Great Customer Service

Had an issue with my room where the air con had a slow drip. Spoke to the receptionist, who advised the maintenance was not available so if I wanted to change the room. Was happy to do so and actually gave me a better room than I had. Great customer service! The original room did look a bit run down whereas the new room looked new and well kitted out.

Good smart hotel with friendly helpful staff. Great location to hire bikes from the hotel and explore the area on exceptional network of cycle paths. Limited facilities in room e.g. no iron, bottled water, mini bar or safe etc. Perfectly comfortable for what we needed.

Indeling kamer was niet okay, via toilet naar de kamer gedeelte.

Ontbijt start om 8uur ipv 7uur zoals vermeld op de website. Oplossing ontbijtpakketje meegekregen maar brood belegd zonder boter.

In this time we wilve in it is not easy to have a hotel

Asteria have made the best of this and everything is done with the guests in mind
it was a great break for me and my wife just so we could have a nice night together and a great meal in our room
hope the world gets back to normal but i would say to people if you need a short break from home or just to get out from home then this is a great place to stay

OK, not really worth paying the price for SUITE!

While service and helpfulness of staff was fine, the room (suite) was not very good and not a value for money. It was outdated and likely to have bed bugs as we are (1 day later) coming up with bites. Suites should have better amenities, given that rooms below this category had sauna and nicely refurbished showers. We didn't even have a shower cubicle (instead a not so good corner bath) and arriving back to hotel to see our room at 1am meant that we couldn't be bothered to even complaint and just got on with it.
TV signal was terrible too.
The breakfast which was included was just OK, perhaps a greater variety of warm meals would have worked. We had to wait 30 min to receive a warm meal

It's the second stay for us, however this time we were given a not renovated room and we were apalled by the difference! I have to say, I was a little discusted by the state of the bathroom!
There is no ventilation or possibiliy to open a window in the bathroom, black joints between the tiles in the bath (no separate shower) , broken sink, all just looked very grubby and outdated. I expect better form a 4* hotel.
When I addressed the issue with reception I was told, that they were aware of this fact and that the rooms would be renovated sometime soon and that some had already been done. However, we were not offered a better room! And I couldn't help the feeling that because we didn't book direct this time, we got the grubbier room. Two years ago I booked direct and got a much better one, otherwise we would not have gone back!!
Also, there is a ventilation going on (if your room faces in that direction) until about midnight that can disturb the light sleeper.
On the positive side, the food is still very good!

Nice Hotel close to Venray town

Asteria hotel is a warm & friendly place...relaxing and an excellent restaurant menu. The staff are extremely well trained & nothing is too much trouble. It has a pleasant outside dining area. This was our second visit we enjoyed our stay so much in 2017.

Good hotel, clean and easily accessible, next to the motorway. In the room we could hear the traffic, but it was not disturbing. Unfortunately there are only twin rooms at the comfort level, no double rooms. This was unfortunate because usually our son of 2 yo sleeps between us. Staff is very friendly. Because we had to leave early, the lady at the reception immediately offered to make a breakfast pack for us. And even in that they were very flexible, with extra fruits, etc. The room itself was maybe a bit outdated, also the bathroom, but all was very clean and we had a pleasant stay.

Breakfast was fair-good. The Grapes Served with the fruit assortment weren't washed and had some mold on them, no attempt was made to remve the inedible ones from the good.

The in-room sauna is a very nice touch but feels too much like direct heat on the skin, a lot like just sitting in close proximity to space heaters so it wasn't very comfortable.

I frequently stay at the Asteria. I like the hotel, the staff and the location suits my work. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is the single beds in the rooms. I like a double bed as I am a restless sleeper and suggest that the hotel should have some regular rooms with double beds.

I enjoyed my 5 night stay (business) in the hotel. I don't speak any Dutch but had no difficulties as the staff (including the waiters) spoke excellent Englsh - there was even an English menu in the dining room. Food was good, kind of plain and \"solid\" rather than fancy or gourmet, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when travelling. Be aware that room service was not advertised, nor did it seem to be readily available. I thought prices were fair, considering it is the EEC and the Euro. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was 2 single beds rather than a double or queen/king which might be a disadvantage to some. Service was excellent. The location is safe and pleasant- and the hotel has a large outdoor terrace which would be great in good weather. Be aware that there is a McDonalds across the street. I frequently travel internationally on business and this was a pleasant mixture of old world charm and modern amenities.

Ligger en bit från centrum, nära motorvägen. Bra för övernattning om du behöver resa långt. En del trafikljud. Gratis parkering, fanns många platser, även ett par laddstationer (som kostar pengar). Finns en ok restaurang och lounge. Rummen va ok, golvmattan luktade konstigt men bortsett från det va allt ok. Personalen var trevlig.

Wir hatten die Buissness Suite gebucht, welche eine Grösse von 50 qm darstellen sollte ( nicht vorhanden ) Glühbirnen defekt, im Schlafzimmer sowie im Bad ! Den vorhandenen Föhn konnte man immer nur einige Sekunden benutzen dann schaltete er sich wieder aus, erst nach einer gewissen Zeit war er wieder funktionstüchtig ( bei langem Haar sehr lästig und nicht möglich sie vollständig zu trocknen bei Minustempersturen) Im Preis inbegriffen sollten ‚Leckereien‘ vorhanden sein, waren jedoch nicht auffindbar!! Die Heizung machte einen höllischen Lärm und dies Tag & NACHT ! Somit haben wir für unseren Valentinsaufenthalt einen sehr hohen Preis bezahlt, PREIS LEISTUNG absolut nicht gerechtfertigt !!!

Vi havde bestilt et dobbeltværelse med en ekstra opredning. Den havde de dog glemt, men var hurtig til at få det bragt i orden.
På trods af fin lydisolerening lykkedes det alligevel at blive vækket af råbende gæster på gangen midt om natten...
Men alt i alt en god oplevelse😊
