I very much enjoyed my stay here! The hotel is immaculately clean and seems like it was updated very recently. Very comfortable beds. lovely spa. The front desk was very helpful in helping me book tours which I really enjoyed. It is very centrally located as well which was nice for exploring.

The location is across the street from the ocean. The hotel lobby is well laid out, spotless and bright. The dining room staff operates like an orchestra of efficiency. The quality and choices of food in the dining room are great. My room was small and I would recommend a larger room for two people.

Oh, this place. It’s been so lovely. Spacious, spotlessly clean and genuinely friendly from the moment you walk in. The vibe is calm, relaxed and quietly brilliant.

Breakfast deserves its own round of applause 👏 - honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen. Everything you could possibly want: smoked salmon, Parma ham, endless varieties of bread, eggs in every imaginable form, pancakes, quiche (my personal favourite 😍) and yes… even a full English if that’s your thing 😉. It really is the ultimate start to the day.

The location is spot on - just above the beach. There is a fairly steep walk back up from Praia da Rocha, but with moderate fitness it was absolutely fine for me and totally worth it.

The pool is gorgeous 🏊‍♀️, the gym is properly good, and the spa is genuinely world-class - calm, luxurious and exactly what you want when you’re there to rest and reset. It’s such a good value stay.

A couple of very minor niggles, just to be balanced: our view wasn’t the best (first floor, mostly roof), and the bed wasn’t the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, but I am a hideous insomniac, so take that with a pinch of salt 😅.

Food-wise, we can absolutely recommend Carninho for delicious ribs and classic Portuguese dishes and Le Dolce Vita for pizza, friendly fun service and the most unique, delicious prawn starter 🍤.

All in all - top marks to Jupiter Algarve Hotel & Spa!

Everything was clean and staff was very courteous and friendly. The morning breakfasts were delicious and very satisfying. The pool was always crowded however and the no leaving towels for more than an hour was not enforced. We could not enjoy the pool for that reason as not enough areas to sit.

Location is excellent, close to the beach and to the main restaurent and shopping strip. The pool was a bit small and can be crowded, but ok overall. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety.

Only two minor complaints, there is no short term parking to check-in if you are arriving by vehicle. You have to check-in before you enter the garage, a bit inconvenient. Book the garage in advance it, is small and can fill up quickly.

The other issue is the elevator, they only have 2 slow elevators so be readyto wait. I used the stairs most of the time to go up and down 5 floors, not a major issue, but you have to be patient.

It a excellent hotel - enjoyed very much - it is what we need for our R&R. Loved the Spa facilities. Everything i.e. Beach, nearby Restaurant are excellent and enjoyed daily inc boat rise to the caves and seen Dolphins. I'm marking this hotel for our next visit if we are making plan to visit Algarve again.

First room we were given was 'cute' but not as per the pictures or expectations. Having been to this hotel 6 times I was aware there were rooms with better sea views for the money, and also with showers rather than a shower over the bath, difficult to get in to and unexpected. Basically the pictures shown on Expedia for the room type was 'false' advertising as the room we were given was not as per the photos. We upgraded, but discussions with management on the room given initally left a sour taste. Room and view is very important to us hence as we can't guarentee what room in a certain 'category of room' we will be given, sadly we will not be staying at Hotel Jupiter again or recomending to friends and family as we have been doing. Overall, during our time we have spent here, the hotel has gone downhill and isn't as 'special' as it once was. The beds are still comfortable though and most of the staff friendly, but there are other hotels in the area we will be trying out instead.

Very difficult to get to the hotel since you need a code to get to the front lobby. No parking available for guests when checking in. No air conditioning in lobby! Property was just ok. Good luck on having the front desk handle any issues with your reservation. Will not stay here again.

I was there for a festival and they put us in a 1st floor room with a view of maybe the hotel restaurant’s roof. All we saw was bird crap on the roof. Not very attractive. The staff was excellent though.

Le service et la nourriture étaient excellents. Par contre, La première nuit, la climatisation dans notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas. Il y a eu de la musique très forte jusqu’à 23h30 le samedi et le lundi. Le lundi matin, l’immeuble adjacent est en construction et donc on s’est fait réveiller à 8h par des coups frappés très fort dans le mur de notre lit, on avait la dernière chambre au bout, donc le mur mitoyen avec l,immeuble en rénovation… alors notre sommeil a été très dérangé pendant notre séjour…

My recent stay at Jupiter Algarve Hotel exceeded every expectation and made for an unforgettable holiday on Portugal’s stunning southern coast. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable – right on Praia da Rocha beach, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic and easy access to the vibrant beachfront promenade. It’s the perfect base for exploring Portimão and the wider Algarve region.

