The Sahil is in a great location as it’s not far from Fort, Colaba and Parel in South Mumbai.
The hotel itself has amazing service, food and the rooms are very comfortable with adequate space for 2 people per room.
The staff really make the stay memorable as they are very friendly, provide a great service and always happy to help.
We stayed here for 9 nights and the hotel was very accommodating.
The one point they do need to work on is controlling noise from other guests by enforcing hotel policies more strongly. A lot of other guests in the hotel at the time we stayed lack courtesy for others, which is not a fault of Sahil’s but they should deal with it better.
Guests talking on loud speaker while in the restaurant, large gatherings in the hallway outside rooms or guests from multiple rooms gathering in 1 and talking very loudly in the early hours of the morning is not acceptable and etiquette should be enforced by management more strongly!

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Suitability situated centrally, easy to get to all the tourist sites. Available taxis a close to the metro and railway stations.The staff at the hotel were welcoming. Our check in was smooth and quick. It would have been better if they do the necessary paperwork for both our booking on our first visit. This will save time on our second checkin. The housekeeping staff was always pleasant. The room was clean. The breakfast has limited variety but always fresh with options to meet your special diet needs. The food at their restaurant was always fresh and tasty. We were never disappointed with any of our choices at the restaurant. It must be noted that hotel guests enjoy at discounted rate at the in house restaurant. The staff are attentive and assist guest with local travels by arranging taxis. A special thank you to Luke for always being ready help with a smile. A big thank you to Vikas Parab who resolved minor issues professionally. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who want to be in central Mumbai

I would have given five stars all around but had to dock a star based on the breakfast experience. Seating area far too small for a hotel this size, breakfast offerings very average, no proper system for the omelette station (three times in a row the omelette I ordered was given away to other patrons)- on the whole, chaotic. Needs improvement for sure.

Great Location

Hotel was great for the price. Food was good as well. Great location and set back from the road so it’s much more quiet which if you’ve ever been to Mumbai you know the cars never stop honking. Centrally located to all the tourist things. Staff was extra friendly in giving directions getting cabs and Ubers, crossing the street and giving recommendations.

Room was very good value for money, bed was comfortable, shower was nice and room was spacious as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only slight criticism I’d have is that the location isn’t as tourist friendly as other hotels, however there are taxis always outside the hotel so it’s not much of an issue. Would happily stay here again, thank you!

Pleasant one night stay in Mumbai

Stayed for one night when in Mumbai on business as close to the office I was visiting. Check in and check out were both quick and staff very friendly. Room was a good size and clean and there was a good selection of drinks and snacks in minibar if you wanted them. Only issue I had was that the hotel does not appear on Google maps so was a little tricky to find. I think it was formally the Sangam Guest House. The hotel should really update this.

Were were here for 20 nights.
Good friendly staff. but unfortunately the carpet in the entire hotel are disgusting and dirty dirty dirty!...also saw on 2 occasions cockroaches on the breakfast buffet!...shower water pressure is low/normal. Had some technical issues with the room which the maintenance staff attended to straight away. Air conditioning in the whole hotel is very good. The room was very comfortable. Unfortunately the room and all the towels smell of nasty damp mould. No nice fragrance at all on the towels or the rooms. Staff are very courteous. The breakfast for the 20 nights we were there was ALWAYS the same!. They only had a south Indian menu although they will make eggs and sausages for you on request, but the buffet choice was always \"Idli and Sambhar\". The clientele in this hotel are predominately from within India and as such I think that's the reason for the south indian style buffet; but EVERY morning!!!!...we were sick of it and decided to eat out on a few occasions especially as we were gonna be there for 20 nights! if things improve we may stay again in march 2021, but will check again before we book!... hope the management/ owners are reading this and make the necessary improvements/ changes.

Hotel.com you should remove the Sahil hotel from your list it is embarrassing and it’s dirty, laundry service was horrible clothes were still damp. Hotel is run down needs maintenance. Service provided by employees was great, food was OK. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone rooms are tiny and hotel is noisy, view from windows is garbage and dirty buildings. Poor location!

