This hotel is a great place to stay. Central to the boardwalk which is a lovely walk and the beach is so nice and clean. The hotel is very close to bars, restaurants and shopping.

It was the best room ever!

The staff were nice and most of all, they helped me check in right away even though I came earlier than the check‑in time!

The room was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was good!
The breakfast was delicious, too!
Everything was perfect!

The best part was that there was an ocean in front of the hotel, so it was good to take a walk and to tan!
I would like to visit here again later!

Staff were lovely and rooms really clean. No complaints about the hotel.

The resort was pretty much closed though, hard to even find a place for dinner. I know it’s out of season but this was dead. Would be hard without a car.

Loved the direct ocean front room! Beautiful views and you see the sunrise and sunset in your room(winter time). Friendly staff. Enjoyed breakfast fully. Restaurant opens relatively late by US standard but we enjoyed the sandwiches even just from the bar.

Access to the beach was via steps with a rope being slightly disabled having had a knee operation I found this unsafe and difficult to access as the rope was very loose at times. We had difficulty getting breakfast the first morning as it was so busy so we went elsewhere, the second morning we managed to get breakfast which was disappointing as the hot menu was very cold.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The beach view was amazing. Our room was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the pool. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of choices. Yes breakfast time is busy but really no different here than any other hotel (tip - if you go early for breakfast 7:30am it was not at all busy). The staff were mostly friendly and accommodating with the exception of the man working the lobby bar (we found him to be quite rude). We would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will definitely return again. We had previously stayed at the Jupiter, even though that was a nice hotel, we would return to the Hotel Algarve Casino in a heartbeat. We LOVED our stay here.❤️

MISLEADING HOTEL.

Not a five star hotel, as they say, ‘all fur coat and no knickers’ the public areas were in good condition but the bedroom was very dated. The flooring of tiles, I would estimate went back to the 90’s, the furniture possibly more recent but to try to paint hard wood polished doors in white is amateurish. The rooms are run down and very noisy because of the flooring.
On the same subject one of your images is of a bedroom with blue carpeting, very misleading when clearly the majority of the rooms on the 4th floor are apparently tiled.

directly on the beach. beautiful hotel however my ipad and the case for my samsung pad went missing!!! my fault..i left it charging however, this should not happen. either the room service or the maintenance guy that came for the air conditioning.

The location is brilliant. The pool is amazing and the beach access is so convenient.
The breakfast was ok but the cups werent clean and there were flies around the fruit table. The hotel is dated but it makes up for this with the amazing pool and views of the beach and sea. I wouldnt stay here again and would prefer a more modern hotel.

We received a free bottle of wine and a basket of fruit as we are VIP members of Expedia. This was a nice touch.

We stayed at this hotel about three times now. We like to come over for a night as we generally stay in lagos. We enjoy going to the beach club in this hotel is a great base.

Very nice hotel right on the beach. The location is great and amenities like the spa, pool and casino are nice. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the rooms could use some updates. We had 3 rooms, all were nice with a balcony and ocean view but one room was having problems with ants. Also there are no USB ports in the room for charging phones. Even budget hotels in the US have multiple USB ports either built into the outlets or built in to the beside lamps.

This is not a 5 star hotel, it is a 1 to 3 start hotel,
Ac was not working, 4 times we asked the to fix the issue and at 11 pm they were still working on it and we couldn’t go to our room to go sleet, after 2 days we asked for fan to use in the room, so we have some air circulating.
The WiFi would not work in the room.
Some staff were nice, but some were not.
So disappointed with this hotel.

Overall, we had a nice time but mainly because of the beach and the area. We arrived an hour early and asked if our room was ready, to which the lady sarcastically replied “No! We are fully booked so we’ll call you when your room is ready at 3:00”. So we headed to the beach and waited for the call - nobody ever called us. We returned around 6:30 and found our room had been ready for awhile but nobody bothered to call. The staff seem overwhelmed, disorganized and unhappy. When we asked for a later checkout, we were told no, again they were fully booked. When I said it was so we could pack our belongings since we arrived from a morning kayak tour, he said fine, but just to grab our luggage.
When we came to the buffet breakfast right when they opened to ask if we could take food to go since we had an early morning kayak tour, we were told no so we inhaled our breakfast in 5 min.
The building seams rooms seem quite dated and due for an upgrade. The bottom of the pool floor was lifting and bubbling up. The rooms were dated and the bathroom had a half-glass wall by the shower that still didn’t block the water from spraying over the floor. There was also a faucet under the sink, not sure what that’s about.
The gentleman who helped us with our luggage and parking upon arrival was the exception, so lovely and we were grateful to him.
This place has potential if they invest in upgrades and customer service training for staff. Location was great, close to many restaurants and shops.

The entire property seemed to be old and worn. Not a good vacation vibe. One tower had two elevators but only one in service for days. Balcony beach view room was ancient. Getting to it was a maze. No elevator from ground floor to the floor the room was on. You had to go Down stairs. Then a long walk then down more stairs. Getting to the room was a serious annoyance. From the beach pool area you had to walk up a circular staircase. Then across a long out of date abandoned corridor. Then down the stairs back to the floor you started on and another long corridor. The room was clean. I can’t really say anything else good about it. The included breakfast was not worth the time or effort or crowds. Tired boring substandard food and coffee. Poorly organized buffet. Not worth eating it. The staff looked tired and miserable. The beach was nice but a little further down there were much more beautiful unique beaches with outcroppings and tunnels and caves. Also a bit further west there was a lot of food fun and better by far hotels. I would
Never go back to the Argarve casino hotel. You can rent beach chairs from any of the hotels even if you are not a guest. You could really enjoy the most stunning beaches on this strip by brining your own blanket and umbrella. Then you can pick a spot that is visually unique to put your stuff down. Bottom line stay west of the Argarve Hotel Casino. We still enjoyed Portimao. It’s a fun nice beach town.

Just spend a week at Algarve Casino. The property was lovely and ideally located close to the main street and the beach. We had lovely sea views from our room which in itself was spacious. Some parts of the hotel feel a bit dated but that did not take away from the overall impressions.

The seawater pool was nice and warmer than that sea. No issues with getting a sunlounger but I can imagine during peak season there might not be enough.

Food for breakfast was good with loads of choices. We did not use the restaurant for lunch or dinner so cannot really provide an opinion.

Staff were generally friendly and tried to help when we had any queries. Overall a lovely place to stay.

No tenia parking cerca. Era lejos del hotel.Si las habitaciones de abajo ( piso -0 -1 y -2) no cuentan con un ascensor que suba al lobby..gue horrible el transporte de maletas..La decoración del hotel muy vieja , despitados los muebles. Los señores de la puerta del restaurante y el del restaurante del casino no aceptan personas después de las 9 pm y te envian de un restaurante al otro dando excusas irreales .

It seems that if your room is seaview in main building you’re in for a lovely stay. We however booked short notice over Easter and decided to upgrade from city view to sea view before seeing room anyway. We were surprised and pleased that this was no problem. What we didn’t know is there are a few rows of rooms separate to main building that have obvs not yet been updated. So yes we had a sea view, the room was spacious and clean. But floor tiles were so old and faded they were worn away in places and smell of sewage coming from drains was overpowering! We managed by keeping loo door shut. Overall staff very friendly and lots of lounging areas inside and out. Great position right on beach too.

Great hotel, excellent location and facilties. Right next to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
Agree with others that it isn't a modern 5 star, probably more like a good 4 star but it was very clean and had everytbing you need.
Bed was comfy, plenty of wardrobe space and good size balcony over looking the beach.
