Requested late checkout on the phone before staying, was accepted and told 2PM was perfect.
I was woken at 8am by the TV making noise and then showing a bright-white logo, turned it off and it switched back on, i had to wait 5 mins before the TV would allow me to turn it off, meaning I was now fully awake.
When I finally managed to go to sleep again, I was then awoken by a staff member banging FURIOUSLY hard on the door. It turns out the night staff had failed to informed the day-staff of my late checkout. This is an inappropriate way to wake someone compared to calling the hotel phone, and inappropriate due to the lack of handover.
I have slept incredibly poorly and am frustrated I have paid full-cost for the room. I am now travelling home on little sleep, truly a trip-ruining event.

This is our 3rd time to the Bastion for the Graspop Metal Meeting festival. When I booked last November, I asked for the same room we stayed in the last time. A rep from the hotel said thry would try to give us that room. However, upon checking in the rep even stated my request and I said yes I wanted the same room as last time. She gave me a room in the middle of the hall, instead of a corner room like I had before previously. This room/area was super noisy and people were smoking in the rooms all around our room. This is a non smoking hotel as far as I know. But didnot seem to matter everyone was smoking setting off the smoke detector across the hall from us. I do not like cigarette smoke at all. I was very unimpressed!

If you have work on outskirts of eindhoven. This is right on the highway. Good alternative to van der walk which is right across the road but 30% costlier

The first problem is the very large, very slow Prison Gate to get in. It is, in a word, disturbing.
Second, my room door rattled the entire time. It seemed, if anything happened in the hallway, the door would rattle like someone was trying to get in. Like an air pressure problem coupled with a poorly made door. And this went on all night. Kept me up.
Then, I never got a receipt. I get not printing to save paper, but it wasn't even emailed. Nothing.

A decent hotel experience close to the HTC.
It's very difficult and inconvenient to figure out how to get into the hotel. You need to hit a button in the center of the car gate, your card will not open the gate door. It's a hotel not a fortress, this was needlessly complex and made an otherwise pleasant stay a little bit frustrating. You shouldn't have to interact with a human being just to get close to the hotel.
The beds were soft and comfortable, but wobbly in a way that you can easily fall off when you're sitting on them. They could have bought a better bed frame.

The Bastion was a fantastic hotel. It has lots of free parking, a small gym and a fridge in the room. It is a huge hotel room with a great shower, the biggest we have ever seen in Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we go to Graspop Metal Meeting next year;)

Excellent hotel and very well placed for Eindhoven and the airport. The food in the restaurant was very good. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. My only criticism is the lack of a double bed. All the rooms seem to have only 2 larger-than-normal single beds.

Bar and restaurant very overpriced 5.60 euro for a small beer and 4.90 euro for malibu and 2.70 euro for a small bottle of 7 up also burger 16 euros other than that hotel great location close to highway but not much noise. There is a field next to the hotel it had rabbits and cows in it. Staff are very friendly and polite hotel very clean taxis very dear we got one to the van de valk which is 3 min drive and cost 8 euros great stay would highly recommend we went over for a wedding

Room was on 12th floor but was noisy. Elevator could be heard running most of the night, noisy HVAC system and lots of noise echoing down the corridors due to lack of carpeting and poor door fitments.

This is the third time I have stayed in this hotel. It’s lovely and modern at a very good price and is only about 2 years old. Friendly English speaking staff, free bottles of water each day, a pod coffee machine in the bedroom, fridge with small freeze compartment, fabulous shower, comfy beds, safe and flat wall mounted tv.
Free parking or a bus into Eindhoven a couple of mins walk away. The only drawback is that there isn’t any local shops nearby to buy bits and bobs.

Hotel and staff were excellent throughout our stay. Staff were able to tell us where places were. Room was spotless and very comfortable. The stay was a stop over en-route to Germany. Not having been to Eindhoven before I chose the hotel for transport links and quality of rooms. Took a taxi into town and did the tour of the Bottle Distillery - Mark was the very attentive and knowledgeable host.

The hotel is pretty new and very modern. My room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. I was on the 7th floor and had a nice view - there is a nature area immediately next to the hotel and I could see several Scottish highland cattle wandering around enjoying themselves. The staff all spoke excellent english and were helpful, polite and friendly. The restaurant served good food and had flexible hours. The location relative to Eindhoven was very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel!
