Room was modern and very clean but simple with no soft furnishings. UK, Euro and USB power outlets were provided, a small TV with English news and a balcony with chairs and table. The location is good, it’s a short walk to shops, restaurants and bars, a bit further to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was great.

Lovely hotel just a few minutes walk to the town centre and another couple of minutes to the beach or seafront harbour.
The staff are amazing and the breakfast is good too. The pool area isn’t too big and sometimes if it’s busy, it’s difficult to get a sunbed but over all I would definitely recommend it and I will very likely return 😀

The reception staff were lovely and amazing. 💕 didn’t have the best experience at the breakfast buffet as I have a nut allergy, and basically was told to only eat bread. But the hotel manager did respond to this and informed me there are nut free options which was nice. Also I was travelling solo and the I felt very safe. Would recommend to other solo travellers. Plus the location is perfect under 10 min walk to the beach.

The hotel and property is very basic by modern hotel standards and is starting to look its age. It is not unpleasant or unkempt, it is simply lacking charm and ambience. The location is convenient because it is an easy walk to a full supermarket or to the town of Alvor with its many bars, restaurants and shops. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying here, just be prepared for average.

Our third stay at Agua Jardim. Highly recommend for a short stay, but if having a longer holiday you might prefer somewhere more luxurious. There are many varieties of rooms, some don’t have balconies so ensure you check if that’s a priority for you. We had a studio (with small balcony) and a small ‘kitchen’ but it has limited facilities if you plan to cook. We just needed a fridge and kettle with cutlery/plates/bowls so had what we needed. You couldn’t prepare a cooked meal, very few pans or any other essentials. The pool area is fine for a quick swim and sunbathe, but the sun-beds are not comfortable to lay out all day. Usually no problem finding a sun-bed in full sun or shade. Breakfast is complimentary 8-11 everyday and has a nice variety of hot/cold buffet and friendly staff, can’t complain when it’s free. As long as the prices remain competitive, we’ll be back again. Great location and we love Alvor as a resort. Best beach and good restaurants.

2nd short break here this year. We love Alvor and this hotel is in a great location and easy walking distance to the great restaurants and bars in the centre. We had a lovely view from our balcony and the free breakfast was really nice. We upgraded to a deluxe room from a standard this time and it’s worth the extra money for the balcony and extra space (standard is very small). Only negative - the sunbeds around the pool are really uncomfortable - probably why we never had a problem getting one. I’m considering bringing a camping mat for it for future stays - we’ll be back!

Perfect for a short stay

My stay here was for one night on a road trip and it was perfectly fine. At first they gave me a room that was on the first floor very close to the road but I didn’t want it and they provided me with another room in the back. Staff was friendly, breakfast was sufficient. I did not use the pool. I did walk down to the little town and had dinner at the Mozambique restaurant which was excellent

Great choice out of the centre of Portimao, Alvor is a bit less hectic, but still with plenty of bars & restaurants. Staff at the hotel exceptionally helpful and friendly, and our twin room with balcony was comfortable, clean and spacious with a sea view. Good location for getting to the Portuguese MototGP

Very clean and upto date with UK and Irish visitors ie Thirteen amp plug sockets. Great variety of food for breakfast. A small fridge in smaller rooms would make this hotel a 5 star. Location excellent, 3 min walk to a large supermarket, 5 min from restaurants and bars, transport to and from the hotel to the beach, you couldn't ask for more.

Was put in a tinny room. Mattress was uncomfortable, very hard. Had an empty duvet cover as blanket. No coffee machine or boiler in the room. No hand soap amenities,only shampoo.
Breakfast staff was absolutely terrible. They were very rude to me every day. Not a plaisent morning breakfast. Had to argue to take my coffee upstairs every day even though there’s no coffee machine in the room it seams like it was a problem to take my coffee upstairs and the manager was yelling. Would not recommend this hotel. I’m sure you can find better around

The hotel was brilliant, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Everything looked newly refurbished and was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and had lovely crisp white cotton sheets and bouncy pillows. There was lots of space in our room and the two layers of double glazed doors made it very quiet. There was also a fridge. We were only there for one night as we were on a visit from our home in the Eastern Algarve for a friends barbecue but we would definitely go there again and highly recommend it. Great value for money.

We stayed at the Agua Hotel Alvor Jardim for 4 nights 25/8-29/8. The hotel is new and finished to a high standard. Our room had a mini fridge. Large clean bathroom and comfy twin beds. Excellent air conditioning unit in the room. Continental breakfast served each morning. Previous guests said breakfast felt like it was served in the basement of the hotel, I however did not feel like this and with it having only a few small windows it was nice and cool. As it was a continental that was specified when booking I was surprised to see scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans and roasted veg on offer. There was also pastries, yogurts, cereal, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese. Best continental breakfast selection I have seen. Short walk into the main town of Alvor with plenty restaurants and bars. Supermarket with a large variety only a 5 min walk from the hotel. It was my partners birthday while we were there and the staff must have noticed and gifted him with a bottle of fizz and truffles, lovely touch. Would recommend this hotel and hope to return next year.

Refurbished to a high standard

After booking this we found that it was undergoing refurbishment. That had ended by the time we arrived. The room was very good, spacious and modern. There is a small bar by the reception which we used to get drinks during the day by the pool - which was never crowded, - but in the evening we walked into Alvor center, which only took a couple of minutes. The breakfast had a lot of choices. There is a sign saying that there is a bar by the pool, but that isn't there yet, though there is clearly space where it could be placed.

The hotel isn't large, four floors with about twenty rooms on each. The staff were very helpful.

Lovely new hotel in great location

This is a beautiful new hotel with lovely staff. The location is great,right in alvor centre, The pool is really nice and the breakfast is great. It is walking distance from alvor beach and the fabulous boardwalk. I would be happy to recommend it to both couples and families and I hope to stay again!

Very clean newly built room. No kettle but everything very modern and well serviced. Pool was very warm and relaxing. Only problem was that they were still building on the hotel everyday as it's not completed yet so lots of noise. Breakfast was not good. Very basic and synthetic juice. Not what we would expect for a 4 star hotel so we're very disappointed. weren't able to enjoy the 4 star hotel as it should be as there was also no restaurant. The bar is not a real bar just a tiny section from the front desk. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay in this rather quiet area of town.

Fui visitar um familiar e decidi agendar uma estadia em família num fim de semana de Abril. O Hotel proporcionou-nos uma estadia relaxante. Tivemos estacionamento grátis. Um bom peq almoço.
