Hotel Boutique Elvira Plaza is a lovely place to stay. Check in was easy and I was able to store my bags until my room was available (I arrived earlier than check-in) which meant I could start exploring Seville straight away. The staff were really helpful and approachable. My room was large, clean and bright and the roof terrace is an added bonus. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian area, in a beautiful plaza, with restaurants and many popular tourist spots within walking distance. I visited in February and had a wonderful time.

This hotel is in a great local just a stone’s throw from Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar. The room was clean and presentable. The patio outside my room could have used some cleaning though. The leaves on the plants were brown and it didn’t look like it had been swept for some time- I couldn’t spend any time on the patio sipping my morning coffee. The safe did not work in my room and although I had asked someone to look into it they forgot. The staff was friendly and helpful both at Boutique Elvira and their sister hotel HALO where you go to eat. Boutique Elvira isn’t open 24hrs but HALO is so if you run into any problems after 10pm go to HALO if you need assistance. The breakfast was amazing. So many different things to choose from. I enjoyed freshly squeezed orange juice and there was Brut there to make a mimosa if you wanted to. If you want to be near the main sites of historic Seville this hotel is a good option. Be mindful that Uber can only drop you off in one of the plazas nearby though as cars cannot drive down some of the narrower corridors. No problem as it is a 4-5 min walk from those plazas to the hotel. There are many shops around for souvenirs and there are lots of places to eat within 5-15 mins walking depending on what you want to eat. Be prepared to wait for a table on Friday and Saturday nights because this city never sleeps. All friendly people though. You will enjoy your time in Seville for sure.

Hotel was in the perfect location albeit a bit loud as there were walking tours during the day. I would recommend staying here as the location was perfect and the rooms were clean and comfortable with working air con. I checked in after midnight and had to check in at the sister hotel around the corner. Staff were super helpful and responsive on WhatsApp.

We really loved our stay here! It was right in the heart of Old Town Seville, and everything was within walking distance.
Beatriz was so accommodating, friendly, and patient with all our questions and concerns.

I loved my stay at this property! The location was perfect, right near the palace. Although, you had to walk about 5 mins in order to call a taxi, which is normal in this walkable city. Everyone working at the hotel was very attentive and kind! Breakfast was decent, around the corner of the hotel. AC also worked well, which is rare in Europe and great in the 100 degree weather we were in. A couple of little things, is that the patio was not that well kept and a little dusty and hotel lobby fragrance was too strong. Also, shower pressure was very weak in our room, even when they checked and said it was ok (maybe specific room bc I see other reviews saying the same thing?) If you want a perfect location and nice view from the terrace, stay here!

The staff was very engaged and knowledgeable providing lively conversation and content. The location is quiet but within five minutes of the Palace and Cathedral. Our room was comfortable and included a large private deck overlooking the square and city view. The only lacking pieces was the light coffee service and perhaps the room could be refreshed a bit. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

The Elvira is a boutique hotel in a GREAT location and the staff is very friendly. One of the reasons it’s not a five star is due to the check in process. When we arrived, the young man at the desk said it was his first day and he needed to call his manager from the sister hotel. The mgr came and spoke to him and left. We were not offered a complementary drink on arrival although it was displayed on the counter. The young man had to keep calling the manager to come back and our check in took well over an hour with us filling out a tremendous amount of paperwork. This young man was very kind and we were patient but we felt the manager should have checked us in with his new employee and not just leave him on his own with his first client.

My new husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Hotel Boutique Elvira Plaza and we couldn’t have been happier with the service, friendly staff and beautiful rooms! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were super helpful with recommendations on restaurants as well as calling our taxi to the airport. The room was beautiful and very clean and quiet. Already planning our next trip back!

We enjoyed this room. It was very conveniently located to the Alcázar and the cathedral as well as restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and staff was very helpful! It is located in a courtyard so you cannot be dropped off at your door (you have to walk a little bit to an accessible street…not a problem for us but maybe for some). The air conditioning unit in our room emitted a very musty smell that we could not tolerate and do had to leave it off. Not a big deal since we visited in November but it would be a big deal in a different month!

