This property goes above and beyond expectations. The location is \"challenging\" at first to get to, but once you figure it out is easy peezy! Plenty of parking for hotel guests. Staff is super nice and does their best with english, but ALWAYS tries with a smile. The property itself is BEAUTIFUL! The view is stunning! Weddings do happen almost daily, BUT with the door shut it isn't disturbing, PLUS you get fireworks show. Definitely worth the tiny drive from Naples to stay in a nicer, cheaper, and all around better hotel.

We went there in the early september and stayed in Room 301. The travel to the location isn't easy and the taxis can get expensive (when they scam you). The location and the view is breathtaking. Eating breakfast on the terrace with the morning sun looking over Miseno, Baccoli and the Golf of Pozzuoli is quite an experience. But this comes at a price. Rentig a car is basically a must. It's a 15 minute walk down the hill to the busstation and the roads aren't built for pedestrians. We discovered Amicar and it helped with our Mobility issues. You can also order a shuttle which costs significantly less than taxis. Everyday of our stay we had weddings, which made us feel out of place in our hotel. The staff handeled it good and were nice and helpful. The room was clean, but the internet didn't work in the room. There was no space to put things in the bathroom, not even a toiletroll holder. But all in all it's a good hotel and if you're travelling with a car I can recommend a stay.

I don’t normally write reviews but I was blown away by the staff at Cala Moresca. Helpful, polite, nothing was too much for them all!

Breakfast is delicious and the food in the restaurant is to die for!

Set in a stunning location, the views from the hotel are breathtaking. If you’re looking for a busy all inclusive resort this is NOT for you…if you’re looking for class, less hassle and huddle and quality surroundings then this is for you!

Hotel Cala Moresca was the perfect place to spend the last night of our vacation in Italy. A gorgeous view, from the top of a hill with water on 3 sides, seen perfectly from the pool. A nice, comfortable room, and breakfast included. So relaxing.

Very nice property and grounds. Check in staff was kurt but fine. We had read that the hotel catered to weddings and the hotel did not disappoint. Two of the 3 nights had weddings, with no good way to navigate to your room without having to walk through dining area/bar being consimed by the wedding guests. One night we were redirected to another enterance and told we had to move parking spots to accommodate wedding guests. Music being played loud until midnight or so, fireworks blasting around then also and not being able to use the dining area was not very accommodating. They should try and separate the wedding venue from the other guest IMO. Another issue we had was there were no blankets or comforters for our bed which was weird for such a high class hotel.

The things we liked about this hotel were, the morning breakfast staff and food were very good. The view from this hotel was priceless and like nothing we have ever seen. The room was clean, bathroom also. (A micro wave would be a nice touch to add to the rooms)

We enjoyed our stay but a few of the concerns mentioned should be looked at to make the stay more enjoyable for guests not there for the weddings.

The hotel is beautiful. It has the most amazing views and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is spotlessly clean and the grounds are immaculate. The beach, bars and restaurants are about a 15 minute walk away but we found it a bit quiet. We didn't go to Bacoli town as we only had a couple of days as a taster to Italy. Will definitely go back and stay at Cala Moresca.

I had a wonderful stay at Cala Moresca, and I would definitely stay again. I booked a sea view room and it did not disappoint! The hotel and the room were absolutely stunning and the rooms have built-in Bluetooth speakers (loved this!). The team of people operating the hotel were kind and accommodating.

Outstanding property! Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Room was impressive size. Only complaint was that the only trash can was very small and in the bathroom. The breakfast was tops! Even better than the Hilton Garden Inn! Be warned though, the drive to the hotel is not for the faint of heart. But the view from the hotel is breathtaking! Would definitely stay there again!

