I had high hopes for this property, which clearly was once a nice place—but sadly, it’s now in serious need of attention. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that maintenance has been neglected. The grounds and facilities felt rundown, and the walkway to the pool was in such poor condition it bordered on unsafe.
Our check-in experience was frustrating. We were given the wrong room without any explanation, and only after returning to the desk were we told—by the manager—that the staff had “forgotten to mention” our reserved two-bedroom apartment was unavailable. Instead, they tried to pass off a single room. It took a long time to resolve, and the staff’s indifferent attitude didn’t help.
The front desk team seemed unfamiliar with their own POS system and insisted on charging us in USD, adding a 5% conversion fee, despite my request to pay in local currency. When I asked about the in-room safe that wasn’t working, I was told there was an extra charge to activate it—something I’ve never encountered before.
The shower had visible mold and mildew, and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. There were trash carts overflowing for most of our stay, needing removed. Kids were allowed in the bar area, which felt inappropriate, and the restaurant—while decent—was understaffed and struggled to keep up with demand.
Overall, this hotel could be great again with proper investment and training, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We stayed in one of the apartments, was absolutely gorgeous, very spacious ! The location wasn’t great, travelling about 20minutes to get to anything however it was quiet and peaceful! If you are a formula 1 NASCAR fan you will absolutely love everything about this place. I don’t recommend eating on site, prices are high. The pool was amazing, lots of room, shade coverage and chairs provided ! Lots of space to play lawn games!

The pool was one of the most amazing pools I've been swimming in, and the apartment was beautiful and had three bedrooms and four bathrooms plus two balconys. It was amazing!

My husband and I wanted to go swimming in the indoor pool and could never get anyone to help us with a towel or a swim cap. We also wanted to book a massage but was unable to do so.

First stay in the Algarve

With regards to the Algarve Race Resort. Our stay for the first day of our vacation was amazing. The people at the resort were helpful and friendly. My wife had a massage at the spa and it was one of the best she’s ever had. a shout out to the dining staff and the front desk was extremely helpful. I would recommend this resort to anyone that is staying in the Algarve area. Thanks for the great service.

I paid for 2 x 2 bedroom apartments but they gave us 1 x 3 bedroom one instead. And 1 of the 3 bedrooms had no bed!!!! Very disappointed as I did not get what I paid for….

The staff were welcoming, the hotel is nice and modern and the hotel restaurant serves good food. However, it is in the middle of nowhere. Staying here will cost you a fortune just to travel and see civilisation. There’s no pavement to walk anywhere and the nearest supermarket is around 25 minutes away. For that reason, I wouldn’t stay here again nor would I recommend anyone to stay here. You’re better off staying in the heart of Portimao or Albufeira where everything is close by and things are still open at night

We stayed at the apartments. The decor was basic and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. There was no place in the bathroom to put any toiletries or even a hook to hang up anything. There was very little room for hanging clothes in the bedroom. It would have been nice if they had left some cleaning supplies in the kitchen. You had to pay extra for the kitchen to be cleaned but they’re was no dish soap or dishwasher detergent or even a sponge or cloth.

Nice modern apartment with nice swiming pools/facilities.
However, I didn't appreciate the apartment not being ready on our arrival at 6pm when it should have been avalible from 4pm.... we had to wait until 7pm to get access.
I also think it's unacceptable to charge extra to use the safe in the apartment.

Great stay, really attentive friendly staff. Service was a luttle slow at times, but this may have been due to the recent lifting of covid restrictions in the UK and the sudden influx of guests. Overall very helpfull, and as good as would be expected. If not using the track, then ther really isnt anything alse nearby. Car a must. Would stay again 😁

The apartment was large and had everything required. The sofa was very dirty
And required cleaning or replacing as this was a real put off. Plenty of hot water and comfortable bed but pillows small and lumpy. The apartment was good value for money but just lacked attention to detail.
Would stay again though. You need a vehicle here as nearest town is 10k away.
Pool area looked nice. This place is set up mostly for race days.

Hotel near the track, convenient location.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel room is clean and comfortable except the bed is a bit too soft for me.
Breakfast, dinner served in the restaurant are nice with lots of choices and good taste.
I will come back and stay when I visit the track again.

