Beautiful landscape with awesome swimming pool and ocean view but the property is somewhat rundown. It’s not being maintained. The hardware in my bathroom is rusty. Definitely looks old and it smelled like sewer after taking a long shower. Room is big but very dull. No character for what is advertised as 5 star hotel. Breakfast is a typical Filipino breakfast; not exciting for a hotel rated as 5 star.

This property is very pricey, yet it lacks maintenance and amenities. The villa has 2 bathrooms and another toilet, but they left only half used toilet papers and no more extras left for use. And we stayed 2 nights for 6 people. For paying that high price of the villa, I don’t think it is worth it to stay there. Plus more added deposits and resort fees. There was only 1 or 2 groups I’ve seen during my 2 nights stay, probably because no one will repeat business with them because of it’s being vey pricey when it doesn’t even have amenities. The pool is very far, the ocean side is also far from the villa. You would have to call for the free shuttle every time you have to come out and enjoy the pool and ocean view, if you do not have your own car. It is very poorly maintained. There were buildings or rooms and debris from buildings that were eye sore and were just let go of some of the villas or rooms. It was unkept. I noticed on my 2nd morning that since we were staying in that particular villa, so it was mowed that day too. I noticed after I came back from breakfast.

This property was on the luxury category on the website, but there's a lot that doesn't consider at luxury to my own opinion I've traveled all the world ,but its near to a 5 star. We stayed on a 2 bedroom villa, the bathroom is terrible, the water coming out on faucet is spraying, literally spraying on me wbile using it. It also leaked the water just goes down under the sink ,water all over the floor , the towels are dark white ready eeww! Get this one ,..there is deep soaker tub but no water coming out ,it judt trickles how can you fill the bath tub , no not water either
.The bedrooms are big , but there's something missing ,it's only a bed ,, there's no chair to sit in the bedroom its just blank .The curtains wete already old with water stains, its kind of gross..The food selection on the buffet is very average. The grill & barbecue restaurant, we had dinner oh boy the seafood is so gross. The taste ,,the quality of the food is terrible, .I can't believed their serving this food to guests, We didn't eat the food & I brought this attention to the server.,,as a foreigner this is not acceptable, they charge the price for a 5 star luxury resort but the quality of food I can't eat this kind. I can prepare tbis food way better .The toilet by the buffet area was plugged,,its gross its near the restaurant.

We arrived with no hot water and reported it immediately. They fixed the problem right away and resolved the problem that night.
We requested a microwave and provided it right away. Pillows are great and mattress felt good.
Staff is friendly and excellent service. Plan to stay again to this Hotel in the future.

The property is in urgent need of a renovation
Pools had tiles broken and missing
The beach was not maintained to any extent
Overall the property is not inviting
Almost all paintwork is rusting or very faded
The casino isn’t on site it’s a transfer bus ride away
Must say the restaurants were nice. Great food and great staff

The staff at the restaurant look so tired, The service was so slow, the drinks we order took 35 mins, we have to follow it up. They served the food one oder after the other!
My sister’s food was missed! We were half way eating our food when we called their attention, that’s when we’ve learned it wasn’t included.

Nice venue, good views of sunset, the property is run down and falling apart, elevator did not work. The food is more like cafeteria food not classy or even decent. The pools were big but tile falling apart my son cut his feet so not safe at all. The aircon was good, coffee and bakery was good (Deli Shop). The staff was all nice and pleasant. Will not be going back due to poor property conditions!!

wrong timing for our stay, no wifi and tv signal for the 1st day, they fixed it the nxt day. on the day of the checkout power went out and the villa we stayed in has a very noisy generator. we were given 4 small bottles of water. we needed 2 xtra on our last day and they made us pay

Hotel surroundings were good, but the hotel overall was not worth the price for the ff. reasons: no beach area/dirty and not swimmable, room was spacious but subpar and amenities not well thought-out, e.g., showers had tile flooring and door not properly installed, room lighting was tricky. Check-in/out process not smooth. Stairs going up to 2nd floor too hard for seniors or people with disabilities. Why no elevator?

