the property is shabby. Looks like they don't put any money into upkeep. poorly patched drywall, potholes in the parking area, holes in the wall at the elevator buttons. AC in the room did not work, felt like the room was 80+ degrees even with the ac on. AC controls looked like they were 1970's vintage. Will NOT stay at the Wendover Nugget again...

There were 3 outlets (2 plugs each) accessible and only 1 plug within the 6 worked well enough to keep the plug plugged in.

There were moth looking holes in the curtain that brought light into the room all night.

The bathtub/shower was nice because it was a wide tub that made it feel less claustrophobic.

The place was dirty felt old , the staff was terrible. People aren’t friendly the carpet inside the room felt dirty and sticky. The worst part about staying there room 304 the AC was not working properly and walking from the bathroom to the hallway there was a stick that would stab you in your foot. I will not recommend this hotel. Overall a bad experience and the smoke odor was horrible definitely not for kids or pets

It was my first time heading to the casino. It was bad impressions because I told the staff it was my first time here. Nobody help me where to tell me where’s my room the air conditioner was really bad. I couldn’t sleep well there cause it was Hella hot. I have my Sister that it was disabled. Nobody helped me with her. I will not come back here no more.

Front desk staff 2 girls was very un professional,bossy , no kindness, no smiling, people come just to check in or out not to ask favor or blame for a service, the experience in others hotels was pleasant, for the first time there were poor attendance of front desk .

Have definitely stayed in better smoking rooms. No coffee maker or microwave. The paint was peeling, the bathroom shower door wouldn't close properly. The parking garage seemed to be collapsing, very sketchy. The inside of the building could do with some serious updates or completely tear the building down and start new, peeling wallpaper everywhere. Carpets half taped down. The elevator buttons appeared to have been punched into the wall, no light fixture covers. Wires everywhere. Half of the elevators weren't working. The phone in the room wasn't working, the television wasn't working. There was no enough towels for the number of guests put on reservation. I would not recommend staying at this facility to anyone I know

I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt this one needed to be shared. We ended up staying in Wendover longer than expected and booked this place last minute. The elevators were out of service, and while the room itself was decent, the bathroom was disgusting.

The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or used in quite some time. Thankfully, I had sanitizing wipes with me because I ended up cleaning the seat myself, there was dust and debris all over it. Even the toilet paper looked like it had gotten wet at some point and then put back on the holder. It was hard and crusty.

We left the next morning and didn’t even want to shower because the bathroom grossed us out that much. The only positive thing I can say is that the check-in/check-out staff was friendly.

Save your money and skip this place.

They indicated it was \"remodeled\" I assure you it is NOT. Before we got inside the hotel, the parking garage concrete was crumbling and rebar was sticking out. The front desk employees were to busy talking to each other to bother helping us. The room was not even equiped with air conditioning. Tape held the carpet together on the seams. I would hope that hotel would complete the remodel before advertising they are done.

Where do I start?
1. I paid for the hotel room ahead of time, and when I got there, I was informed of an addition $23 charge for “fees”. This was underhanded and sneaky.
2. There is no fridge or even a coffee machine in your room, so you have to literally buy everything. Most hotel rooms come with a coffee machine at the least.
3. The place is disgusting and run down. The carpet is literally duct taped down, the only light in the room is a table lamp, the light switches are from the 1970’s and dodgy.
4. The first room we were given flooded when you flushed the toilet. I went down to the main desk to request a different room. The staff BEGRUDGINGLY gave me a different room. The second room I got, none of the plugs worked so I could not recharge my phone at all.
5. Do not stay at this place! They will charge you for hidden things and not give you the basic services!

Stayed at the Nugget as it was the only hotel not sold out. The elevators were not working. Charged a resort fee for a pool and hot tub that were not useable. The morning of departure, there was water pouring out of the ceiling onto our car and plaster and drywall over it.

This property was the worst place I have stayed in a very long time. Only one elevator was working and it took sometime 10mins, the ac didn’t work in the room, for some reason I was put in a smoking room, I don’t smoke and I don’t understand why people would ever smoke in a room, the parking garage was horrible, the property was dirty and not maintained and there were not enough towels, I was told they could not get more until the morning.

I will never stay there again and plan on letting everyone I know not to either. The staff is nice but miss directed us to our rooms and would walk away from us when talking, so you couldn’t hear them especially with the blaring music come from everywhere. Only on elevator worked out of the six we saw and we were on the 8th floor. A previous review 8 months before our stay stated that the elevators were not working then either. They charge you an additional fee of $23.20 cents for the pool OM 4th floor that you have to take the stairs to get to because the elevator is down, regardless if you swim in it or not. Plus they make you pay an extra $50 that you get back when you check out. They have a cafe but breakfast is not included. The shower takes forever to get hot water. Then we had another guest who had a dog barking at midnight and loose in the hallway the front desk was called and they said they would call security for it but it was still barking at 2:00 am. The window opened on our room but there was no screen and we were on the 8th floor. Not worth the hassle to go to this motel especially with all the other ones that look so much better so close.
My husband didn’t order a drink when gambling and was told that that would make the other servers mad.

Dive casino. Trying to make it as though they are a high level destination, but you can't really hide a pig. Rooms need help, water pressure and temp were awful. TV system is difficult, no on screen guide or selections. Casino floor is a ghost town. No craps table until after 6pm and it seems only on weekends now. No craps machine either. Only as a last resort do we stay at this property.

Room very unclean, drapes/curtains broken light was shining through the whole time because there wasn’t a way to close the curtains, toilet had plumbing issues, the shower didn’t work well. graffiti on the walls, elevators broken down. For staying at a casino I feel like it’s unacceptable. I’ve stayed at motels nicer than this. This room or those rooms we stayed in are not ready for guests. I will say the check in staff was nice but that’s about the only good thing. Would never stay here again without a better room and accommodations. I’m not one to complain much either and didn’t during my stay but when I thought about it I was like this needs to be somewhat known, because it wasn’t a good room, it was also stuffy with no air conditioning just a weak fan.

The young lady who checked us in was slurping her Starbucks drink while talking to us. There's also construction going on so there was only 1 elevator available for the area we were in. Not recommended if traveling with an elderly person or anyone who may have difficulty walking.

We regretted choosing this as our overnight spot in Wendover. The exterior is a bit dilapidated, and the inside more than matches. This review is for the hotel only as we did not spend time in the casino. The front desk staffer we were met with was far from friendly and incredibly slow to help us with our reservation, even though there were no other guests checking in. The halls between rooms were poorly lit with peeling paint and dirt streaks everywhere. The room was the same, poorly lit, peeling wallpaper and ceiling tiles falling apart from water damage. The bathroom door was a size I highly doubt is ADA compliant if you need mobility aids and hard to shut due to water damage, the toilet had no lid, the bathroom floor was dirty, as was the tub in the shower. The carpet had seen far better days. I found myself wishing I’d brought flip flops for wearing in the shower and around the room. We only booked there because Expedia was running a deal. Their regular rates seem to be about the same as the Holiday Inn in town. Stay there instead.
