My partner and I have stayed at Hotel Tropical twice now for short 2-night stays in Ibiza, and honestly, I don’t think we’d choose anywhere else.

The hotel itself is fairly basic, but the rooms are modern, super clean, and excellent value for money – exactly what you need for a comfortable place to lay your head after partying.

The pool area is large with plenty of loungers, the staff are friendly, and they even provide a shower room you can use if you have a late departure, which is a great touch.

Overall, it’s a reliable, great-value option in Ibiza, and I’d thoroughly recommend it.

Spent 3 nights here with friends. We arrived earlier than check-in, but were allowed to use the pool facilities and take towels until our rooms were ready. Plenty of sunbeds poolside and food/drink relatively cheap.The rooms were very clean/tidy. Cleaners were in daily. Very helpful at reception with any queries and leaving our bags in the locked travel case room. Good location to walk into the centre, with shops nearby. Overall we were pleasantly surprised, as some of the photos didn't do it justice. I would stay here again.

More of a 2 star than a 2. The lobby, stairs etc are very dated and drab and it stank of weed but when you walk into the room, it’s like waking into another hotel. Really clean and modern. The staff on the desk are lovely and really helpful when booking taxis etc. breakfast was poor. Hardly any choice, sausages were pink, everything luke warn, better off going out for breakfast. The pool is accross the road which I was worried about but it wasn’t that bad. The pool itself is clean and tidy. If you want food and snacks in the pool bar though you have to sit at the table and chairs and can’t take it back to your lounger which was weird? Ok to sleep if you’re going on a party holiday but not somewhere I’d ever take my children.

Great location, great value. Rooms were well decorated and in good condition. Breakfast had a good selection each morning. Pool was across the road but not too much of an inconvenience, though it did get really busy and was completely full with no beds to spare on 1 day. Affordable, comfortable, close enough to walk to some small but nice beaches. Close to the bus station if you are interested in going across the island or to some other beaches, although generally public transportation back is not the most obvious if you haven’t done your research. Much quieter area then the other side of the island, but also plenty of options for food and such!

Hotel great - let down by service.

The one thing which let the stay down was the 'scowl' on the face of the lady clearing plates on the evening meal. We also had to ask a number of times for a drink. Not welcoming and wouldn't eat again in their restaurant. Otherwise the hotel is great. 5 minutes from the west end and centrally located for all San Antonio has to offer.

My go-to hotel in San Antonio

Loved my stay here, this is my favourite hotel to stay in (I've stayed here 3 times and have booked another 2 stays). The rooms are clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Looks like the rooms have had a refresh recently too. I always stay Half-board here, plenty of options for breakfast and dinner, which makes my holiday pain free. Hotel has very fast WiFi. It is in a great location, less than 5 mins to the strip, 5 mins to the egg, 10 mins to Golden Buddha, 5 mins to Cafe Mambo/Sunset Strip and out of the way enough to not be disturbed by external noise. The pool area is great too.

Finally, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, I needed to extend my stay and they made it very easy for me to do so and at a great price.

Great Staff, Great Location

The hotel staff were all great. Especially Emanuel and the great security guy Juan. They were always cheerful and great service with a smile.
Swimming pool , bar and Gym were located across the road so not in the same building but it's just across and the advantages would be that the noise is contained in that area.
Unfortunately the sound proofing within the hotel rooms are not great. You can literally hear your neighbours have a full on conversation. So if you are looking for a quieter kind of holiday then I don't recommend it. We were fine due to the fact that it was a party holiday and chose the location and price. Balcony doors will keep the street noise out. Just not the interior walls.
The hotel has good security and you feel safe at all times.
If your flight is late in the evening then you might be given a room for half day at 65 euros which we took advantage of until 6pm.
If you are expecting pool view from your room then it will need to be above 2nd or 3rd floor or higher with balcony.

If you are young it's fine for your first trip to gomorrah ... I mean Ibiza. It was clean, surprisingly civilized and quiet on 1st floor. They get you on all extras like drinks, safe, towels but printing and WiFi internet is free. Overall no negatives.

Hotel Tropical was a nice and quite hotel with very friendly staff, who where always helpful and available 24hrs. The location was also great and close to all necessary amenities and restaurant/ bars/clubs are all a walking distance away.

The room cleaning sometimes took a little long to get fresh towels in the rooms, but possibly because they are so many rooms and people checking in and out often.

It is also a little difficult to have guests over, this is also possibly to limit the noise as this is not a party hotel.

All in all we had a good stay at hotel tropical and would stay here again in future.

Wonderful Hotel with GREAT staff!!!

