Spacious room, awesome breakfast with a stunning view, comfortable common space, mostly friendly staff, and terrific location. However, the hotel is def rundown as stated by other guests. It was clean but outdated, in need of paint job, etc. but clean.

Our hotel stay was lovely. The room was large and well equipped and the view from the balcony was awesome.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The restuarant menu although small is also very good. I found all the staff very helpful and obliging . The only downside of our stay is that the hotel pool is closed (which is notified in advance ...seasonal pool) but as the temperature is 26/28 degrees it seems ridiculous that they dont open it. Additionally what we didnt realise is that it also means all of the outdoor area is closed. They really are missing a trick as bar/lunch sales would be much higher if the outdoor areas were open. Saying all this, we still had a wonderful stay and would come back

The view from my room at sunset was spectacular. I was only there overnight due to a layover on my way home from Málaga. The young lady that checked me in was kind, attentive and helpful. The next morning when checking out the attendant was asleep on a lobby sofa which caught me off guard.

A beautiful, clean and good value hotel with large, spacious rooms offering stunning views over Melilla. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was generous and the pool is a great asset.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with our broken Spanish.
The rooms could do with a refresh, notably there's no ventilation in the bathrooms. Be aware that the hotel sits atop a hill so is a short but steep walk from the city centre and beaches.
As an additional note, we found Melilla to be extremely safe, calm and friendly, but make sure you’ve learnt basic Spanish as a minimum as very little English is spoken here.
Overall, apart from a few minor issues, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Was ok, old hotel, would have been great years ago. The pool is only open for short periods of time, breakfast was Ok. Air con was ok but did not get the room super cold. Staff were friendly and the Waiter staff were great.

We had a lovely stay at Parador de Melilla. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean, excellent attention to detail. Buffet breakfast was varied. There was a lovely pool. The Hotel in general has a very Grand vintage feel for affordable prices

Very bad hotel

The hotel is deteriorating Year over year. This year, it is in a bad shape.
The aC was off when we checked in, the room
Temperature read 33C on the fifth floor room, we turned the AC on at 15:15 and it ran for 7 straight hours but the room was still steaming at 29C. We asked to change the room at midnight and we moved the bags from 5th to 2 Ms floor one by one, they don’t have a bellman cart to help guest
Nice their luggage.
Bathroom was dirty with heart everywhere. The floor floor tile is cracked and looks dangerous. The only reason we picked the hotel is the pool.

On a hill overlooking Melilla harbour, the fortress and the art nouveau and art deco areas, the Parador is a quaint throwback to the 1930s when it was built. Food is good and service excellent for lunch or dinner with local Meliilan dishes which blend Moroccan and Spanish influences.

A traditional hotel

Perhaps in need of modernisation the Parador offers all you require for a one or two night stay. Meal times are limited with breakfast 8am to 11am not convenient for an early start. The cafeteria is shown to offer food though out the day but that wasn’t my experience. The view is amazing over the town both day and night.

El Parador está en lo alto de una pendiente que da al área céntrica de Melilla, a la cual se llega en 5 minutos. Si bien el hotel tiene sus años, y se nota, está bien mantenido, limpio, ofreciendo una estadía cómoda. No pude disfrutar mucho de sus instalaciones, pero sí pude ver que el personal -que está las 24 hs disponibles en la recepción-, es muy amable, y tenían listo mi check-out y mi taxi a la hora indicada.

Have breakfast somewhere else

The hotel was good, room is of descent size. Swimming pool is a bonus. Very close to town. Going up the hill to go back to the hotel was fun.
Breakfast was very poor and can’t compare to the one at the Tryp Puerto. There was nothing offered except cold cuts, cheese and juice, some bread and pastry. No eggs.

Clean. Safe. Credit card system did nit work for 2 cards three times. A Factura was also not available as receptionist said it would take him too long!!! Check is was grrat. Check out could h ave been a lot better.

good value for money. everybody friendly. food was good. hotel is clean, but a little faded. only complaint was i wanted to sit outside in the sun for a couple of hours. no chairs. i did borrow a chair with the help of reception. however, i was locked out by mistake and had to hammer on the door to get in the building.

