The property is a perfect location, a relaxing retreat. We loved that the grounds were clean, spacious- lots of places to sit peacefully or with a group, the ocean views are beautiful. The staff & interns were kind & hospitable. It was walking distance to small shops, cafes, restaurants & Cloud 9. Totally recommend.

The room was clean and the staff were freindly. The lighting in the room was terrible, often requiring the use of the lights on our phones. The water supply was not always available. The toilet would not flush properly. There was lukewarm water in the showers - no hot water. The wifi was almost non existent.
The grounds and layout were wonderful, however, guests prefer confortable rooms over the external views etc

Positive aspects:
- beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset
- decent food options in the restaurant
- easy check in
Negatives:
- no shampoo or soap and these were not delivered even after I’ve asked
- bad insulation. I could hear people next room.
- the pool opens only at 8 am. As someone who wakes up with sunrise I wish there was more flexibility
- entering the sea from here is very rough.
- I also had stains all over my bedding upon checking in and had to ask to have my bedding changed.

It was a wonderful place to stay the amenities were great the food was pretty good The service was typical Filipino or as a restaurant go they could do a little improvements on that. But it was really a great place to stay Mike the owner is very nice I talked to him for a while and everything that was great. We stayed in room 213 which is the best room there It has a balcony that overlooks the ocean the pool restaurant and beautiful sunrise and sunset

It’s the biggest resort property I have been in siargao. Lots of open spaces to lounge in with a spectacular view of the ocean. All instagrammable. The location of the pool is perfect! It’s like being in the ocean waters. There is even a parking space available within the premises.
We stayed both in the ocean view and garden view rooms. If you’re big on waking up with the view of the sea, ocean view is for you. But the garden view rooms are not bad at all since the sprawling garden is beautiful as well. Personally, I like the garden view room better as they are more spacious and more updated.
Service is great too! The staff are courteous and attend to your needs well. They also have a restaurant which serves delicious and affordable food. Not to mention the view of the ocean as you dine!
Will definitely stay here again!

Hotel amenities such as soap, shampoo, coffee totally SUCKED in this hotel. Lighting in rooms and bathroom are poor. Fixtures (such as toilet flush) are defective or poorly maintained. Wifi in the room practically nonexistent.

This is the best resort to stay at it's quiet and has a great view of the waves and offshore islands, it's got an amazing garden and pool and chill out areas. Food is great too and having a generator during the current blackout on Siargao made us book this resort. Will be back for sure

The resort has really nice views of sunset every day, and it's so close to Cloud 9 so it's easy to surf. Check-in was really awkward and one of the front desk staff members seems to not want to be bothered, but housekeeping, security, and the restaurant staff are all friendly and helpful. The chill area along the water has a nice breeze and really nice to hang out for sunset.

Very nice place. Exactly as described.

The room was recently renovated/painted during lockdown; spacious and in nice condition. Comfy bed. Outdoor balcony/verandah for the room is nice.

Bathroom is a little dated in the configuration, but is large and comfortable and also newly painted etc.

The main draw is the grounds and beach side location/view. The gardens are lovely and well maintained, with a large well kept lawn overlooking the water.

The restaurant building is nice, open and airy. The staff were very attentive (I have seen other reviews saying the staff are not good, but during my stay there were many staff and they were all helpful, friendly and responsive). Food was good.

A few minutes walk to the main surfing area.
Overall: we were very happy with our stay. Many thanks Ocean 101!

We had an amazing stay at this oceanfront hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The location is perfect - walking distance to the main surfing beach, restaurants, and stores. The hotel rooms and grounds are well maintained. The best thing is the rates are reasonable considering everything I've mentioned. My husband and I would certainly stay here again

Other reviews are correct. The property has the best view of cloud 9. It's unbeatable. The rooms are very basic. We had a room with no exhaust for the toilet. Not even small window or exhaust fan. Never seen any toilet like that. Staff needs proper training. They are busy chatting or dancing rather than being attentive with guests/customer at the restaurant. They only work hard whenever the manager is around. The resort has a lot of potential, just need renovation and staff training.

beautiful property right next to cloud 9! easy walk or scooter ride into town (20 or 5 minutes respective) excellent and reasonably priced food and drink in the restaurant. right on the water! comfy bed, hot water a rare treat in the philippines, and 4 pillows!!!!! first time i have seen 2 pillows per guest here! we are hostel people and this hotel was an extravagant luxury for us. we truly enjoyed it

Beautifully situated by Cloud 9. The grounds are kept clean. Very quiet and has an amazing view of the water. Quite relaxing.
The restaurant has an amazing patio. The food however is not the greatest as well as the service. The workers are quite young and not the most attentive. The staff are quite gossipy. Some of the staff were unaware that I understood what some of them were saying and they were talking negatively about myself and other costumers.

Good - location was 3mins walk to Cloud 9, good view of the sea esp during sunrise, a little sunset view. Grounds were spacious, no street level noise. There's an in-house restaurant / bar.

