were not sufficiently lighted, walking was a bit treacherous.
The shower door in our room needs to be realigned, very
difficult to open and close. Otherwise we were very happy
with our stay and plan on returning.

You have to walk down a side hill of the beach to get to the water but once you’re down there, it’s fun, but no Wi-Fi connection unless you walk back up to the top. Overall fun time with the option to go up to the pool or back to the ocean all day long right on the beach and a restaurant right on the premises with a bar.

We’ve stayed here for the past 4-5 summers. It’s a great location to that gives the option of pool or beach as you choose. Good location for fire work displays along the beach and the dining is usually decent to good at the facility. The only glitch this year was that the pool water level was filled too high which made the covers of the filters pop off. This resulted in one of our party who was distracted while helping a child with shoes stepping back and because the filter cover had popped up, she ended up having a fall and getting a painful and serious bruise to her leg muscle. The staff gave ice and checked back in later on, but the injury did end up causing pain and bother for a couple of months. We’re not the litigious type and just handled the inconvenience with our own coverage, but mentioning so others are aware to be careful of the their proximity to the pool filters. Again, that is the only hiccup in multiple years of staying here… It is a delightful location. Only other not would be that there is no elevator and that bags will need to be carried up stairs to rooms. The staff will help with this upon request but since there isn’t an elevator and the layout of the facility has many levels and need to navigate stairs… People with physical challenges may want to visit in person to assess the accessibility before booking.

The location is unbeatable. Absolutely stunning right alongside Misquamicut beach. The amenities seemed great too -- the pool looked nice, there was a lovely entryway area, and it appeared that there was some breakfast and coffee available. The staff were also super friendly.

The only downside was the room itself. It smelled musty and the carpet was stained. If there are better rooms to stay in I'd highly recommend this location with an ocean view. If the other rooms are like ours then I couldn't recommend it unless room cleanliness is a low priority.

The way the rooms are portrayed in Orbitz is very misleading. The room I booked showed a balcony with a water view, yet the room that was booked through Orbitz was not a water view. The front desk blamed it on Orbitz and had nothing available for a water view. She said it happens all the time. Why would no one fix this issue?

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It was right on the beach and the heated pool was very nice. We had a very good meal at the restaurant and coffee and tea and a microwave were available in the lobby. The area has much to offer, the ocean, restaurants and the beautiful beach. More handicapped access would be good for those with mobility issues. We will most likely come for a return visit .

I have returned to this property many years now. It is right on the ocean, and you can be on the beach, or you can choose the lovely pool. The restaurant and bar have an excellent ocean view and you can enjoy outdoor dining by the ocean. The food is very good. I’m always very happy with my stay here.

Room looked clean but I found a binky when I dropped something near the bed. Rug had quite a few stains very old. Ocean view room comfortable but not enough chaise lounge chairs people left towels on them overnight so they could save them.Glad we had a balcony otherwise no outside seating. Didn’t like that, trash outside not picked up first thing in the am so when you go outside early trash from the night before still there didn’t see any barrels outside. Overall the view made up for it!

Pleasant surprise! Great location and view was amazing. Room is tiny but clean, updated &
comfy bed. Pool is meh, don’t go for that… basically in the parking lot with a chain link fence. It’s very small & of course tons of kids - so perfect if that’s why’s you want.
Very overpriced but paying for location.
Restaurant was decent too, only had dinner.
I do think for 400- $500 / night in the summer they can upgrade their cheap plastic lawn chairs to nicer more comfortable ones and even the table & chairs at the restaurant are cheap plastic. It would make a ton of difference. Maybe some more flowers around the property and water the lawn a bit so it’s not dead looking at those prices. People want to look at pretty things.

Extremely small room that had terrible musty odor. Bed very uncomfortable. Bins for clothing rather than dresser. Only 2 plastic hangars provided. Ran out of pool towels and room towels. Pool was cloudy and not heated like claim. Check in person chewed gum the entire time and had us fill out questionnaire that was filled out ahead of time. Restaurant food was not to our liking. Overpriced for what was offered but did have nice view of water.

Love that the hotel is right on the beach and had beach front rooms. Parking was difficult to find, once we found a place to park we didn’t move our car for fear of not being able to find parking again. Room is a little dated, could have been cleaner and better maintained. No housekeeping services are provided unless you call and request. Could have provided better service and cleaner rooms for the amount they charge for small rooms. You’re paying for beach view and location which we knew when we booked. Maggie’s gift store was great. Owner was very friendly and offered some really cute clothing, jewelry, etc. The hotel charges a resort fee which this hotel in my opinion isn’t a resort and not much different than the other beach hotels in the area which don’t charge the resort fee.

