Staff brilliantly secured check-in in spite of in-house (temporary) IT issues.

Accommodation was clean and spacious.

Special thanks to 'virtual check-in man' on check-in. Special thanks also to 'cleaner lady' on check-out for effective communication skills.

It was the best of city centre living.

Beautiful apartment in wonderful area. Very convenient to walk around trieste and was walkable from both the train station and cruise port. The only negative was trying to get the heat on. Would have loved some extra blankets if the heat can’t be adjusted. Overall would absolutely stay here again!! Lovely!

Very nice small apartments in a good location. Walkable from train station, near the canal and large plaza with restaurants and shops. One disappointment was the air conditioning not working in either of our apartments . We notified them after the first night but it wasn’t addressed. So it was a little warm. But the apartments themselves were cute and had everything we needed.

The apartment lacked a welcoming atmosphere. The air conditioning compressor, located in the bathroom, was excessively noisy. Additionally, we received only one thin pillow and one linen, which was inadequate for our needs. The Wi-Fi is unusable! We were very disappointed.

This property has two good features: location and size. Here are the issues:
1) Payment. They attempted to pre-authorize my card one week prior to arrival which was not a part of the contract while booking. I considered this to be fraud, because the company name was unfamiliar and had to do with cargo and shipping. I had to cancel my card and re-issue a new one being left with Apple-pay while traveling. Be aware of this.
2) The apartment is big, but the space is used unwisely. Exceptionally badly planned and silly decorated. I kept asking myself: did they buy all of this crap on TEMU? It is inconvenient everywhere: from the bathroom to the kitchen.
3) Air cond is the problem: it kept breaking down at C35+ outside. the main unit is located in the bathroom and makes noise. Hence, a technician came two times to fix it.
4) Wifi doesn't work. I don't think they ever tried to fix it. I gave up asking.
5) Coffee machine is a maze. I asked how to add water to it, but they didn't bother to explain.
6) You will not be able to cook something meaningful there: not enough tools, no kitchen knife, no chopping board. Ha, not even wine glasses! This is Italy, baby:)
7) Door handle is broken. Fix it.
8) There are better places at the same price around available to book. I made a mistake settling for this one.
I have a suspicion that this set of apartments is run by completely incompetent in hospitality people. They have no idea about how to organise.

We stayed at the Residence Theresia in advance of a cruise. The hotel was well kept and the facilities adequate. Check-in was relatively easy- though providing check-in documents, passport info and paying tax was difficult because we were traveling in advance of our arrival. Otherwise great place to stay. Very comfortable and quiet.

We loved our fabulous apartment and were sorry we could only stay one night. When we arrived by train, it was easy to walk to the hotel. It was also very simple to walk to the cruise terminal the next day. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and clean. An excellent choice for anyone starting or finishing a cruise, but also worth a longer stay.

The suite was large and open. You could open windows & or doors across the suite to get a nice cooling breeze without turning on the AC.
There were no instructions to operate the coffee / cappuccino machine.
It is close to a shopping center if you want to eat in. Easy to do your breakfasts before heading out and or a quick snack before bedtime.

Lovely spacious apartment in the centre of Trieste, very good value for money, especially considering the price of the hotels nearby. The bed had a firm mattress, as I like it, and the sofas in the living room were very comfortable. I loved the style of the apartment - very Italian, with parquet floor and visible stone bricks. Would definitely return!

This was a great place to stay before boarding or getting off a cruise ship. Located within easy walking distance from the train station and to the cruise port. Located near great shopping and restaurants. The place was warm, and comfortable. Not super fancy but i would definitely stay here again.

Stay where Hemingway stayed

Residence Theresia with its excellent location was an excellent base from which to walk the city. From the caffe opposite to the nearby restaurants, plenty of choice. The staff were most helpful.
The studio apartment was not luxurious but most comfortable and good to come home to. Supermarket nearby.

Very basic amenities, thankfully we were only staying 3 nights. Shower is tiny, only one roll of toilet paper provided and only 2 pillows provided, c'mon this is 21st century, not 1970's
The air conditioning unit was noisy and the the open plan dining, living room and bedroom area had no door so noises from corridor outside travelled into the room. The coffee machine was prehistoric and as much as we tried we couldn't figure out how to use the thing as 4 pods of coffee had been provided (note; the only things provided).
To summarise, thankfully we didn't spend anytime in the room other than sleeping (not peacefully or deeply) as it was basic amenities and no couch to sit on. August can be a hot and oppressive month in Italy so spend a bit more and ensure you have a better level of comfort.