The hotel is tired. Soft beds, No international power point in rooms, No room service information or anything to help in rooms with hotel info. No mini bar, A lovely pool near the beach but limited shade. No shade on beach in terms of umbrellas.thumping music at 6:30am at breakfast. Highlight was paying for a adapter so I could use my laptop and then when returning it being told I hadn’t paid a deposit for it even though I handed paperwork to them? Very expensive for a poor experience.

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa. I stayed for one day just for the experience coz i see a lot of photos of people that have been there. The rooms were neat, it was really beautiful. The pools by the sea were amazing. The place is good. But the villas we reserved was kinda far from the main amenities so we either had to take the shuttle or use our car to have breakfast. Breakfast buffet is great. BUT BUT and but i felt I didn’t get my money’s worth with this stay. When we arrived there i noticed some sand on the floor. I thought, maybe, they were not able to vacuum the floor real good. I didn’t want to think the villa was not cleaned before we occupied it. But i looked around and saw windows are too dusty. My baby kept on going under the curtain playing and started sneezing. Maybe they should periodically check behind the curtains. I didn’t take a shower until the next day only to find some LONG hair that were in the shower drain, so disgusting!!!!We have not used the shower only the bath tub after we went swimming so no one used the shower plus my husband’s hair is short! I paid 450$/day for the dirty bathroom???!!! I will never check in to Thunderbird anymore again. Maybe they didn’t clean the toilet too? I couldn't tell anymore coz my husband used it once we got to the hotel. So im pretty much disappointed overall. With this hotel price, there should be no excuse for not being able to sweep the floor, or clean the bathroom my golly!!!

I was charged additional 3600 pesos ( about $75) for 2 additional persons because they said room was reserved for 2 only but my reservation was good for 4 persons.

I hated when they have hidden charges and you have to pay upon check in.

Its a Resort anybody would like to stay and enjoy. Just look at the pictures and sceneries as they have advertised as well as the lodgings.
I really would like to stay in this resort again if I have to the next time. Their staff are professionals. The price range are ok in my opinion.

For the cost that the resort charges, the facilities and the services were substandard. Total RIP OFF. A resort hotel that does not have enough poolside towels is absurd, but this was exactly what we experienced in this resort. No towels. The surroundings of the pool areas were dirty. The bathrooms were stained/dirty and smelly. The bathrooms in the 2 bedroom villas we stayed in were dingy. There were not enough towels and bath supplies. The lawn was essentially dirt as the plants were either dead or dying.

We were forced to get a 2-bedroom villa because we drove 6 hours and security wouldn't let us in because the place is \"at maximum capacity.\" We came for the day tour which we confirmed with the staff over the phone the previous day. The security guard asked \"who did you speak with?\" As if questioning if I was telling the truth which was very annoying. Wouldnt even let us in to go to the front desk. Good think there was a villa available on expedia due to a last minute cancellation. Once we told him we went ahead and booked a villa, he then proceeded to ask for \"proof.\" This should be done at the front desk not at the parking lot where security stops everyone. And guess what, this \"maximum capacity\" hotel's pools were empty. We were the only ones there yet they wouldnt let us in. Pools had no proper stairs. The tiles were broken. Lot of broken trees. No beach access because of the storm according to staff which they should lower the price. Paid 25 grand for 2 mediocre pools. Airconditioning in the rooms suck. Asked for a fan and they wouldnt provide one. They kept sending engineering which i asked them not to because my boyfriend was already sleeping. They still went in, woke my bf up and cleaned the a/c filter at 1am. I don't see why the staff think theyre high and mighty. Place was nothing special.

Outlets don’t work in the room, lights flicker, no blow dryer iron board in the room, had to continue to ask for everything like towels, toilet paper tissue. Check in and found dirt dust behind furniture. Overall Need to train maintenance & provide basic needs in the room. However friendly staff. Maintenance Issue

The resort looks very nice, so it's perfect for picture taking. The staff are attentive & friendly. The hotel room where I stayed is comfortable, but the bathroom is not clean. There are molds on the tiles, and the faucets have grimes. Outside, the infinity pool is inviting. However, when I stepped into the swimming pool, I felt the slippery tiles and saw how dirty it was. Clearly, the resort is not well maintained, and cleanliness is a major issue.

