Friendly staff that were happy to help. However our stay was not a good one. Lots of external noise during my stay. Room very basic and curtains did not fully cover the windows. I was not informed of roadworks that commenced during the stay. Had a laundry collection with trolleys being loaded and unloaded at 5AM for almost an hour one of the mornings.

Emailed hotel requesting a twin room, did not even get response, got a double room! Location was perfect for me as we were there for one night and were meeting friends that were staying 4 mins walk away. Felt the price was a bit steep for what it offered, looked quite dated and there was quite a bit of dust in the room (sockets, noticed as i plugged my phone to charge, wasnt looking for it). Interior/entrance quite unwelcoming and needs a lick of paint. It did the job for me as i needed location, but quite steep in price with no real facilities...stayed on Saturday night so it was not a good night sleep as i could hear the music (until the early hours) from what i assumed was a club near by.

Worst hotel ever. When we checked in and tried to enter the elevator, it didn't work with our room card and staff told us, to carry our luggage up the stairs. We arrived in our room and it was very disgusting. There was dust on everything, looked like it wasn't cleaned for months. Bathroom wasn't cleaned too. Also, we ordered room with AC and it wasn't there.

So we complained to the staff and they relocated us to another room. No more dust, but not very clean either. There wasn't AC again and we complained again.

Finally, after about 1.5 hours from check in, we got to our final room. AC was there, but it was very loud. The manager told us, that he will bring our new room card to our new room, but he didn't, we had to go get it ourselves.

We purchased package with free breakfast, but the staff told us at check out, that we need to pay for it. I had to show them the reservation to make them believe me.

Very unprofessional hotel, if you want to have peaceful stay at Eindhoven, definitely choose another hotel.

Poor level of cleanliness in bedrooms. Faulty electrics - hair dryer blew up in my hand when trying to dry hair. Damaged bulb in lamp gave electric shock to staff who tried to fix it. No house keeping so beds not made or fresh towels etc.

The location of the hotel is very, very good, near the central zone.
The cleaning isn't good, the hygiene conditions leave much to be desired, the rooms are not well insulated from each other, the furniture in the room is dirty and damaged.

Good hotel, last minute booking

Being caught up in the public transport cancellations caused by Storm Eunice I got stuck in Eindhoven and had to book accommodation last minute. This hotel was the best option I could find. Walking distance from the station. The room is comfortable and the breakfast was really good.

very high price for a shabby room.
Location is quite ok and directly in the city center.
Enough parking in front of the hotel.
€230,- for 1 night in a hotel like this is NOT DONE.
When i opened the bed, i found long red hairs in the bed.
When i pulled away the sheet of the pillow, it was completely yellow from sweaty former guests.
Also the room was only 14m2. for a price of €230,- you expect to receive some quality, unfortunately this was eveything but comfortable.
The lady at the reception was more than helpfull and understanding, unfortunately there was no internal solution.
She did want to check for another hotel but i declined this and decided to drive back home at 01:00 in the morning, where i now arrived at 03:00.
before leaving, she asked me if i wanted to give the hotel a second chance next time I am in Eindhoven. I will think about it but with this many hotels in the city, there is a small chance that I will return.this has been one of the worst hotel experiences I had.

The location is the best feature of the hotel, and it is scrupulously clean. The staff are mixed - some really nice (I found out the nicest one was actually the front house manager) some really not nice, not interested and rude. This kind of spoiled my impression of the hotel, and I gave them plenty of opportunities to impress me.

I stayed only one night, in a single room, facing the street in front. Felt like I was at Fawlty Towers in the 70's. VERY basic even for a 3 star hotel. Even though I put the heating on max, I felt cold throughout the night, because of the old and poorly isolated huge window. Odd toilet.

Good location, central, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Let down by the rooms. The bathrooms are rather cramped, with no shelves or hooks to hang things or store toiletries, etc. The mattresses were super soft and worn, and the rooms were generally looking a bit outdated. Nothing bad, and I enjoyed my visit to Eindhoven, but I couldn't really recommend the Sandton for anything other than its convenient location.

