As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we were greeted with what looked like alot of drug activity. We turned right out of the parking lot and drove off,. I cannot imagine that we would have been safe there overnight, nor would we have gotten adequate rest. We lost money, but I would not recommend this hotel.

The young lady who answered my knock on the door when I arrived exhausted at 11:25 p.m. was very nice when she checked me in, and she informed me that the ice machine was out of order, which didn't matter to me. I was happy that I had a bed to sleep in that night.

worst experience ever. Got there at five room had not been cleaned. Was asked to come back in a half hour took her an hour to clean it when I got into the room it was damp and musty. Smell of marijuana wafting outside.

The room was clean, but the bedroom floor was still wet from mopping hours later and the bathroom floor was sticky. I covered it in towels so as not to step on it. One of the all-white towels had an orange spot on it. I didn't even want to risk the shower floor at that point. Breakfast was supposed to be available in thr morning, but 15mins after the time the office was supposed to open (according to thee sign on the door) with breakfast, it was still locked and nobody was there. So I had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Room was filthy from the floors to the walls to the bathroom, air conditioner only blowed half cold and was constantly running to keep cool. Not to mention nonair flow in bathrooms! Had to wash feet before getting into bed as the floors were extremely dirty! Breakfast is advertised NO breakfast served! Coffee and cereal only. Also if your staying dor a family event was advised no visitors after 7pm.

Front desk attendant had an awful attitude she was rude and was very loud when informing me about how I needed to provide a $200 credit card deposit to cover damages if any I was told it was a hold and not a charge on credit card however credit card was charged $200 for what I'm not sure because there weren't any damages at check out time
Now I have to file an \" Un authorized charge\" claim with credit card company
I'LL NEVER BOOK WITH THAT PROPERTY AGAIN
You should let it be known that this property charges a $200 deposit at check in time

Overall, the stay was alright. It was a place to rest our head for three nights. When we forst arrived noone was in the office for 30min. I called, yelled and banged on things. Finally, my partner started banging on windows around office. Attendent finally woke up after about 30 min. By this time i was already on phone with Choice Hotels to change hotels. Luckily we did not have to resort to this, it would have been a hastle. Room was alright but could use a deep cleaning. Overall, it was just a place.

So right off the bat to level set the expectations. This is needles California. It’s a pretty small partially abandoned town. The room was very clean. The staff was very polite. Check in was super easy. However, the neighborhood was questionable. I had to walk my dog at night, and frankly it was a little scary, because of some of the people wandering around and a couple of the abandoned buildings, the walls are pretty thin. I could hear couples on both sides of me. Definitely meant to sleep and then go no table no chair. All of that is actually not so bad for what you pay and what you should expect. The part I didn’t like was that only a few rooms were dog friendly, which means there’s always a chance that when you get there, they won’t let you check in with your dog if those rooms happen to be occupied There was no area at all to walk my dog. I had to leave themotel grounds. And the floor was, warped and lifting where other dogs had peed so often.

There was no hot water. We complained that night, we were told to keep running the water, nothing. Same thing in the morning. It was obvious the plumbing was shot. And the sink faucet was prevented from turning to hot water. There was a quarter roll of toilet paper. That’s it. What a dump.

Charming, recently updated rooms. Easy checkin. Super clean. Comfortable bed. We did not make use of the refrigerator or microwave in the room, but a definite nice to have. Plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo in the bathroom. Would stay here again and highly recommend. Oh, and a light breakfast is included which we did not sample, but again, a very nice to have.

Definitely did not look like the pictures online. Hotel room was cramped (but the closet, ironically, was HUGE). Breakfast was not good. Towels old. Clean but no style or personality (walls white with no art, overhead light no lamps). Located in industrial part of city. Front desk clerk (who also doubled as housekeeper) was very, very pleasant. Overall clean, beds OK, TV small, no frills at all and just dated and sad looking.

I booked the room as a part of a Route 66 trip. The staff here were very friendly. I got in later than I expected but they seemed unphased by my after-dark arrival. Room was overall clean. Shower looked recently remodeled. Parts of Needles are a little rough looking but the area around the Econo Lodge was not.

Very close to Amtrak station. Went to Needles to visit grave of recently deceased friend. Manager was very helpful and nice.
AC in room did not work right. Had to prop windows open with shampoo bottles. Ceiling lights were harsh 5700k work lights not 2500k reddish living room lamps. Felt like I was in a garage all night. No hangers in closet and no dollar store nearby to buy any.