My wife and I stayed at Cala Moresca for our honeymoon, and had a fabulous time.
The room was very clean with a daily maid service. It had all the amenities we needed - tv, minibar, etc. The room had a spacious balcony with amazing views which overlooked the beach and the marina, and also the sunset.
The hotel restaurant was excellent. We ate twice there during our stay. The food was lovely, and we were very impressed by the waiter/ maitre de who went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our evening. The food was also very reasonably priced.
Breakfast was also great with a fantastic choice of continental, bacon, scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit, croissants, and cakes.
The swimming pool was nice and clean. A little bar offered snacks, drinks and ice creams.
We also took advantage of the relaxation terrace which had a sauna, solarium, and hot room. They were too hot to use given the weather but we took advantage of the hot tub which gave us the amazing views over the beach and bay. You do have to reserve which ensures that it’s exclusive and private.
Overall we had such a brilliant time and was not disappointed. In fact the hotel, amenities, and friendly staff exceeded our expectations.
The only thing I would advise anyone looking to stay is the the hotel is on a hill, which may be challenging for some. There is however a shuttle bus down to the beach and back up three times a day.
We would definitely recommend the hotel, and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Booked this hotel as I was hoping for a bit of tranquility, however this is definitely a Wedding hotel. Every day was a wedding event with loud music and a crowd – so not exactly a relaxing get-away.
Staff was very professional however not too friendly. And despite low occupancy, had to pay for an upgrade for a room with a decent view (which considering the loudness I’d expect the hotel to try and make my stay a bit more pleasant). Rooms are a bit outdated and should be a bit modernized.
Location is definitely great with beautiful views.

Beautiful setting let down by the rude staff

This place has the one of the most privileged locations I’ve seen and amazing restaurant and restaurant staff ( a special mention to Micheal ) who made our stay and the use of the restaurant nightly an absolute pleasure.. HOWEVER ! The overall experience was massively let down by the extremely rude women behind reception who not only continually ignored our saying the phone in our room did not work but also never answered the hotel main line every time I tried calling on that .. Most importantly my partner was shouted at for having to go to reception to get the key for our room (which had they have answered the phone we would not have done ) being told to get out we have a wedding on justdid it for me .. no excuses for that .. this is also a major issue with this venue, they mainly cater for weddings so most nights you will have loud music ect but more importantly you are left feeling somewhat second rate and in the way .. there quite a few other issues all surrounding the general staffing any there attitude but like I say the veiw was first class and the restaurant staff In the evening were superb

We're missing water from our room, in the bathroom only shower from the ceiling, which makes a bit of a challenge to wash hair only.

Second time here and will be back - nice way to finish holiday after the busy Amalfi coast.
Nice rooftop terrace with spa facilities and quiet swimming pool, except on Saturday.
Everything was very clean, staff work hard keeping all areas spotless - except the hot-tub which could do with a water and filter change.
We were lazy and ate in restaurant both nights and was good food, with excellent service and well priced.

Amazing views and rooftop spa

The surrounding views and rooftop spa (sauna and jacuzzi) make this hotel what it is. Unfortunately the pool was closed and doesn't open til 1st June which I didnt realise, the pool area looks really nice and would have mad our stay a lot better. The room itself is spacious but getting a little dated now. Breakfast is suffice, cereals and pastries with fruit...not much hot food. And as others have mentioned there was a wedding there every night but the staff were still good and attentive to our requests I found. Tight roads leading upto the hotel but not too bad and worth it for the views.

If you manage to find your way here, do yourself a favor and stay for a couple of nights. This place is absolutely gorgeous; its actually a popular wedding destination. The rooftop deck and spa are marvelous with views that are beyond compare. Plus, both restaurants are world class.

This is one of the most beautiful places in southern Italy. And certainly a amazing beautiful view. They gave us a room with a balcony and waking up to that view is now one of my favorite memories. The resort is gorgeous, the staff is so pleasant and helpful. They assisted us the whole trip with taxis and really helped with our pick up from the naples airport to ensure we arrived even with last minute travel delays. The location is perfect, Bacoli is a great town with great places and people and it is very convenient to Naples even by public transportation. The breakfast is complimentary and delicious! I will miss my cappuccinos while sitting looking at this view but I come back every year thats how much i love it here. Thank you so so much to all staff at the Cala Moresca!

