This hotel serves as a motel too. The property is dated, everything is old and smelly. Limited towels, pillows and covers. Too much noise outside. The room was extremely small, two people can not fit. The bed was loose and made a lot of noise.

Two things that I didn't like....no hot water and the AC didn't work at night. I asked twice at the front seat for someone to come and fix the AC, both times they told me it's fixed but it wasn't. It's too hot to sleep at night without AC. The housekeepers did a fantastic job.

I typically stay at another hotel in BAQ but there was a big football game so most of the rooms in the city were already booked. Staff and check in was great! Observed the following issues: Rooms very old. Ants in the room. Only a thin sheet on the bed and when I turned it back there was a big hair as if they had not changed the sheets. Room was in poor condition. Grout missing and tiles cracked in the bathroom and bathroom door would not close properly. No hot water in the shower. Breakfast was so so. I probably was expecting a lot more as the price was more than I typically pay at my usual hotel but I think they raised the price because of the football. Fortunately, I only stayed one night and checked into my normal hotel the next day. My normal 3 star hotel felt like a 5 star!

This is lower than a motel; it was dirty, no hot water and extremely expensive for the quality of the accommodation. Not sure why it had previously good reviews. One of the worse places I have stayed in a long time. The lights in the room are beyond aggressive. Breakfast was tasteless.

I have been here for exactly 3 hours now and could not wait to start writing my review. I stayed at this hotel 13 years ago when it was called Hotel Caribe Princess. I can say it has not changed one bit. The rooms are so outdated. The smell of age is in the air once you enter the room. From the 1980s furniture to a 19\"\" dumb tv. Bed as hard as a rock. They don't have a clue what customer service is. I ask for an additional towel 10 minutes after I entered the room and I just went and reminded the girl at the front desk for the third time that I was still waiting. She seems oblivious to what is going on. I'm using my translator with her so I know she understands. She just tells me it will be delivered to my room. Never was. Maybe she just doesn't care. As you can see in my photos it's 6 PM on Monday evening and the bar and restaurant is closed. In the other photo, you see the extent of the service that they provide for drinks in the lobby. I can fit more drinks in my refrigerator at home. no variety whatsoever. I read in someone else's review when you're inside your room. You can hear everything that goes on in the next room and down the hallway. Very true. They won't leave you two keys to the room so you can leave the air-conditioning on when you're away so when you come back, it's stifling hot in your room, so you have to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down. I guess they don't want to use any electric when you're not in the room.

Hard to beat the price for what you get.

It was good to have a covered parking garage to leave my car, it was a little tough getting in & out of it as it needs the desk clerk to activate the door. The room was clean, the toilet seat looked like it had been glued back together a few times, so that was odd. The bathroom window didn’t close all the way to seal, but that’s something I’ve experienced routinely in South & Central America. AC worked well. Shower had good water pressure. I slept well enough & the WiFi was plenty strong to watch a few videos on YouTube before shutting it down for the night. I don’t know if it was other guests or staff, but there was whistling in hallways & loud talking as early as 6am, so that wasn’t an ideal way to wakeup. All that being said, it’s hard to beat the price.

The water pump failed on my second last night (Sunday, Sept 10) and the property had no running water. They didn’t know when it would get fixed. No refund issued per the hotel, nor Expedia. Had to check out and go elsewhere for two nights. Never staying here again.

Worst experience, stay away.

When I booked it I requested a hotel near the airport, this hotel was either 45 or 60 minutes away. Too far. I lost resting time because I had an early connection flight. The refrigerator was nasty with mildew. The room was extremely hot. It took a long time for the room to get cool.

We wanted to stay in Barranquilla for the carnival & this hotel proved to be excellent. Near enough to walk to our seats each day but just far enough away to be quiet in the evenings.. Staff were very nice - particularly the manager who arranged everything we needed- even serving breakfast at 6.30 so that we could catch our flight. Nothing was too much trouble.
Let down a little by the bedrooms but they were comfortable & hotel was obviously undergoing improvements,

Super friendly staff. They gave me tips for walking in the area. The breakfast was good. Room was small but clean. They were in the middle of construction but had no problems with noise. Wifi sucked. That was the one negative but other than that a good experience. I don't speak great Spanish but staff was really patient and sweet with me.

Pleasant for a short stay

This is a hotel where local travelers from other towns stay when doing business in Barranquilla. It is, therefore, not a luxury spot, but everything was in working order, the bed was extremely comfortable, the a/c did its job beautifully. The staff was friendly at all times, helpful, attentive. If you are using Barranquilla as your home base for day trips to other parts of the Colombian Caribbean, you will be well served to stay at a hotel like this, where the savings will go a long way to covering your other adventures.

Overall a good hotel to stay, for the price you can't say nothing. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms are clean, but little. Have TV and air condition.

Hotel is in the center of the city so ideal for business trip.

For vacations better search hotel more in the north.

We were only there for 5 hours to rest between flights. The front desk clerk was very accommodating for our late night hours. He got us a cab for the morning and watched our luggage so we didn't have to haul it upstairs and back down again.

Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool war ebenfalls gut. Das Hotel inkl. Möbeln ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sonst hat alles gepasst und wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt in Barranquilla.

Very simple hotel. The cleaning was not great. A spider in the room when we checked in. Would not provide a towel for washing our hands. Ants in the bathroom, and the roof seemed like it was going to fall down any minute. The fridge smelled funny. Extremely noisy and bad noise isolation, could here every word some one where saying outside. The staff was alright, didn’t speak English and did not greet you when you came in. Be aware that you have to leave the key in the reception in order for it to be cleaned. Never experienced that before. In the «Hotels» ad it says every room should have a safe, it was not any there.
