Apartment was clean, basic kitchen but we only stayed one night. Outside space at pool was very clean and well kept but the tennis court was in a terrible state. Reception were fine, just lacking customer service. Location was good for us, close to restaurants and beach. Free parking.

The phone number for this property was incorrectly listed on Expedia. It had the country code listed twice and that phone number was for another Flor da Rocha property. The correct number is +351 282 400309. We arrived at 1pm and fortunately they accommodated our request for an early check-in.

The apartment was spacious with a nice view over the pool towards the ocean. Great bathroom and comfortable beds. We were disappointed there was not a coffee maker in the kitchen. The pool was nice with plenty of chaise lounges.

Not to miss the great bakery on the next street.

This hotel had a lot of space, with nice apartment style rooms. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the terrace and the view from the room. There is a great pool. This is walking distance to the ocean and beaches but we didn't love the area because it is so busy and touristy. The hotel itself was amazing. Good internet too.

Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Have stayed in Praia da Rocha several times before but never at Flor da Rocha.

Only disadvantages, staying in late March the balcony always seemed to be in the shade. At no point, even on the sunny warmer days was it ever a sun trap. Think this is due to the other buildings close by and the shape of the building itself.

Other disadvantage, which isn't the apartments fault are some of the other guests. Sound proofing between apartments isn't great (fairly typical for holiday apartments) and some guests are less than considerate to their fellow guests. Thankfully they went out to the clubs around 23:30 so it quietened down then. When I booked I thought for the price the apartment compared to others in the resort were very reasonable priced. Of course, this means that the younger groups also find them good value.

The suite was very spacious with kitchen, dining table, armchairs and couch. However, not sure if this is because we stayed during slower season in October, all hallways lights were off no matter the time of day- both morning and night, and I thought I was in a horror movie walking down the halls.

Stayed 4 nights in Flor da Rocha. Property is beautiful as well as grounds and pool area. Staff was friendly. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 6. Having 1 bathroom was difficult, but we made it work. Air conditioner only in the shared living area so bedrooms get warm and having the patio doors open proved a bit noisy at nighttime. Otherwise pretty quiet given the area is away from the main walking drag of shops etc. it is on an end of the main Praia da rocha and close to Praia das 3 castelos. Would definitely stay here again based on convenience of location and amenities.

Noisy & unwelcoming

Unwelcoming robot type staff checked us in. The staff denied that they received the request I made months before we checked in. Hotels.com checked the communication and said that it was delivered. They seem to have an inefficient system of dealing with clients.
Very noisy area, suffice to say that we had sleepless nights. Very uncomfortable stay and would not recommend this place to anyone. Better value somewhere else.

Amazing apartments & hotel

I booked this as a last minute 1 night stay as our flight home had been cancelled and I wish I'd booked this from the off.
Check in is from 4 but due to us moving hotels we arrived around 12, we knew we wouldn't be able to check in and was happy waiting around at the pool while our room was prepared, less than 5 minutes of being at the pool and a lady from reception came down to say out room was ready.
Amazing apartment, we had a 1 bedroom. Very clean and modern. Plenty of space. Everything you need in them.
Lovely big clean reception area with friendly staff.
Bar down at the pool area where you can get drinks and snack. Few games down there too.
I would 100% recommend this hotel and we'll definitely return.

This was a definite A for us , loved how clean and modern this was , but if I have to complain on something it would the the Beds , that we were not impressed we were hoping for one double bed at least but we got 2 single beds which we understand is typical for here but they were not comfortable to sleep , that was the only down fall the rest A from the Hotel to pool to grounds and to the coffee / Bar by the Pool just loved , we will return and hopefully they can do something about the Beds

First room we were given had a terrible smell in the wardrobe.
Requested that we change rooms, to be told nothing could be done until morning.
In the morning it was suggested cleaners have a look…I stood my ground and request a new apartment, finally got changed.
No entertainment at night.
Corridors very dark and had to find light switches to get to rooms was difficult.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious and very clean (daily cleaning), as is the entire property. The pool area is great, the staff at the reception is wonderful. Reception is like in a good hotel. We were very at ease. The price was excellent for the quality. To note: there was no coffee maker in our unit (not a big deal as we had a kettle and purchased instant coffee), and the street is a little noisy, as are some of the guests, so bring earplugs if you have a light sleep. But really, these were minor inconveniences for us, we give it 2 thumbs up, especially on a budget!

Wonderful Stay!

We had an excellent stay here at Flor da Rocha, friendly welcome, super clean, comfortable apartment, well equipped, great air conditioning facility, variety of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful beaches! The pool area was spacious, well maintained. Even the poolside toilets were spotlessly clean!!!!

We enjoyed every minute and are already planning on returning! Thank you for a memorable stay😊

The apartments and the grounds were spotlessly clean. Cleaners came in everyday and clean towels were provided daily. The kitchen came with washing up liquid and tea towels, which was great, BUT no tin opener!
The beds very very hard and played havoc with my back, but cannot put the apartments down for that!

Had a great stay at Flor da Rocha. It is located close to the beaches, the apartment was clean, the pool was nice and the facilities were in good condition. Nice gym and spa. The apartment was really big and bright. Friendly staff. Comfy beds, nice big shower and a kitchen with all the necessary cooking equipment and a large fridge and freezer. Really enjoyed my time, thanks a lot!

