Room is a bit dated but very clean. Pillows need updating, very lumpy. My bedside lamp was held together by duct tape. But great location so i would consider staying again if in Praia da Rocha.

No the kitchen was missing a few items. I also did not have my emergency kit even though I asked for it several times.

A little disappointed

We've stayed at this place many times before and were very pleased. This time, not so much. Booked back in March and asked for a room facing the ocean. Didn't get it, got a room facing the road, very noisy. Had trouble with the door lock. One night, at 12:30 AM, took me half hour to open the door. The cylinder just kept going around without latching on to mechanistic of the dead bolts. Also w cleaning ladies were very rude. Once we were getting ready at 5:00 pm to go out, showering and get ready. They came to clean the room, I asked them \"can you give us 5 more minutes to get ready\", the answer was no, if we don't clean it now, we will not clean it, we are very busy.

This was a great location and a comfortable stay. We upgraded to the 2 bedroom for our family stay and the hotel reception couldnt do enough for us. The pool was big..it says theres a minimarket onsite but i didnt find one however there is a supermarket right opposite. The view was stunning. This was our first stay outside of a 'hotel complex' and we wouldnt hesitate to go back

The proximity to the beach and restaurants was excellent.
The apartment itself was just okay. The dishes were what we would take camping!! We actually ended up buying mugs and wine glasses as there weren't any provided.
The pull out couches definitely need to be replaced. Not sure what they would be like to sleep on but way too uncomfortable to sit on. I think they are as old as the 20 year old building. The cleaners did an okay job with what they had. Unfortunately they didn't have a vacuum so after an extended time there a vacuum should have been used.
Having a washer was a bounus as well as the 2 balconies and a beach view. The front desk was helpful with any concers we had.
We also loved the pool and it was well maintained. Just wish they had a pressure washer to clean the bird poop off the chairs. Also new chair padding should be ordered. Most of what's there is cracked and torn.

VIP perks from Expedia are a joke. Yes, I received a bottle of wine but had to pay for internet access. Was not offered or given any upgrade nor late check out.
Property was ok. Specific unit was poorly lit. Kettle was broken and heating unit didn’t work. Location and parking was good and building security is good.

Great location, but really run-down and without much care put into the space. The bedroom was the only okay room, the bathroom was dirty and smelled when we got there and the common space was really unpleasant (scratchy furniture, dirty, bad decor, and smelled like cigarettes). The location was great and bed itself was fine for one night but definitely wouldn’t book again because the apartment overall was just gross.

Walk everywhere with a lot of vendors Restaurants Casino nearby. The only thing that I probably did not like is the access to the beautiful beaches there were a lot of stairs. Otherwise, great!

When you pull up outside you may think you have arrived at the wrong place, judging by the photos online.. don't be fooled by it's modest outside. These apartments are gorgeous. Views are spectacular. Everything is a couple of minutes walk. There is a pizza place right underneath with fantastic pizzas. The staff in jardins are very helpful and friendly. We were on the 23rd floor. But a lift goes all the way. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. We will be back

Different direction very nice views from both balconies. Great location-beach, restaurants, souvenirs/grocery stores, coffee shops. Check-in and out very easy and smooth thanks to professional lady behind the desk. Pool area kind of messy with unused sun-loungers dumped wherever the same way since our day one until day eight. Room cleanliness could improve a bit-towels and sheet had been changed, and bins emptied, but floors untouched after last guests through our stay. Overall had good time, would recommend if you are average spender.

The property was lovely and right near the beach and supermarket which was great. Most staff were very pleasant. Housekeepers were very sweet.

Kitchen was equipped with pots pans plates cutlery etc which was great but no soap or sponges to do the dishes so we struggled to clean everything thoroughly.

Pool was gorgeous but was only open after 9am until 8pm which was a shame as i like to wake up at 6am and go for a swim and again later at night around 10pm. No lifeguard was ever on duty so not sure why it had to bo limited opening times. Pool was quiet at 9am which was nice but as the day goes on is surrounded by children who don't go in the kids pool and are very splashy not much room to swim and it seems their parents don't tell them to leave some room for people to swim or sunbathe in peace. Thats on the parents tho not necessarily the hotel.

Reception staff wouldn't give us an extra towel and due to limited bag space we hadn't brought any. I manage a hotel myself and couldn't understand why we couldn't have and extra towel or two.

This hotel is set up for stays of several days with a full kitchen. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel was a block away from the beach. The free Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. Wi-Fi in the room costs extra. The hotel advertises that all rooms are non-smoking, but it was obvious that the previous visitor had been smoking in our room. When we complained, the cleaning staff came up and sprayed with a deodorizer. An ashtray was provided on the balcony. There are lots of restaurants in walking distance. Parking was in a free lot next to the hotel. There was no trash can in the kitchen.