Our room was immaculately clean, modern, and stylishly decorated, with a spacious balcony and comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep.

One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which was varied and delicious, featuring everything from fresh fruit and pastries to made-to-order eggs.

The outdoor pool area was well-maintained and never too crowded, and the hotel spa offered a fantastic range of treatments – perfect for a bit of pampering. There was even live music in the evenings, adding a lovely ambiance to our nights.

I loved my stay here… The front desk staff were incredibly helpful… Everyone was so kind an accommodating. When I booked a third night after deciding it was just too wonderful to leave after two nights… Your staff made sure there was a flawless transition and I didn’t have to move rooms… It was very helpful and appreciated. They also gave me great recommendations for dinners… there was one gentleman at the desk who was especially helpful. I can’t recall his name specifically, but he was the one who made all the transitions so smooth for my additional booking. … And insured my parking validation would continue without any disruption. Underground parking was also a very grateful addition to ensure minimal stress related to parking!

I’ll be back for sure - the proximity of the beach was incredible… and though I didn’t get a chance to take in your Spa, I love that you could do the spa circuit for a very minimal fee.

The nightly music always seem popular with the guest as I was passing through… Created a good energy in the space.

Thanks again for making my trip very memorable.

We have travelled a lot, but this hotel is outstanding for customer service. Every single member of staff is friendly, professional and appears to actually care about you. We arrived to the Jupiter Algarve with what we thought, was a confirmed reservation. However, the booking agency, never forwarded our reservation. The shock of this revelation was daunting as we could see the hotel was busy - 98% occupancy. Pedro at reception was calm, reassured us and advised us to have a drink while he sorted things. Next Clara, guest relations manager, and a truly wonderful person advised us that a room was available, unfortunately not the suite we booked, but a room for our 11 day holiday and a generous package.
The kindness of these people when we were in shock cannot be overstated. Our room was great, with a nice view. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was brilliant. Such a huge choice. Dinner, too was excellent and the themed nights were superb. Again a huge choice and a fish and seafood lovers dream. As a non fish eater, there was plenty of choice for me. Also vegetarian options.
This hotel is very well situated in Praia da Rocha, near everything, beach, restaurants and nightlife nearby. But it is the staff who make this hotel. Thank you, Clara, for a wonderful holiday

The Jupiter Hotel, Algarve was the most spectacular property that we have experienced for a very long time. The view from Room 801 was out of this world, the food was terrific but in particular the staff was the very, very exceptional. From the front desk staff, Parking Manager, restaurant staff, and room managers were spectacular. Meeting the General Manager and a young female team member in the elevator was the reason this property is special. Great leadership produces excellence! The Jupiter ensured our visit to Portugal was so special! Thank you for everything and we will certainly recommend the Jupiter to everyone we meet! Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦

The room was a little small for 3 adults( 2 adults and a 17 year old) and the bed was ok, but the mattress was a little hard. I should have booked a bigger room. The breakfast was very good, lots of options and plenty of room. They supply pool and beach towels. You have a safe in the room but you need to get a key for it, not very convenient. All in all we had a great stay and would still recommend it.

The Jupiter hotel is a lovely hotel located on the beachfront of Praia da Rocha.

Very friendly and helpful staff. High standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. We were on half board and the although there was a good range of food options sometimes they were not the tastiest or were lukewarm. Great range of fruit, plenty options of breakfast and always 2 soups and plenty dessert options.

The pool was alway immaculate, very comfortable to lie out in or enjoy a drink or food in the shade. A big bar and plenty seating indoors with plenty large screens for watching sport.

Good gym and nice looking spa - although we never used it! We would certainly return.

First of all, the hotel is not accessible by car. When we arrived, the front desk suggested us to leave the car in the bus stop and drag all our pieces of luggage 2 blocks to reach the hotel. After the checkin, the front desk gave us completely wrong information about the public parking close by.

The hotel has live music till midnight in the amenities and it looked the band was playing inside my room. Asked to the front desk about the music and they mentioned they would lower the volume but never did. If you expect to sleep before midnight, don’t come to this hotel.
On the next day, we asked for swimming pool towels, but, of coarse, no one was on the towel station till after 9am.
Room service provided only one towel and didn’t fill up the shower soap and it ended in the middle of my shower. Called front desk and they took 35 min to take it, so I was waiting to finish my shower while that.
The front desk and people related to the issues didn’t say at least “sorry” for the bad services at any moment and it looked we are the ones bothering them.
The hotel says it is a 4 star hotel, but this is an Ibis with larger rooms, lobby and restaurant super decadent.
1st floor rooms have the windows right close to the roofing and, for few times, random people were walking in the roofing looking inside the rooms.
