People were lovely and the hotel was super convenient to the Museum of Art, where I was in an exhibition (only 3 blocks!).
The room was fine and the view was phenomenal, but the street noise was hard to block out. No water pressure in the shower.
Also very close to truly amazing restaurants - in fact, I did not have even a mediocre meal in Mazatlán - delicious and sophisticated!
I would have chosen another hotel but I managed to get a last-minute deal - frankly, no complaints - it was fine and Mazatlán is fabulous with lots of arts and culture.

This is a good hotel right In front of the Malecón it's a few blocks away from the cathedral and the historical center. the staff is friendly and check in is simple and easy. This hotel is in older so its nothing fancy but its kept up well. Its good for the price and the ocean view.

This is the best location in town. Make absolute certain you get an ocean view room. Mexico is loud. With a very convenient location comes a lot of noise. People love blaring their car stereos all hours of the night. Make certain that you bring ear plugs. Wonderful view of the ocean from your room and a beach directly across the street. The hotel won't loan you beach towels for the beach. You will need to bring your own.

The A/C worked well and it is right across the street to the Boardwalk (Malecon). You can walk safely on the Malecon 24 hours a day. It was great.

This is a great place to stay in Mazatlan. It is close to everything. It is right on the beach. I loved just sitting on the balcony watching the waves. The hotel is old and is showing signs of wear. The cable TV system kept freezing making it impossible to watch. The place is basic, but it is well cared for. Absolutely bring ear plugs. It is not the hotel's fault that locals like to BLAST music when they drive and could care less if others are sleeping. It is a nice place and simply the best location.

Extremely noisy in the summer with Malecón auto and pedestrian traffic, water temperature is warm ~85 degrees, crowds settle down after October. Winter is great time to visit, however sea water is a bit cooler. Bed was great, if you like a firm mattress, internet, ok, not great! Access relatively easy to many parts of the city. Great experience at Hotel Siesta!

We were their over New Years so partying is expected! Room was nice, toilet paper very soft & no fragrance!!! No window opening to outside, If you open up windows to hallway people can look in 😜. Patio on roof needs cushions on chairs. More people might hang out then. Nice unused space! Rooms are small, no dressers to put clothes in! Hard to unpack. There is a desk for computer or whatever. Very clean. Hotel has a unique atmosphere with the decorating! Nice restaurant on the plaza!

This is a nice little hotel located right on the Malecon. The view is fantastic as was the people watching from my sea view room. The street noise however can be a bit much. That said, I was there on Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos celebrations. The staff were very friendly especially Martin at reception and Juan the doorman. They were quick to help when I needed anything. and had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The pool was beautifully kept, the room was clean and comfortable, but could use a bit of updating. Air conditioning worked great.

Ive been coming here for years. I love this hotel but I’m getting too old to tolerate the excessive noise inside and outside of the hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location for beach and old town. I could spend hours on the balcony enjoying the ocean views, people on the malecon and the mayhem in the streets. However, when I want to go inside to relax, I can’t as the noise come right through the sliding doors, the walls, and windows. It’s so loud that it seems like the source of the noise is right inside the room. Ear plugs may help some people but I’m out. Thanks for the good memories La Siesta!

On-site bar and restaurant with a nice happy hour. The place has loads of charm and character, but if you're looking for sleek and modern, look elsewhere.

We loved Hotel La Siesta. It has a beautiful atrium with a nice restaurant. We ate breakfast there every day. The seaside rooms are amazing! Huge patio doors open to a nice but small balcony so close to the sea wall and ocean. The hotel is in the historic district. I don't think you could get a room any closer to the ocean!

I have stayed at this hotel for every trip I have made to Mazatlan since 2009. I always enjoy to quaint atmosphere of the hotel and the good food available in the area. You are within walking distance to several plaza's and a big market to shop in. The view is great if you reserve an ocean view room but the only problem is the noise coming off the street below. They love to play their radios loud.

Easy walk to the restaurants at Plaza Machado and the Centro Historico, plus lots of restaurants and bars along the malecon right by the place. Rooms are basic, and a little quirky, but you have everything you need. Really enjoyed our stay.

La Siesta - A Difficult Place to have a Siesta!
The hotel is located right across the street from the beach which is wonderful. However, it is a noisy area full of vehicles playing very loud music as the ride down the street at all hours of the night.