We had an enjoyable week at Jardins Da Rocha. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a small but sufficient pool. The apartments are very convenient for the beach and local restaurants.
The rooms are little bit dated and could do with a make over but they are kept reasonably clean. We had a couple of small issues with our room which were rectified with good grace and efficiency.
Charging for WiFi access in the rooms seems a little bit retrograde in this day and age.

The picture on hotels.com shows a room with an ocean view. Not true. Mattress was sagging in the middle. Only 5 hangers to hang clothes on. You had to ask front desk for a hairdryer and iron. No laundry facilities.
The place had a rundown feeling. Couch had stains. Very basic apartment. Location was good.

First time we stayed here 11 years ago when it was an almost new apartment I guess. We thought it was quite nice back then. This time we got a bit disappointed with a few things, such as hot water is very limited, our first room was smell so we had to change it to 4th floor, but the whole floor is still smell of cigarettes and toilet. the bed and sofa are terrible old and molded. We choosen this place because of the location. As we come to Portimao lots so we know the area well. With the spring price and redeem from nectar points, it came very cheap so we though to give it ago again. But It won't be for us next time. To be fair it can be quite good for someone with a low budget but want some where just to sleep in a good location, go for it! kitchen and fridge is very useful, also there is a washing machine but no dryer. We didn't use it coz there's not enough sun in March to dry stuffs.

This is an older hotel and the rooms are smaller with limited views but they are clean, beds are comfortable and staff are very friendly. Breakfast was basic but good.

Location is fantastic and you can literally walk everywhere!

Hotel can be a little hard to find in the old town and note that if you have a car, parking is in a very busy central garage so a 10 minute walk with your luggage to the hotel.

We originally had a problem finding it but did eventually find it, it is right on the sea front with sea view from the room. The receptionist was very pleasant and spoke good English.
The room was a good size with a small kitchen with a washing machine, but no iron or hair dryer ! The cooking equipment was adequate the bathroom roomy and clean. The TV had one side that sometimes had English or American films on it but easy to stream British live TV on line, but you do have to pay for the internet 1.50 euros a day in the bedroom, but it is free down in reception.
There are 2 swimming pools both large and clean but outside.
Nicely positioned for the beach, restaurants and bars and does have free parking if you have a hire car.

Good location, 5 minutes to the beautiful Rocha beach. Lots of good dining choices within walking area.
The condo is spacious, and had a full kitchen. We didn't use it at all, but good to keep it in mind next time when we visit. It also has a washing machine, which is great! But drying the clothes is a bit of pain, since there is no dryer.
Parking is a bit far and inconvenient. But it doesn't matter if you not going other beaches.

Convenient, well located hotel near beaches

We rented this on behalf of our very picky family members. They called us when they arrived and were very happy with the room. They were happy to have a small kitchen that they could make meals in and a fridge they could stock from the local grocery store to save on meals. They appreciated being able to just make some breakfast and take some sandwiches to the beach rather than have to eat out every meal.

Overall we had a great stay here. The staff (besides the night porter who wasn't the best welcome for a late arrival) couldn't have been more helpful with various queries and requests. Staying in a sea-view high floor room is like being on a cruise ship with the fantastic views. The studios were a decent size and had everything you could need, they were cleaned regularly and to a high standard. Five mins walk to a lovely beach, and the 'strip', and about 20 mins walk into Portimao to take a break from the strip! Would stay there again if I returned to the area. For the last day after check out there are good showers by the pool and they will give you towels and store your luggage.

Good stay in a nice high-rise seaside apartment block at a reasonable cost. Helpful staff and good sized 1 bedroom apartment. Only a few negatives - our room view was of the main road rather than the sea (so don't build your hopes up), minor queuing for lifts in this 25 floor block and so many sun beds next to the swimming pool were broken (new sun beds badly needed). The high floors not ideal for young children and ground floor noisy.

Amazing views from hotel close to beach

We enjoyed staying in an apartment on the 24th floor with amazing ocean views. Very clean and had everything we needed to cook meals in - home away from home style. Surprisingly, considering the hotel was fully booked with families (July booking) it was very quiet and calm. The housekeeping staff and receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is literally minutes to walk from the beach, and there are several mini supermarkets to buy supplies from at the door of the hotel. We didn't use the pool but it looked very clean and there was a relaxing miniature garden with shady flowering trees and swings for children, the hotel seemed very 'dog friendly' where we enjoyed seeing lots of little pooches walking around enjoying their holidays with their owners.

Location was fantastic and we had a great seaview. Room was comfortable but lacked any comfortable seating. Real low point was finding cockroaches!!! Killed a few in bathroom and kitchen and cleaners failed to remove one that was left in bathroom. Another concern was the fact that the fridge door didn't close easily. I hope it was just our apartment because as I already said location was fantastic.