Brilliant location in the Santa Cruz quarter and lots of bars and restaurants nearby - as well as the major tourist attractions. Rating is slightly lower as there was no hot water for the first night of our stay - which wasn't their fault - but also a slight smell in the room we had. We think it may have come from the bathroom, but unsure. The room itself was lovely and modern and comfy and the staff at reception were excellent. We spoke with a few different people who were so helpful and friendly.

Me and my partner discovered 30 bugs in the room on the first night and immediately went to the front desk to ask for another room/refund. We were told they were sold out for the night and to come back in the morning. Since it was 1 AM, we had no choice but to stay in the room. The next morning we were told there were still no rooms. We had asked the receptionist to tell the manager to contact us and she had told us we would receive a call. We did not receive any calls and had to actually follow up each day of our stay. It was very inconvenient and communication was lacking. Finally, the manager reached out and gave us the bad excuse that they would not be able to provide any sort of solution/compensation because they had apparently come to the room to check out the bug situation during the day but the do not disturb sign was on. They did not even try contacting us when they so called had come to the room. Additionally, the manger said that the \"biodiversity of the environment\" can cause bugs in the room. The bugs decreased in amount through the stay but the lack of communication and lack of solution from management is unacceptable. I would not recommend this property.

The service was appallingly bad. We asked for early check in when we booked the room over 2 months before our stay and again the week before to which the hotel responded advising that they would try to accommodate this. Upon arrival the staff had no clue about early check in and we were told it would be 3pm as standard. We left our luggage and returned just after 3pm to be told the room wasnt ready and we had to wait. We left for a drink and when we returned it STILL wasnt ready. At this point we had seen 2 other couples check in, offered a glass of fizz and given their room key, we were not offered anything.
Our room was dirty when we got the key with the floor evidently not clean.
During our stay we did not get clean towels, our room was not cleaned one day despite leaving the please clean our room sign on the door, we did not get replacement coffee and milk, no loo roll.
When asking the staff for these things they had no interest in helping.
Shame as its a lovey little hotel in a very cute square but the staff seriously let this place down.

Good location, and friendly staff. You have to check in at a nearby sister hotel which is a bit confusing but not the end of the world.
The room itself was disappointing. The bed felt like it was about to break, wobbly legs which squeaked and wobbled every time we moved overnight.
The patio door wasn’t lockable so we didn’t feel very safe. Also there wasn’t a soap dish so the cleaning staff obviously felt compelled to change the bar of soap daily- which seemed like a bit of a waste.

The hotel had a number of maintenance issues and the hotel was overpriced. Breakfast at their partner hotel around the corner is not good value for money. Also we were invited for our free drink to their terrace to see the sunset. We got a third of a champagne glass of prosecco - mean!

Great location but dirty floors!

The location was great! The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, however the room was dirty. The floor was especially dirty. We asked to have it cleaned and when we returned found that it still was not done, so we asked again. We placed our towels on the floor as directed in the card in the bathroom. When we returned, the dirty towels had been hung up on the hooks, rather than being replaced. We called the desk. They brought us clean towels. The next morning we complained about the floor again. It was finally done after 3 requests. The bed was clean and comfortable but I hate a dirty floor and baseboards. It’s a simple thing. The room was small so it doesn’t take a lot of time. We also paid extra for a “patio” which we laughed at. It was about 2 or 3feet square, completely blocked by other windows and with direct view to another room. I wouldn’t pay for that again. And the blind for the door to the patio did not work. This could have been a sweet little room, but other people’s dirt is not what we paid for. The area is very cute, safe and convenient to all of the sights, so the location is great. Manager helped us get a taxi when it was time to leave.

I booked this hotel because I saw it by searching hotels in Expedia with the parking option. I had my travel in Spain and Portugal by driving. But, the hotel is in a car restricted area and impossible for parking. I spent 5 hours to try getting in the area and parking. Finally I had to park my car remotely then took a Uber followed by walking. Next day, it also made big inconvenience. I request Expedia to remove the parking option from this hotel. All the hotels with \"parking\" must be reachable by car.

