Praia do Canal Nature Retreat is located in the southwestern part of Portugal, in one of Europe's most raw, unexplored, least developed hidden treasures: South-West Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park. The hotel's main restaurant, Azeitona (Olive), draws its inspiration from the sea and the land surrounding the estate, offering a regionally inspired fine cuisine based on fresh local organic ingredients sourced directly from the local community.

Zimbro (Juniper) restaurant offers Portuguese cuisine with a contemporary twist. Its location by the main pool provides the perfect setting for casual dining with panoramic views over the valley and the ocean.

A modern approach to the country's most genuine gastronomy, the restaurant pays homage to its roots and iconic recipes by giving them a whole new approach, adding them relevancy and timelessness. Aljezur, the closest town, is just 10 kilometers away.

Located along the Ocean coast, straddling a beautiful river valley, this small coastal village with typical houses from the rural architecture of the Algarve, with their colorful borders painted around windows and along the edges of their whitewashed walls, is dominated by the ruins of a 10th century Moorish castle.
