Nice, no frills hotel room. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. Could use some better outlet plugs since everyone has so many devices these days that have to charge. Would have also appreciated a fridge and microwave, but I know that's a Nevada thing. Games were fun, but cocktail service was practically non-existent, even though it was slow and we were sitting right near the bar. Love the on-site restaurant! Overall, a decent stay, and will visit again.

Expedia listed a pool, there is no pool. Asked for an extra pillow and staff did not know how to get extra pillows. No coffee anywhere in the building at 7am, dinner opened at 8 offering coffee. Room was very clean and well maintained. Very limited outlets to charge any devices you may have.

Only complaint i have is, we had to change rooms after we discovered there was only one outlet in the bathroom area and it did not work, which I needed to use my curling iron. This was an inconvenience, he had unpacked and had to grab everything and move to 6 rooms down the hall. But other than that,our stay was good.

It was cheap so expectations were already pretty low. But decently comfortable beds and clean. An okay place to crash for the night. The elevator didn't work so hauling bags up/down a flight of stairs wasn't ideal. The ice machines were out of order. The smoke detector in our room had low batteries so it was beeping. The maintenance guy came and fixed it quickly though. It would be great if there was coffee provided somewhere.

Not clean at all. The ceiling had a hole. When you on the bathroom light the fan starts with it and is extremely load and obnoxious. Window sill is broken. There was a huge bug in the room. When asked for a refund we were told to contact Expedia.

Kinda wished there was a microwave or fridge in the room, but for a night or two there it worked out fine. I appreciated how close this hotel was to everything whether you were dining in or outside of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Our room. Was clean, AC worked great. Batteries in the TV remote were dead. We didnt get the room we reserved through Expedia, should have been a room with King bed, we were given a room with two queens. Only 2 towels for a room with two beds. Casino was dead, very tight machines.

This was my first stay here, a ghost town, don’t know if it’s due to the flood last year. First off, check in was awful the girl was “on break” when we got there to check in and security was manning the desk. She had a line at a busy time around 6pm. Our room was fairly clean, but elevator didn’t work, the ice machine on second floor didn’t work. Absolutely no hot water for a shower in the morning and to top it off after a long night of drinking and gambling the fire alarm went off at 8am, and we went to call the front desk and our phone in the room didn’t work. Apparently it was a false alarm. I most likely wouldn’t ever stay here again, and will stick to my rainbow or montego bay.

It was nice that I was moved to another affiliated hotel after a flood at Red Garter…that was suppose to be an upgrade “Nugget” but it is very dated with stains on the carpet. The heater also did not work so the room was very cold. I mentioned it at checkout and the clerk acted like he didn’t hear me. I never stayed at the Red Garter but if The Nugget is an upgrade I have to really consider whether the low price is worth it. I didn’t contact the desk to check the heater as it was 11pm and figured no one could do anything.

Pros: Clean, nice rooms. Heating and cooling worked great. Roomy, well lit vanity area.
Hotel was renovated nicely , we hadn't been there in 15 years. Casino had lots of slots for being smaller. Cocktail waitress came often with free drinks. Easily able to ger around in my wheelchair.
Cons: pillows were too worn, flat flat, not able to fluff up. No refrigerator or microwave. Bed was getting a little to broke in for my likes. Cleaning staff trying to enter room at 10:45 and they didnt have late check outs on weekends. Casino only had table card games Friday to Sunday. Casino didn't have late late night eating options or snack kiosk. One restaurant 6a.m. to 1 a.m. it wasnt 24 hrs. No other 2 a.m. food delivery to that casino

Hotel appeared dead as well, yet they put us in a room that had a view of a building that was 5’ away. So run down. Broken elevator. Broken ice machine.

There are pros and cons wherever you stay.
My only real complaint is false advertising. They have a big lit up sign out front showing the Prospector Cafe is open 24 hours. That's 1/2 the reason I chose this place \"assuming\" I could get breakfast at 5:00 am. I mentioned this to employees at the restaurant and front desk. They are all aware of this and said management won't do anything about it.
If you're an early bird like me and like breakfast, I would suggest someplace else that honestly offers it.