Terrific building and location. Great value for money. The pillows were hard, curtain rods fell, and I couldn't find a kitchen towel. The internet was weak and I had to sit in a certain area to get a signal. A guide to the television would have been useful. These were all little and unimportant things because the overall value and location were great; I was there to see the sights not hang out in the apartment.

Apt is spacious and recently re-done, but in a ‘cheap and cheerful’ manner. Some details missed- kitchen with no dish towels, fridge door doesn’t close properly so nothing stays cold, bed is firm and has only 1 pillow per person, no shelf in shower for soap and shampoo… small things, but all together suggest a problem with ‘guest perspective’

The apartment is very spacious and clean. Facilities were also very good. Check-in was easy even we arrived after normal time as clear instruction has been given in advance. Comunication with the apartment was also good. The only thing can improve is to consider to leave the WiFi code in the apartment - as mentioned above, we arrived the apartment later, although check-in was simple there was no WiFI code given and have to waite until next day to get it. Overall, very happy with our stay in this apartment.

NOT RECOMMENDED. We took 2 apartments for two families. The apartment was very poorly maintained - it was difficult to unlock and open the door, shower had broken floor, water heater was dripping in the kitchen. While it's advertised to have AC, in fact there's only AC in the kitchen/hallway but not in the rooms - it was impossible to sleep in the hot summer night. While the reservation was for 5 people, only 4 beds had linens and there's nobody to assist during after hours.
The only upside was the center location.

Check in was a nightmare! Performed afterhours required checkin. Received 2 seperate codes, both that did not work. Called and text emergrncy numbers. Never got a reply or pickup. Finally, 1 code worked after about an hour. Unit AC was off and over 30c. No AC operational instructions. After an hour, got the ac on. AC never got temp below 28c. Note to anyone who rents. These are private residences with different amenities. The good was the am receptionist who was very helpful in planning our days and covid tests.

Ideal accommodation to explore Trieste.

Arrived mid morning and was able to leave the luggage and go to explore the city. Check in was quick and easy and we were given a lot of information to help us to further discover everything that Trieste has to offer.
The location is great. An easy 10 min stroll from where we left the cruise ship and even closer to the train and bus stations.

We had a wonderful stay at Residence Theresa. We stayed in a studio apartment which was very spacious and in a fabulous location. We were within a few blocks of train station, harbor, town square and many restaurants. The people at reception desk were friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again.

Excellent well equipped apartment in a great location close to all the sights, shops and restaurants. On street parking can be a bit of a challenge but you can rent a garage with the owners for 15 euro a day. When arriving it is worth noting that reception is on the second floor as this can be confusing.

Great budget choice for Trieste tourists

My room was essentially a fully furnished apartment that was perfect for my needs. It was very clean and everything was in good running order. The shower and Wi-Fi were excellent. The only negative thing was the lack of a view. The location was very close to the pedestrian zone in the area of the Grand Canal. If you can do without a view, it is a great bargain.

Great Value, wonderful owners and really nice!

The owners were so friendly at check-in and we had a really nice stay. The price is reasonable, parking is great and the overall stay was wonderful! Great location and value for the money. Would stay here again when in Trieste. our stay was for a 1 night transit between Northern Italy and Split but we needed a safe comfortable spot with parking. Our two little ones were with us and they brought us a baby crib even though we didn't need it.

I did not feel welcome

Check in is via a Display in the stairhouse, due bad acoustic i had to shout my name all over the place five times to the screen, but the lady in the call-center did not understand. Very unpleasant situation!
After i finally get into the Apt. i get all the time WhatsApp-reminders to pay the tourist tax. Even after the payment they continue to text and ask for the tourist tax of €4.
For an extending day they offered me a room for while the same room was for 50% at Hotels.com, that's not nice.

Gostei muito do apartamento. Para quem chega em Trieste de ônibus ou trem é super tranquilo a chegada ao imóvel, aproximadamente 450 metros. Tive acesso ao interior do prédio, através de um código que foi passado anteriormente através de email. No interior do prédio fiz o check in remoto através de um pequeno computador afixado a parede, tendo sido passado a senha para retirar a chave do imovel. Foi tudo fácil tranquilo. O imóvel estava bem limpo, é bonito e bem decorado. Tem máquina de lavar roupas, se tiver interesse em usar. Para check out, é só deixar a chave no interior do imóvel e fechar a porta. Se a porta do prédio que dá acesso a rua estiver trancada, é só apertar um botão que fica do lado esquerdo e pronto. Tudo muito prático. Adorei.