Lovely hotel with amazing views. Well worth checking out the jacuzzi on the roof. Only issue was the Executive room with double + 1 single bed is at the back of the hotel and doesn't have a terrace or views (except the air conditioning units). Not close to Naples and of you do not come by car, forget it.

Hotel is elegant with beautiful rooms and restaurants with wonderful views of Mt. Vesuvio and the surrounding landscape. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the service provided by Migel was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel, it's definitely worth the extra drive from Naples.

The hotel had a wedding every night which made it impossible to sleep, our room was directly above the bar and the music was so loud the floor vibrated. On 2 nights fireworks were let off directly in front of our room. The breakfast was pathetic, it consisted mainly of cakes, the grey scrambled egg was next to the bacon and therefore they shared the same utensils which was a major issue for vegetarians. My wife cut her foot and when I asked reception for a plaster they said they did not have any and I would need to go to pharmacist. Is it not a legal requirement for a hotel to have a first aid kit? When I booked the hotel I emailed to say I was booking the hotel stay for my birthday but the hotel never acknowledged it was my birthday and to add insult to injury the hotel restaurant was closed on my birthday for another wedding which they only told us about that evening, which made it impossible to arrange another suitable restaurant. The reception referred us to another restaurant which was a very poor substitute with the effect that they ruined the whole reason for booking this hotel.

This hotel is a wedding venue. Hotel guests are treated as secondary. Al a carte restaurant never opened to guests just for wedding. Bar was closed when wedding finished usually between 10.30 and 11pm.
Hotel staff run the hotel to suit staff not to cater for guests. Never use again.

Nice hotel on a hill

A very good hotel in Bacoli

Narrow 2-way road to location. May need to reverse for oncoming vehicles.

But the hill location provides beautiful view over the Mediterranean sea.

Breakfast is basic continental.

Daily Weddings at the hotel create some inconvenience for guests since lounge & dinning areas are all used.

Staff were fantastic - particularly Michela- who was very helpful to my family during our 5 nights stay in September 2018.

This hotel should specify on its website that they hold daily weddings and that over 50% of the hotel including one of its bars, restaurants & lounge area, including the sauna and spa would be completely off limits to other paying hotel guests.
That the fireworks let off in the evening taint the taste of the food.

The hotel staff were not interested in the other paying guests, the minibus ordered and paid for, for the return airport transfer did not turn up at the time confirmed in their email and when they were chased up, we were told they would be 45 mins late (this was after we had booked another mini bus and were on our way).

To say we were disappointed in our stay would be an understatement.

The rooms are disgusting. The photos online do not accurately represent the actual hotel itself. The hotel also says it is 12 miles from the airport when it is in fact 29 km. Do not stay here.

Lovely views and nice pool

Generally a nice hotel, plus points being the view and the pool, minus points the weddings on late and bathrooms could do with good scrub/bleach to remove dark grout etc.
We knew about the weddings from other reviews - do go on to around 1:30 am with live music and fireworks so just accept not going to sleep, we stayed GMT so only 12:30 am so no big deal for us as ate late and stayed up for drinks. The room are double glazed so with ear plugs you maybe able to sleep ok. We had no issues with staff directing us away from wedding function but did use back way out to pool etc as did not want to intrude.
The local town is bit scruffy but that's typical of Napoli area.
The hotel restaurant was average - nothing special but was handy so ate there both nights.
Staff all nice and friendly.
Views are outstanding especially sun setting from restaurant. We had sea views in both rooms which were nice.
Bit disappointed the hotel 'beach' on the peninsula was closed - apparently was landslide or something - was bit lost in translation. We had brought snorkels etc and planned to jump in off beach.
The beach below the hotel is nice enough - pretty busy with Italians - think lot of day trippers from city. The public part is v small - rest is private with paid entry.
All in all good for the price and would recommend

I gave this hotel a 2 star, only for its beautiful view, and lovely solarium on the 3rd floor, with a jacuzzi, steam room, salt room, sauna and tropical showers.

Other than that, the hotel is focusing on weddings, and are not focused on the actual people staying at the hotel.

