Miriam was incredibly sweet and very helpful, as was an older woman whose name I do not remember. She was very helpful during our breakfast Saturday morning.
There was a woman who worked at the front desk who told me nothing was open (as I was asking to find any place to find food) so I should go to McDonalds (don’t know if this was a blow because I’m American) but didn’t appreciate that neither did my husband.
Morning breakfast on Sunday was quite disappointing . Sat down at a table, nobody brought plates or cutlery to eat so grabbed everything on our own. Massage was terrible and I cut it short because the masseuse was quite frankly rubbing lotion on me and didn’t use any force. Won’t go back again.

A beautiful property with rooms fitting of such a wonderful Chateau. The pool looked beautiful but as it was raining it was covered up. A spa would make it perfect especially after a long day travelling. The restaurants food was fantastic. Lots of areas to sit and relax and have a drink.

An absolutely beautiful historic property. The staff and service were Top Notch. The only thing that I would note was that the food wasn’t as high-end as I expected. The chef seemed to pay more attention to fussy presentation than the dish itself. I will also note that we dined at several Châteaus and this seemed to be a common theme. I am guessing that they have watered down their menu to appeal to a wider audience since Covid. Note: I am a foodie and have incredibly high expectations, particularly in France. This aside, I would highly recommend this beautiful château.

We just spent 11 wonderful days in France and Chateau de Rochecotte was , by far, the best hotel of our trip. Lush grounds surround the beautifully designed Chateau with spacious rooms. Delicious food and great service provided for an elegant dining experience. And all of this for a very reasonable price.

Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious.
Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits. Nobody care to ask if we need something.

Live in your own Chateau!

The Chateau is gorgeous and located on a large, lush property. Thoroughly renovated and very clean. Great outdoor pool. In-house restaurant is very good, though our waiter pressured us to select a dessert when we ordered our mains, which is \"very common in France.\" When we told him we have eaten many meals in France and never had that experience, he backed off. But it was unnecessarily confrontational and unpleasant. Otherwise the staff was good.

Chateau Rochecotte

The Chateau Rochecotte is a real 'find'. The rooms are wonderfully decorated with high celiings and tremendious space. Restaurant is wonderful and served the best meal we have had in France so far. Deserts were aweseom.

Staff was amazing, very helpful and pleasant. Bar team was very nice - thank you for complimentary sweet treats :)
It is lovely building and area.
We were disappointed that 4 star hotel could not offer a la carte breakfast ( example: fried or pouched eggs, fried fresh bacon and etc.) for the price of 24 euros... or at least one vegetarian lunch/dinner meal.
Also, property has no wall soundproofing - we could hear every word from next room.

Nice \"Chateau de la loire\" XP

After a brief misunderstanding regarding dinner (the restaurant was fully booked when I checked-in), dinner was served in my room and staff fixed this situation with much pleasure.
I left a bad check-in rating because of that but in the end, the stay was nearly up to my expectations.
This is a really nice place, with stunning countryside views and good staff service.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the Chateau de la Loire Experience.

Wonderful - a gem in Chinon countryside

Cheese trolley. If you like cheese, then eating in the restaurant is a must - not only is all of the food fantastic - but the cheese trolley is incredible.

The rooms are beautiful - individually decorated and tastefully furnished. Comfortable beds with clean linen, and amazing bathrooms.

Relaxation!

It was such a relaxing time in the Loire Valley! Situated on a hillside, there was an amazing view of the valley. The pool was also a relaxing place to hang out in the afternoon. It is more secluded, so you cannot walk to meals outside of the property, so plan ahead! We drove into Tours (~30 min drive) one night for something different and found some amazing places!

Went here for our 25th anniversary & couldn't be more pleased. The staff went out of their way to accommodate every need & then some. Our room was lovely, the public rooms are wonderful, walking around the garden area & pathways was so peaceful. Champagne in the garden patio. It was all just perfect. I do hope we will be able to visit again.

Wonderful hotel! You feel like you’re staying at a private castle. Staff was incredibly hospitable and grounds were beautiful. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed and the restaurant is to die for. A bit pricy though worth the money. If we ever go back to this area, this is where we’d stay.

Beautiful grounds but NOT for elderly, disabled.

Stayed for a few days while visiting the region. Very nice, central location, about 10-15 minutes from Langeais and within easy driving distance of nearby chateaux, churches, etc. Staff was helpful but less warm than in other places we stayed. Hotel grounds are magnificent with beautiful views of the area, a wonderful terrace, an outstanding collection of trees (of many different kinds) and some nice walks around the property, though there are no hiking trails. Rooms are very nice with generally modern bathrooms, but the layout can be strange: in one room, the closet is in the bathroom! And the air conditioning works very well, which was a real asset as this was a hot August. BUT we all had allergic reactions to the hotel rooms of varying severity, from mild (nasal congestion) to reasonably strong (runny nose, itchy throat, stuffed up heads, sore throats, etc.). Maybe it was the cats; maybe it was dust trapped in the carpets or curtains, but it was noticeable. It got better during the course of each day (when we were away from the hotel) but worsened at night. It only really got better when we left. Also, one of the toilets was so close to the radiator that it was difficult to use -- and this was in summer, when the heat was off. There was so little space that an elderly or disabled person might have found it dangerous.