Your property is tremendously well situated.. The fact that you provide free parking isaboon that you don't get at many other beach side hotels. The free coffee in the lobby was wonderful and thank you. Having the restaurant on-site was also a blessing so that you didn't have to go out that one night. The only recommendation I would have and I think that it would be a tremendous money maker for you would be to offer breakfast sandwiches for a few hours in the restaurant. I will highly recommend your property.

I stayed at Pleasant View Inn for a business meeting and was beyond impressed. The room was spotless, the AC worked perfectly, and the view from our room was absolutely stunning. I came with my assistant and we brought our kids along—what a perfect decision! The gorgeous private beach, relaxing pool, and all-in-one property made it so easy to mix work and relaxation. Worth every penny! This will definitely be our yearly spot for our business conference.

When I checked in I wasn’t told I needed to request housekeeping so the next afternoon when I got back to my room and nothing was done I inquired about housekeeping and that’s when I was told—front desk not helpful and that included the manager
Coffee one day was full of grinds and next day was as light as tea
The carpet on stairs and other floors was in need of being replaced extremely dirty and stained
The corridors to the rooms didn’t appear to be swept or vacuumed at all. Same sand pebbles small wrappers etc there the days we were there
Parking was a challenge-what does someone do if no spots available?
I’m not saying I wouldn’t stay again just that some improvements should be considered

False room descriptions. Gave our room to someone else. Said all room have balconies after calling the inn itself several times after booking sayingbour roomhad a balcony ....false.
Poor layout for anyone who has difficulty with stairs or uses a wheel chair. Only one ramp that gets you into building. Had to lift lived one up in wheel chair to use rear exit. still a 6 in or so drop to get outdoors. Never mine going to dinner then having to use restroom have to go down stairs or booknkt to the other end of the property to where our room was located. Had to be pushed backwards inntbe parking lot tmdow a side hill through sand tobget to vehicle. Also could not enjoy outdoor seating area unless you go to outdoor restuarant. Tried having love one tranfer to lounger. The chair arms made it difficult. Live one said it wheel chair one night then we had to get a pass and walk to Benson Ave beach for lived one to enjoy the sand and a walk to the besch using a beach wheelchair located at that beach. Love one could not acess pool or look at souvenirs. All down stairs at check in. Could not enjoy amenties/restroom before or after checkout unless you do laps from rear of property where beach is to push love ones wheel chair all the way through gravel lot and a walk along road to their front entrance. Would have been nice if we received the room with outdoor floor balcony. Loved one coukd have enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings having a restroom inside the booked room easy to access.

Having a breakfast option in the morning would be key. There used to be a fantastic breakfast in the dining room. Would love to see that come back. Location wise the you can’t get any better or any closer to the beach. You can feel the ocean on your face when standing on the balcony. BUT…. The room was VERY small. Pretty much the size of a big walk in closet. The balcony was VERY small as well. Me and my wife had to climb over each other and the 2 chairs on the balcony because there was no room to even move them.
The carpet was very old and in need of upgrade probably 5 years ago. Sand all over the hallways because there is no place to rinse off your feet after the beach. Staff was very nice. Restaurant and bar were cool. The hotel was definitely overprice for what your getting.

$450/nite for small room w/2 double beds, view of wall of adjacent bldg, not great considering its seaside hotel & this was a \"cheap\" room. for $200/nite MORE, could've had parking lot view or \"obstructed\" ocean view. I travelled w/my 81 yo mom & mentioned in online check-in that my elderly companion would be tired from 3-4 hr drive, so the sooner we could access the room, the better. arrived at 1:30, check in is 4. front desk said to check back periodically to see if room was available, did that 3x - room wasn't available until 4, so my mother and I had to hang around the lobby, then the restaurant, for 2.5 hrs with a car full of stuff to unload. ice cream sundaes in restaurant took 20 mins. I can see 20 mins for hot food cooked to order, but sundaes?? waitress was pleasant/attentive & we had a lovely ocean view - so no complaints there. heavy glass shower door was off the track, requiring brute force to open/close. on-site parking insufficient, had to park across street, requiring multiple trips & extra distance to/from car in 90+ degree late-July heat. private beach was great, pool & game room were nice amenities. handicapped ramp at front entrance led to a lobby with stairs as the only way to reach the rooms, had to haul heavy walker up/down the stairs to get in/out of the hotel. only maintenance people passing by offered to help a few times - folks right at lobby front desk ignored our struggles. location is GREAT, but the hotel itself? only \"meh.\"