This hotel exceeded my expectations to what I was expecting for a 3 star hotel. The service offered, room and staff were exceptional! We were greeted with a smile by the receptionist (Perpeti) and upgraded to a balcony room even though we paid for a non-balcony room - Thank you!!! Our room was very clean with toothbrush, comb, clean towels and bathroom was spotless! The bathroom was very new and the rain shower was the best - I absolutely enjoyed having a shower everyday! The breakfast was nice and had a good selection on offer everyday. The breakfast team were absolutely fantastic - Jose, Paqui & Carmen! They greeted everyone with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure we were all fed properly. Paqui was my absolute favourite - she greeted us warmly with a beautiful smile every morning and always asked if we needed anything. This hotel is near everything - lots of places to eat, 5mins to the Westend area, 8mins to Calò des moro beach, 13 mins to Cap Blanc Aquarium. We were able to use the shower room to have a shower and freshen up before a late flight back home and it was spotlessly clean too - Thumbs up to Hotel Tropical for a wonderful service like this one! Even 4&5 star hotels don't have the service to use a shower room after you check out. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our 4 nights and 5 days at this hotel and we will definitely stay here again when next we visit San Antoni. I highly recommend Hotel Tropical to everyone visiting San Antoni in Ibiza.

We had another fantastic stay at the hotel and it’s lovely to be recognised as returning guests by the staff.

The hotel is central to all things lively in Ibiza, this attracts people that like to enjoy themselves and of course people enjoy a drink and music with some partying, this is managed by the hotel to make sure it isn’t causing disruption to others.

I would recommend going half board for the price difference, breakfast is always good and the dinner is fine, particularly themed nights.

The hotel is very clean, the room was cleaned each day and it was nice to come back from a hot day to fresh towels and everything being clean. It’s also very safe and I was happy to leave my phone visible to charge when at the pool. You also don’t need a key to operate electric so the air con can be left on to cool your room when returning.

The staff are great, always happy to help with extra requests etc and they love to see returning faces.

Can’t wait to do it all again.

Great hotel, really nice big pool and generous breakfast buffet with everything you could want. Only thing I'd say is that it seems as if they didn't change the bed sheets but just made the bed when they cleaned the room as there was lipstick on my pillow (probably my own) during the whole stay. Also would be good if the aircon was a little bit stronger. There was also a really rude man at the pool who wouldn't allow you to bring in your own bottled WATER and would take them off you as you go to the pool which seemed really odd. I understand not allowing alcohol but surely unopened bottled water should be allowed to make sure people stay hydrated in the heat? Other than that it was great and we really enjoyed our stay. The only reason I've ticked that I wouldn't recommend it to a friend is that we also stayed in another hotel during our stay in Ibiza and I preferred slightly and would recommend first, however Hotel Tropical did have a much bigger nicer pool.

Good but with noisy gangs of teenagers.

Its good hotels overall. I liked the minigolf it has and the breakfast/dinner choices. Not the breakfast \"orange juice\" however. Its not a juice actually, its more like tap water with colour.

Staff are not the friendliest however. Especially the man checking the room numbers when going for breakfast/dinner. I dont think he knows how to properly speak to customers.

Anyway the hotel is good if you are a gang of teenagaers going to clubs. Because this is what the hotel seems to be full of. At nights they are in the short halls drinking and shouting. Their rooms seem to have at least 6-7 people inside.

Even next to reception people shouting really loud and receptionists say nothing to them , i guess they got used to it. Doesnt seem like the safest hotel, if you are travelling with a girl there.

Anyway the rooms are comfortable even though small, with thin walls, but with noisy air conditioning.

Location is good, near the port.

Went to Ibiza with some mates and whilst the room was fairly basic, the beds were comfy and we had a nice balcony. But lets face it, you hardly go to Ibiza with mates to have a room where you can stay in all night and watch a movie whilst eating pizza. So this ticks the necessity boxes of: good pool, cheap booze beside said pool, loads of sun loungers and the staff always helped you out. It's close to all the bars and there's a small supermarket right beside the hotel, what more do you need?

Breakfast was basic but served a purpose. I was just happy i could stomach my morsel of toast and a yoghurt without seeing it again and rendering the pool off limits to all.

Easy to find and easy going.

Good price for summer season

Stayed at the Hotel Tropical for 2 nights in Ibiza. It was central to the promenade, bars, restaurants and the sea. While the hotel is older, my room was relatively comfortable and there was a huge deck. It would have been nice to have a chaise lounger on the deck since it was only a table and 2 chairs. The staff was great and very helpful in getting checked in and out.

Its location is well placed for the bus station to access the rest of the beautiful island, but easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants near the west end, although not too close to cause any issues! You can also walk to sunset strip for the amazing views and bars. Everything we needed for our trip and would go back to hotel tropical.

This hotel is close to local bars, restaurants, the west end, but far enough away, it has an excellent pool, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull, the cleanliness and room service was excellent, amienities in the room were very good, with a fridge, safe, coffee making facilities, and a hair dryer in the bathroom, was cleaned every day and fresh towels, provided, i would totally reccomend anyone to use this hotel, i certainly will in the future,

Ok so this hotel was booked strictly to save money and for a large group of friends to stay in the same place. But the place was HORRIBLE! dirty, run-down and away from all the popular areas in Ibiza. Every cab ride we ended up taking was about 30 euros just to get to the other side of the island. Hotel security was really rude and the area looked sketchy. You are better off staying at another part of the island even if you spend a couple more bucks to stay there it is worth it because Ibiza is expensive to begin with since its a tourist trap. Hope this is helpful!