Lovely building, in need of refurbishment

We stayed here on our honeymoon while exploring the Loire for a week. The building itself is an old chateau, in pretty grounds and with a nice outdoor pool. The staff were very friendly. The hotel itself has however clearly not been refurbished for a while, and represented very poor value. Similarly, the restaurant was smart and food was very good, but it was overpriced.

Fabulous Chateau

We had a wonderful two day stay at Chateau Rochecotte. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The view from the window was beautiful. The staff were very kind and helpful. Loved having a light snack up on the terrace. Dinner was Devine and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this Chateau if you are looking for a lovely place in the country to relax.

We stayed for the weekend on our way home from the south coast. Arrived late, but greeted with real friendliness. Took care to meet my additional requests, e-mailed through in advance.

Didn't try the breakfast, as €21 per person price tag was too hefty for us. Chinon is relatively close by, with its fab castle, old town and restaurants/cafés.

Dinner was excellent - a real treat. Wine selection (and cheese selection) unsurpassed by any other place we had eaten during our 3 week trip.

Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked. Views marvellous. Bathroom a little retro (not in a good way). Swimming pool was great - as was coffee on the terrace and walking in the gardens.

Would definitely return if I were passing by again.

Spectacular Setting

We stayed here just after it opened after the winter break so it had not really got up to speed. It was very cold outside and the interior had not warmed through, our room was just warm enough. Rooms are lovely, space to sit and relax and a huge bathroom. The dining room was closed so we went back into Tours for an evening meal. Breakfast we did not take, we were the only guests in that night and it was far too expensive, a feature of most of the breakfast separate deals.

AVOID SUMMER STAY HERE!

The rooms have no air conditioning and no fans. The beautiful windows have no screens either, so mosquitoes do get in. This hotel should not be offered in summer months. Certain basics are missing from the room as well - mainly, there is no waste basket - There is a mini bar, so you have nowhere to put any empties or personal garbage. The tiny garbage can in the bathroom with a lid is inadequate. On the other hand, the rooms are beautiful and the bathroom modernized. Access to the pool area is rather cumbersome.

Séjour sublime au Château de Rochecotte !
Une chambre calme, propre et spacieuse, décorée avec beaucoup d’élégance. Le domaine est tout simplement à couper le souffle, entre les jardins a la francaise, l allée de tilleuls, la forêt et l’étang… Que dire ? Un véritable écrin de nature.
L’équipe est chaleureuse, accueillante et toujours disponible. Nous avons eu la chance de dîner deux soirs au restaurant du château, et chaque dîner fut absolument sublime.
Un grand merci à toute l’équipe, et tout particulièrement à l’équipe en salle, qui nous a parfaitement conseillés dans le choix des vins et a pris le temps de nous préparer une sélection des meilleurs vins d’Anjou. je vous conseille de déguster la cuvée de rochecotte 2023, vous ne serez pas décu!
Encore un grand merci. Nous y reviendrons sans hésitation.

Mein Aufenthalt im Château Rochecosch war leider enttäuschend.

Ich hatte ein Dreibettzimmer gebucht, erhielt jedoch ein Doppelbett mit zusätzlichem Kinderbett. Trotzdem wurde mir zunächst die „Bereitstellung des dritten Bettes“ separat berechnet, obwohl dies so nicht angekündigt war. Erst nach Diskussion wurde der Betrag entfernt.

Beim Frühstück wurde zunächst falsch für mehrere Tage abgerechnet, was jedoch schnell korrigiert wurde. Für 24 € pro Person wurde ein kleines Selbstbedienungsbuffet mit sehr überschaubarer Auswahl angeboten, was für ein Château dieser Kategorie nicht angemessen wirkt.

Auch das Zimmer konnte nicht überzeugen: einfacher Gartenausblick und keine Möglichkeit, selbst gegen Aufpreis ein anderes Zimmer zu bekommen.

Insgesamt passt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier nicht zu den Erwartungen.

Nous avons eu un souci de chauffage dans une chambre, et le restaurant est catastrophique, mais cela n'a pas gâché notre séjour. L'hôtel est un bijou, le personnel très gentil, et le parc est très agréable même en janvier. Les animaux du domaine donnent une ame supplementaire a ce lieu magnifique.