Doors on the sides and back of hotel are not secure. Anyone and everyone could walk straight in. The walls are very thin and do not block the screams of noisy children and loud icemaker. The air-conditioning unit was missing the grill and was filthy dirty. I did need to turn the heat on, but immediately turned it off because it stunk so bad like burning dust. I will never stay here again. I will stay at the Peppermill. The coffee bar serve warm drip coffee. Their espresso machine was broken. So dumb. Plus the room that we stayed in at a terrible odor. There wasn’t much I could do about moving Hotels so I just stayed.

This is a pretty old hotel. I’ve stayed there before in the zoo carpet it definitely needs better food in the area that they eat in or the cafeteria or whatever you’d like to call. It really needs to be upgraded really bad all the other hotels out of town completely updated. I don’t know who owns this particular hotel but he needs to put some money in it. Otherwise they’re gonna lose it.

It was hot and stinky from the second we walked in and not one employee greeted us the entire stay. The services were very limited, basically close to none. We had no ice maching, it was out of service. Our non smoking room smelt like people were smoking and the hallways were hot and muggy with absolutley no air flow. YUCK!! Our room temp was set at 78 degrees, so we could barely breathe. The air conditioning was the only thing that worked well for us. Terrible experience and we will never stay here again.

First problem...the ONE trolly they have for carrying luggage, etc from the car....is BROKEN!! We are seniors and need help with this. If it had not been for a young man named JESSE arriving at the front desk while i was checking in....and offering to carry everything for us...I would have been left to make 5 trips back and forth!! JESSE was so very helpful and thoughtful when the woman at check in seemed uninvolved.
Next problem...I had left my 85 year old husband in the car with the A/C running as it was a long walk to the entrance and check in. When I returned with Jesse I got my husband out of the car and Jesse took us on a short cut to our room. The problem is I did not remember I had left the car running for my husband and none of us heard the engine was on. It STAYED ON for hours until it ran out of gas. The next day my car would not start and I nothing indicated the problem. Out of Gas came up but I knew i had gas. I went in for help and was given the name of a tow company. I found a security guard on my way back out and explained my problem...he interrupted and told me that my car had been running ALL NIGHT and that they could not find WHO it belonged to. WHAT!! The front desk had the year, make. model, color and address that would account for Washington plates!!! Yet...they did not know who's car was running for hours. Security man GEORGE was incredible and very understanding and helpful. THANK YOU GEO. My mistake but Hotel FAILED to prevent damage.

The staff at this hotel clearly do not like working at this casino/hotel. The hotel seemed understaffed. We waited in line for 30 minutes to check in. They only had one front desk clerk. Other staff preferred to ignore customers instead of helping them. I booked a room for 3 people. Only 2 towel and 2 wash clothes were in the room. We went down to the front desk to ask for another towel and we were told to come back in 30 minutes after shift change.
The bath tub struggled to drain and the shower had a hard time getting hot water.
The bedding was clean and the beds were made nice. The towels that were there were hung up nicely. The carpets were vacuumed. The bed was comfortable enough but not the same as your own bed. The air-conditioning unit looked like it wanted to fall out of the wall but it worked great. It kept our room a cool 68 degrees. The room was non smoking but it still smelled like cigarettes.
I pre-paid for the room through Expedia. When I got to the hotel I had to put an addition 123.00 deposit. All of but 23.50 was refunded back. I am not sure why I didn't get the 23.50 back. The staff wouldn't say what it was for. They gave me a receipt but it didn't say what it was for either. Before I checked out I made the beds, and folded the towel and washclothes and set them on top of the toilet. We combined our trash to one bin. We wiped down the counters. This place really isn't worth the cost. Travelers find a better hotel than the Red Garter.

The heater/ac unit was very noisy at times making a grinding noise and the bed was uncomfortable. Also no place to plug in my cpap machine since the only outlet was in the middle of the headboard and we couldn’t get to it. No outlets on the bedside lamps. No coffee maker in the room so we went to the Starbucks in the casino and it wasn’t open yet. We were leaving early and needed coffee. When it finally opened their espresso machine wasn’t working so they only had regular coffee. We won’t stay there again.