They provided us with 4 bottles of body-wash, and no shampoo or conditioner, when we phoned in, they said they would bring it, we waited 30 minutes, no one came. When we tried calling them, they shut their lines. When they finally arrived, they brought us another bottle of body-wash.

The bed in the room, is basically two individual small beds put together, and it was very uncomfortable for couples.

But again, the view from the hotel is AMAZING. A plus from the weddings that happened on a daily basis while we were there, is that you get to see fire works every night.

We had a very lovely stay for 4 days 3 nights at the hotel. We had a double room with excellent sea view. We had a smooth check-in and so pleased with the way the hotel staff welcomed us. The hotel is 45 minutes away from the airport.We had a car hire so it's very convenient, it would be difficult to get public transport to/from the hotel. The hotel is modern, clean and has a nice panoramic view of the surrounding area(on top of the hill). The drive up/down is very tricky due to tight and zigzag road. The bed is very comfortable considering myself, husband and a 2 year old shared the bed. The room is clean(there's a lot of condensation on the glass door leading to the balcony). The hotel restaurant is a let down for us (the food is not good for our taste, it's closed on Sunday we arrive, so we have to drive and walk on the rain in Bacoli to find an open restaurant. I thought we will starve on my birthday (18th feb) but thanks God we found Garum restaurant and pizzeria and we had a meal there (seafood and pizza/calzone); the best food we had the entire holiday.
The hotel is convenient for us to see Pompeii ruins, the amazing Amalfi Coast and Napoli (if your ok to drive around the busy and chaotic Napoli- they have strange driving rules/no rules there.

Nice Hotel with beautiful views across the bay

During our stay there were wedding receptions every evening, which were a little loud, but the main issue was that they took up most of the hotel and bar areas. Unless outside, there were no areas inside to relax and have a drink before dinner.
The staff are very pleasant and provided some great assistance, even though we had a challenge with the language.

In Bacoli, Not Napoli.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in! The catch is that it's an hour from the city of Naples. You can't access the city Bacoli either unless you take a taxi because the hotel sits on a mountain. I don't know if you'd want to anyway. The breakfast at the hotel was the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Complimentary breakfast and that could rival any large chain hotel.

What a find! What a view! There is no question but we will be back to this beautiful hotel. The staff was great, the rooms beautiful, the food amazing! My only complaint is the pool closes at 6. However, that seems to be standard in Italy! Not sure why but there must be some national reason pools close early. I LOVED this hotel and was very sad to leave!

The standard room was ridiculously small I could not even open my suitcase on the floor None of the staff spoke English and would just walk away without caring The breakfast was average and they had a plug in one burner stove for you to cook your own egg which was dirty and a mess and barely worked The property was beautiful and there were many weddings and unfortunately when there was a wedding there there was zero attention paid to be other guests at the hotel

Chosen for its location with amazing views from Vesuvius, across Naples, Pozzuoli, Bacoli and Misenum and out to the islands. An area steeped in history from the early Greek settlement to Roman occupation. Don't miss the museum in the castle in Baia, the ruins at Cuma and the amphitheatre in Pozzuoli.

Very beautiful setting for a hotel. Staff very good. Late night wedding noise every night in September. About a half hour to airport, walking distance down to beach and restaurants, although walk back up may hinder some. Free breakfast was absolute best. Capuchino, espresso n croisants (cornettas) were the best we had in N or So. Italy. Eggs, omelettes to order, fresh fruit,etc. Views were stunning. Hike to light house close by. About 2 hrs to Amalfi coast, Positano by car. Delicious food and courteous staff made the place special enough to overlook noisy nights.

Four star hotel with five star service

Excellent location for a relaxing stay just a short walk down the hill to the beach, local cafes and bars. The hotel staff were all excellent, especially Salvadore and Joseph. The girls on reception all spoke good English and would do anything to make your stay better.
The food was of the highest standard and served in a very professional manner. Even if your waiter couldn't speak the best English you would end up with two or three of them around you and you would always end up getting what you wanted.
The rooms are all excellent and are cleaned daily, if you like a bit more space don't book a standard room as these are a bit small but still very good rooms.
If you want to travel around for a bit of sight seeing you will need a car but for the occasional trip, reception will organise a taxi at a very reasonable rate.
Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and certainly plan a return visit very soon.

