I recently had the pleasure of spending three nights at the Taj West End. It is a splendid heritage hotel set in quiet beautiful gardens. It is well located in the centre of Bengalaru. The rooms are very well appointed, and the staff are excellent. I particularly enjoyed the afternoon and evening refreshments provided in the Taj Club Lounge. I booked airport transfers through the hotel and was very impressed and grateful for the Concierge service that is provided at the Airport.

Spectacular stay at Taj West End hotel for honeymoon. Best hotel stay ever! Food was spectacular and service was on point. Staff was very gracious and helpful. Beautiful property. Well maintained and facilities are first class. Room servicing staff in particular Santhosh was very kind and helpful. He also offered to take photographs of us on the property.

Restaurant breakfast was exceptional. Service was anticipatory and delivered well. Food delicious and great variety.

Very nice hotel!

This was a very nice stay. The facilities are beautiful, the restaurants are excellent, service was outstanding. We arrived at BLR at 2:30 AM. The hotel car I requested was not confirmed, so it was not there, but there were other Taj West End drivers at the airport and the quickly arranged another car for us. It was about an hour ride from BLR to the hotel. With customs, baggage claim, car pick up, travel, and registration, we were in bed around 5:00 AM. We were exhibiting at the BIEC. Ubers to and from the conference center took between 1 and 2.5 hours. There was no problem arranging for pickup at the hotel, but it was a PIA at the conference center. Our departing flight was at 4:00 AM and we arranged for a hotel car the day before with no issues. In the future, I would inquire about the possibility of local transportation from a hotel car. There was a storm during the evening and it knocked the AC out. Because of the storm, it was not too hot, but I notified the front desk in the morning and the AC was working when I returned in the evening. We ate dinner at all three restaurants and found all of them to be excellent. We also opted for breakfast, which was very good.

A historical building with a large garden located in the city center — perfect for a relaxing morning or evening walk. Blue Ginger at the Taj West End is an excellent restaurant, offering delicious food in a uniquely charming setting. However, the room cleanliness was below expectations for a hotel of this standard, as I found hair in the bathroom upon check-in.

Taj West End is a unique old architecture reminiscent of the British era. This hotel is in the middle of Bangalore but feels like you are in a tropical forest. Love the space to walk around and experience beautiful plants, ducks, rabbits and squirrels.

Staff is very helpful and always available to help.

Service is first class!

The Taj continues to set the standard for service. Every member of the staff, from the bellman to the restaurant waiters to the management, make you feel as though you’re the most important person staying at the resort. They remember your name, any requests you’ve had and even how you enjoy your coffee in the morning. It’s these details, along with a genuine sense of kindness and warmth, that make this resort special. The grounds are also lovely, lush and green with winding paths around gardens and an intimate temple tucked away in a leafy nook. We often stepped out of our room to see a plump turkey strutting by for a morning walk! The highlight is the buffet breakfast, with an excellent variety and choices from western and Asian dishes to traditional Indian options, including made-to-order dosas and egg station. We walked away stuffed every morning! If there is one place for improvement though is that the rooms are showing their age. While very comfortable, the rooms are in need of renovating or updating. The curtains are a bit faded and stained, the paint has chipped in corners and the tiles, shower doors and fixtures in the bathroom are stained and dated. It doesn’t take away from the wonderful experience of the resort but it’s certainly noticeable and surprising at a Taj. Overall, a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning soon!

The Taj West End has a beautiful property surrounded by gardens with stunning trees. Its like an oasis. Staff is very friendly. We stayed in a recently remodeled room that was nice. The corridor passes in the \"front\" part of the room, so you have to keep your curtains closed if you like privacy. The rooms are modules that are separate of the main part of the hotel. It was raining and you had to use an umbrella to get to the main part of the hotel. The property has a lot of charm.

We stayed in Taj Westend for 5 days. It has amazing grounds and their garden is definitely something we enjoyed during our stay.

The breakfast had a lot of selections and food was excellent and tasty. The Machan staff (Venkatesh, Mohan, Navya & Shwetha) provided great service.

