This was a nice hotel. The property is a little tired but not enough to cause a problem.
Our room was very clean, big and comfortable.
TV worked, but had no English language channels.
One criticism would be no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
There was a safe for valuables in the room.
The hotel has a good pool and spa centre.
Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.
The area was nice and quite. There are about 4 restaurants right next to the hotel offering a good selection of menus.
We managed to park for free just outside the hotel, but spaces are limited. I believe parking in the hotel is approx 15 euros.
Overall a nice pleasant comfortable hotel.

A gorgeous hotel in the centre of a small town. It was initially difficult to find and locate the entrance to the underground car park but this turned out to be very convenient and totally safe. Check-in was easy but we were surprised that the best way to reach our room was by going out of the front of the hotel to re-enter by another door. This was not a problem and the lifts were good. The room was excellent, with a nice view of the town square. It was large with a king size bed, and a very nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was plentiful with a wide selection of hot and cold options. The spa was an added bonus. Overall, a superb hotel.

I had a perfect mini break!
I arrived utterly exhausted after a 12 hours journey and was immediately upgraded!
Facilities are excellent, the Spa was immaculate.
Food was delicious and generous.

The only negative was the need to invest in air conditioning.

The spa and breakfast exceeded the expectations. For the spa would have been nice to receive instructions for use at the beginning (for example, bring the towel from the room and at the end of your spa stay exchange it for a clean one).

There is parking available but not free. The staff did not make that clear. The parking spots are pretty small.

The only downside was the lack of clear communication from all staff.

Check-in was horrible. AFTER pulling into the parking garage entrance, there's a closed gate and a sign saying\"check in first\". After calling the front desk, we were grudgingly let into the garage \"for just a couple minutes\". That seemed rude -- not nearly enough time for us to unload and bring our luggage to the front desk. The hotel is at the end of a pedestrian street, so there's nowhere else to unload.
At the front desk we find that \"parking available\" is a big MAYBE. You're supposed (try to) to reserve parking when you reserve a room. But there's only a couple dozen spaces in the garage, not nearly enough for all the guests.
Front desk clerk rattled off the locations of 3 nearby parking lots but did not have maps.
Turns out our room was in a separate building, reached by going outside, turning left, door on the left a ways down, before the statue. Glad it didn't rain while we were here.
The location was fine for what we planned on doing, neighborhood and restaurants were good,

The facility is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is very good for visiting Clairvaux. The staff seemed friendly and tried to provide a good service. The restaurant food was good and the wait staff, although trying and working hard seemed a little confused - I think there were some internal misunderstandings about the hotel procedures among the staff.

A lovely well looked after hotel (seems to be part of the other town centre hotel) great room, apart from a dodgy window blind & noisy joists from the room above. There did seem to be a shortage of bar / restaurant staff - fabulous food (dinner for 1 was almost the same price as the room) & painfully slow.

The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Very accommodating. We stayed two nights in order to see Bastogne which was only about 25 min away. If we go back to the area to visit we'll be sure to stay at Hotel Koener!

Three properties are merging into one. The layout is confusing. We were never sure which hotel we were staying in or where to go to check out. That being said, it is a lovely property in a great location with fine restaurants within steps of the hotel. Laura, the manager for most of our stay worked very hard to help us through the property confusion. Her level of dedication and professionalism was quite impressive and made our stay very pleasant.

Great Escape

We stayed the weekend here at the charming hotel in the heart of the downtown in Clearvoux, Luxemburg. The room we had overlooked the main square and was very well appointed and kept. There are several good restaurants and site to see in the village and it's a wonderful escape from the busy holidays. We had some snow, but it was not an issue with the staff or the village to manage.

Hotel is right at the base of the castle in Clervaux, which is great. I included the breakfast in my stay. Breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the croissants. Huge Bathroom and my room was very spacious...clean crisp sheets on bed. Furniture was fine...Would have liked thicker towels...and room temp was too warm. I had to sleep with window open all night to cool it down. But otherwise, I would return here for sure.

A lovely hotel and fantastic staff. Yes, you're a bit of a captive audience in a small town, but the location was perfect for our motorbike trips around Luxembourg and the surrounding countries. The secure underground car park was perfect too.

Great, Attentive, Welcoming, Full of Fun Staff

Very Good Hotel right in the heart of the picturesque little town of Clervaux.
Great location for a self-indulgent, relaxed, pampering holiday, with plenty of ease and comfort.
The true Stars of the Hotel are the Staff. Competent but friendly, easy and full of Fun.
Kind of \"make yourself at home\" and will \"happily\" do the running around for you.
The other great thing is that within ten minutes of the hotel you have so much choice of
eateries, all offering good quality food if not very good.
For the more energetic folks the hills and woods around Clervaux offer plenty of opportunity for walks and exercise. Nordic walking is a favourite.
I personally recommend an ascent to the Benedictine Monastery on the hill above the town, walking through beautiful woodland and not too demanding. Peaceful, soulful and very tranquil. Then back down to town to pamper yourself again.
Castle and Museums on offer too, all within an easy walk or via lift.
Find out for yourself and indulge in the easy life. Great choice of beers!