Overall I had a fantastic time in Ibiza. The hotel is great, clean, comfortable good swimming pool in the leisure area. All staffs were very friendly and helpful. Food wise, they offer a really good breakfast, big variety of food. I did not have half board in my package but I had dinner in the hotel for an extra charge and the food was lovely and very cheap.
The hotel is located a short walking distance from the bus terminal and Playa Cala Gracio, very good beach to refresh yourself, the water is transparent and the nature around is fantastic.
The only thing I can say was not good is the internet connection, it's slow and the signal is poor.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time at hotel Tropical, the staff are lovely and reception is open 24 hours so that's great. You drop your key at reception when leaving the hotel everyday in case of loss, which I think was a good system.
The pool area just opposite the hotel was great, a nice size, it wasn't ever too busy, and beds were always available. The atmosphere was great, and the food was a good price. The only thing was that you wasn't allowed to bring in bottles of water into the pool area so had to buy small bottles of water for 2€ which is a pricey and a little cheeky!
The location was perfect for us, in the middle of everything. Close to the bus station, the bay, restaurants and strip! Couldn't of asked for a better location really.

The hotel is situated in a great location, a walking distance to the beach and west end. While the room was comfortable, it looked a bit shabby. The bathroom definitely needed an upgrade and the hotel could do with a bit of TLC. Breakfasts and dinners were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel could do with a doorman - the hotel has one tiny lift, making it a bit of a mission to take bags up yourself.

Good hotel for party go-ers!

This is a good hotel which is close to the west end & sunset strip! It sales tickets for all the big clubs and I was pleased with one receptionist who was on the afternoon/evening shift - he was cheerful, helpful and spoke good English! However my bed sheets had cigarette burns in and the linen seemed itchy. The showers were not powerful enough to get sand off my legs so came out just as dirty! Got quite a few cold callers off the streets knocking on my hotel room door selling drugs too! Overall a good hotel for young people who are in Ibiza to party as noisy guests in the early hours of the morning and rooms provide the bare minimum so can't be trashed! Good breakfast & fridge provided in rooms too! Rooms with balconies are worth the money!

Bare minimum

This hotel is great for young party travellers. Everyone else should try elsewhere. Staff were all very nice. Hotel was 2 star at best.

Location good but needs upgrades

Doors don't seem to fit well or are thin so you can hear ANY noise in the corridor. Because they use old keys and not cards for entry all I heard was roommates knocking on each other's doors loudly to get in the rooms. Also some doors soft closers broken so slam loudly. If every resident had a key card it would be a big upgrade - currently you need earplugs!

Excellent location not too far from Bus Station, Harbour, Beach, Eateries and Pubs. Good swimming Pool and Terrace. Dining Room and Breakfast Buffet excellent. Good Lounge. Staff very hospitable and friendly. Hotel very clean. En Suite claustrophobic. Rooms average to small in size. Good air conditioning.
BUT the NOISE! Despite Security Guard patrolling after midnight to enforce peace and quiet the good old English must raise the roof shouting and yelling - mustn't they? Query why not the Germans, French, Spanish or Italians who were also present?

Good value hotel in San Antonio, Ibiza

Very grateful to have found Hotel Tropical for our first visit to the Balearic Islands. Our priorities in finding accommodations on Ibiza island included location in/near Sant Antoni di Portmany, central to the heart of town, rooms with air conditioning & wifi - all those needs were met. Staff at the reception desk were pleasant and very efficient at their jobs. Our room was very clean and the bedding satisfactory, although the beds were small (length too short for guests over 6 feet tall). The pool is just steps away from the main hotel, and is a good-sized area for sunbathing and just hanging out. Some room rate options include meals, which we would recommend guests take advantage of considering the prices of restaurants in the surrounding area. The hotel rooms are equipped with small refrigerators, and there are small markets near the hotel where snacks/drinks can be purchased. For those who wish to eat outside of the hotel or are interested in the nightlife, the location is within walking distance of the sunset strip, restaurants, & bars. The hotel isn't quite in the midst of the lively nighttime activities but a word of caution to those looking for a quiet place to get uninterrupted rest: expect regular noise from adjacent rooms, passers-by on the street, and guests from neighboring resorts. Otherwise, if you don't mind the occasional disruption or expect to be out and about more, this place is a fair deal.

Comfort in Ibiza!

This hotel was definitely value for money. The location of the hotel is great for San Antonio, it is a comfortable walking distance to just about everything in the area. The pool area across the road from the hotel is a great touch making it easy to have a quick dip and tan whenever you want, it was also great for the next day recovery after a big night out. The rooms are also kept very cool in summer with the great airconditioning system.

Good for the money but not for leisure

Stayed here during my travels through Spain. The price is great but it's not the hotel for leisure or peace and quiet. This hotel is mainly for the 18-22 year olds who are up all night long partying at the west end. I got a max of 3 hours of sleep both nights because it was so loud. Also my room wasn't cleaned during my stay. Stay in the Ibiza side of town if you are willing to spend more $$$ and enjoy yourself
