It's a strange place, cheap, but then the rooms had 6 different adverts in for upsells (buy these: pillows, soaps, room service... Etc). There was then another sign saying how good delivery wasn't allowed. Nothing is in English, which is fine, it's Holland, but worth being aware if you're visiting.

Stayed at this place for 3 days and honestly the first day i arrived was horrible, no charger no pin to change my simcard, but the staff were so kind to help me out with what i needed.
Honestly this is the place to be if you are staying around deurne, will be back definitely at this place in the near future.

Duty room on arrival

Room had some biscuits and paper with dirty carpets when we arrived. No soap in shower. No shower door so the bathroom floor gets wet. Shower pressure was terrible low pressure. When complained at reception felt like they are blaming us instead and the lady was very rude and asked us to just go in the end like we were wrong to complain. She handed me a small soap bottle and said that is enough for 3 people to share and didn’t give any more when asked. Felt insulted. They advertise as a nice clean modern hotel in pictures. The reception area is nice but the rooms are very old and broken handles and not clean. They wanted to enter the room in the night when my family was asleep to check. I told them it’s night now please check in the morning as they will get disturbed and they were blaming me instead . Very unhappy with our stay and strongly do not recommend this hotel. Terrible stay.

Really nice hotel with easy parking. The staff was very helpful and we liked the dining on site. One thing to note is the rooms do not have AC, so keep the windows open and use the fan, they work quite well. We did opt for the breakfast each morning, but quickly found it was not worth the price. Skip it and head out to town instead. Bike rental was very easy, we would stay again.

A beautiful hotel with lovely restaurant. The hotel was clean & the suite was really spacious with a view of the monastery and the nearby woodlands. This was great as we were travelling with children so the separate sleeping areas was a plus. The hotel was quiet and the staff very friendly & helpful.

Very pleasantly surprised as the photos on the website didn’t do this hotel justice. The grounds, decor and general standard was very high and staff all very professional. Our family room was an excellent size, with 2 bathrooms and a door between sleeping areas. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was some noise from other rooms but ear plugs solved that problem. Breakfast was simple but delicious and from service was very reasonably priced, easy to order via the app and great service.

A large room at the back of the hotel, basic but comfortable (similar to a UK Travelodge). We had mixed experiences at reception from friendly to austere - hence the average rating.

Positives - plenty of parking and a quiet hotel. We were visiting friends nearby and just needed a place to stay- so it suited our needs.

We loved the woodland area behind the hotel which was perfect for running.

Lovely hotel set in a lovely area and will definitely stay again. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Restaurant was also very good, but perhaps use hot plates so that the food stays hot longer but still very good food!

We stayed there for one night on the way from Amsterdam to Frankfurt. A uniquely shaped building with a unique history (former monastery and then a nursing home) with a church attached to the building, it has a pretty large outside territory and is surrounded by the woods with hiking trails. We had two rooms with two toilets, a mini fridge, a coffee maker and a kettle in the room. We also were lucky to have a one-of-a kind large balcony.
The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was great! Definitely recommend!

P.S. important note- this hotel doesn’t have AC in rooms (this is typical for many parts of Europe). That was not a problem for us but if it’s important for you and it’s summer outside - this place might not be for you.

Great experience and beautiful hotel and grounds. Was definitely worth it. Only slightly dissapponting element is that if you broufht food with you, due to COVID-19, they only let you eat it in your room and no where else leading to extra unwanted smells when you slept

Nice hotel. Clean and well presented. Room was very small, with me not being able to sit on the chair at the desk. I am on the large side but I think others would struggle too. Was quiet and peaceful, which is probably something to do with it’s past as a monastery.

Neat concept; beautiful surroundings.

The hotel is huge, or at least seems huge given its layout. We managed to find the chapel and took a quick look inside: very beautiful. A very interesting place for a hotel.

Service was good. The room runs a little cold due to single-glazed windows, but he radiators work well and quickly.

The restaurant was decent, though perhaps someone overpriced for the quality and portion size (standard for a hotel, though, I suppose).

Quite an old place but nice setting. Room a good size but bathroom a bit mouldy, also no tea or coffee in room and breakfast expensive, no aircon but a fan is supplied. About a 20 min walk to railway station which is not bad, staff friendly to.

I am reticent to give this review as I booked the hotel on both star rating and guest reviews.4*it is not, not close to being even 3, but as it gets so many good reviews I am confused.Arrived 8.30pm first impression was I was walking into an asylum, very austere reception and receptionist more into talking to a wandering old guy than sorting me. Eventually got her attention, I was then told there was no restaurant or bar on Wednesday (maybe the Hotels.com fault as they claim it is on their website) so after a 6hr drive had to drive into town to find food. Room is nothing more than basic, but bed was clean there was no \"normal\" hotel items in the room, no information, no menu, no tea making facilities, no toiletries not even a pencil or a single piece of paper. Carpet stained and room generally tired. Went for breakfast following morning, facilities i had not seen night before were a little more amiable so I could why it potentially could get good reviews had the room been at least close to a 3* never mind 4. Breakfast was quite poor, cooked food was dried up, cold was limited. I think this is the worst experience I have had in a very long time I would have been quite happy had they advertised as a 2* had it been classed as a 3*I would have been disappointed but not gutted as I was expecting a 4*

Easy access, excellent value, edge of Deurne

A rather anonymous hotel (no sign) that offers excellent value. It was easy to find with a gps but would not be obvious without one. We stayed two nights. Reception staff was courteous and helpful. Check-in and -out was smooth and the hotel accepts credit cards. Our room was quiet, comfortable and spotless with modern decor. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast with good coffee, though the juice seemed a bit thin. There's lots of off-street parking. The hotel has a conference centre which was idle during our stay.