Hotel in need of a bit of TLC. Up a steep hill from town centre. No terrace and bar inside in a dark corner. Odd opening times for pool. No water one evening and no hot water the following morning.

Parador Melilla Disappointment

The staff: reception staff, room service staff and restaurant staff were all great.
The hotel overall though felt to be quite old and run-down.
My room in the hotel felt to be quite dilapidated. In particular, my room had a defective electrical socket (broken) next to the bed, it had wardrobe doors which did not close (defective catches) a fridge cover door which did not close (defective catch) Some floor tiles were broken, and generally furniture surfaces were quite scraped and to be honest very disappointing.
I had booked 3 days half-board and despite the good service, I felt that the food quality (for half board) was very disappointing, considering the extra cost as well.
Overall, it might take some effort for me to re-visit this hotel.

Outstanding hotel

My husband and I are seniors and particular. This hotel was especially clean. The breakfasts were amazing. WE are used to coffee in our room as Americans but when we went to breakfast they were gracious and the coffee and food were plentiful and delicious. The view from the dining area included the city and the harbor.

The rooms, bathrooms and breakfast were great. The private balcony and views were better then expected. The staff were friendly and helpful, though a few difficulties with language. Disappointingly, the pool did not open till 21 June and one reason I had booked the hotel was for the pool.

Paradise In Melilla

The Parador of Melilla is a true Paradise. We found our stay there both enjoyable and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. For example, one morning we arrived late for breakfast, and the waiter went out of his way to give us a good meal even though the breakfast buffet had been removed. The panoramic view of the city and the ocean is unequalled. I can imagine a lengthy stay in this home away from home.

Great location, worn on the edges

Fantastic view of the city and close walking distance to the city. Our friend raved about the breakfast, but unfortunately we had to leave before the breakfast service started (at 7:30 AM). Room was reasonably clean, but definitely suffering from poor maintenance. The shower head mount was loose, several of the tiles were broken, and the shower badly leaked on the floor. Nevertheless, it was a comfortable stay and well worth the fantastic location.

I love the breakfast, the room, the terrace, and the lobby! Oh yes and the view. I only wish BBC were available. This is often thought to be the most expensive hotel in town. It's not and the breakfast is so worth the stay.

Dårlig service. De kunne ikke en gang la meg få være en time ekstra på rommet. Frokosten hadde dårlig utvalg, og utsyret var veldig møkkete, ikek rent. Såpeholdere som ikke satt fast på veggene. Nei, skuffende i en elendig tilstand. Og lytt mellom rommene. Til å være så dårlig var prisen alt for høy, minst 50% for mye. Nei, jeg vil ikke anbefalle dette hotellet. Eneste positive måtte være utsikten, men med en d0rlig beliggenhet på en høyde er du enten avhengig av å kjøre bil opp og ned eller gå den veldig bratte bakken.

Excelente trato por parte del personal, limpieza exaustiva en todas las ubicaciones, panorámica excelente de toda la ciudad, silencio y tranquilidad absolutos.
Las instalaciones se han quedado obsoletas, le haría falta una pequeña puesta a punto.
Sin duda repetiría si vuelvo a Melilla.

Anclado en el pasado, con una deficiente gestión. Solo se libra su personal eficiente con ganas de agradar y compensar las carencias de un parador que le falta mucho para llegar a serlo. Paredes desconchadas, aire acondicionado que no funciona en habitaciones en pleno agosto, piscina que se abre a las 12,30 hasta las 14 horas por la mañana, calor insoportable en las estancias del hotel, falta de ventilación, …como digo, personas como Manal (recepción) o cómo Jesica (comedor) junto a las impresionantes vistas de las habitaciones de arriba, hacen que merezca la pena subir la interminable cuesta hasta llegar a este mal llamado parador.

