When we were checking out we asked the receptionist where we could buy a new umbrella nearby. She went and got us one from their lost & found collection, saying “people leave umbrellas behind in their rooms all of the time”. She saved us time and money AND saved the planet some landfill space by recycling a perfectly good umbrella!

We informed reception quickly after arrival that we had no hot water. After an hour and another visit to reception a nice guy was sent to confirm that we had no hot water. After booking an upgraded room we had to shower in cold water. The water was hot. To be fair the next morning I asked for some concession which was given by the lady on reception who was excellent on check in and check out.
We also had contact with bar staff, and housekeeping who were all brilliant. However we ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff were soulless. Whilst efficient not one smile and my wife and I both noted , no eye contact. We felt they wanted us in and out asap.

The reception and front lobby has been upgraded to a more modern style which is excellent. The staff are amazing and the breakfast was perfect. The hotel doesn't have room air-conditioning and we arrived in a heatwave in July 2025.Upon the receipt of a 20 Euros deposit the hotel will give you a desk fan if it's needed. It definitely made a difference to our stay.

The room was so hot on arrival and even though we opened the window, it did not cool down enough for a goods night sleep. The windows were dirty and had lots of cobwebs. Room staff good, we did not require our room to be serviced but they gave us extra tea and coffee and milk. Overall, the hotel is well positioned, within walking distance of supermarket. Only 1 lift. Lots of parking.

The internet did not work and hadn't for weeks. Unacceptable!
There is no AC. The one window only opened a crack and the heat comes on according to their schedule and levels, not the room occupant’s. We turned the radiators off and were still cooking. We called down and asked for help. They \"fixed\" it but the heat stayed on. The guy they sent could not figure it out and said something was broken. They finally re-accommodated us to another room at 10:40 pm.
Unfortunately this new room was so heavily fragranced that my wife's allergies kept her awake much of the night.
The beds were so lumpy and hard in the new room that I tossed and turned all night.
The breakfast we paid extra for was ok as far as far as it went but the choices were so few.
These are not just bad luck things. These are decisions on the management’s part to do things on the cheap in spite of how it will negatively affect their clientele. I feel cheated.

The hotel is clean and friendly.The only things letting it down is the WiFi which is terrible non existent really. Plus I ordered vegan stir-fry with rice but got served egg noodles the waitress wasn't bothered. Other than that our stay was fine.

When we entered our room we noticed right away how cold it was. The radiator was warming up and cooling down. We eventually contacted reception and a maid arrived with a radiator and blankets...we were still wearing our coats and scarves. A man then arrived to tell us the radiator was air-locked. WE got wrapped up in the blankets. The room was very slow to warm up and the bathroom not at all which meant we could not have a bath. So we left to have a meal in the town and on returning found the room had warmed up.

Hotel seemed to be more interested in promoting it's own nightly music show for which it charged €20 (cheaper for guests) than providing a service for the guests themselves. Parking was provided at the rear of the (very large) property but with no access from the car park to the hotel so had to walk all around the hotel to get to reception regardless of the weather with no cover - it rained every day we were there. For breakfast you had to book but when you arrived it was possibly the most disorganised breakfast room I have ever visited. Food and drinks not available causing big queues even though because of the booking system they knew exactly how many guests were eating. Also some of the waiting staff stood around for up to 15 minutes chatting rather than cleaning tables etc with no-one apparently supervising or managing them.

The hotel has got 3 EV charging points with 3 reserved spaces for same, I wished to charge my car but was unable to get a space to park my car to do so, because all 3 reserved spaces were occupied by non-electric vehicles, owners were unable to be contacted very inconsiderate of drivers and dissappointing for me.

Room was spacious and well equipped. Really liked walk in shower rather than over a bath. The breakfast was excellent and we had a seat with a view of the sea. Also liked the free car parking.

Staff was great, the hotel had a lot of stuff going on nightly, like live music, seems like a happening place. Bathrooms were updated bedrooms and hallways are dated.

Sensational outlook and what an introduction to Ireland - the food at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was very nice, a welcome surprise!

Great location and view at breakfast. Breakfast was brilliant, good variety, prompt service and even vegetarian sausages which is a big plus and came out super quick! Dinner ends early ish so if you get in late you need to order and not many local options however Would recommend the actual hotel!
