The property was beautiful and from our little porch we had a view of the sea from the cliffs at Kafros Beach.
The suite was stunning, wonderfully designed, sunny and impeccably clean. The bed was comfy and there was lovely seating inside and on the porch and little kitchen space with a small fridge, coffee and a few dishes for small snacks.
The included breakfast is a simple but yummy spread with yogurt, cookies, coffee, cereals, a few different pastries, fresh OJ and a couple heartier options like mini egg and ham omlette type things. All was delicious and replenished throughout the morning.
The staff was all polite, very responsive, and was always kind and happy to help with any recommendations or questions we had (and to let us quite late night when we accidentally locked ourselves on the porch!)

The location was perfect - only about a 7 minute drive to Pollonia and 15-20 to pretty much anywhere else we wanted to head out to when exploring.
Having a car was great because we found the cabs were a bit expensive since they come from the centre of the island generally but we did take them a couple nights. The company we used came recommended by the hotel and were excellent, timely and wonderful to deal with which I mention because I’m confident the hotel will to put you in touch with the right people to aid your trip whatever you need.
We loved our time here and will definitely come again! Highly recommend.

An excellent location a short distance away from Pollonia, situated a few minutes walk between two beaches. It was quiet & well maintained, with lovely & comfortable rooms with nice bedding, and the breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff was helpful and communicative. Highly recommended!

After staying at this property, not only was I dissatisfied, I was disappointed in the management. Granted you need a vehicle to get around (no shuttle service), the management seems nice but ended up being rude, political, misogynistic and condescending. With the rate including, Breakfast - we were disappointed in the fact that the food was barely reheated (from the day before) and served again the next day! Including the eggs! Additionally, the staff felt the need to remove the key card from the Air Conditioning Unit - which was then followed by a lecture of his electric bill! Although reception states \"24/7\" - we were informed that if we needed anything to online chat him because he was going off the property. Besides the view being beautiful, you can certainly get your moneys worth and peace of mind elsewhere.

It’s far from town but the beach nearby is nice. If you don’t have a car you’ll taxi everywhere for €15-20. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

This was a great stay! The service was impeccable, and the owner/operator made every effort to make the stay amazing. He put forth a huge amount of effort and dedication and his passion shows through with every detail. The environment is soothing and restorative, the food was wonderfully done. Incredible Holiday at Avra Pahainas
Incredible stay! This hotel and owner are wonderful and truly made our stay in Milos fantastic. The room and bed were comfortable, the owner gave us multiple recommendations of what do/eat each day based upon the wind direction (if its windy on one side of the island, its calm on the other), and the views are breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and so was the dinner we had at the restaurant. My only complaint is that I could not stay longer. We will be coming to Milos again and staying at Avra Pahainas. Thank you Avra Pahainas for a truly relaxing and memorable holiday!

You need to rent a car to stay in this hotel. The location is beautiful but it's far from everything and there is not even a store close. The room was fine with a nice view. The breakfast was good.The manager is rude and has zero service mindset. Ioana was very helpful with good attitude.

The pictures of the room did not represent reality, the room was old, dark, and smelly. The location of the property was great and the view from the balconies was fantastic. The breakfast was also great. But we will not book again it was not worth the money.

Concernant l'hôtel, nous avons été très gentiment accueillis par une jeune femme parlant parfaitement français (la propriétaire ?). Nous avions réservé un studio (selon la description de leur site web nous sommes tombés sur le \"spacious studio\") dans lequel nous avons trouvé une kitchenette vraiment pratique et bien équipée, des chaussons et échantillons très biens. L'hôtel est bien entretenu et le ménage a été fait parfaitement tous les jours. A noter que l'hôtel est exposé aux vents (le Meltem a beaucoup soufflé pendant notre séjour) et cela a hurlé fort la nuit. Ces jours là nous n'avons pas pu profiter de nos deux superbes balcons avec vue (il fallait s'enfermer et mettre une serviette sous la porte pour calmer les hurlements). La dernière nuit nous avons même eu une forte pluie qui a partiellement inondé notre chambre (se lever le matin et mettre les pieds dans des flaques d'eau). Enfin, nous avons été un peu décus de notre studio par rapport à ce que nous nous imaginions en voyant les photos sur le site. D'autant plus que notre salle de bain était tout sauf \"high quality bathroom\" avec du vieux carrelage marron et un join entièrement moisi autour de la douche. C'est un peu de notre faute aussi, nous aurions dû demander directement une autre chambre, mais nous n'avons pas eu le réflexe.