The overall impression the place evoked was deterioration, wear and tear, miserably poor maintenance and utterly dirty. Looks like management just wanted to scrimp on expenses and decided to sacrifice quality and service. The buffet food was terrible, there were too many flies and the food staff, while courteous, were obviously lacking in training and sophistication. The bathroom reeked of sewer smell coming out of the shower drainage vent. The corridors/ hallways are dirty, with bird droppings and broken stairway light. The gym is obviously left to gather dust and get old. There are corners that are just ugly, dumped with some garbage or repair equipment stuff. The swimming pool near the restroom reeks of some foul smell. The only redeeming value to this place is the Japanese resto. Cheap and mediocre is the overall ambience. Looks like current manpower just couldn’t handle the required upkeep of the place. This could have been a great resort given the wonderful location, but it was marred by poor management. Please save Thunderbird. It can still be the Santorini of the Philippines.

It was just okay.

First. We were happy to be accommodated earlier than check-in time. And happy to be granted for a late check out.
Second. Referring to hotels.com hotel/villa description was WRONG - 1 King bed and 1 Queen Bed. Actual is 1 Queen and 2 single in our Villa and yes we did confirm no set up of King and Queen. Additional Bed is a mattress which is Queen size mattress, with additional cost aside from extra person, so please clarify before you book. Even to the website of Thunderbird - Pictures are not accurate with the 2 villa.
Third. Our extra queen size bed was not set and took 2 follow ups (one in the afternoon and before bed time) before they had it sent to the villa. They didn't even set up the bed when they delivered. They just left the bed cover and blanket on top of the mattress.
Fourth. Our chauffeur accidentally ran over my friend while he was reversing the vehicle. But we didn't complain. Nothing serious and no harm was done. I just thought that if you were in the service industry and you're having a bad day please don't bring it with you while at work.

I am just telling you about our stay. Over all we didn't bother those shortcoming because we we're enjoying each other's company. And most of the time we do work/leisure during the stay. So We enjoyed. Food at Fira was okay. Olives restaurant was good, I love the view.
Frankly money wise. It wasn't worth it but will go back to try the hotel and casino.

Easy check in and out. Good breakfast buffet but ala carte dinner at Olives restaurant needs improvement (pizza was delicious though). Cookies at the coffee shop were delicious. Our room had a great view, beds comfortable, bathroom is good. Infinity pool was nice. Beach is rocky so not for swimming.

A nice hotel if you want privacy and to relax

The hotel is pretty reserved in itself, it is located in an economic zone so there is plenty of privacy not to many tourist or surfers around. They have really nice pools to choose and has a small access on the beach but there is not much to look around. Villas are still being made and iconstruction is ongoing in some areas. The staff are very nice and polite and would greet you or say Hi all the time. The room that we stayed with was okay, the beds are comfy only thing was the bathroom has still some stains on the bathroom sink like old glass rust stains. The grass in our patio was kinda over grown, but overall our stay was pretty decent.

We had to request for another room due to the dustiness of the villa, our cable was not working and there was a leak in one of toilets in the bathrooms. Understandbly, being outdoors, insects try to make their way into the room, but seeing dead insects or cobwebs was not acceptable for what we paid. Dont get suckered into paying for the breakfast buffett. We didnt include it with our stay, but did decide to check it out and it was discouraging that they would charge almost 14 US dollars for what they were serving. The layout of the villa was perfect and we slept comfortably.

Disappointing!

The hotel/facility is OK, no access to the beach unless it's low tide. If given the chance, I will check-in to a different hotel. The price we paid for per night was not worth it compare to other hotel.

Staff was not helpful at all. I asked for the server by the pool and the lifeguard said that he will call someone. After almost an hour, no server showed up. The lifeguard didn't even apologize. He was busy chatting with his coworkers. Also, 90% of the staff will not even bother greet you!

We had our room cleaned, but they didn't even remove the dirty dishes in our room. I asked the cleaning lady why it's still there, she said that's not their job and I should call the room service myself to inform them. The room service will remove it.
