From checking in with Tara, to checking out with Zoe the whole experience was seamless. Karla, Abbie, Heather and Austin took great care of us in the bar/dining area. Everyone was nice and helpful, it seemed like this hotel had a well ran staff. The views are breathtaking and it is unbelievably quiet and peaceful. Room was cleaned and well stalked with everything we would need. Highly recommend and would come back again. Thank you guys for making it such a wonderful time!

Was in room 26 above the kitchen and restaurant... we spoke to the manager and was told this room is filled last due to the noise ... we checked in at just after 1pm hours before check in and there were many rooms empty at the time of check in so filling the room last i don't believe . Friday Harbor House was a great place for the two of us to retreat to after exploring the island and bioluminescent kayaking with Discovery Sea Kayaks. The location is incredibly convenient to walk to everything in town and from the ferry (it is up a small hill).

We planned a short getaway to Friday Harbor with our two small children. I booked the room with the garden terrace not quite knowing what to expect. WOW! Although we felt a little awkward with the kids (most people staying there at the time did not have kids), we were very warmly welcomed by the staff. The garden terrace rooms led right outside the the lawn, views of the ferries, and fire pits. We were able to get the kids asleep and step outside to enjoy a drink and the fires both nights. We regretfully did not eat dinner at the restaurant at Friday Harbor House (no menu options that seemed feasible for a picky toddler), but we did enjoy a delicious breakfast. The room and amenities were excellent. I enjoyed my first experience making coffee with a Chemex, and I appreciated the bottles of wine available for purchase just inside the room. If we had not brought the kids with us, I could have happily spent the whole time at the hotel enjoying the views. For those with kids, the grocery store is just down the street, the whale museum is next door, and there are multiple coffee shops and ice cream places a stone's throw away. I can't wait to come back here again!

Be aware, at the time that we were there (May 19-20, 2023) they not only required reservations for – get this – breakfast! – but failed to tell us we needed them. It was a gorgeous day and without a reservation they would only seat us inside. Thanks to the perseverance of a delightful waitress named Jamie who went to bat for us that we were able to sit outside. Thank you Jamie! You deserve a raise!
