Sabrina and her colleagues at the front desk were AMAZING!!! Even when they were busy with heavy check-in times they were always super hospitable.

However, Erico, the bartender, ruined the vibe. Here's what happened. On Saturday evening we saw an unattended table with food in the bar, which was filled with happy guests. Just back from a long day, we brought the food back to our room. There was no sign that it was for a private event, so we assumed it was \"happy hour bar food\" for all. Later, when we left for dinner, I dropped the dishes off. Ericho started speaking to me in a loud tone as if scolding a child asking questions such as \"what made you think you could take that food?\" and \"Who told you it was okay to take that?\" He did not allow me to provide a full response and never did explain what we had done wrong. Was this for a special event? Were we supposed to have paid? (There were no signs indicating either.) This was very embarrassing.

A minor issue was some of the doors on the 4th floor were not properly aligned. Needed to be slammed to make it shut completely. Could disturb other guests.

The property is well-maintained. The only problem I had was that the air conditioning in my room wasn't working. I called guest services and in less than five minutes, someone was knocking at my door. They tried to fix it, but it didn't work. If you are taking a cruise, I recommend this hotel due to its closeness to the port and the train station.

This was a short 2 night stay. I was in room 552. Large room. I walked from the train station, and it was an easy walk. I also walked to dinner and sights. Breakfast was well staffed which is a plus. I would stay here again. Good communication with hotel for someone flying from U.S.

TWO stars for this motel.

This hotel is a low budget third class motel. It’s maybe a TWO star facility. AC terrible. TV terrible, general appearance shabby and old. Receptionists favorite word is “sorry”. My wife and I are “sorry “ that you let us book this dump. It was quiet though.

Worst design hotel room

Bathroom is designed by someone who doesn’t know basics. Toilet is just behind the door so you have to close the bathroom door. If someone will open will crush your knees or give you thrashing on the feet. Tea coffee maker should not be at eye level high. Closet is just for hangers. No drawers to keep stuff.

I have stayed in NH Hotels before so know what to expect: grey walls, grey carpets, grey doors but they are usually clean and comfortable. I got a very friendly welcome at check in and was given my room at 1pm. The hotel faces onto a busy road and it was difficult to sleep. The following morning, to start with my shower was only dispensing scalding hot water, then only cold water and finally no water. I reported this problem to reception but got no real response. The usual hotel guff about nobody having this problem previously. The breakfast is bad value at €14 with plastic ham, tasteless cheese and a poor selection of bread and pastries. There is better value a short walk away. On the positive side it is close to the train station and the city centre.

The position is great, the bed comfortable and breakfast offer is satisfactory. Although the room was freshly refurbished, it was impersonal and not perfectly appointed (walls, cleanliness of some parts, etc.).

Reception upon arrival could have been friendlier.

Overall Ok, but not on my bucket list.

I stayed one noght at NH Trieste. The hotel is strategically located at walkin distance between the central railway station and the historical city center of Trieste (Piazza Unitá). All the staff members I met were very friendly. The room was tidy, big, with a nice view over the Porto Vecchio. Wi-fi was fast, I enjoyed my brekfast too. Highly recommended hotel.

Very busy.

Room is tidy and comfortable, however the air-conditioner did not work so we had to open the windows which was very noisy. We did get offered to move rooms but I was too exhausted to do this.
Parking is a nightmare and the streets are extremely busy, they had a carpark garage around the corner you can pay for but unfortunately it was already full when we finally found it, so you will need to make sure you book that in advance.
Great location to everything in town.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel. The staff does not give you service. Example: I asked for a shower mat and I had to call 3 times in 40 minutes to get one. They offer tap water in the lobby during the day and when I arrived at night they refused to give me some and told me to buy it for 4 euros. Really? I am asking for water! They don’t understand that 4-star also means pampering or at the least being nice to guests. The room is dark. The bathroom is badly designed (toilet behind door), all it has is a bad cosmetic job interior. The staff is what made this hotel awful. They don’t understand hospitality. I don’t recommend this property at all. Very disappointing and it left us with a bad experience.

I stayed there for 6 nights. On the 2nd day, after returning from my lunch. I'm unable to open my room door at room 533. The receptionist made me to walk up and down at least three times without resolving the problem. It really got me pissed off. The problem was resolved only at night.

Within reasonable walking distance from central train/coach station evem with heavy luggage. Spacious and clean room. Lift to lobby from street level not yet operational so one has to carry luggage up amd down a stair of steps.

Good, standard hotel in convenient location with modern facilities. My room was quiet and clean, and the stay overall was very satisfactory. The only downsides were that the breakfast room was a bit crowded, and queues often formed at the two coffee machines. The steps outside are visually badly designed and could confuse anyone with poor eyesight descending them. Also, the shower was good but (as with many large hotels) its temperature sometimes changed suddenly.

The hotel is in a poor state. It is either being renovated, or just looks very bad. The lifts were not working. Everything looks old. there is not coffee or tea in the rooms (or provided in the lobby during the day).

Some of the staff was not not willing to help...

Despite the central location, the access to the hotel is only possible via steps, which is uncomfortable with large suitcases. There is an elevator, however it's been out of service for quite some time. The lights in the bathroom did not work, the furniture is outdated and the A/C was noisy. The staff however were nice.

We chose this hotel as we were arriving on a late flight and needed somewhere with a 24-hour reception desk. The room was fine enough but the whole hotel seems like it needs a refresh, perhaps related, our shower head completely broke off which was a massive safety hazard. Upon check-in we had also requested a print out of tickets and were told we could collect these the next morning but they couldn't be located by the next staff member which was a minor inconvenience.

Hotel w/o parking

The Hotel and Staff were very good, excellent in fact. The only issue I had with my stay was the lack of any convient parking. I rarely travel to large cities but I've never stayed anywhere that the only parking available was a couple of blocks away with a retail parking provider. I guess I just assume a quality hotel will provide some parking or at the very least shuttle back & fort to a satellite location.

Reception area is pleasant and must have been touched up fairly recently.
Once you get to the corridors and rooms the hotel shows its age.
Heating / ventilation control is something out of the 1970's (and does not really work well)
Bathroom is tiny, wallpaper is detached in spots.
If you end up in a room with windows on via Milano the noise of the club (and the people smoking outside the club) the noise can be fairly loud at night.
I chose NH as all my previoius experiences were good, but will not come back to this one.
Breakfast was correct, both in terms of choice and service.

Very warm and helpful reception staff.
The hotel itself is nice but rooms not very well maintained. For us the big issue was the shower which didn't have normal temperature water. You could get either boiling hot or freezing cold.
Otherwise the room was basic but comfortable and breakfast was pretty good.