Amazing hotel, very beautiful. We stayed at the apartment block not the hotel. The apartments feel very secluded from hotel, in my opinion i feel like they have invested more time into the hotel than the apartments. The apartment would benefited from its own reception, this would save time walking to the hotel each time. Teabags, milk and coffee station are the little things that would that extra touch to the apartment.
An extra €15 you can get breakfast, delicious continental and english breakfast. On our first night we tried the dinner buffet for €25, the food was disappointing not worth the €25 at all, not alot of variety at all, the service was great, english speaking staff helps alot. The apartment is very clean, cleaning service provided each morning. Only downfall is that the hotel is very far from everything including the clubs, bars etc. We paid €86 for a taxi from the airport!! Taxi to albufeira is €42-45! Portimão and lagos are the closest towns from the hotel about 30mins taxi costing about €20-25. The cheapest taxi app to use is bolt way cheaper than uber. The noise from the racing each morning can get somewhat irritating. I was expecting one or two days of racing, but did not except it the whole week we stayed here. If you are planning to stay here, i would recommend hiring a car. Overall the reception staff are very helpful at all times nothing is to much bother for them. Thank you very much.

Beautiful property.... very spacious apartments with everything you need.... as for the kitchen, if you decide to cook, you need to buy your own dish soap and sponges... Also, you need a car as there is no way you can walk anywhere... is beautiful place in the middle of nowhere...

Great hotel, very clean and staff really helpful. Only negative was comfort, leather couches in the heat were a little uncomfortable and pillows were pretty bad on the beds, but everything else was perfect! Very quiet area, which was exactly what we wanted to get away from it all.

Property was close to the pool and the apartment layout was excellent.

Everything felt a bit unfinished.

No service at the pool by our apartment.

Hob was broken

Maids came at different times during the day, often when we were busy so was in convenient.

Asked for late check out to 12pm, this was turned down.

On the first night was sent to the wrong apartment and woke a family who were sleeping.

Loved it and had a blast kart racing!

Loved this resort. It is about 20 minutes to either Lagos or Portimao and there is not much to do in the immediate area. However, the upscale quality of the resort and spa blends well with the relaxed atmosphere of the area. The resort opened in 2015 so it is quite new.

We took our three kids (9, 7, 5) to the kart racing since the resort is part of the Algarve Race area. We had a blast and it was an unforgettable experience racing through the hills of the Algarve.

We would highly recommend it if you have a rental car and day trips can be taken to areas along the coast.

Grand complexe hôtelier avec beaucoup de commodites. La partie hôtel n’accepte pas les chiens de compagnie, cela est possible uniquement mais la partie appartement oui. Quant aux chiens aidants ils font payer alors que les conditions générales de hôtels.com précisent le contraire: nous avons fait une réclamation à l’hôtel et attendons la suite (200€ pour 4 nuits pour 2 chiens)

Speravamo in un’oasi dove rilassarsi. Appartamento grande con 2 bagni ciechi, aria condizionata in solo una delle 3 camere (e fa moooolto caldo). Struttura molto dispersiva.
Per andare in piscina camminiamo per tutto il condominio, arriviamo e delle poche sdraio disponibili, parecchie sono sfondate.
Il tutto nel nulla cosmico… non ci tornerei.

The safety box cost separately and its was more or less broken. We could not open it by ourselves at the time of checking out.
Oven tray mysteriously desappeared from our appartment during our stay. One of the balcony doors could not been locked.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The appartment was great, It was spacious having two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen and open livingroom dining, Just wonderful for families. Appartment was very clean. Swiming pool was nicely done and beautiful looking behind the hotel. Good breakfast at the hotel.

Points positifs : spacieux, machine à laver (non au descriptif). Parking privé.
Points négatifs : rideau de douche (impensable chez un hôte professionnel), ni mug, ni bol, ni éponge, ni produit vaisselle (nous sommes habitués des appart hôtel et c'est la première fois que nous n'avons pas le nécessaire à vaisselle). Très bruyant ( intérieur/ extérieur). Propreté discutable.

Un grand prix de moto a eu lieu lorsque nous y étions.... Nous avions pourtant bien vérifié qu'il n'y avait aucun événement... Logement à éviter, à moins d'aller sur le circuit.

Très pratique pour les utilisateurs de l'autodrome

Appartement spacieux, bien équipé, personnel serviable, bon rapport qualité/prix, possibilité d'accéder aux prestations de l'hôtel (restaurant, spa, piscine...), à 6 ou 7 minutes en voiture de l'autodrome.
