Wonderful hotel on the seafront.

Fabulous quirky hotel right on the seafront with private parking. Rooms are huge with modern clean bathroom. Only little negatives was not hospitality tray in the room as i like to brew up in my pyjamas and although coffee available outside i didn't fancy getting dressed to leave the room. Bring a travel kettle and mug if in room drinks are important. Also only basic tv. Watched Netflix on my laptop. These are not disastrous negatives but important little details to me.

OK but Old fashioned

A lovely entrance lobby with unique flooring. Our room was very dated and the hairdryer contraption is out of the 70's! The breakfast was OK but could tell things need to be done (by order of the management, no doubt) in a certain way. And have been done that way for years! The ladies serving were pleasant and efficient. This wasn't an awful stay just not as modern as we are used to.

This is one of those rare, exquisite properties you don't think exist anymore. The proprietor met us at the front desk, showed us to our room, which was a great price and had AMAZING views. The breakfast is hot and to order from reserved tables. It is an exceptional property in a wonderful town. 10/10 would absolutely stay here again. We are considering planning another vacation specifically to this property.
The only downside is parking. If possible, park across the street because the lot is very compact and sometimes hard to navigate.

The Fitzgerald hotel is amazing was met by Gerry and taken to our room and everything explained to me room was spotless and very big great views tea and coffee available for free all day room was cleaned and fresh bedding and towels after day one breakfast was amazing wat a selection staff were first class only one small issue was the internet but didn't mind a complete 5star hotel experience

First impressions we got when walking into the hotel was awful, noone sitting on reception like a normal hotel, had to ring the bell 3 times for someone to come out. When I got approached by a man to check us in to be told I only booked a double & single room. I says yes and I requested a cot for a child, and by a ignorant man (manager he says) to be told NO! We don't have cots, you are breaking the policies of the hotel all this crap. If you want to stay somewhere else you can!! Cut a long story short we had to drive hour away to stay somewhere. Never witnessed customer service like it before EVER!!! Wouldn't even mention the hotel to anyone that it even existed!!!!

Old style hotel, good size room but very dated. The hotel and hallways had a strong cigarette smell which is a big turn off for me. If you get there early enough you can park out the back. It was cold and had to ask to get the heating in room turned on as it only started at 6pm, which was no problem

The property is delightfully in a time warp of 80 years ago.
Our only complaint was that there was no bottled water in the bedroom (and was not available to buy when the bar was not open).

Toilets in lobby locked, had to ask to use them.
Extremely tiny car park at rear, once in it was difficult to turn around to get out as no parking spaces. Had to park on roadside but move car before 9am to avoid parking charges, can not park in larger car park in front of hotel as it does not allow overnight parking.
Front door was still locked at 8am so had to ring for receptionist to unlock.
No tea/coffee in room - it is only available at the foot of the stairs so very inconvenient.
Breakfast choice was ok & both food & coffee were tasty.
Room was nice & warm with new bed linen but overall was dated. Paint was peeling off the bathroom ceiling but there was sufficient space to place toiletries bag next to sink which was a positive point.

The hotel has a friendly atmosphere. The rooms are clean & comfortable, and the bathrooms were well equipped with a wall mounted hairdryer, soap & shampoo. Good hot water from the shower & decent pressure. Very good location, right on the main st & our room had a sea view. The breakfast was very good indeed. I’d happily stay again.

This was a really enjoyable stay. Big and comfortable room with a view out to sea. Got lucky and saw a dolphin out in the bay.
Staff were all excellent with top quality service. There was a warmth with how they dealt with their customers. Breakfast was delicious along with the lovely home made brown bread.
Had one of the nicest fillet steaks in the Bistro.
Great location too close to other nice bars and in a quiet part of the town. Very easy location for travel to sightsee the area.
Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Bundoran ares

A lovely well maintained hotel got my room on a special deal, it’s such a pity no access to self service tea/coffee or water in room this really basic service let’s the hotel down even a basic hotel offers this , found room very noisy only went quiet about four in the morning after everyone returned from local dances or other bars , restaurant very expensive and very small , good breakfast even no self service buffet they have cut corners on this also these two areas that I have mentioned let down what is a beautiful old world well kept hotel oh and my tv didn’t work no signal .

Hidden gem in bundoran

This hotel is a hidden gem in Bundoran, a beautiful peaceful place with delicious food, excellent service and comfortable rooms. Value for money couldn't be better. The only negative comment I could make was that the shower wasn't great, however this did not overly influence my stay and I will definitely book Fitzgeralds again in the future.

We stayed for one night only, the owner was very gracious and helped us with everything we needed. Beautiful old world victorian feel with antiques everywhere. Bathrooms were spacious and plenty of hot water. Parking at hotel is tight, but there is a public parking lot across the street.

What a find. We needed an overnight to break up a longer drive and we would return in a heartbeat. Great room overlooking the sea. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. Opted to eat in the restaurant and not only was the food amazing but we had a wonderful conversation with the owner about the history of the hotel.

This hotel is on the main seafront road, we had a room overlooking the bay. First impressions are that it is a bit dated and could do with some modernisation in the reception/general area. Having said that the rooms were really great, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Excellent big bath! Perfectly fine breakfast. We were well looked after.

No real complaints about the hotel or the staff, whom were in general nice, but whilst unloading bikes & bags into a store room, the hotel manager arrived and became angry in a very short space of time because our car was blocking his private parking spot as we unloaded. Despite moving our car, he approached the open car window and was aggressive and threatening when over-hearing me relaying the 'conversation' the driver, whom had been in the store room previously. We were left feeling very uneasy and unwelcome for the remainder of our stay.

This is a classic small old hotel. Its decor and furnishings are of an earlier era, but clean and well-maintained. Our room had a beautiful view across the road to Donegal Bay. It appears that the staff is small, but very friendly and helpful. One caveat: The front door and gate to the car park are locked from midnight to 8 a.m., so if you plan an early departure or even a walk before breakfast, make arrangements in advance.

Small hotel almost like a B&B reception was not maned all the time. The cook parked in the driveway so no one could get out in the morning. Room was pleasant with a view of the north Atlantic breakfast was late 8:30am was the start time. We left early so we missed breakfast .It did not have a restaurant inside so we ate diner at a pub down the street

A night by the sea

There was no one on reception most of the time . No tea coffee in the roo. There was a area make coffee at the bottom of stairs but paper cups. The staff were no way friendly. No intrest in their guests . The room was nice and clean . Breakfast at 8/10 on Sunday .