This is a great place to stay if traveling from Arizona into California! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient. The difference in gas prices in California are considerably higher than Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. If you stay here, you can cross the border to get the considerably cheaper gas both during your stay and upon your departure! Something small, but nice nonetheless!

They always have a coffee pot with snacks and cereal ready in The morning at 730, even though there is plenty of coffee in the room. It is a very mellow and safe place in Needles too. There is a nice ice machine outside too.

Do yourself a favor and don't stay in Needles. Keep driving. The econo lodge was as budget as they come, so I wasn't expecting much. But the stains on the coverlets and the shower leaking into the wall was pretty bad.

I would like to say that this was one of the cleanest rooms that I stayed on my cross country road trip from California to Illinois. The room was not only inviting but a quiet place to get some needed rest. The cooling unit worked very well & kept me cool all night despite the desert heat. The staff was very friendly & went the extra mile to make sure that my stay was the best it could be. The Hotels.com app crashed when I was booking the room so I booked the room again because I never got a confirmation on the first booking when the app crashed. The friendly young lady at the front desk told me to call Hotels.com when she noticed my double booking & that I was the only guest. I called Hotels.com customer service & together with the help of the front desk attendant they were able to cancel & refund me for the accidental double booking. Shout out to the nice & beautiful lady at the front desk as she was able to that extra mile. Thank you!

I am sure other rooms are nicer but the one next to the ice machine better to be avoided.
Walls are in bad condition, the towels were damp and filthy even the extra ones we asked for after complaining.
The bed sheet had blood stain on and the bed cover had grease mark on it.
The bathroom was flooded quickly after opening the tap.
And we couldn't get another room but we were too tired to leave.
We stayed but I couldn't get a minute of sleep as i could rest in these conditions.

The property is not on the highway but back in a remote area of town that was questionable in appearance. Room was dirty. Walls and floors visibly covered in grime. Shower was banged up. Shampoo bottles were refilled and used. Overall I was very disappointed especially for the price of the room.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean with a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Many places I stayed did not. There is ramps to roll your luggage in easily. The only thing the shower was cold couldn't get warm water and curtain could be longer as water got all over the floor and even into the bedroom. All in all it was a good stay.

Unsafe and unclean. Trim Inside door was removed so secondary lock was inoperable, fire alarm had been pulled out of the ceiling leaving wires exposed. When turning down 1 of 2 beds there was stained spots where some fluid had been, clearly the sheets weren’t changed. The second bed had a hanger made up in it. We slept in our clothes on top of bed with towels covering us. When we complained about the door and alarm (hadn’t yet unmade bed) we were told the management had just changed so they’d let maintenance know. No other rooms available in the town. I will not go back and recommend this property be removed from Hotels.com.

When driving into the Econo Lodge It was as it stated in its name. It did not seem there was enough parking although I did get a place on the lot. The outside is basic no pool no frills. it is a older building but it is presentable. We were assigned room 114 with 2 queen beds entering the room it was nice. the room was clean big with 2 beds a desk TV Single Serve coffee maker ice machine outside. Needles Temp was 117 and the Air Condition kept our room comfortable. No bugs clean towels, there seemed to be some people that are long term occupants but all were friendly. Our stay was one night and it was great for what it was.

I booked two rooms both with two queen beds. All four beds were dirty. Blood stains, paw prints, and burn holes. The employee told me they were just stained. In the bathroom the washcloth had black on it maybe makeup. I learned quickly this was a place rented by the hour. Was not a place safe for children nor clean. Will never stay here again.

TERRIBLE and scary!!! Cockroaches and sketchy guests who had the room a couple doors away. We booked through hotels.com but we left the hotel and didn't stay after all and the manager at the Econo Lodge did give us a refund. Still waiting to see if Hotels.com honors the refund request.

When I tried to check in the site manager said he is not contracted with hotels.com and does not have a website selection process as he's just getting the property up and run (change in ownership and property name). I had to call hotels.com and seek a refund and a different property to book.

Don’t stay here.

We booked through hotels.com but when we arrived the hotel said they don’t accept reservations on line and had to pay at the desk. Advertised as having continental breakfast but they didn’t provide that.