Great for all

Just back from a four day Photo shoots stay at the Jardins da Rocha. Was located on the 21th. floor with a
fantastic seaview from our balcony. We had a tree bed studio, which was plenty big enough
and huge bathroom, plenty of hot water and clean towels, which were changed daily.
I never saw a more equiped kitchen, even had a washing machine ! Even though we dined out
every night, everything was there if you wanted to cook at home! which I,m sure a lot of people
do.
There,s a kiddie's pool and a good size adult pool also, with free sun beds and a nice garden area.
The beach is one of the best in the world with one end a vast sandy area with a boardwalk and about a dozen bar/cafes and the other made up of smaller ones with giant rock formations seperating them, although at certain tide times you are able to walk from one to the other.
There's plenty of restuarants in Praia da Rocha, good food at a reasionable price.
Overall the staff they were so helpful, and all spoke fluent English and would definetly stay there again, it was very good value and location.
Oh and by the way the weather was just fantastic wall to wall sunshine!!

This hotel is steps from everything. An awesome beach, a pedestrian only strip with many shops and restaurants, other shopping nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. fantastic view of the ocean. The room was clean and well equipped but the beds were small and not very comfortable. Overall an excellent to place to stay.

One night stay at the algarve

We chose this hotel for a one night stay before checking into our weekly stay. The apartment was very please. The beds were hard but for one night it did not matter. We had a very nice view. The hotel was near restaurants and beach so once we checked in we could walk to everything. Area caters more to a younger traveler so it is not an area I would stay in for a week, but if you like the area, the hotel was great

Love the view!!!!

Amazing view of the ocean!!!!!!!. Convenience to the beach (litterally a two minute walk). This is in reference to our room we had (1206), the largest apartment plan of that whole floor and two large balconies, both with the view of the ocean: one off the living room and the other off the bedroom. Helpful staff: had a slight problem with coffee maker, mentioned it on our way out, and immediately took care of the problem. The furniture is very simple but functional. Ideal if you want to save some $$, can make simple suppers with the kitchen supplies. A very accessible building: gas stations, markets, restaurants and pharmacy all close by.

Lovely apartment for 3 lads

Really nice apartment and complex. The hotel no longer has a pizzeria and does not have a bar or food of any type. Other than that, really nice place to stay!

great view and right on the beach

Great place to stay with a beautiful view from the balcony. Only strange thing was there was no way to close the balcony door from the balcony so while sitting out there the air conditioning had to run full blast in the room.

Great place!

Really happy with the hotel! Stayed on the 25th floor, The view was amazing, rooms cleaned every day and very spacious! The staff was bind and helpful, very close to beach. Only one negative is the paid wifi which is also available only at the reception!!!

It was a nice apartment, but didn't have the expected amenities. There was a small full kitchen, but no dishsoap, washcloth or sponge of any kind to wash dishes with. We had to go out and buy it. There were no beach towels, had to go out and buy them. There was a dust bin (where the edge had worn off) but no broom. I asked twice on the first day for a broom because of the sand my son brought in. It never showed up as they promised. When I went down again they told me the maids had left and it was too late. I asked for a broom the next day. Again a broom was promised. An hour later I went down again and asked for a broom (this being the 4th time). The manager said the maids were busy getting the rooms ready and that he would get one. Finally he showed up with a broom, a really beat up one, but I was happy to have something to sweep the sand away. I was tired of walking on it for a day and a half. Had to use a paper to get it up since the dust bin was worn out and didn't work well. Apparently, no one told the maid that I had gotten a broom. She showed up at 6:00 pm, many hours after I asked, with a broom. Really bad service. Also, on the door of the room it stated that there was daily maid service. We didn't get any maid service. I would not stay at this hotel again.

ready to book my return!

Overall the condo was great, and the price could not be beat! The place was very spacious and had an excellent view of the water. The only small complaint I did have is that the hot water ran out. So make sure to keep your showers quick! The staff was very friendly and easily accommodated my request for late check out. I would definitely return.

now when we know how to find it

now when we know how to find it (which due to lack af neonsign to us about an hour and 4 drivebyes on a dark evening), we will definitively consider staying there again. Very helpfull staff and cleaning more often than promised up front (every day but sunday).

hotel and parking very close to the main shops and bars, Reception staff good English and helpful. Apartment was spotless very clean and good beds and furniture. Only the shower was disappointing, old fashioned , hand held , little pressure.

Apartamento em mau estado de conservação, velho. Frigorífico não fazia frio, cozinha sem exaustor e com gordura nas portas dos móveis, estendal da roupa com ferrugem e a cair. Poucos ou nenhuns utensílios de cozinha, não tinha máquina de café, lavar a loiça nem de roupa.
Má experiência de férias em família.
Preço extremamente elevado para fraco alojamento.
