The room was not the best, bathroom required renovation and in general service could be improved, in fact we stayed for 2 nights and nobody cleaned our room after the first day... we returned in our room around midnight and we found it as it was at 10 am

Unfortunately, this has been one of the dirtiest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The carpets were stained and the bathroom floor was sticky. The rooms were not serviced once during our 4 night stay apart from the bins being emptied daily. No fresh towels either. The staff were friendly but seemed a little put out if we asked them for help with anything such as restaurant or taxi reservations . Breakfast was good though.

Par rapport à l'IBis Calais le petit déjeuner était très décevant. Nous avons apprécié l'accès au jardin directement dans les jardins pour notre chien. La piscine n'était pas disponible et le repas du soir était décevant. Mais le personnel était très gentil. L'hôtel pourrait bénéficier d'un coup de peinture.

Compared with the IBis Calais the breakfasr was very disappointing. Enjoyed access into the garden directly in the gardens for our dog. Swinmming pool was not available and the evening meal disappointing. But really nice tem of staff. The hotel could enjoy a lick of paint.

We spent three nights here. First impressions were the hotel needed refurbishing, however our room was clean and well maintained as was the dining room. Enough choice at breakfast for a substantial meal although some hot drinks from the machine were un drinkable. Staff very approachable and helpful. We had breakfast before we left at 5am. Pool small but perfect for my children who are learning to swim. Enjoyed drinks from bar on several occasions. Easy ten minute walk into town across bridge.

Stopover in Chinon.

Hotel with free parking and free WiFi, a short walk into Chinon. Room was comfortable and recently refurbished. The refurbishment is continuing in the hotel at the moment. A good location for a one night stopover whilst on a road trip.

Great stay.

When I arrived at the hotel, I discovered that I was allocated a bedroom on the second floor.
On enqiring whether they had rooms designed for handicapped persons, they immediatety
changed by room to such and I was able to use all the facilities in safety.

Decent hotel but no goodwill. They just want your£

I made an error when I booked 2 rooms for one night as I put a date in May rather than August ( my fault completely) . I only discovered this a few days after the date in May. I re-booked my 2 rooms for the correct dates and explained my error to Hotels.com who contacted the hotel. Despite the fact that the Hotel was probably not fully booked, I had stayed there before, and I had re-booked my rooms for another date, they refused to offer me any refund ( I think I’d even paid extra for breakfasts) and charged me 100% of the booking which was over 200 euros. So basically it was my fault but forget any goodwill or customer care. This Hotel couldn’t care less and just wants your money it seems!

Ibis Style hotel is... not for middle age people. Great for youngsters who don't expect great spaces or comforts. I will never again go to an ibis hotel. More space and better looks are important for us. Very basic hotel.

No pretensions. Great value and comfort.

We stayed one night en route south but wanted to take in a day/evening in Chinon. This hotel was excellent value. We had a room on ground floor with patio doors to garden and two nice loungers. Beautiful view of old castle. 15 minute walk to town. Hotel restaurant was great and all the staff were friendly especially waiting staff. Great parking outside door a big plus.

Having driven through France in a heatwave añ stayed at some great hotels, it was a HUGE disappointment to find there was no air conditioning. 'Style' is very dated. Little effort put into keeping grounds tidy.

Drove past the entrance road as it said restricted access and only private houses were visible but decided that that must be the one despite there being no indication that the hotel was down there. Parking spaces are very narrow restricting door opening. Decor is very 70´s 80´s. Breakfast bar had a very good selection, probably the best we have seen in this type of hotel.

Good hotel close to the centre but in a very quiet area. Pool great for a post sight seeing cool down. But if you want to have 3 people in the room, you then can not easily open the window, which is also the door on to the balcony, and the room is very cramped.

Great location

Well placed hotel if you have a car as there is plenty of parking space and the hotel is only 15 minutes on foot over the river to the lovely old town of Chinon and its famous fortress. Our room was quite spacious for this type of hotel and had everything we needed. A swimming pool was an added attraction. We will return as the hotel is very handy for visiting the surrounding villages and castles which we didn't have time to see on this brief visit.

Clean, reasonable and great location.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived, but that wasn't a problem as we headed straight to the pool. When we went to the room it was very clean with no tatty fittings. We were on the 3rd (top) floor and had a fantastic view of the Chateaux in the town. We walked into Chinon in the evening (only 10 minutes away over the river) for a nice meal before a very comfortable night. The breakfast was very good value (and tasty). And the reception staff were very helpful contacting (and translating where necessary) the reception staff at the next stop on our stay. We would stop off here again.

The hotel was fine but quite a walk to the town. Our only complaint was the description of the food served in the hotel restaurant. An order of chicken in wine came up as beef in wine. When challenged the waiter went off to ask the chef and came back confirming that it was chicken. I'm not sure what sort of chicken they have there but this one had a knuckle bone like a cow! Top marks for friendliness goes to Alice on reception.

We stayed at the Ibis on an over night stop on the way back to the Eurotunnel. The hotel was located in a quiet part of Chinon within a short walk of shops & restaurants. There was free parking in the hotel car park & the free wi-fi was a good bonus. A good basic buffet breakfast was included in the cost of the room. Our room overlooked fields behind the hotel & was very peaceful. The room contained everything we needed & was very clean. It would make a great base in which to explore this beautiful area of France.

