This hotel is perfect if you went skiing and need to relax afterwards. The spa facilities are clean and well kept. Customers have to pay an extra fee to use these facilities. The gym was disappointing—it was small and not well equipped. The food and service was excellent at all the restaurants that it has to offer. We stayed at the Fairmont Gold and didn’t get a proper tour of our room and the texting service did not work. I felt the staff could go further to accommodate the customers.

Breakfast buffet is always good and the Rundle Lounge is a great hangout place after a long day.

The only downside is that the hotel has lost a little of its luxury charm (we’ve been staying there many years), it seems to cater more to conferences / corporate.

The staff were incredible. Our car was always ready for us and everyone was kind and paid special attention to detail. One staff member over heard us talking about going to dinner at one of the restaurants at the hotel. We asked him if we needed a reservation and he said no, you should be able to get right in. We had a party of 9. When we showed up to the restaurant a table was already reserved for us because that staff member had called ahead and reserved the table for us on our behalf. 10 out of 10!

The overall hotel and spa was lovely. Only thing that wasn’t ideal was that our room wasn’t quite ready upon arrival but we were able to still check in and received a text once it was ready to go. We then had to wait in a long line a second time to finish off the check in process which seemed counter productive. The rooms are starting to look a little tired if you look closely but overall I would highly recommend. The Rundle Bar has great light fare options and is a really nice vibe.

The phone in my room didn’t work, the room didn’t have towels or any amenities to shower so I had to make multiple international phone calls from my cell phone and we had to bring down all our own luggage by hand (they don’t let you use the luggage carts). The bathroom in our room fit inside harry potters under stairs room. Definitely not worth $900.

The location speaks for itself but the staff were so attentive and friendly. They really went the extra mile to make sure all of your needs were met and you were satisfied. This goes for everyone -from wait staff, housekeeping, valet/front desk, spa, and shops. The resort has everything you could possibly need if you didn't want to leave the premises. Even some of the most scenic hikes originate in the hotel grounds. We went during Christmas when the temp dropped to 20 below so we stayed in and never felt like we were missing out! Beautifully decorated, ability to rent outdoor gear, and a really cool history of the hotel tour-It was an experience we will never forget!

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The Fairmont Banf has beyond excellent customer service with wonderful amenities. Variety of restaurants to choose from lots of activities and very family friendly. Great bars. The spa is wonderful. Indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzi and sauna. It was a mixed bag, but I enjoyed it. I would not recommend paying full price here though (it will not be worth it). I booked a gold room on Expedia, but when I got the booking all references to the gold room had disappeared. The room and the hotel were very nice. The room is large but the washroom is the size of one you would see at a hostel in China. The steak house was amazing, but the bars and vermillion restaurant were disappointing. The woman at the front desk helping you find activities in the area was amazing.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay at. We stayed in a suite which had amazing views and breakfast included. The VIP staff was incredible and helped us plan our stay a couple weeks in advance. They were also there to help in every way. Overall this hotel is the Best in Banff. (We went to the Chateau LL as well.)

We stayed here for 3 nights Oct 13-16. Didn’t realize we booked as gold member and checked in at the regular concierge. We used the gold member from then on. Breakfast was included as gold member. Espresso coffee was included in the room.
I find the washroom was a little too small as the toilet was hiding behind the door. Other than that, we had a great stay.