Excellent location in a pretty square . Room had a private terrace overlooking the square , it was lovely but all the plants were dead. A little effort would make a better impression. Sofa was a bit tired. As the restaurant is closed breakfast was delivered in a box, it wasn't bad but pretty much the same every day and only ham and cheese once. Air conditioning was great! Roof terrace has good views, worth the walk up the stairs.
Overall I am being picky as it is advertised as a boutique hotel and it is not far off a 10/10

Great location and staff are the only positive. The room was very dated, shower was broken, facilities non existent. Reception is centralised at another nearby hotel. We were told on checkin that we could use their facilities but when we tried we were told we could not. Staff however were helpful.

The location is great, the rooms had 2 small balconies and was very private. The amenities are the worst I have ever encountered in a hotel, highly recommended to bring your own shampoo and gel. The mattress seemed old and used, the safe didn't work... overall the rooms lacks attention to details and seemed dated.

Hotel is nice location and layout is nice especially room with terrace but its very poorly maintained. room was not clean, washroom dirty, bed uncomfortable, air condition was not working properly.
management's mindset is not so guest friendly, evident from the fact that they want to even charge for coffee capsules.
However, hotel has good potential. what they should do is to be more guest friendly, spend little money in refurbishment.

Located just near all “you must see” at Sevilla (perfect location), the hotel is small but cozy and clean and provides great hospitality. The hotel staffs were very friendly, helpful and will guide you throughout your stay.The hotel is located in a small and beautiful square, surrounded with excellent restaurants. The best paella ever! A true sample of excellent hospitality.

Cracking location in the heart of Seville

Staff brilliant, breakfast great, location great but a hassle to get there as no cars allowed anywhere near the hotel. Was however worth the hassle of dragging our cases for 10 mins. Car parking nearby is €21 a day and only suitable for small cars. Minutes from some amazing shopping in Seville. All in all very happy with our stay and would use it again but with hand luggage only next time.

Although the hotel has a great location, the amenities on offer really did not validate it compared to what an Airbnb could have offered.
The bed was super comfortable, and the staff, once you highlighted a problem were quick to response and help out.

However what you would should get in a hotel was missing, for example a quick and easy wifi connection, TV working when pulled on (it must have got disconnected whilst cleaning so can't fault them there), tea making facilities (as a Brit this is a must!, although they had a Nespresso machine - which all the Airbnbs have now), writing pad and pen (I requested and got this) and after sun or any cream in the bathroom.

Overall if you are looking for a great located hotel then this is a good fit.

The location of this property is the only reason I would recommend this hotel to a friend. It is in the heart of Seville right next to the cathedral and the Alcazar. The bathroom area was a bit dirty as some of the shower grout looked moldy and needed some tlc. We were also given a handicap room #1 connected to the lobby which was so noisy that it made it almost impossible to sleep. Thankfully I had a noise machine that helped to drown out some of the noise. I asked immediately upon check in to change rooms but was told no.

This hotel is in a great location and we were very excited to stay here as it has great ratings. However there were a few things which were disappointing. Although it's advertised with air-conditioning, the room temperature is controlled by the front desk and we couldn't get the room to a comfortable temperature. We spoke to the front desk yet when they had said it would be better, it definitely wasn't. The other thing that disappointed me was the bed in our room. It was extremely squeaky (even if you just sat on it) so we felt like there wasn't any privacy. Especially considering the room was so close to reception. Both of these factors unfortunately led to a disappointing stay. If we could have got the room down to 22 degrees, it would have been a lot more comfortable.
Aside from this, the staff were friendly and the hotel is in a prime position.

Lovely Boutique Hotel

Lovely hotel, excellent location. Room was small but they were beautifully decorated and the bed and pillows were lovely. Bathroom had a fab shower, the roof terrace was an added bonus as we got a bottle of wine from the supermarket and sat up there one afternoon when the sun was out. No complaints at all I would recommend this hotel, if we go to Seville again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I would say it was more for couples definitely not for families but that's just my opinion!