El mejor hotel de Melilla

Me ha encantado hospedarme en el Parador Nacional de Melilla. Las habitaciones son amplísimas, funcionales, con cuartos de baño grandes y muy completos. La limpieza es irreprochable en las habitaciones y en todas las estancias del Parador. La señal wifi funciona estupendamente y pude trabajar muy bien con mi ordenador. Dormí a pierna suelta en una cama muy cómoda. En la terraza de mi habitación disfruté de las magníficas vistas a la ciudad y al monte Gurugú. Las habitaciones son superluminosas, con un amplísimo ventanal que las aisla perfectamente de cualquier posible inclemencia meteorológica. En el Parador se respira mucha paz, no hay ruidos, es un lugar ideal para descansar, trabajar y relajarse. Además, está a dos pasos del centro de Melilla, que dicho sea de paso es un lugar precioso. El personal de este establecimiento es amabilísimo y brinda y trato exquisito al huésped, haciéndole sentir especial. La comida del restaurante es rica y variada, con una buena carta de vinos. El parking es amplio y gratuito. En fin, me quedé dos noches y me hubiera quedado unas cuantas más. Sin duda volveré. ¡¡¡Recomendable al 200%!!!

Das traditionelle und etwas in die Jahre gekommene Hotel gehört zur Gruppe der PARADORES. Die 3 Sterne sind gerechtfertigt, alle sind sehr bemüht. Das Zimmer war sehr gut, Frühstück ebenfalls mit sehr aktivem Personal und vlt. etwas übertriebenen Anti-Corona-Aktivitäten: die Leute an der Rezeption + im Speisesaal haben sich ständig (!!) die Hände gewaschen, wir hatten den Eindruck: vor allem für die Gäste (Show). Ganz Wichtig: DER POOL IST 8 Monate im Jahr GESCHLOSSEEN! Nur während der "Sommersaison" vom 21.Mai bis zum 21. September ist er zur Benutzung freigegeben - Wetter, Sonnenschein, Temperaturen bzw. Corona spielen keine Rolle - also HOTELS.COM: dies bitte ausdrücklich in den Hotel-Angaben vermerken!!!
Und: Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel und man hat einen tollen Überblick über den Hafen usw, aber: man läuft die letzten 500m streng bergauf!!! Trost: Taxi in Melilla sind billig, es gibt 4 Taxi-Stationen (sollte man kennen, sonst ist man ganz schnell irgendwo draussen und findet kein Taxi). Busse fahren selten.

Estupendo Parador,con magníficas vistas de la ciudad. Está bien ubicado, pero hay que tener en cuenta que se sitúa en la zona alta de la ciudad con una considerable cuesta para acceder a él.

Las vistas a Melilla y al Puerto son fenomenales.
Al hotel le falta una buena puesta al día de pintura.
El desayuno estupendo. Dada la ubicación del hotel, deberían plantearse un servicio de bonos para accedera al hotel en taxi, al menos desde el principio de la cuesta, donde hay una parada de Taxi.

No me gustó el estado de las instalaciones, necesitan una importante actualización. El baño de la habitación está en un estado lamentable. La ducha está instalada de forma que queda en la parte en la que no hay mampara, por lo que hay que hacer malabares para no salpicar fuera. La toalla estaba raída. La decoración es muy fea y está todo desgastado.
El trato del personal correcto pero sin más.
Todo en general muy por debajo de la calidad esperada para un Parador.

Ok hotel, som dog virkelig trænger til en renovering. Swimmingpool er fin nok og der er en lækker morgenmad, men værelserne ligner noget fra 80'erne. Personalet er helt i top og altid villige til at hjælpe.

No hay grandes hoteles en Melilla, prueben aqui

Hay que llegar en taxi , 8 € desde el aeropuerto, ya que hay una cuesta es lo peor cuando regresas de noche, no es adecuado para personas que no anden pero los taxis son económicos. Tiene muy buenas vistas, hay un parque y el fuerte Victoria al lado. Recepción amable y te dan cupón para copa bienvenida. Es un parador tres estrellas que necesita una reforma en mobiliario, puertas del servicio, pero tanto los lavabos, ducha, como sanitarios están bien y las camas son cómodas, La habitación tenía una estupenda terraza. Tuvimos la mala suerte de huéspedes ruidosos a horas inadecuadas.

L’hotel est bien situé mais le service n’est pas top ,les chambres sont vielles ,carrelage pas stable ,les chambres pas trés propres ,aucune bouteille d’eau dans la chambre donc obligation de payer pour le mini bar ,la litterie n’est pas confortable ,le petit dejeuner tres moyen .
Bref je ne le recommande pas du tout vu son prix
