Hotel Costa Verde is an exceptional place! We absolutely loved our stay here and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The housekeeping team deserves special recognition—the property was spotless, impeccably maintained, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail.
The nearly 360-degree views are absolutely breathtaking, and the three pools are beautiful, refreshing, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is also ideal, with easy access to local restaurants and attractions.
One of our favorite parts was the surrounding lush vegetation, which was full of monkeys and other fascinating wildlife. It truly felt like being immersed in nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Costa Verde. It is a great family hotel and offers lots of nice features, very helpful staff in fact we reached the hotel at noon when the check-in was 3pm and still they accomodated us and gave us a room. We had an ocean facing room. The room was spacious with two beds, air conditioning, room was clean, comfortable, with a closet and a safe. My girls wanted to go parasailing the same day and we called the front desk and they immediately arranged it for us. Did not have to do any booking on a viator or getmyguide. They dropped us to the site and we could do parasailing. We did a guided tour to Manuel Antonio National Park, which was extremely worthwhile. We saw a lot of wild life and it was totally worth it. The staff helped us with our luggage both on arrival and when we departed, which we really appreciated. The hotel made us feel appreciated. My family loved the hotel and the room and the views. We would love to come back again. Thank you Costa Verde team!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was air conditioned, with a small kitchen that included a refrigerator, plates, utencils, microwave oven, ect. We also had a nice balcony with a table and chairs and a view of the ocean. We had breakfast every day at the restaurant on the premises and also had lunch there once. Staff is very attentive and went out of their way to help set up tours. The grounds are very well kept. Monkeys are everywhere as well as other interesting wildlife. Location is close to the beach and Manuel Antonio park.

Hotel Costa Verde is a great family hotel and offers lots of nice features: 3 pools (including an adult-only pool), very helpful staff, a beautiful setting near the top of the road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. It does not offer breakfast, but there is a breakfast restaurant on the property (we didn't go). The room was spacious with two beds, air conditioning that you turn on with your key (and turn off when you leave), clean, comfortable, with a closet and a safe (just in case---we didn't use it). The room was cleaned and made up for us every day. The property it large and hilly--almost labyrinthian--so the hotel provides a jeep ride to your room or to one of the nearby restaurants (such as El Avion). If you don't have a car, the hotel can feel a bit remote---but you can take a bus to Quepos (we did) very cheaply, or call for a taxi. The hotel booked a catamaran tour for us (it was fun), a marvelous mangrove tour, and a guided tour to Manuel Antonio National Park, which was extremely worthwhile. The staff helped us with our luggage both on arrival and when we departed, which I really appreciated. The hotel made us feel appreciated, and if we had had a car to give us more freedom, it would have been ideal.

The property was gorgeous. My only complaint is the location. From our room nothing was actually walkable. The restaurants aren’t on the same property as the rooms. There is not direct access to a beach. This was only a problem for us because we have very young children.

Hotel Costa Verde did not meet our expectations; it was the most expensive place we stayed in Costa Rica and we liked it the least. The biggest problem is the hotel room walls are paper thin so we could clearly hear normal volume conversations taking place in the next room as well as lots of noise from the baby and toddler, waking us up multiple times during the night and noisy throughout the day as well. You can hear doors opening and closing very loudly in the next room, too. The hotel does not provide basic coffee condiments in the room or in the lobby; I requested a simple dry packet of creamer, or a bit of milk, or anything for my coffee (coffee that I brought myself), and was told it's not provided. This is not what I expect from a 4-star hotel. The swimming pool (we went to Pool A twice) has a nice ocean view but otherwise it is a basic small square pool with discolored, old chairs and no ambiance at all. No music, no service, no umbrellas, no towels. Finally, be aware that the overall property consists of many buildings that are spread out from each other; our building in \"Area D\" had zero amenities; we had to either drive our rental car or request a shuttle ride if we wanted to go to the pool, go to the restaurants on the property, or get to Area E from which you can walk a steep path to the beach. The positive things about the hotel were a refrigerator and 2-burner cooktop in the room, hot water in the shower, and a nice balcony. I wouldn't stay here again.

Incredible. The customer service is something I’ve never experienced. The grounds are immaculate. Monkeys are many. We even saw a sloth pretty regularly. The view was incredible! Again, I can’t get over the customer service. Talk about prompt, kind, and gracious. I would definitely stay here again. I wouldn’t even bother with another hotel. I could not have asked for more.