Basic hotel meeting my needs

Basic 3* hotel which is quite dated furnishings wise. Rooms were noisy with other guests returning late and noise from the dated plumbing. Great location onlly 100 yards from the main bars so very popular with young guests, Nice bar and restaurant although I did not have breakfasts.

Had to ask several times for additional towels - clean towels sufficient for one person left, despite there being two guests booked into double room! Tea mugs and water glasses not washed on some occasions. Management apologetic but seemed unable to rectify problems.

Good location. Helpful staff, especially when checking in. Room was a bit cramped, though it was nice to have a bit of balcony. There was construction going on in the floor above so was constantly noisy as hammering and drilling was going on; this was especially annoying as it would start around 7am.

It was a very spacious room, close to the centre of Eindhoven, basically a straight line from the train station (about 10 minutes) and not even difficult with a sizable suitcase! Staff were friendly and there was a tv in my room with lots of channels! I had a very comfortable stay! I would stay here again. walkable distance for me to go to PSV!

We loved this hotel. Yes, there were extensive renovations going on when we stayed but they did not have any effect on our stay.
The hotel is close to the centre and was brilliant in that it was just a short walk to many restaurants and bars. The Glow festival was on when we stayed - a short walk to see all the great lights.
Our room was at the back of the hotel so there was no street noise. The bed was a wonderful king size.
This hotel has a great offer.. if you do not require your room to be cleaned, hang the sign outside your room door and you are gifted a free drink from the bar- up to 5 euro.

This was a basic hotel and I didn't realise you didn't get tea/coffee in your room,bed was comfortable.
The shower was slippery so I asked for a mat to overcome the problem which they did provide but told me I would have to pay for it which I refused found that very strange surely nowdays the safety of the customers should be most important.

The worst part is the mattress they have. The springs literally poke your back. Very uncomfortable bed I would say. The area is very nice, central. The breakfast is okay although do not expect any variety if you are staying for a week. Exactly same items everyday. The reception is helpful. Can not justify the price I paid for this hotel.

Booked a nights stay with some friends on a euro trip, didn't realise it was kings day until we arrived. Was a great party! We dropped the bags off and went out. The room was clean bright and spacious, the shower was fine. the location was just 2 minutes walk from the end of the main strip of bars so can't fault location, although it was the opposite side of town centre from the trainstation so took 20mins by foot. We didn't have breakfast but I did buy 3 bottles of water from reception for something daft like 9 euros and the snacks weren't cheap either so buy them elsewhere. Staff seemed friendly. perfectly good budget hotel.

I had a pleasant stay here. The hotel is a good reflection of the culture of Eindhoven. Only downside I would say was that the furnishings could do with a few touch ups. My view was also of a building site, but thats not exactly their fault. A stones throw from the bottom of the main high street, very close proximity to the nightlife, yet far enough that you wouldn't be disturbed by the noise.

We found our room to be very cold when we arrived and the fan not working but we were swopped immediately into a room close by which in fact turned out to be a better room. Very comfortable bed and cosy light duvet.
It's all pretty basic but perfectly adequate. Simple touches like a hook on the back of the small bathroom door would be an improvement but it was all very clean and I would stay there again. Its good that there was somewhere to park for 15 euros a day but remember that the day goes from noon to noon so work out what you really need - there are meters outside the front too. Its really not far from anywhere so I would say its a good location for museums and shopping alike.

Decent hotel but noisy

Depending on which level and direction your hotel room is facing the evaluation may vary significantly. I had a room on facing the front street. Extremely noisy especially on the weekends - a nightclub is just located outside the hotel and is open on Sunday morning until 4 am ! During the week the nightclub is less of a problem, but then one can hear the neighbor snore through the walls.... Not sure what is worst. Old CRT TV, few power outlets to charge a laptop, but room was overall clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall not a bad hotel, if you are lucky to get room not facing the front street or are at least a couple floors up.

