Arrived at Patrick's around 8. check in time is 2 but they let us in at 12 in our room. Staffs are all nice and helpful. The room is big and the comfy.

The room was dingy and dark and needs urgent upgrade. The ac was totally inadequate to cool the room.The bathroom was a real let down with ants crawling all over the sink and up the walls.
Not shampoo so had to buy some. Breakfast was overpriced and not at all good.
Easily the worst place I have stayed in on my trip to the Philippines.

My friends and I all agree that Patrick’s Resort is a magical place. The traditional Kubo style accommodations made the experience all that more unique in comparison to the other resorts in General Luna. This hideaway is situated right in front of this amazing beach nestled among an array of Philippine “tuk tuk” and modern style boats anchored in the shallows. The real treasure of this gem of a resort is the resort’s staff and family who shared a hospitality so genuine and generous that left our hearts full. It was a very nice stay and I hope to stay there again one day. Overall, the property is very beautiful. The air conditioning is a bit small for the room - takes a long time to cool it down. There is no electricity unless you are in the room - your room key activates electricity. So you cannot leave a phone charging or the air conditioning on. You start over with a hot room each time you return. There is also a nightclub next to the property so loud music continues until about midnight each night. None of these negative things bothered me, but I could see a lot of people being bothered which is why I mention - because other than that it was all quite excellent.

Hot water only worked one day. Had a rat living in the ceiling pooping on our stuff at night. Wild dogs howling and fighting on the property all hours... construction during the day on both sides of us. Didnt sleep much. They did have a nice view though.

Stayed thier 3 times . Never again. Totally property is run down. Disco next door every day boom boom. All late day till night. Things like towels so old. Its a great location just not worth it anymore so many nicer places. Its safe here. Hate to rate low. But you'll want the truth. Had to change room first day. No tvs . Many rooms no fans..why.second room ac worked but weak. Did not say anything as it needed to be changed window unit. If you are from usa. You need good aircond . It was not super hot. Just never cooled the room. Beach location is the only reason i chose again. Pay more get higher rated plenty of transport. I seen siargao inn on the beach. Looked clean and simple and nice

Patrick on the Beach is a truely unique experience. The staff was very helpful, the beach front property was amazing with, and the cabanas where absolutely delightful. My only complaint would be the loud music at night ( our cabana was far enough away, but still annoying at tmes) and the daily power outages. Niether one of these issues was the fault of Patrick's or the staff. Overall I would rate this place a 95 out 100. My fiance and I will definitly be back.

This is an amazing property and will always be my 1st choice on any further trips to Siargao. The beach front cottages/bungalows are on the minimalist side, but they are very comfortable and you have a wonderful view of the garden and ocean. Prices are great and they have a tremendously welcoming staff that I enjoyed chatting with every day. Food on site is really good and there is a very good bbq place next door. Also a very popular bar is a short walk away.

I enjoyed my stay at Patrick's until the last day. The room was nice. Family room with two bunk beds and two queen beds was perfect as we were two couples and three singles. Very close to the beach. Staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Helped us arrange island day tour and airport transfers. Location was good. Walking distance to main town and on the main strip. Quick tricycle ride to Cloud Nine surfing area. The only issue was on the last day I ordered a simple hamburger from the restaurant and had to wait one hour for it to be made. When it arrived the burger was extremely overcooked and was probably the worst (driest) burger I have ever had. Definitely not worth the wait or the 300 pesos they charged me for it. The restaurant was too busy and likely had no proper chef to ensure food was being prepared properly in a timely fashion. Other than that the resort was fine, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Near the water .
Paid extra 30.00 dollars a night for what I paid for the booking .
The photo of the cottage deceived us for what I paid for.
Will just spread the gospel about the Expedia and the resort they should communicate to each other about the charges before they use your company.

Location was amazing right on the beach. Dont expect luxury / but dont expect that in Siargao at all! This is a lovely little place right in the heart of the town / bathroom could have been better ie a flush on the toilet not water tub and bucket / but again this is normal here and there was hot water! All in all for the price etc it turned out to be one of our favorite places!

The place was good since it is located on the beach and it has huts so cozy and very comfortable to stay on while having a good site of the ocean. The food is good and costs reasonably. They only need to improve the condition of their rooms and the provisions of daily supply of toiletries and towels...the management wont initiate to change linens and towels or clean the rooms even if your stay would last for more than 3 days. The towels on the first day of stay would require a deposit. Should it not be included in the room cost already? Needs improvement also on staffs’ accommodating nature to make their clients feel fully welcome...but overall our stay in the resort was memorable and happy..