The staff at the hotel are nice. The view from our room was pretty. The hotel itself needs an update or at least some maintenance. The balcony was wood and needed to be repaired and painted. The privacy curtains did not close . I told the front desk and they said they would send someone but ,I have no idea if they ever did. No one followed up with me and the curtains were suck the 3 days we were there. The sheets and beds were clean but not very comfortable.The room itself had dust in every corner and the air conditioning wall unit was dirty and you could see there was no insulation around the unit. There are no phones in the rooms and the front desk never offered a number to call if you needed to get I touch with them. Unfortunately this was supposed to be a relaxing getaway and it really wasn’t.

We had a King beachfront room. The view was superb. But the room was so small. I mean you couldn't comfortably move through it. It did not match the photos on line. When we asked about a room change we were told there were no other king ocean rooms available during our five night stay. The bathroom was also very small, with just a pedastal sink. No shelving or table or area around the sink to put your toothbrushes or toiletries. It was so cramped. There was not a coffee maker in the room, which was very unexpected. I can't remember the last time we didn’t have in room coffee service! Instead you had to trudge down to the lobby to get your coffee in the morning. The patio fit two chairs and a table, but you had to move the chairs and table around to get onto the patio and into a chair.

What wasn't disappointing was the fantastic beach. It wasn't exclusive to the hotel, but it was awesome! No beach chairs or umbrellas are provided or available for rent, but we brought our own. The hotel has a decent sized pool at the front of the facility. We ate at the restaurant on site twice. The food was good and the service was excellent.

Overall, it was very disappointing for $450 a night.

I have ALWAYS loved this place AND I will continue to come here. This \"not perfect stay\" is an anomaly. Pool was \"closed\" the only the only morning I was there (chemical imbalance?. Staff person yelled at me \"Pool's Closed\" like I knew......THEN put the sign in place.
There was a set of dirty towels in the same little sofa near games for 24hrs...surely someone would have seen it? I do realize it is the height of summer and I usually go Off Season. I DO LOVE PLEASANT VIEW INN and WILL continue to come here and be a cheerful customer. Please try to have a kitchen breakfast....maybe a trial (or maybe you tried it and failed)....or some kind of continental breakfast?. I am sorry this was not my best visit. kind regards. Hotel wonderful! Very clean! Perfect location- on the beach! So nice they have a bar and restaurant and offer complimentary coffee in the morning. Walk to everything! Love it!!

Even though we booked the room for two days, they made us to move another room at the second day. They have terrible scheduling system. Also the both two rooms had very bad smells probably because of the carpets. Another thing that bothers us there were seaweeds all around the beach and hotel ignored them.

Only one thing we loved was the location of the hotel. You can walk in two minutes to the beach. I don’t think to go there second time.

While the beach is only a short walk away, this hotel is incredibly over priced. Our room was much smaller than we expected. If you get a room with a balcony view it may be larger but that’s an additional charge. There are two parking lots that are supposed to be for guests only, but if you leave you will most definitely lose your spot. While the staff was friendly and having the ocean just a short walk away was a plus, I won’t be back. Incredibly overpriced for what you actually get.

Such a convenient and beautiful spot. We loved the easy access to the beach on one side and pool on the other. Perfect for families with kids. Beautiful location and restaurant/bar on site. Outside seating next to the ocean with stunning views.

Hotel was great, people - staff great. Area quaint. Hotel needs to offer breakfast, needs to have better hotel staff for cleaning rooms. Making beds, removing room trash and used towels. Other than that this place was great.

Beautiful location- Room Ok.

Location of hotel is absolutely beautiful. Beach is steps away from the hotel. Pool & area appeared nice & clean. Did not have a chance to utilize it. The hotel has a restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating. Food was very good.

The reason for the rating. As the room may be blocked off for 3rd party bookings. I received a corner queen room facing the pool. The entry main door to room didn’t close properly. No chain or additional bolt provided. Door to pool balcony was broken. There’s also no phone in room to contact the hotel directly. Important for solo travelers to be aware of.

Also, the Mini fridge leaked onto carpet. Bed was comfy & towels were provided. The room overall didn’t not appear clean. As floor & bathroom were dirty. Fan also did not work in bathroom. Toiletres available in room are available by dispenser. High quality products!

For a 1 night stay it was overall nice. Just some things to be aware of for anyone booking on this app.