Okay for a few days for a solo trip

I went expecting a decent hotel with good customer service but was disappointed. The hotel is very dated, rooms are very unclean with stains and marks over the walls. The cutlery used for breakfast almost 1in 3 still had marks and stains on it from previous use. Breakfast selection is poor. When I arrived, although a guest they were unable to provide WiFi service.

Stayed for one night before joining a tour. Room in good condition and comfortable. Staff friendly. Lots of confusion over whether I would need to change rooms for the tour - seemed disorganised. Breakfast not great - quite chaotic. For price it was only OK.

Wonderful Home from Home

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Mumbai so I could undertake extensive dental treatment. The staff at the Sahil Hotel cared for us with such warmth and kindness that we felt welcomed into a family. Situated in Mumbai Central, the railway station is close by and taxis are plentiful.
The rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the food is utterly delicious with an extensive blend of local and western foods on offer.
This is a medium sized hotel - not a large corporate chain where you are an anonymous number. We were treated with kindness, courtesy and grace, and I warmly recommend this hotel as a very pleasant place to stay.

Home away from home

The whole hotel is air conditioned. The staff are friendly and the bell hops especially are very helpful with local knowledge. The room was tidy and comfortable with mini bar and free water daily. The buffet breakfast has a mix of local dishes and western dishes which allows for experimenting with a safety net. The tricky part I found was going to the gym because you need your room key to get in but the key also powers the room where my wife would be, so yup I didn't go.

Beyond expectations

Excellent hotel when considering that it is 3-star. Clean and comfortable. Food is excellent as well, equivalent to fine dining, and not expensive. Staff is friendly. Finding a taxi is easy just outside the hotel. The only issue is that on one particular day food for room service took more than 1 hour to arrive, but this happened only once and happened during very heavy rain so maybe they were short of staff. Would definitely go again. Beyond expectations.

We booked a double bed and got 2 single beds pushed together, the set top box for cable tv was faulty we told front desk about it 1st night we were there, we were there for a six day stay. They sent up a guy who could not speak english, he didn't sort the problem, I spoke with front desk about the tv the next morning, they sent a guy with a spanner who couldn't speak english - this continued until 4th day of our stay.
I was pretty annoyed and went to front desk again and told them that they were not delivering us a satisfactory deal and made it clear to them that I felt their service was pathetic and that I wanted a double bed and a tv that worked properly.
The front desk were apologetic, and upgraded us, so after 4 days we finally got a double bed and cable tv that worked properly - the thing is we paid for 6 days - so in the end 30% of our stay was satisfactory.

Booked this stay for my parents (seniors). Their first stay ever in a hotel in India . Was very skeptical . But their feedback was very positive . Right from booking and payment through Expedia ( wonderful ) to the check in was very smooth . Their flight was delayed by 4 hours and I was worried about check in issues . But the hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. For a senior couple , they made the stay a pleasant experience . In fact, my father who was so anxious about lodging in a hotel internationally , now feels like he has some 101 lessons.

He sure would like to stay at the same hotel again

I would have given 5 stars for all. The main issue I see in this hotel is the way the bathroom glass slide doors are installed. It is not private when you are inside the bathroom. Some one standing outside the bathroom can see through the glass. That was not a good thing.

The staff is exceptionally great. Buffet was generous.

We were in Mumbai for medical treatment so were not concerned with tourist attractions.The hotel was a little away from the major roads, so traffic noise was slightly less outside hotel. In the rooms it was beautifully quiet. We followed advise from previous reviews and asked for a room near end of passage away from lift. They have 2 restaurants, one with Indian cuisine and the other western. We had the western and the food was great. On the down side the hotels.com site stated that we could request a shuttle from the airport at a fee. I tried requesting via their web site, then via their info e mail address, then via their reservations e mail address and got no response. It wasn't a major problem (apart from the high cost - Rs1300 as opposed to approx 300 on the hotels.com web site) as we took a pre-paid taxi. However I think this option should be removed from the web site. I would definitely stay there again.

We had 8 nights at this Hotel it is handy to every where and the taxis that sit at the Hotel are very reasonable stick to the Metered ones ,you can always tip more lol .
Meals were good and the breakfast is also every thing you would need , they do your eggs to order and nothing is a bother .