The hotel is stylish. Breakfast buffet is good with plenty of space in the dining area. Our room was large but if you open the windows for fresh air the traffic noise is very loud. There is no other ventilation for your room. Beware that the temperature of the water in the showers can change suddenly from normal to very hot or cold and this could be a problem, particularly for children. A comfortable hotel.

Brasserie was een ramp, bijna 2u aan tafel, 42 min wachten op hoofdschotel na snel voorgerecht, personeel had geen oog voor onze tafel, 23 min gewacht voor afruimen, dan maar zelf de rekening gaan vragen. Op de koffie die ons als compensatie 45 min tevoor was 'beloofd' hebben wij niet meer gewacht, was het grondig beu.
Acoestische isolatie van kamer 306 is abominabel, alle buitengeluiden, de lift naast de kamer maar ook badkamer EN bedgeluiden van kamer 307 en erboven zijn te horen.
Douchekraan mag eens ontkalkt worden.

Ved ikke, hvordan dette hotel har fået 4 stjerner. Mit værelse var stort, men gammelt møblement, og badeværelset med rent, men gammelt interiør og kun et håndklæde. Måske jeg var i en gammel del af hotellet. Prisen var meget konkurrencedygtig, så på den måde er det ok. Personen i receptionen ved check-in var ikke specielt imødekommende - nærmest sur. Pænt hotel med lækkert Brasserie

Meget pænt ældre hotel med lækkert Brasserie tilknyttet. Det er dog meget stort og uoverskueligt at finde rundt i de snørklede mørke gange og trapper for at komme til værelserne. Som om hotellet er lagt sammen med flere bygninger igennem årene.
Personale super venligt. Ved check-in kunne vi godt have fået bedre vejledning til at finde rundt på hotellet.

Nette locatie, parkeergelegenheid is aanwezig. Indien vol wel lastig eruit te komen. Kamer was schoon. Hier en daar wel wat deurtjes die niet sluiten/half hangen van bv de koelkast. Dag vooraf gebeld of er een koffiezetapparaat op onze kamer zou staan. Was niet standaard bij onze kamer, bij aankomst stond die er wel 😁

Hotel ligt in het centrum van Clervaux. Makkelijk parkeren. Kamer was goed maar wel wat karig ingericht. Bed was goed en ook douche goed warm en voldoende water. Spectaculaire eetzaal, met ruim gesorteerd ontbijt. Prima uitvalsbasis om Luxemburg te verkennen.

Behulpzaamheid van personeel was over algemeen goed al had men wel veel moeite met organiseren.
Voor een 4-sterren hotel was het ondermaats. Geen airco, gecombineerde bad/douche waardoor je een behoorlijke instap hebt, slecht weglopende badafvoer waardoor je de afvoerstop uit de afvoer moet halen, op een van de dagen helemaal geen bruinbrood bij het ontbijt enz.

Luxe Hotel als je arriveert. Vriendelijke meertalige receptie, spreken ook Nederlands. Mooie ruime kamer, maar airco werd wel gemist. Ook geen zonwering waardoor kamer erg warm, hetgeen een minpunt is. Luxe badkamer en goed bed. Het ontbijt is ruim voldoende maar mist bereiding van verse producten.

Leider war der Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Die Bilder des Hotels auf Hotels.com entsprechen leider nicht dem aktuellen Zustand des Hotels. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, wovon eines sichtbaren Schimnelbefall in einer Ecke und im Bad aufwies.

habitué de cet hôtel, je pense que l' installation de robinets thermostatiques pour les douches n'est plus un luxe dans ce genre d' établissement.
Ce qui évite des \"douches Ecossaises\" intempestives lorsque les occupants des chambres voisines ouvrent leurs robinets.

Voor een 4 sterrenhotel zijn de kameren zeker de badkamer aan opfrisbeurt toe.
Honden toegelaten en vasttapijt zijn geen goede combinatie. Wel lastig als je in de garage staat en niet rechtstreeks naar het bijgebouw kan met de bagage.

Check-in ist schrecklich. Die navi führt einen vor die Einfahrt zu der Tiefgarage, ohne dass man da überhaupt reinkommt, nach dem Aufbau der Sprechverbindung zur Rezeption legte die Dame vom Check in einfach auf. Keine gute Verkehrssituation dort, die Straße ist dort sehr eng, die Einfahrt genauso. Kein Zugang von dort zur Rezeption, lauter verschlossene Türen und \"Durchgänge\", man muss komplett wegfahren, irgendwo einen Parkplatzt finden, Auto abstellen und zu Fuß durch die Fußgängerzone zum Hotel laufen.

Der restliche Aufenthalt war hervorragend.

Im Saunabereich darf keine Badebekleidung getragen werden, eine überflüssige und sehr lästige Regel. Was in vielen Ländern der Welt sogar Pflicht ist, ist hier verboten, schade