Beautiful

This hotel is a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Area is beautiful, hotel grounds offer some of the best views in Italy with views to Mount Vesuvius and Ischia and its volcano. The hotel has extensive Grounds that allow you to explore part of Bacoli. Restaurant offers excellent seafood menu. Breakfast is delicious. Staff super nice. Will return soon.

Paradise in Bocali, Italy

When I got to the resort my heart felt to the ground. This amazing resort was on top of a mountain. The view were spectacular. You see the entire city Bocoli. There was two things I loved the most. One, the staff were so nice to us. Made us feel right at home. We got spoiled but more than anything we felt like family. Second, after traveling all over Europe, we just wanted to relax. This place was so quiet and peaceful. Also, because we went there in October (off season). We had the resort to our self. We were greateful to amazing weather. Another fabulous thing this resort has in this private beach/caves. This was one of my highlights. You can sit on the rocks and just enjoy the view. Priceless!
Highly recommend this place!

The rooms were clean, nice dinning room with good food but the hotel is starting to get run down. The wifi didn't work and there's was nothing to do on this resort. The beach is a far walk away and is very dirty and saw rats dieing from poison on the way. The restaurant was only open during certain times so if you wanted to get something to eat, you would have to walk down a steep hill to town. I wouldn't stay there again.

Great view, shame about the rest.

Hotel has an absolutely stunning view - get a room with a sea view to make the most of it. Unfortunately there is only one restaurant that had a very limited menu selection. Also, the hotel is a very popular wedding venue and out of the 7 nights we stayed there was a wedding on 6 of the nights. In this instance you (the guest) are requested to not walk though the main parts of the hotel and to enter and exit using the back door via the swimming pool.
The communal areas are really smart and recently renovated. Unfortunately despite waiting at the hotel bar for 15-20 minutes we were unable to find anyone to serve and had to get tap water from our room (no mini-bar) to drink whilst enjoying the view.
The room was good, clean and fresh. Air-con was great and essential in the 42deg heat! The bathroom was a bit dated but it was clean so no complaints there.
As I mentioned, by far and away the best thing about this hotel is the view which we just couldn't get enough of!

Not What We Expected!

Before coming to this hotel my friend made sure to email the hotel and ask how much a taxi would be and they said 50 euros. We got a taxi from the airport and the guy took an hour to get their and charged us 100 euros. We were most upset about the night audit agreeing with the driver to charge us that. But when we left to go back to the airport the hotels driver took only 25 mins and charged us 50 euros, we knew we got ripped off the first time(And that night audit was not on our side). Also when we had dinner one night at the hotel it took them 2 hours to bring our meals. When a party of 20 Italians came in after us and received everything they ordered before us. Also the staff does not help you with luggage at all, they stare at you while you struggle up many steps! Highly disappointing.

Italy tour!

Our stay was awesome. The hotel was really out side of Naples. Which was great cause Naples seems to be more than alittle scary. I highly recommend going to the Isles of Capri. And do the chair lift. Views to die for. Was unable to do the Blue Grotto though. Water levels where too high. So try to go early in the morning for that as we tried later in the afternoon.

Great views across Ocean

Views are amazing and probably the best you will find in bacoli area.. The hotel facilities were nice as it seems to be mainly aimed at catering for wedding receptions. The rooms have a balcony again with great views but the room was average. Bathroom smelt of urine due to old cistern missing lid, fan was loud enough to wake the neighbours other than that if you looking for a comfortable place to sleep it is suffice but rooms more on the 3 star side.

An amazing hotel

The hotel is beautiful and the staff went the extra mile. I forgot my cell phone charger and the concierge let me use her personal one. The hotel restaurant served well priced and delicious food. The hotel can be tough to get to however; the view alone is worth it.

Lovely hotel in great position.

We were really pleased with our choice of hotel, the views from our room and the dining room are great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I will say that although the situation of the hotel is great you really need a car, we didn't have one and used a taxi to get to and from the airport, arranged by the hotel, which worked really well, thank you Peppe, who also took and collected us to the train station on one occasion.