Now, to the improvements needed. This hotel doesn’t have Bidet - which is really disappointing given the price range. The rooms are very old and dated and cabinets don’t open and close and the entryway to the room is congested & door is just too heavy.

The dosa & coffee orders during breakfast were not arriving on time most of the days and we had to ask multiple times.it’s a shame given the excellent breakfast. I wish they have a foolproof system to ensure guests don’t have to ask multiple times.

Also, during weekends there are events in the ballroom and this makes a mess to walk from rooms to lobby with too many cars and no easy way for guests to navigate.

Feedback on my Taj West End stay

Never expected Taj service to be so bad, extremely non friendly staff, very arrogant and the worst was while checkout when I was charged for some bills which I had already paid.
If I had not checked the details, I would have ended up paying twice.

This is after I had spent significantly on F&B both in room and in the restaurant.

I think this will be the last time I will use a Taj property if I have a choice.

The staff are incredibly professional and courteous, as is the case with most Taj Hotels across India. Quality of service is truly world class and the food is fabulous too

The property however is quite old. Some of the rooms are rather dilapidated and don’t certainly don’t deserve to be categorised as 5 star or justify the prices being charged. Be careful whilst choosing the room to stay in. The club category rooms are in better condition.

It was above average but won’t rate this particular hotel as a five start either though they have two excellent restaurants- Blue Ginger and Masala club apart from the whole day open ‘machaan’. The room and wing we stayed in was in bad shape and we faced issues like power plugs not working. The rooms look old and tired. The properly and landscaping is beautiful though and the staff and service were very good.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night at the Taj West End for our wedding anniversary.

I had made the booking as a surprise for my husband.

Suveera at the front office took the trouble to decorate our room and even organized a yummy chocolate cake. She gave us a room upgrade!

Check in was a breeze.

Since it was covid the only option was in room dining.
Lunch and dinner were delivered within the time frame specified.
Food was pretty average but not unexpected under the circumstances.

Since the property covers 20 acres we were able to walk around the hotel. We even used the cycles which were on site.

All in all it was a lovely experience.

The staff always had their mask and gloves on so we felt very safe.

It's a paradise hidden in the very hectic city of Bangalore. The staff where top notch, always available and willing to go 110% to make the most of our stay. The setting in the middle of Garden is extremely nice and location is directly in the middle of the city.

I stayed at a Heritage Room, so it was 100 years old While that is rather neat and sets it apart from other corporate hotels, you need to be aware after 100 years not everything looks or works like it did brand new. If you want a going back in time experience the Heritage Rooms are a good choice, if not you can go for one of the modern rooms instead.

Had a major mess up at check in. We were given a king bed instead of the twin beds we had booked. The second room given the next day was good but a bit further away so being in our seventies, we had to use the buggy at times. Also the sliding door to the toilet was difficult to move and shower was difficult to adjust. The food was good and the staff at every level was excellent. On the whole the stay was pleasant.

I was expecting a lot more- firstly, all staff here seem to think they are \"special\" they are not courteous- rather very lippy, imitating British style (try to warm like how Indian hospitality is) Everything including the food is mediocre- super overpriced for medium quality- I am an inner circle member but sadly will never return to this property. only plus are the trees, birds and the over nature around.

Frustrating stay

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and this time chose it over another 5 star hotel we love because the tariff included dinner as well as breakfast. This seemed a good deal given that we booked seven rooms. However, on check in the hotel staff told us that no meals were included, and were not really enthusiastic about discussing the matter. Hotels.com kindly attempted to mediate but with no luck. The following day when I forwarded the my booking confirmation and details to the hotel management, they agreed that we had indeed booked a package (half board) but were firm in telling us that Hotels.com had passed on the wrong information to them. Whether this is the case or not, we found the response of the hotel to be rather distressing given the amount of money we had paid. All smiles and friendly until an issue not to their liking arose. We had expected more respect for the customer, but understand that the staff were doing their job and are responsible to the next layer of management. Despite that, eventually they tried hard to make us happier by sorting out the meals and offering good service. By the end of the stay they were all very apologetic.