Truly exceeded expectations. Unique, clean, spacious room with scenic balcony overlooking ocean and garden. Private, yet easy access to car parking, pool and restaurants. Having rented a car, getting around was convenient, 5 minute drive to National park. No troubles with traffic or parking. Beach was spectacular, although a bit of a trek to walk back up to the hotel after a day in the sun. Food and service was excellent, and having a fridge, freezer, microwave and stove top with pots and utensils was helpful for packing lunches or eating in watching sunset from balcony. Overall, wonderful experience.

We had an excellent stay at Costa Verde. Our room was absolutely stunning with a very large balcony and large windows overlooking the ocean. We could hear the ocean waves and every morning we got up at 5:30 in the morning to listen to the birds and enjoy the sunrise. The family suite that we had was clean and beds were very comfortable, and the costa verde grounds had several very nice restaurants with free shuttle transportation offered to the restaurants because of the fact that the property was large with a winding road that made walking even short distances sometimes challenging. There was a very nice pool. The staff in the office were absolutely amazing and Alejandro in particular was extremely helpful in arranging for some daily tours and shuttle transportation for the end of our trip. This location itself is next to the park and there are monkeys and sloths living on the property that you can see from the restaurants or when walking around on the grounds. It is also very close to the beach, although the winding road and the steep hill makes it hard to walk to the beach. There is a convenient bus that you can ride that costs only one dollar and runs every 25 minutes. Would definitely stay at this property again and would highly recommend for others.

I appreciate how accommodating everyone is here from the front desk, the shuttle drivers, the housekeepers, restaurant staff, etc. We had a Jungle view split with a great look at the ocean and never missed a sunset. Wonderful experience, great staff. We planned some on our own and some they helped out with. The property is pretty vast, including multiple restaurants, pools, and hotel areas, all in the hills above the beach. We saw monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, parrots, etc on property which the kids loved. It was recommended to us and we’d absolutely pass on the recommendation.

All the Capuchin monkeys running around the resort was super fun! Only misses we had were that we wish the pool bar stayed open later and that there was a hot tub/thermal pool. There were shuttles to the different restaurants but a shuttle to the beach would have been nice since it’s a 10 min walk all uphill on the way back.

What a wonderful place! We booked the cheapest room and stayed only 1 night but we absolutely loved it and wished we had stayed longer. Monkeys came to our balcony and we saw more monkeys and an iguana on the way to the beach (a 5 minute walk downhill). Great restaurant options in the area within walking distance. We took a taxi to the National Park for less than 4$USD and left our luggage and vehicle with reception after checkout. We never made it to the pools. Would stay again and would recommend!

We did choose Costa Verde hotel as it was our last 3 days in CR. The hotel is rated as 4* however, for europeans standards, the hotel should be downgraded to 3*. The rooms need to be refurbishment as they are old and dated.
The staff members in the reception were really unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. We did the laundry in the hotel and the total cost came to $83. As I asked to pay in colones, the staff added the wrong amount (it was a genuine mistake that could happen to all of us) however, one of the receptionist found it very funny and started laughing. No apologise as customers.
The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues as the rooms are located far and you need to walk a ramp. Yes, it is a car service but again, the car is like a Land-rover (quite high to jump in) and the driver was not very helpful or friendly.
The hotel has 3 pools but they don’t provide the customers with towels for the pool. You have to use the ones in the room and they will change it later.
We had breakfast one day and was okish but £35 for 2 coffees and 2 eggs is far to expensive for the quality of the breakfast.

The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues as the rooms are located far and you need to walk a ramp. Yes, it is a car service but again, the car is like a Land-rover (quite high to jump in) and the driver was not very helpful or friendly.
The hotel has 3 pools but they don’t provide the customers with towels for the pool. You have to use the ones in the room and they will change it later.
We had breakfast one day and was okish but £35 for 2 coffees and 2 eggs is far to expensive for the quality of the breakfast.

This was an amazing place to vacation. Easy access to Manuel Antonio and the beach. Even if you don't want to visit either of those, the property itself is like a zoom. We saw 3 different species of monkeys up close with some visiting us right on our balcony. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and there were plenty of dining options right on the property.

The kitchen faucet is broken, almost cause flooding. We reported to the front desk, when we came back afternoon, it has been replaced with the new one. The water temperature for the bath tub is unpredictable. The first day is fine, the next day there is no hot water for the bath tub.

This place was absolutely amazing if you like to see the wildlife. The staff was great and the food choices were great. We got a suite with a balcony and the monkeys would pass by. The place was spotless and the amenities were great. Internet connection was excellent. The property has 2 trails that are full of wildlife. The thing I appreciated the most is that the pool area was silent and respectful of the wildlife at the property.