Bad - thin walls, I booked the sea view deluxe room. I woke up at 3am my neighbors were packing and rushing to catch a boat, I could hear every knock and even footstep they made. Staff were generally unhelpful. Nobody offered to help with my bags as I was checking in and it was raining hard. The restaurant staff were un-attentive and didn't seem to have a service mindset. A neighboring table yelled at one waitress who was clearly avoiding customers. During checkout I had a prolonged back and forth with the cashier who said he didn't have change and didn't offer any solutions... out of frustration I said that I would be the one to walk to the resto to get change - and then he admitted that he did have change all this time, he just didn't want to use it and run out.

It's my third time to stay here, I come back because of the location. In the future, I'll just avoid eating in their resto and have zero expectations from their staff.

The property itself is superb. The location is perfect for those who love to surf because the surfing spot is just a minute walk. I love walking around the property because of its cleanliness. If you really want to relax, I highly recommend this place. The only disappointing about my stay - the staff in the restaurant. I stayed here on non peak days so there aren't too many guests. Some days, it's just my partner and I dining at the restaurant. I don't really mind that they are dancing to maybe kill time or singing on top of their lungs but please, prioritise your guests. They are not friendly, doesn't smile when approaching guests. They need a bit of training in customer service. One night, we decided to have dinner on the garden side of the restaurant. Suddenly it started raining so my partner and I hurriedly went inside to save our food from the rain. No one from the staff helped us. They were just watching us run back and forth to bring all our plates inside the restaurant. There were like 5-8 of them just sitting on the couch, chatting and using their phones. I have no problem with the other staff. The ones at the reception are friendly and helpful. To the management, please do some actions about this. Especially that you have guests from around the world. that kind of attitude from staff is very unsatisfactory for the overall performance/rating of the hotel.

The view, security and location was great. The food also was really good. Although it takes quite some time to be prepared so don’t be in a rush if you order. When it comes to the rooms. The walls are quite thin so you can hear your neighbor sometimes or the staff outside talking. The shower could be improved. The staff was nice although they forgot to book our van to the airport. I think they should do more efforts and be more service conscious regarding the needs of the clients. Maybe make available hair dryers for rent. Overall We would still come back. We just hope you take into account our comments. We would definitely recommend your place to our friends.

This place is the definition of a beach front vacation spot!! There’s no pool or jacuzzi, but you really don’t need one since you’re literally a couple steps away from the ocean. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms aren’t extravagant, but they have everything you need; a bed, shower, toilet, tv and most importantly, a good working air conditioning. I would definitely stay there again, and I would recommend this place to friends.

Pretty spartan room set up, nothing flash. The restaurant and views over the beach are top notch and there's a slack line and balance board to play with. Staff were friendly but this island life is not always that reliable. I organised for airport pick up which never showed up, I called the hotel and they said just get a cab? Good location close to cloud 9 and other waves but not close to town/pubs etc

What we didn’t like is how the reception staff especially the male manager who is there most days, had average customer service skills and would rather sit on there mobile phones and play games and watch shows/movies instead of making eye contact with their customers.

One of the best views of the beach and the sunset in siargao. The room is very clean. Very nice hammock by the sea. Restaurant serves delicious smoothie bowls. The only problem is the staff. Our smoothie “bowls” remained outside our room for the entire stay. Nobody bothered to get them despite being in plain sight. No toiletries available. It would have been nice to have a pool, too!

However the WiFi shouldn’t connnect most of the time
I was never told the front desk is closed at 10pm
I had no idea how to get my key at 2am
The maids left my door unlocked all day
I wasn’t at all pleased about that
And the restaurant servers need to be trained to go back to each table or make eye contact while cleaning another table
The food was good but one nite inside the restaurant area. I ordered a beer and was given the menu
For 25 min I waited
No beer and no order taken
While servers were standing around
It’s not like they were busy working
So I got up and went to the Aussie s bar down the road and got my beer
This place needs some better supervision
But overall
I still liked it
I won’t be back to the island

Great location.

Stayed for 4 nights and the place was better than expected. Friendly staff and location is great, near Cloud nine and the room is clean. We stayed at the newer room and it was roomy. Beautiful sunset view. Transportation is readily available when needed. I will stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Nice View, Service Needs Improvement

When we first arrived, there were several staff at the front desk. We checked in and all they did was hand us our key. They did't say anything about the hotel amenities or give us information about our stay. I even had to ask her twice if we were done checking in. The hotel is about a 10 min tricycle ride from all the restaurants and stores. Some parts of the hotel looked run down although the view is amazing. Our kettle still had leftover water from the previous renters so we didn't use it for our coffee. Overall it was good enough to sleep in. We were out most of the day enjoying Siargao.

Pros : Has one of the best beach and sunset views along cloud 9, 10 min away by tricycle to the best restaurants in Siargao and has decent rooms. Our group got 3 rooms which were very clean with aircon and has big bathrooms. Staff were very helpful and nice...
Cons: The Honeymoon suite room needs updating particularly its toilet and bath.