Could be better

The property had ants in the kitchen and when advised we were told that they can put any killer and if not gone change the room. The next day there were ants everywhere, all the rooms and bathroom. Very poor customer service. Air conditioning only available in the kitchen/sitting room area in normal summer conditions you would need air con in the rooms as well.

The location is great. The walk to the beach is quick. Supermarkets wereclose ny to buy what we needed. There are market stalls along the beach. The hotel was always clean and staff very friendly. Only issue we had were the beds -they are very firm. We dod not sleep well on them.

The rooms were very clean and well appointed, pool area was lovely with more than sufficient loungers and good space.

While the room prices represented good value for money the bar area was expensive for what you got.

The reception staff were pleasant and helpful at all times.

Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would return again.

The front desk service was excellent from the moment we checked in and with any questions or concerns we had. The hotel is less than a 10 minutes to the beach. The room was fantastic full working kitchen, pull out sofa, dining table, balcony, and separate bedroom and bathroom with free parking. The pool was beautiful they also have a game room, snack bar, and a little spa. It was so great that we stayed an extra night. Would go back in a heart beat.

Great hotel!

Two bedroom apartment was big and modern. Location was close to local beach and parking was easy & free. Hotel employees were helpful and friendly.
Only place for improvement was the kitchen wasn't as well stocked as it should be. No soap or scrubbers etc. Also there is some construction nearby that was a bit noisy on weekday mornings.
Overall fantastic place and we'd stay there again!

Could have been better

If more time was spent on cleaning the apartments, the overall experience would have been much better. The cleanliness was bellow average particularly on the floor and bathroom - which made us feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless it was average for the rest of the apartment. We know that we arrived on the high peak season while the hotel was fully booked, so this might have affected the cleaning services.
The apartments are spacious, with a reasonably equipped kitchenette. Beds were confortable and clean. The living room has a sofa-bed and a big flat screen ( above average) and a dinning area. There’s also a big balcony: however our bedroom was facing a side street, not much solar exposure and there was a building in construction works nearby, so we didn’t use it much. We believe there are better apartments, probably those facing the swimming pool or main entrance.
What we enjoyed the most: location ( walking distance to the beach, supermarket, public transports nearby) ,private parking and the swimming pool (great swimming pool)!

Close to the beach...

Overall the apartment was pleasant, there were a few issues with broken window door locks but there were shutters that we used instead.

Modern Apartments

Newly renovated and modern apartments just a short stroll to the strip of Praia da Rocha. The room was excellent and well equipped. Very clean and tidy. The facilities are slightly disappointing - the bar served sandwiches or burgers (no chips) and was very bad value for money. The staff also leave a lot to be desired but for the price we paid it was a great place to stay.

Good value for money

Nice holiday apartments, good value for money. The hotel location is excellent, close walking distance from the Praia da Rocha beach and the beach side street with most of the restaurants, shops, bars and pubs. At the same time it's far enough so you don't get any of the noise. The 24h receptions is also a big plus. The pool was nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly.

Close to bars, food and beach

Had a hen do here, great location, lovely little beach close by, couple of bars and nightclub within walking distance too. Unfortunately there were a few fights one day by the pool involving one guest, police weren't called until 4th time, staff did try to take him off a few times and didn't escalate over to us but killed the vibe a bit and shame wasn't removed from the hotel altogether. Ended up staying at beach next day to avoid, so still had lovely stay.

Large apartment near beach amd restaurants

Just returned from a great week at Flor da Rocha. Staff helpful and friendly. Basic furniture but everything you need in this large one bedroom apartment. Definitely returning next year. Only down full is the lack of air conditioning but we managed. Pool area was cleaned and washed down every day. 10 minutes to a beautiful beach and restaurants.

Excellent location - 5 mins to the gorgeous beach and main street.
Friendly helpful staff in all areas of the apartment block.
Ladies take note.... no hair dryer....so make sure you take your own.
No Air con or fans to hire but two sets of patio doors on the balcony to open - which let in a nice breeze.
Very clean, large spacious apartment.
Poolside gets the sun am, reception side gets the sun pm

Apartment: it was very clean and well looked after

We found that the times of the bar and bar food varied every day even although it is advertised until midnight, we found it closed some days at 19.00, we asked 5 times for some extra pillows 3 but never got them, we ask for 4 days in a row to borrow an iron this never happened, I think the front desk members of staff could do with a bit of training on customer service, so that they can try and say yes rather than just being ignored.

I usually never complain about hotels. my sister and I were travelling around staying in cheap hostels so we were really excited to stay somewhere nice, but it was pretty disappointing. The staff was so rude, we asked where there was a store to buy food and they said they didn't know and asked how to get to the city centre we were told we needed to figure it out ourselves. Our blinds were broken and didn't close and they said they would fix it but didn't. There was also no hot water but at this point we didn't even want to tell the staff because it was clear they didn't want any thing to do with us. Should have stayed in a cheaper hostel where at least we could shower and people are friendly!

Almost everything was perfect. Nice location of the apartments, plenty of free parking, clean and modern apartments, 24/7 reception, swimming pool and other amenities. Only problem is that we were on the top floor and water was leaking from the roof in the kitchen (it rained heavily on this day). As this happened on our last night at the hotel, it didn't really bother us.