Bien pour les insomniaques !

Les prestations de l'hôtel sont conformes à celles d'un ibis style.
Cependant nous avions dans un terrain sous notre balcon un rassemblement de caravanes dont le pasteur nous faisait partager ses chants religieux au micro de 8h du matin à 23h ! Ensuite leurs chiens étaient attachés et aboyaient toute la nuit !Cela ne semblait pas deranger la direction puisque j'ai dû me déplacer moi même pour tenter de faire cesser le problème !

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel. Es ist nicht besonders schön und nicht romantisch. Trotzdem ist es unglaublich praktisch für eine Durchreise weiter in den Süden. Es ist super gelegen. Es lohnt sich, den Ort Chinon anzusehen. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten und saubere Zimmer. Absolut ruhig. Der Ort lohnt total für einen Zwischenstopp. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Le seul intérêt de cet hôtel est de pouvoir dormir. Le lit est tout juste confortable, le système de chauffage/climatisation est trop bruyant et génère un courant d'air désagréable.
Le ménage est approximatif (il restait un verre à demi rempli de liquide sur le balcon).

Avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel. Points +: piscine pouvant être couverte lorsqu’il pleut, lit confortable, vue magnifique sur la forteresse, personnel très agréable. Points -: restaurant ferme, balcon inaccessible lorsque le canapé lit est déplié, du linge des précédents occupants avaient été oubliés dans la salle de bain (laissant supposer un ménage sommaire de la sdb en ces temps de Covid).

Le personnel est d'une très grande serviabilité, merci à eux d'avoir rendu notre séjour aussi agréable malgré les difficultés liées au covid.
Le seul petit point négatif était la température dans la chambre, il faisait très chaud et impossible de la baisser. Heureusement la fenêtre peut s'ouvrir.

Hôtel bien situé à Chinon. A moins de 1 km de la ville avec balcons et une belle vue sur le château ( notre chambre). Déjeuner et literie correct sans plus. L’hôtel a grand besoin de changement dans les chambres et les corridors: les tapis sont tachés et sentent l’humidité. Les animaux ne devraient pas être admis dans un établissement avec du tapis dans les chambres et les balcons manquent d’entretien.

Lieu calme. Un gros problème dans l'attribution des chambres : j'en avais loué deux, en spécifiant bien que l'une d'elles devait obligatoirement comporter des lits jumeaux. J'avais même pris la peine de téléphoner pour le rappeler. Or, ce sont deux chambres doubles qui nous ont été attribuées. Heureusement, la situation a été rattrapée de manière tout à fait correcte mais in extremis : chacun de nos enfants a pu bénéficier d'une chambre double et la troisième ne m'a pas été facturé.
Pour visiter Chinon, l'hôtel est un peu excentré... mais c'est pour cela qu'il est calme.
Quant à la tenue de l'hôtel, elle est négligée : ménage superficiel, moquette de la salle des petits déjeuners jonchée de miettes...

Ottima la posizione ma migliorabili alcuni aspetti. Stanza bella con vista sul castello di Chinon peccato che in sei giorni non abbiano mai sostituito le lenzuola e che i materassi fossero scomodissimi. Buona la qualità della ristorazione ma poco flessibilità nelle ordinazioni. Avevo la mezza pensione ma avevo grosse limitazioni nella scelta del menu

Mais um \"Styles\" que não merece o status.

Pessoal da recepção durante o dia um tanto quanto mal humorado. Os da noite e do café da manhã, ao contrário, sempre muito simpáticos.
Limpeza e manutenção têm muito que melhorar. Parece muito descuidado.
Mais um que não tem o padrão Ibis Styles, estando longe outras unidades em Grenoble, Flers e Melun.
Quarto antiquado, precisando de renovação, mas de bom tamanho. Café da manhã bom.

Hôtel à éviter absolument

Quelle surprise de voir rentrer dans sa chambre de la fumée de barbecue et les odeurs qui vont avec.
La direction de l’hôtel était au courant et laisse faire car ce sont des ouvriers qui ont pris une chambre au RDC pour 3 mois !!!
Nous avons dû demander à changer de chambre.
Du côté de la propreté, ça laisse vraiment à désirer !

Tres bons services

Personnel très agréable et serviable, à l'écoute des attentes des clients. Pour exemple, j'ai été blessée lors de mon séjour, ils ont été très prévenant et ont répondu à tous mes besoins. Ils m'ont même renvoyé des papiers que j'avais oublié à l'hôtel. De plus l'hôtel est très bien tenu et la literie très bonne.

Практичный, функциональный отель. Все, что нужно путешественнику - удобная кровать, душ, WiFi, завтрак и т.д. Есть куда выйти погулять. До крепости Шинон можно дойти за 10 минут. Сам отель никакого особенного колорита не имеет. Просто удобно и всё.

Hôtel près du centre de Chinon situation calme

Hôtel bien situé près du centre, bonne signalisation, calme et alentours agréables. Bon accueil personnel à l'écoute et serviable. Chambre bien équipée (s.a.s. d'entrée appréciable), écran télé très bien, point + wc indépendant de la cabine de douche. Hôtel bien situé pour découvrir les environs. Le concept adapté pour les enfants a été bien réfléchi et semble bien fonctionner. Satisfaits de notre séjour.