Looks like an old military hospital outside!

From the outside, this hotel looks really odd, but inside it couldn't be nicer. Great staff (though they had a problem with their printer), lovely room. Shower facility was odd but perfectly usable. Liked the way the heaters were all off and you did what you wanted with them but tuned them off afterwards. Nice breakfast but wasn't clear where it was being served.

Wonderful hotel with great grounds.

Stayed for a few nights as hotel is convenient for Floriade in Venlo. Very well done conversion of old convent. Very modern design while keeping the atmosphere. Rooms are very big for Europe with high ceilings. The restaurant was good. service is slow, but that is a Dutch thing. All restaurants in Holland are slow when it comes to ordering & serving food.

Wonderful grounds of the hotel have a small woodland, lake. Lots of bunnies. All very friendly. Nearby Deurne has some decent places to eat.

Staff was friendly and efficient. No problems at all. Would certainly stay again.

Wir fanden die Betten viel zu weich, haben dann aber die aufgelegten Matratzen entfernt und danach wunderbar geschlafen.
Das Restaurant hat uns auch gefallen, aber man kann auch gut in der Stadt essen gehen.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und konnte unsere Anliegen zufriedenstellend lösen.

- Es wurde kein Deutsch gesprochen.
- Die Sprache des Fernsehers war niederländisch und ließ sich nicht auf deutsch oder eine andere Sprache einstellen.
- Die Nachttischlampen sind nicht fest zusammengebaut und damit sehr wackelig.
- Die Heizkörper - vor allem im Badezimmer - sollten entlüftet werden, es gibt starke Strömungsgeräusche.
- Keine freien Steckdosen im Bereich der Nachttischschränke, zum Beispiel zum Laden eines Smartphone.
- Keine freie Steckdose am Tisch, zum Laden meines Laptop.
- Die Pappbecher bei der Kaffeemaschine haben einen starken Eigengeruch, ich habe daher den \"Zahnputzbecher\" genommen.
- Die Matratzen sind nur aufgelegt und verrutschen daher leicht.

Goed hotel en gemakkelijk te bereiken

De kamer was ruim en netjes. De matrassen waren prima en de badkamer was netjes en had een heerlijke warme douche. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en er was ruime keus. In het restaurant kan je goed eten.

Nie wieder!

Das Zimmer war mit Werbung für Hotelservices und das zugehörige Restaurant nebenan zugemüllt. Flyer um die Kussen zu kaufen, flyer für Essen vom Rtstaurant, Flyer um darauf hinzuweisen, dass Essens Lieferungen von anderen Rrstaurants untersagt ist. Zimmer war voller Schnaken und Spinnen. Teppich abgenutzt.

Ein sehr ordentliches Übernachtungshotel!!!
Sehr einfach eingerichtete Zimmer, alles da, was man braucht. Gute Betten, große, saubere Dusche.
Hotel nett eingerichtet.
Personal mit mäßigem Interesse an der Kundschaft.
Frühstück okay, aber mit 18,50€ pro Person teuer.

Mooie locatie, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt, maar helaas ook hier de kwaal van de Fletcher-keten: gedateerde voorzieningen en achterstallig onderhoud, zoals enkel glas in kozijnen die wel een lik verf kunnen gebruiken en één van de twee liften is buiten gebruik.
Desondanks een plezierig verblijf gehad.

Buena ubicación para acceder en coche. Dispone de un gran aparcamiento gratuito. La zona es muy tranquila. El edificio está muy bien conservado. Las habitaciones son amplias, incluido el baño, y tienen todo lo necesario para pasar una agradable estancia. Destacar la limpieza de las instalaciones y la amabilidad del personal de recepción.

Mooi gerestaureerd pand met hier en daar nog de sfeer van het klooster, met binnentuin. Bedden zijn prima! De kapel zag er ook prachtig uit. In de avond heerlijk gegeten bij Duco’s, kortom voor mij en mijn moeder een lekker weekendje weg!

Ein sehr schönes, ruhiges in der Nähe der Autobahn gelegenes Hotel in einem ehemaligen Kloster. Ein nettes Bistro, ein schönes Restaurant, eine Bar mit Billardtisch und so weiter.

Alles rundum gelungen. Das Abendessen im Bistro war gut, das Frühstück nach 2 Wochen in England eine wahre Freude und das Zimmer sehr geräumig, gut und liebevoll eingerichtet und absolut sauber.

Vloerbedekking in de kamer was vies, alles nogal verouderd en gedateerd, alsof je een verzorgings- of bejaardentehuis binnenkomt.
De bedden, twee stuks, die tegenover elkaar staan, zijn heel zacht en voelde nogal doorgelegen aan.
Kamer dicht bij de lift, die nogal lawaaiig is in de avond/nacht.
Badkamer schoon, maar geen haakje om iets op te hangen. Vervelender was de lage waterdruk waardoor douchen niet prettig is, en door de lage druk fluctueert de temperatuur enorm.
Tijdens mijn verblijf was het erg warm; de kamer heeft geen airco en je moet het maar doen met één kleine ventilator; al onvoldoende voor mij alleen, niet te doen indien je met twee op de kamer slaapt.
Kleine TV op een verkeerde plek; eigenlijk alleen mogelijk om te kijken als je op de rand van het 'verre' bed gaat zitten.
Het diner (tongfilet) was teleurstellend en niet vers. Ontbijt op zich prima, lekker brood, maar wel nogal beperkt in keuze.

Onbegrijpelijk dat dit hotel zulke goede reviews/hoge scores heeft gekregen.