The hotel location is very good - it is a bit hard to find (the hotel did send us some instructions but we had already left home) but is just round the corner from the cathedral on a very quiet and pretty square.
We booked an economy room - perhaps the only economy room, room 106 - they had done what they could with it but basically it was internal facing and we could hear an airconditioning unit and, on the first night, some plumbing noises. We were disappointed with the room as the previous night (in Jerez) we had stayed in a better room for half the price! Perhaps it is not worth booking an economy room here.

Our first experience at arriving at the hotel was very warm and friendly. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant and made it clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. Our room was located on the second floor which was reached by a small lift or stairs. The room was very clean/ tidy with bath robes awaiting. The balcony had two seats and a table for us to sit outside and enjoy the views of the delightful orange tree square and view to the Cathedral. There were internal shutters which helped to stop neighbours looking into the room and also acted as effective light blackout enabling us to sleep in later. The room had a coffee machine which you could buy extra coffee sachets if required but unfortunately no mini bar for keeping drinks cool.
Above our room there was a roof terrace that could be used at any time by guests which would prove an excellent facility for those staying in rooms without a balcony.
Our only displeasure was with the bar/restaurant. On arrival you are advised that you can have free tea/coffee outside the front of the hotel between 5-7 pm. The main issue with the hotel is the waiting staff have demarcation lines between themselves and customers are not made to feel part of the hotel but an inconvenience. Hotel customers should be able to sit wherever they wish and not be told that they are on the wrong table or at the wrong end of the terrace as the menu/facilities are run by the whole hotel and customers do not need to be involved in domestic issue

A warm welcome from the Staff our room was not ready we came back for 2pm. A bijou room we knew that due to our late booking. Shame we got charged for extra milk! I would recommend this hotel and location to family and friends.

Best hotel in Seville

We stayed for 2 nights in a junior suite. Well worth the little extra as we had a small terrace of our own which we sat on in the evenings. The hotel is in an excellent spot, really close to everything Seville had to offer. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless.

Two nights in beautiful quiet plaza

An excellent stay in a perfect little plaza completely secluded and traffic free. The location is perfect , literally just outside the walls of the Alcazar. Staff were helpful and friendly and spoke English. All other sites are within walking distance.

Smallest room we have ever stayed in. The photo on the site actually represents their suite, not the room we were given. Friendly staff and great location if you don't mind walking through a maze each time you are trying to find your hotel.....this may not be a bad thing for some people because it gives you a taste of old Spain.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful city

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. Stopped for one night in May in a Junior Suite. Great value for a bright, spacious room with two terraces having views over the delightful Plaza de Dona Elvira. Although for the price I would have thought that breakfast could be included. Staff very friendly and helpful and the free drink and 10% discount voucher at the linked restaurant were very useful.
Would definitely visit Seville and the Boutique Hotel Dona Elvira again.

A great choice!

We loved our room, the junior suite. It was a good size, well-appointed, and had a large terrace overlooking the beautiful orange groves of the Plaza and charming buildings. We could also see the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. The breakfast was delicious, the staff friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Perfect place to relax

I stayed in the Hotel Boutique Elvira Plaza for two nights after flying in from the states, before moving in with a host family in the city. This was the perfect hotel to relax, rest and explore the city for a couple of days.
The rooms were clean, and fresh. From my second floor room i had two french windows that opened out onto the beautiful small plaza full of orange trees, benches, small restaurants and a water fall.
Even in January, it was the perfect temperature to open the french doors and hear the relaxing fountain in the plaza. Plaza Dona Elvira is pedestrians only, so my taxi dropped me off maybe a two minute walk away. But this made the plaza beautifully peaceful and relaxing. The streets surrounding the hotel are beautiful! You can get lost in them for hours walking past cafes, tapas bars, shops and other plazas and parks.