Stayed at the Sandton recently and found the staff friendly, extremely helpful and efficient. They made my stay at the Sandton a really positive experience. Providing information and maps of the city, giving detailed up to date local bus and train times, even putting my milk in their fridge to keep it cool! If you arrive by train you'd be better walking to the Sandton...it's a 10-15 mins walk straight through town, a taxi takes longer (20 mins) as the centre of town is traffic free.

Worse than a flee bitten hostel in Afghanistan

Ok so choose it as it stated pets were fine and on price no mention of a surcharge of 25 euros per night extra for pets!! This effectively doubled the price parking although surcharge was stated 15 euros a night is pretty excessive car park was empty. So to be hit with 130 euros u weren't expecting upon check in started the stay badly. We had booked a double room where told that none left so they upgraded us to a comfort twin. This was not an upgrade as it mnt me and my wife had to sleep in separate beds. The only difference was ac which didn't work!! Beds some of the most uncomfortable we have slept on mattress very old and no strength left in the springs staining on mattress viable through the sheet. No soap or toilet paper in the bathroom had to o to reception to get some! Upon check out no one at desk although supposed to be 24 hrs had to spend ten minutes looking for someone to et us out of the car park found him asleep in the bar. Never written a review before but this hotel so bad I felt I had to.

Great Budget Hotel

Located near the heart of Eindhoven city centre you are only a few minutes walk from local bars, restaurants, shops, the market, supermarkets.

The staff are extremely helpful, I can't say this enough. Whether morning, evening or night time they were always friendly and able to help with questions about local entertainment, businesses or just leaving your key at reception whilst out for the day/night.

I had a room facing the street, they use traditional keys which is fine but the door number tag is very bulky hence me often leaving it at reception. From my window I had a view of the local businesses, a museum, a clock tower and another business which had bells that would ring a tune out at certain times of the day.

The room itself was a good size, the bed was comfortable and soft. Because the hotel is located in the centre you get noise at night, unfortunately even with the window shut and the air vents closed if someone is walking in the street talking loud, you will hear it. I guess it depends on what type of sleeper you are. If there when the weather is warm, the room will get very warm which is fine when you can have the window and vents open, at night not so much.

For the price I paid (it's is extremely cheap when booked a month earlier, I unfortunately could not) I would have expect similar things that I would have found in other hotels that charged my price, a small refrigeration unit, a safe for personal belongings ect.

A good hotel for the booked early price.

The pictures and description make it look/sound a lot more glamorous than it is. Very basic, below average. I stayed in a double deluxe and it was half the size of most rooms in the same price range. VPN was blocked on the wifi, and reception couldn't find me and iron over a 12 hour period!

Very soft bed that left me with backache.
Was in a room with door to shared outdoor terrace that couldn't be locked, so I would have felt very vulnerable if I'd been there alone.
Nice friendly staff and Eindhoven itself was a delight.

When I got into my room half of the ceiling lights weren't working but when the reception man came up to take a look there was no offer to repair them right then so the room was dingy and ill-lit. I would have given the hotle a better review if they had attended to this.

Sandton Hotel - basic hotel in Eindhoven

The Sandton Hotel is located reasonably close to the center of Eindhoven with a good Italian restaurant next door. Don't expect grand surroundings or rooms because this hotel doesn't have either. It does, however, offer basic and clean accommodation where the two most important things in many travellers' minds - a good bed and a warm shower - are delivered. Some of the rooms are cramped by comparison to others. In summary, this is a good hotel for a one-night stopover but I wouldn't stay there for much longer.

Sandson - good location

Just a few 100 yards from Stratums End (for younger people) and 5 minutes walk from the Markt (for people like me) and Holland Casino. Room was very small and I wish they would stop shouting 'house cleaning' so early in the morning (10 am). But staff was friendly so no realy complaints.

Sandton Hotel, Small but very well designed and clean

I was very pleased with the hotel was very clean, well designed, staff were very helpful. My only critism was that the parking was 12EUROS a night were the parking outside was free!! The Eindhoven tax was also too much for visitors which of course has nothing to do with the hotel! Definitely recommend it

A conveniently-located hotel in Eindhoven city centre, just a short walk from many shops and restaurants. Room comfortable but breakfast not great, and charged extra (with city tax).