We like walking so we did walk to the rail station in Fusaro and around the lagoon and to the castle in Baia, but it is a long way. We did take a bus back from the station but hadn't a clue really where we were going as there are no timetables on the bus stops.

Our room was clean and comfortable, balcony with a sea view, all you need. The food was great, good quality and fresh, maybe a bit limiting if you don't like fish, there is only one non fish option for starter and main course on both the set menu and the al a Carte menu.

As we were there out of season there was not a lot of options to eat out unless we had a taxi into the nearest town, I am sure this isn't the case in the summer.

If I had any criticism of the hotel, there is not a lot of information about the area, bus times or routes etc. We would definitely return to this hotel if we go to that area again.

Hotel or event venue?

Stayed with a large group of family and friends for our daughter's wedding (not at Cala Moresca). The hotel cannot be faulted and all the staff were brilliant, especially Vivian.
HOWEVER!!! Every day of our stay coincided with a wedding and we were made to feel second class guests by the WEDDING PLANNER who was often rude and officious. We were asked to move from the bar almost every night.
Those responsible for the hotel were very apologetic and did all they could to compensate. We would definitely return but only when hotel v event issues have been resolved.

A truly magical place

A friend from Naples suggested I stay at Cala Moresca for a romantic getaway. The photos online were not that impressive, so I was not expecting much, but I trusted his advice. From he moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty of the people, views and ambience. I had just come from a 5 star hotel in Naples which was not a great experience, so I was so pleased to be at this wonderful gem. Here's my summary: We drove through the quant town which was full of colorful local life and up a very steep cliff to the top where the hotel is situated. The drive up to the hotel is a bit harrowing like typical roads on the area, but the hotel is perched on the cliff with a spectacular view so it's worth the drive. ; 2) Staff - the reception was exceptionally warm and helpful. They upgraded us to a room with a breathtaking sea and city view. 3) the room was light and airy with Mediterranean colors, a nice bed, small bathroom, great water pressure and plenty of storage space; 4) the breakfast was delicious and fresh 5) the beach area is incredible, spectacular private beach on the cliffside 5) the town is a place where locals come for vacation and parties so there will always be something fun at night and excellent authentic restaurants. The other guests were all Italian. No other Americans. I appreciated how authentic and special Cala Moresca is. I will be coming back here for much longer next time!!!

Outstanding location, but somewhat run down

Cala Moresca has a magnificant location, but seems to specialise in receptions rather than accommodation. The accommodation is rather spartan, the standard of food was not high, and staff varied from efficient and friendly to amiable but slack. Even the natural attractions were not fully available since the network of tracks over the headland, and down to Andrea's beach and restaurant are not in good condition. For the four days we were there, Andrea's was closed \"today,\" and the condition of the paths and tracks suggested that this had been the case for some time. The site is magnificent, but most other aspects of the establishment need some improvement.

Cala Moresca for Weddings, Baptisms and First Comm

We visited Cala Moresca for 3 night for a wedding which took over the entire hotel.
First the good:
With only something like 25 rooms the hotel was small enough that all our friends could stay and effectively take over the hotel, which made for a personal and relaxing stay.
The wedding breakfast was good, nicely presented, and good seafood.
The pool, while small, was sufficient to cool off in.
Spectacular views from the hotel.

The not so good:
Disappointed our sea view room only had a small window, no balcony.
Room, while clean, was old fashioned and could use a refurbishment.
The day after the wedding, the hotel hosted a First Communion - and we no longer seemed to be a priority for the staff.
Having to wear (buy) swimming hats in the pool.
The hotel arranges taxis to the airport. In typical Napolitan style the official mini bus picked us up, drove us 10 minutes down thr road, asked for payment, and transferred us into his nephews little Nissan Micra so that the youngster could take us the rest of the way to the airport. Who knows if he had a licence / insurance etc?

Overall - nice place for a wedding, but don't go expecting a quiet romantic break on your own.
