We were looking forward to staying in a Parador as we had read fabulous reviews however this Parador is a little tired, the decor is old and stuffy. Our room was a very good size with a seating area but no tea and coffee making facilities and no complimentary water, though there was water in the minibar to purchase. Though there is free parking the main town is not walkable from the hotel so be prepared to pay 10-13 euros each way for a taxi. As we were visiting in December and were not taking advantage of the beautiful pool and gardens we would have preferred to stay within walking distance of the old town.

The parador is set away from the centre of town in an obviously affluent residential area so is quiet and calm, although it's a short taxi ride to the historic centre. The staff are welcoming, especially at reception, and rooms spacious (although bathroom is small) with balconies. The junior suite is huge. The pool is also huge (and unheated) surrounded by lovely gardens. It is good value for money. The restaurant is good (book ahead, it gets busy when it opens).

Very nice traditional Parador hotel just on northern suburb of the city. Really good gardens and large pool area, which you can’t get in the city centre. Only €10 max to city centre and sights in a taxi, very easy to get taxis in and out.

A beautiful hotel but the reception was cold and condescending. Staff is over worked and under appreciated. The pool and room was wonderful but the overall sense was of a “business in trouble”. I would suggest trimming a few of the aristocratic management and updating the service staff to this century.

One night stay

We were only staying one night and only booked in that day. The hotel is lovely with great views from the terrace. But it’s a taxi ride to the old town. The hotel booked us a taxi but getting one back proved to be a problem. They were unhelpful when we phoned them and it took at least an hour before a taxi stopped for us. That was the only down side but as the hotel is out of town I think they should have advised us how to pre book our return.

Lovely gardens with water feature and pool. Our balcony gave us a terrific view out across Cordoba. The hotel is in the edge of the city but a ten minute taxi ride from the centre. It has a quiet relaxed feel. It has its own vegetable garden within the grounds, tennis courts in the grounds and a golf range and pitch and put course adjacent.

A very comfortable and spacious hotel with great views. Very clean throughout. Great service in the restaurant and bar area. The only downside was a small bathroom (especially in relation to the size of our junior suite) with a shower in the bath. They really need to refurbish these older bathrooms but we had a great stay despite this.

Paradors excel in service and quality

Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the food and service was excellent. Only disappointment was that the pool area was closed and gate locked and there were no chairs or benches in the shaded areas. I was told that the sun shade canopies on the bar terrace were out of order but a manager managed to get one of the handymen to repair a couple of shades after multiple requests for a seat in the shade.

Really enjoyed my stay. It’s 3km out of town so about 9 euros in a taxi to get in. Great pool and gardens though, so there’s the trade off. Some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but I like that. Staff, food and facilities are excellent. Worth paying for a pool view with balcony. Overall, real value for money.

Another Parador visit

Two night stay at a very comfortable Parodor. We had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Only issue was the shower sometimes ran scaldingly hot. Breakfast was good but could have been better. Coffee was foul.

Excellent Parador. Very efficient and friendly staff on reception; in the main restaurant and in the bar dining terrace. Manuella in the Terrace bar was excellent - really hard working and pleasant with everyone even when she was under pressure with many guests arriving at once and she was working solo. That is my only slight 'negative' that there was perhaps under staffing in this area at times. Food was very good and our room well maintained. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would not hesitate to return if we were in the area again.

What a lovely place to stay and we've already booked to return in March. But, we won't eat there again as our food and the disinterest we were shown when I commented how poorly cooked the chulitas was has been a poor experience. But several nice looking Pizza restaurants are local so no problem there.

I don’t think a la carte ordering was possible and the are no nearby restaurants, so bring some food if you don’t want the breakfast buffet. It is not close to the historic centre, but there seemed to be many parking lots.

Beautiful property with old world charm. The pool and deck were beautiful and rooms clean and spacious. Free parking was great. I was just not thrilled that there was no coffee machine in my room and I was forced to pay for a very expensive breakfast in order to just have coffee as I could not eat the food. The hotel is NOT located near any stores where you can get some coffee on your own. Otherwise it was a great place.

Restaurant has excellent food although lunch and dinners are same menu. Breakfast has excellent selection and very good. Pool is wonderful for an afternoon dip from the heat. Rooms are large and the biggest bath towels I’ve ever seen. Overall excellent place and would definitely recommend to everyone. Wonderful gardens and patio overlooking terraced gardens, free parking is a plus.

Lovely place, room had spectacular balcony overlooking the entire city of Córdoba. Small mixup on the reservation straightened out with my printout of my hotels.com reservation.
Bartender, Maitre’d, waiter and the hardest working person I have ever seen made dinner delightful.
Easy taxi ride into town, wouldn’t want to drive into all the pedestrian areas necessary to get to the things one wants to see

Stayed for one night. Absolutely fabulous building. I am in a bit of a quondry how to mark this place. The rooms are decent enough. The only thing is the staff. They appear to know that this is a fabulous building and did not need to make an effort to to make us welcome (apart from one chap who saw us to the room he was excellent) The food was good in the restaurant. The air conditioning was an absolute waste of time in our room.

You have to experience at least one Parador hotel

Beautiful location and building. Dining facilities and staff were fantastic and the meal was very enjoyable. The room was lovely but the be/ mattress was pretty basic ( and uncomfortable) from what I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The air fan in our room was noisy and while the front desk staff said they would have the problem remedied, all maintenance did was switch the fan on low setting which seriously compromised the quality of air in the room.

Driving from Seville, hard to find with Mapquest directions. Hotel was nice, but a little dated.. helpful staff. Use a taxi to get around in Córdoba even if you drive. Restaurant at hotel was ok and reasonably priced. The cathedral made from a mosque was fascinating. Nice drinking dining options in town

The hotel car park was full when we arrived. The room was impressive and had a balcony but with uninspired furniture. The bathroom was tired with no separate shower and the pillows were so uncomfortable we did not sleep well.
