We did not feel we received a particulalry warm welcome. It was polite but no more than that. We had to ask the restaurant staff for things rather than being shown where to go and what to do. At breakfast on the first morning there were seven uncleared tables, but two staff just chatting to each other.

EV charger on site. Staff interference is minimal. Food is good in the restaurant. Room service is expensive. If booking for multiple days, then the staff does not clean up your room or restock the consumables, like toilet paper / Coffee etc. Also, they don't send it to you when informed but rather expect you to collect it at the front desk.

On a negative note didn't sleep well due to a few very rowdy guests upstairs. Staff were aware but didn't get quiet until after 12:30. Very disappointed that it wasn't stopped earlier. If you can book a room on first floor I would strongly recommend a stay here.

Perfect location

Not far from the motorway, this hotel was perfect for an overnight stay although we could easily have stayed for longer. Food was amazing. Service from start to finish was really friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Front staff was very helpful. Manager was not nice and did not want to assist when we needed to cancel our reservations. My husband stays at this hotel several times a year for work. This time I came to visit but it’s not an ideal location for a family. It’s next to a truck stop and there’s nothing around. We kindly asked to cancel as we were going to travel to another location which was quite far. Expedia was willing to cancel and the manager clearly refused. We lost our money on 2 rooms and they lost a good customer. The carpet was dirty, the fuse kept blowing when I plugged in my flat iron or hair dryer and the TV had nothing in English and was quite outdated. I do not recommend staying here.

Very handy location, close to motorway.

Room was beautiful and very, very large. Air con didn't appear to work although it made all the right noises (loudly!).
Pool was lovely.
Rather surprised to find we were charged €6 for some tap water in a jug and a further €3 for some mayonnaise and ketchup. Either this is a Dutch thing or a complete rip off!!

the hotel was clean. the staff were friendly. breakfast was great. just off the main road, but still quite. the pool was good, but the changing rooms were a little basic and opened out onto the pool directly meaning there was no privacy. overall a good hotel for a short stay.

Having stayed here two consecutive nights one was room 305 the other room115 both superior rooms with breakfast it is easy to see why its popular.
The room 305 we preferred as it was quieter ,plus shower was brilliant.
We ate in restaurant where the food was good & the waitress very pleasant & helpful.
Great surroundings,loved the multiple lampshades with their tree effects.

.No transport is provided which is very awkward especially as my husband has trouble walking .We therefore had to hire a car which we had no intention of doing.This was a nightmare for me having to drive on the righthand side in a torrential downpour.

Great hotel in nice little town of Asten.

Retired couple. Stayed 4 nights. Used as base for exploring WWII sites in this part of Holland. Initially shocked to see a huge truck park right next to the hotel. Had we booked into truckers' accommodation? Fortunately not. Quite separate from hotel and we never experienced any negatives from this (except the view as you approach the hotel). Asten proved to be a nice little town with a small number of restaurants (we used several). Hotel itself was modern and yet had a rustic charm due to excellent choice of decor and low lights/candles etc. Restaurant was excellent especially set menu (for price) with nice ambience and friendly staff (but see below). Room was quiet and warm. We did need extra bedding (which we got no problem) as we were a bit cold in bed the first night. Only downside of the room was the TV which seemed to be a 1st generation 4:3 format LCD set. Quite out of place in an otherwise well appointed room. Showers excellent. One apparent attraction of the hotel was the pool, spa and gym. But the spa (sauna and turkish bath) seemed a bit run down and not at all inviting. The pool was used for kids lessons until 1900 so no use for hotel guests. I am sure most business/leisure guests would want to use the pool at the end of the day before eating. This was not possible. Rather than the usual expensive breakfasts (why DO hotels do this?) we just had a coffee and roll which was excellent. We would stay again defintely.

What a gem. Near the highway on the way from Dortmund to Brugges. Asten was 1/2 way. From the front desk to the restaurant, fantastic service and surprisingly clean, roomy and comfortable. Even had a spa and pool. Loved it!

