As an older property, I was a little worried pulling up that the outside had been freshened up but the rooms wouldn’t be well-maintained. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a mix of the basics, with the coffee machine being the shining star for a large variety of selections. The quality of the room and bed were great and updated bathrooms were a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay here again.

The motel is so clean and completely redone inside of our room. The staff were really nice! The breakfast was good and they had a nice variety of choices. They offered free EV charging, which we used each night. This place is a great place for the money! I was so impressed. We had just stayed at an expensive hotel in the U.S. and it wasn’t nearly as clean. I recommend this place it’s a great choice!

A nice room with a full kitchen. I loved the walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast each morning was a nice way to start our day.

We forgot charging adapters, but not a problem. We just called down to the front desk and were quickly supplied with some loaners. Friendly staff at our late night check-in, as well as check-out.

There is no doubt this is an older hotel/motel. The rooms are small but very well organized. The only addition I would say is a chair in the bedroom. They have taken on the challenge of recycling and do it very well. The breakfast is simple but ample. They have a pillow menu, the towels were fluffy, bright white. And the amenities were well chosen and complete the emphasis on clean organic and recycling. There is a\"great room\" with multiple televisions, a pool table and nice seating, and outside were well place picnic tables. To get into the great room you must use your key and thus we were protected from strangers joining us for breakfast. The two coffee machines offered a full range of choices and was good quality. The coffee available all day. I found this a good choice for the small group we were hosting. The mix of conserving a lovely old motel and still offering high quality \"new\" amenities without moving to a boutique hotel. Any requests were quickly done. Or one error in the reservations were that our request for a dog freindly room was not received but we got it any way without being charged.

Staff are efficient and friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. The building is quiet.
It is central for most things, and close to some lovely walks along the Gorge. And breakfast is included!

I would not recommend this hotel based on our recent stay.

The property is outdated and appears poorly maintained, particularly the pet-friendly rooms. The carpets were old, worn, and had a musty odor. The furniture showed significant wear and tear, and the overall cleanliness did not meet expectations for the price charged. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were extremely hard, resulting in neck discomfort during our stay.

Upon arrival, we also noticed that the shampoo and conditioner containers were only partially filled. Additionally, despite having four registered guests in our room, only two towels were provided.

The most concerning aspect of our stay was an interaction with an individual who identified himself as a staff member named KEVIN. At approximately 8:30 a.m., he aggressively knocked on our door and immediately accused us of failing to declare our dog. He spoke in a loud and confrontational manner and pointed his finger at my husband while making accusations.

Kevin further alleged that we had taken our dog outside at 1:00 a.m. and allowed it to relieve itself on the grass. We said we had been in our room since 7pm and were asleep at the time he referenced. We even suggested that management review the CCTV footage to verify our statement.

Our well behaved dog was properly declared during the online booking process, disclosed again at check-in, and was charged a pet fee. We hope that public & management most especially be more aware about this.

We just returned home from a weekend in Victoria. We chose to stay at the Robin Hood Inn & Suites because of other people's recommendations. We were not disappointed. The whole property is very old and yet the owner's have worked hard at making it comfortable and pleasant. We stayed in a King suite. The bed was very good and the linens were excellent. The room was clean with an updated bathroom. Make sure that you put the rubber mat down in the shower as the shower is very slippery. I wish someone had told me that as I had a bit of a slip on the first day using it. The breakfast was nice. There were apples, hard boiled eggs, cereal and oatmeal, hot chocolate, muffins, yogurt and a nice pancake machine. We checked out at 6:00 am to go to the airport and they even offered to open up the breakfast room for us which was a very kind offer. Thank-you for the nice stay.

Had a lovely stay over three nights here. My room was quiet and clean, no issues at all during my stay. The only thing is that the parking lot can fill up pretty quickly. Other than that, I recommend it.

Great place to stay…outside is a little dated but the massive tree and landscaping is beautiful. Rooms were clean. And suites were very handy. Great price for a great location. Breakfast was good and there was even an outdoor garden with picnic tables. Plus you can’t beat the free kayaking and bikes!!

The guy on reception was very helpful and allowed us to move rooms as the first one was very dark and had a strange aroma. Our second room was lighter and spacious but sadly the aircon unit tripped the lights and sockets. Breakfast was not the best and only had frozen gluten free bread as a gluten free option.
I can understand why some people like it, but we wouldn’t book again.