Our expectation was succeeded by far . The simple restaurant surprised us with top 5 star food quality. Starting with \"Mango Curry with chicken\" or German Pancake with fruit fillings. The Beach is fantastic, Surfing super, all sides are reachable by tricycle in minutes. Island hopping only minutes away and in the evening the never forgetting sunsets. We will go back for sure. For us it was a great choice on short notice. Thank you \"Patrick's on the Beach \" team.

Nice place to stay. Initially booked a room for 4 but had adjustments and ended up needing a room for 7 instead. There were no hassles adding the pax and they offered a different room with ni additional costs just the per head/per. Night rate.

No negative comments on them from me.

Much of what is advertised on the website is not available, e.g. surface excursions on the Island of Siargao or international phone calls; such things ought to be removed from the website. A pack of little dogs starts reliably and persistently to get noisy at 01:30-0200 am... The management might consider that guests may prefer to sleep unperturbed... The owner is absent - that is my explanation for the whole restaurant staff taking a daily \"lunch break\" from 01:30-0300 pm- never seen that anywhere else. Staff members are partying (?) in the area reserved for the guests... Oftentimes loud music has been played in the kitchen - I am not sure whether this will improve the overall quality of the output of the \"singing karaoke kitchen combo\"... In the evening the restaurant allegedly closes at 8 pm, but orders are not accepted anymore at 7:15 pm already. After having been turned away 2 times we quit and became regulars at \"Ronaldo's Restobar\" across the street. There is no security at the entry to the establishment, therefore everybody can enter unchallenged at will. The roof of our thatched hut was not tight and the mirror in the bathroom was almost blind upon arrival. The establishment is not exactly providing value for money - in my humble opinion it is overpriced. We have asked where we can find \"Bingo tricycle rental\" or the local tourist office - of course the receptionist could not answer these basic questions... I don't recommend the place and I won't return.

Unfriendly and Rude Hotel Staff

Communication - as simple as making arrangements for airport transfer was such a hassle. It took hours before I received a response from the hotel.
Arrival - when we arrived, no one, not even a security guard, welcomed us. You'd be clueless who to approach because the staff didn't wear any uniform and/or name tags. Also, we weren't offered any welcome drinks as promised but that's not that important.
Restaurant service - it was very disappointing to see the blatant rudeness of the staff. One waitress wasn't able to get all orders correctly and later on, we could hear her arguing and blaming the others inside the kitchen. None of them came over to apologize.
Hotel personnel - they were understaffed and lack formal training on customer service. The receptionist was all over the place. Very disorganized.
Security- the owner doesn't care about the safety of the guests at all.
Amenities - very slow wi-fi connection, there was no television, a lightbulb was missing and the room was not well-maintained.
Value for money - if you could find other places to stay in, do so.

Intruder alert!

Don't stay here. At 5:30am someone entered our bungalo with a key... then closed the door and ran.. we were so afraid after that experience. Staff couldn't explain who it was as they only had the other key. Not safe at all!

The worst ever !

Had us wait for three hours to tell us that they did not have our reservation in their computer system! I have made more than 100 reservation with Expedia and I had never encounter such outright lie. The German owner (Patrick ?) claimed that May be because of bad weather, they did not get the email from Expedia!! I did not know that email travels in airplane! While we were waiting three other people were given the same non sense and were rejected with no room. At 4 pm Mr. Patrick tells us that he has a bunk bed ready for us in a huge auditorium type of room! I rejected that. Then he offers the “manager room” to us that is a super ugly, dirty room with no blanket, no towels, probably infested with all kinds of bugs!! I rejected that as well. Hired a tricycle under the rain, looked for room again and was lucky enough that at 5 pm (after a 5 hours saga and waiting with Patrik!) found a decent room and spent my last night in there. Patrik at the beach is a dirty, absolutely run down place that Expedia should really not list them. They are an absolute embarrassment for such a great operation for Expedia. The man claims that it is Expedia who did not contact him, while I was showing him the print out of my fully paid one night reservation through Expedia. This was truly a hellish experience that was shared by at least three other people that I witnessed while I was there. NEVER AGAIN!!

Website is not accurate/upfront about resort. This is a very rustic hotel on the beach. Stayed 5 nights/6 days. Our room wasn't cleaned once. Hotel staff was just okay and not very helpful. Extremely slow service at the restaurant. Almost non-existent wifi. Very loud, lots of kids screaming and running around. Beach is okay. Turns into a swamp at low tide. Luckily Siargao was fun to explore and there were good beaches and restaurants to explore. Would not recommend this place. Good rum though