Just stayed here last week. Nice place, nice staff, not that easy to find. The charming square is a bit hidden away and there are no clear directional signs to it. Great rooftop view of the cathedral and easy walking distance to it and the Real Alcazar, each of which were very impressive. Kind of noisy from some construction outside, but that isn't the fault of the hotel. Very odd that they supply a coffee machine in room, but no coffee. If you want any, you have to ask for the pods, wait for them, then pay for it! Only true complaint is that hotel recommended the La Cueva restaurant on the square and said because they were in some kind of local business association, with presentation of a card, we'd receive a 10% discount. The restaurant and extremely surly waiter were terrible. He acted as if we were a huge inconvenience, tossed our plates down full of tepid, flavorless, overcooked food. The only good thing was the bottle of cava which he plunked on the table...no wine bucket, nothing. He never checked on us, and when we were presented with the bill and asked about the discount, he said he'd already deducted it. It was very clear that he felt we were annoying tourists. Just a note to the hotel, don't recommend this place to anyone else.

nice hotel great location

This hotel is in a delightful courtyard and has old-world charm. Very close to all the sights. The rooftop terrace to look out at the cathedral and tower and the courtyard full of orange trees and tiled benches were a highlight. The staff is very helpful and the motel is clean.
The only negative of our stay was that we had a leaky water pipe under our sink which took 3 days to get fixed--even though we pointed it out. Also it would be nice to have a complimentary hot water pot in the room and some chairs.
Regardless, we would definately stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to visit Seville.

Mixed feelings

Beautiful, clean hotel in a great location within walking distance to most of the attractions in Sevilla. But there is zero soundproofing, and it's very hard to sleep before 1am.

Nice Hotel in a beautiful square

Lovely little hotel tucked away in an orange tree filled square what it lacks in size it makes up for in comfort and friendly staff,close to all the sights of Seville a perfect place to enjoy this beautiful city.

Everything was very nice about hotel. Good location. Room was rather small but the hotel had great character. Loved roof top terrace and the little plaza it was located on. Our biggest complaint was the noise outside into late in the evening. Also the beds weren't very comfy.

Noisy room

We had a room on the first floor at the front overlooking square. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper ask for a junior suite upstairs with patio. We had to leave Seville 2 days early due to lack of sleep. Room so tiny we couldn't open our cases nor was there anywhere to hang clothes. Receptionist was lovely when we explained our situation and offered to help us find alternative accommodation.

Worth the visit

The nestled in the maze-like streets of Santa Cruz Saville. Is as quaint as it's location. It's surrounded by tons of great restaurants, beautiful architecture an history. We highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to say here again.

Bijou hotel, perfect location

Arrived at the hotel much too early to check in but made to feel very welcome, luggage stored for us and the receptionist gave us lots of helpful information about Seville and the various areas and sights to explore. We were allocated room 001 which as other Tripadvisor reviewers have indicated is probably not the best room in the hotel as it's both immediately off the main reception and the window is directly facing onto the square - literally there is a restaurant table which may well be occupied immediately underneath it. We were ok with both of these things although it did make for the room being slightly noisy at times - more from the reception as people came and went than the square itself. The room was a good size, comfortable and the shower great - the only thing lacking was a full length mirror or any mirror outside the bathroom so, for example, you couldn't do hair/make up whilst your partner was showering. If you prefer to go to bed early the location of the hotel is probably not great for you because of it being part of the hustle and bustle of the square. We liked that aspect.

Pretty hotel in beautiful surroundings.

This is a very pretty hotel in one of the most beautiful squares in Santa Cruz. I had a junior suite, which was simply, but comfortably furnished, and had the great advantage of a large balcony. The hotel is only a short walk from the cathedral and from the major sights of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts, which are provided at a nearby cafe are adequate, but not quite up to the standards of the hotel.

Modern comfort, old world charm.

Very nice utilization of space. Beautiful decor, and very clean. Couldn't have asked for more.
I loved the location, centered in the heart of Seville's oldest, and most historical part of the city.