I came from another Greek island and I told the hotel that I would be checking-in on the date I was supposed to. However, the hotel didn't have any solution for late check-in. For example, from my experience in other cities, they would communicate with guests (who already confirmed that they were coming for sure) of the latest time. Another example, a hotel puts a secret key box while no receptionist is gone and communicate to guest that where the key is so he/she could check in by herself. With Avra Pahainas Milos, there's nothing at all. There's policy of check-in hour, but no explanation if people show up afterward it's a \"no-show\". I reached out and their explanation is that they had to rest, they had babies, and it passed the time. What kind of hospitality of a hotelier like that! Kleines ruhiges Hotel mit tollem Meerausblick
Das Hotel befindet sich in einer Feriensiedlung zwischen Plaka und Pollonia. Zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit für die nötigsten Dinge sind es ca. 4 Kilometer.
Leider stellten wir fest, dass die neben dem Hotel befindliche Taverne geschlossen ist und in der Feriensiedlung auch sonst keinerlei Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden waren. Auch die gemäß der Hotelbeschreibung angebotene Frühstücksmöglichkeit war aus technischen Gründen nicht vorhanden. Wir waren also darauf angewiesen, mit dem zum Glück angemie-teten Auto nach Pollonia, Adamas oder nach Plaka zum Einkaufen zu fahren.
Das angeblich komplett ausgebuchte Hotel war bis auf uns nicht belegt. Dies änderte sich auch während unseres Aufenthalts mit Ausnahme auf einen einzigen Tag nicht. Wir waren also völlig allein in diesem Hotel, obwohl gemäß expedia.de nur noch geringe Kapazität in-folge hoher Nachfrage vorhanden sein würde. Weil wir vor Ort eine ganz andere Situation vorfanden, bewerten wir diese Angaben im Onlineportal als gezielte Falschmeldung, um kurzfristige Buchungserfolge zu erzielen. Übrigens ergaben unsere Nachforschungen bei anderen Hotels der Insel ähnliche Erfolge.
Ebenso konnten wir keinerlei Möglichkeiten von Fitnesseinrichtungen im Hotel feststellen bzw. wurden uns diese zur Nutzung nicht angeboten. Den in der Beschreibung ausgewiesenen Garten suchten wir vergebens.
Der Hotelinhaber äußerte uns gegenüber deutlich seine Abneigung gegenüber Imigranten.
Leider stellten wir fest, dass die neben dem Hotel befindliche Taverne geschlossen ist und in der Feriensiedlung auch sonst keinerlei Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden waren. Auch die gemäß der Hotelbeschreibung angebotene Frühstücksmöglichkeit war aus technischen Gründen nicht vorhanden. Wir waren also darauf angewiesen, mit dem zum Glück angemie-teten Auto nach Pollonia, Adamas oder nach Plaka zum Einkaufen zu fahren.
Das angeblich komplett ausgebuchte Hotel war bis auf uns nicht belegt. Dies änderte sich auch während unseres Aufenthalts mit Ausnahme auf einen einzigen Tag nicht. Wir waren also völlig allein in diesem Hotel, obwohl gemäß expedia.de nur noch geringe Kapazität in-folge hoher Nachfrage vorhanden sein würde. Weil wir vor Ort eine ganz andere Situation vorfanden, bewerten wir diese Angaben im Onlineportal als gezielte Falschmeldung, um kurzfristige Buchungserfolge zu erzielen. Übrigens ergaben unsere Nachforschungen bei anderen Hotels der Insel ähnliche Erfolge.
Ebenso konnten wir keinerlei Möglichkeiten von Fitnesseinrichtungen im Hotel feststellen bzw. wurden uns diese zur Nutzung nicht angeboten. Den in der Beschreibung ausgewiesenen Garten suchten wir vergebens.

Nun das Avra liegt in einer Feriensiedlung die zum Dorf Pachaina gehört. Rund um das Hotel sind weitere Ferienhäuser und Apartments. Somit nach der Nebensaison ist es doch etwas weit ab vom Schuss. Wer es ruhig mag dem gefällt die Lage. Der Hauptort Adamas ist bequem erreichbar, Pollonia ebenfalls.
Die Studios sind gut geschnitten. Ein Strand ist ca 300m vom Hotel entfernt.