Sehr schlechter Empfang trotz Weihnachtlicher Stimmiung keiner einzige Erklärung auf Hollandisch Merkblatt in die Hand gedrückt dann gesagt das ist auf Englisch, wir haben mit zwei Kindern ein kaltes Zimmer bei - 5 Grad außen Temperatur bekommen im Erdgeschoss obwohl wir ein Tag vorher mit der Rezeption gesprochen haben und die uns ein sehr schönes Familezummer versprochen keine einzige Entschuldigung seitens des Hotels wir waren in vielen Best Western Hotel zuletzt in Italein aber wir sind einfach empört im 2 Stock haben Sie dann eine Party gemacht oder wir waren direkt unter dem Fitnessstudio unmöglich keine einzige Ruhe einfach nur Schade das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen wir emphelen es nicht!

Godt og rummeligt værelse. Dejligt rent. Super gode badefaciliteter ved pool til en pige på 4 år. Der er et lille børnebassin som var et hit. Fin sauna og dampbad. Vi brugte det som overnatning på vej hjem fra ferie.

Goed eten, vriendelijk personeel en alles schoon bijgehouden.

Mis alleen met 2 kleine kinderen en een kinderbadje een omkleedkussen, moest de kinderen op de grond aan- en uitkleden. Ook kan de wandelwagen daar niet komen dus 2 trappen met 2 kinderen en de zwemspullen is ook niet heel handig. Ook is het water erg koud..

Bij binnenkomst bij de receptie en in de gangen is het erg warm en dan zijn de deuren dicht?

Verder leuke voorzieningen, nette kamers en mooi restaurant met een leuke speelhoek.

Wij hebben een fijne tijd gehad!

We hadden een kamer geboekt met 4
1-persoonsbedden, we kregen een kamer met een tweepersoonsbed en een uitgeklapte slaapbank.
Gelukkig was housekeeping er nog en kregen we een extra bed. De \"airconditioning\" was zeer slecht, geen airco te noemen.Op de koudste stand was het net uit te houden in de kamer, de rest van het hotel was bloedheet. Ook maakte het klimaatsysteem mega kabaal waardoor we met oordoppen in moesten slapen
Echt mega minpunten !! Aangezien ik het hotel uitgekozen had om de bedden en de airco op de kamers.
Dus nooit meer dit hotel voor ons.

Als Zwischenstop prima, Wellness leider ein Fail

Hotel, Zimmer usw alles gut. Traurig war, dass wir den Wellness-Bereich als Buchungsgrund gewählt hatten und diesen leider nicht nutzen konnten/wollten wie gewünscht. Problem waren andere Gäste die in Unterwäsche und Badekleidung und teils ohne Handtuch in die Sauna gehen - leider keine Einzelfälle, sondern an unserem Tag der Normalfall. Für uns ein no-go. Auf Reklamation bei der Rezeption gab es weder einen Ausgleich, noch das Geld für die zuzahlungspflichtigen Bademäntel zurück. Schade

Sehr gutes Hotel

Wir waren 2 Tage im Toverland und dieses Hotel ist ca 25 Fahrminuten entfernt, es liegt direkt neben der Autobahn (man hört sie nicht!!). Für unsere Zwecke war es das perfekte Hotel, wir haben auch den Pool genutzt und die Kinder haben beim Check in einen Wasserball und Sandspielzeug geschenkt bekommen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, alles ist frisch und sauber. Auch das Zimmer war groß und wir hatten zu viert keine Platzprobleme. Wir können es empfehlen!!

Ikke varmekabler på badet, så badegulv var veldig kaldt. Ble tomt for varmtvann ene dagen. Badebasseng var kaldt, barnebassenget var samme temperatur som hovedbassenget, så litt for kaldt for de minste. Ellers nydelig frokost, bra service, lett med parkering, stort og fint rom. Alt i alt veldig fornøyd.

mooie kamer met een terras, schoon, goed onderhouden, het babybedje waar ik om vroeg stond klaar in de kamer voor onze aankomst, vriendelijke service, geweldig zwembad met een peuterbad voor kinderen en een jacuzzi. Geweldige airconditioning, goede prijs voor de omstandigheden. het enige nadeel is het ontbreken van een koelkast in de kamer op zulke warme dagen. Maar het hele verblijf in dit hotel beschouw ik als zeer geslaagd, bedankt en we zullen er zeker weer komen.