1. Usually a hotel welcomes me through email or text about an upcoming trip to their
hotel in advance of the stay. Nothing from this one.
2. The room window opened up onto a dirty, busy, noisy hallway.
3. The tv did not work. The front desk man could not make it work and the maintenance man could not make it work.
Finally the front desk gave us a better room, after pleading with him.
My husband seems to think because we booked with Hotels.com that we got an inferior room. The hotel puts online booking clients in the worst rooms and saves the best rooms for direct clients.

Overall, the motel staff was welcoming and friendly (shoutout to Karen, Kevin, and Adi). The food selection for the breakfast was limited. Unfortunately, although we had plans to kayak, we were not informed that we needed to be there 15 mins ahead of time and missed the timing. The e-bike experience was also fun and the staff were helpful with our first time riding the e-bikes with the instructions and directions to the Galloping Goose trails. Thank you!

I laughed when the motel came up as I remembered it from my childhood. I didnt know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by our stay. The rooms weren’t fancy but very clean. I wasn’t bothered by any traffic noise and the bed was very comfortable (best pillows ever). The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The breakfast did the trick and the great room was nice. Awesome to have tea, coffee, and specialty coffees available at all times. The guests mingling and having the pool table gave it a really nice, old time social feeling. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and definitely would recommend it to sport teams as the great room is perfect for hockey team evening hangouts.

They have made changes to improve the breakfast, which was nice to see. It used to be absolutely horrible. It is now a half decent breakfast. The cleaning agent or chemicals they use in the rooms is totally disgusting and leaves the room with an unbearable chemical smell that induces migraine headaches. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms clean and modern. The hotel grounds are all weeds and very unkept.

Shower was unique with lovely scene. The fellow who cleaned our sink trap out was just great. He is also the one who installed the shower. Bathroom door was very creaky and noisy.
Breakfast was fine, especially the attention to detail and cleanliness which was very appreciated.
The garden area could be rejuvenated and cleaned up a bit.
Bed and bedding were good - every thing else was ok.

This is an older facility but it's been updated and it's clean and in a very convenient location. This was our second stay here and we will be back again.
Comfortable and quiet and it's pet friendly. We really enjoyed our bike ride on the complimentary electric bikes and there is a pool table as well.

I really have no idea. Despite paying through Expedia the Hotel refused my reservation as they have a policy of not accepting customers with local addresses, seriously. And they would not refund saying call Expedia. Expedia said a) call the hotel and both b) and c) hung up on me (I was very polite so thinking their contact centre needs some quality control).

I would definitely stay at Robin Hood Inn and Suites again, The rooms are quite basic but bed is very comfy, pillows were great. The thing I noticed the most though was how clean the room was. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels…most a lot nicer than this one but this is the cleanest one I’ve stayed at. I pulled the bedside table to see if there was a plug in for charging my phone. The plug in was not there but there was also no dust bunnies, which is almost unheard of in hotels. Because of this cleanliness, I would stay here again, Cost of the room also included continental breakfast which is another plus. It’s walking distance to Starbucks and a couple of nice restaurants, which is another plus. The staff and check-in and checkout were very polite, helpful and professional, Oh and they also have pet friendly rooms,

The shower was terrible and one of the shower heads was broken. Some of the outlets had no power. Lots of dust around the room and the AC was not cleaned. Staff were nice and the bed was super comfy, however the towels were very rough. Overall it is decent for the price but I will probably pay for a nicer hotel next time.

Not a great experience at all. Stains all over the couch and a dead rat at the entrance of the Inn wasn't a great first impression.

It was so hard to sleep with all the noise outside our room and we didn't use the pull out couch due to the stains, etc - so we asked and the manager to change rooms. He said no problem. Pack your bags and I will personally move them to the new room before you arrive back to the hotel. When we got back - nothing was moved and the staff said there was no message to move us and no rooms available.

Overpriced, dirty, and poorly managed - you can find a better place to stay.

Another great stay. The dog set provides treats, metal bowls, plastic tray and bed- great way to keep fido from messing up. Better than the usual hotel morning fare, 2 machines for specialty coffee drinks, no waiting. Older building, rooms renovated and large. Lots of bathroom counter space. Ebikes available for use. this motel is 10 min from downtown, 15 min by bus (bus stops 10 min walk away from motel). It's quiet and quite affordable by Victoria standards. Plus, amazingly, they still offer a decent free breakfast in the mornings!
The staff are friendly and efficient.
