When we checked in, staff was extremely professional and nice. Room was spacious. Extremely close to the train station which made our trip super convenient!

Only area of opportunity was cleanliness a bit, for couch - one of the arms was broken, and when I sat on it felt like it has not been cleaned a while. It may not be the case and it’s entirely possible that it was just a super old couch. in the room they did provide Fan! But we had to open windows all night as it was extremely hot, and with the windows open it got a little loud because of the trains. If you are a light sleeper or run warmer, something to think about. I am not a light sleeper so I was fine with that.

Large room which was well noise insulated. Unfortunately the room was just too hot even with the temporary additional air conditioning unit. As the hotel was near a busy road and construction work was also going on having the windows open at night just wasn’t an option for us.

I liked that hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was not exactly what I expected. They are unfortunately right in the middle of a major road construction (not their fault, obviously) which made it complicated to reach on foot and taxis had to make a detour to access the hotel from the back entrance.
It seems to be 2 buildings joined together. They are old buildings and the elevator was very small. Rooms are basic and have carpeted floors. Bathroom was very spacious.

By our second day, a large group of teenagers arrived and they were very noisy (as all teens are) and this could be heard sometimes at night or early in the morning, but it never was a major issue.

The buffet breakfast is good. The bread is awesome! Nothing fancy but perfect to start your day.

Front Desk closes at 10 pm so you have to access with your room key. There are several restaurants nearby and the metro station is located under the bridge.

The girl on the reception desk was very friendly and helpful,
Room was basic, but comfortable and had everything I needed.
Breakfast was disappointing on my last day there, very limited choice.
Hotel was not in the most interesting area of the town, and extensive roadworks outside didn't help. However, the hotel is opposite a main station with easy connections to the hauptbahnhof and city centre. So it is a convenient place to stay.

Lovely place to stay, whilst away from the city centre it was only a 10 minute tram ride to get there to where most of the tourist attractions are, or if you like to walk it was 40 minutes.
There were some good bars and cafes near by (about a 10 minute walk) which were great for relaxing

The room (“deluxe double “)was described as having a king size bed and a bathtub, instead had two single beds together and a shower.
The reception and main entrance closes at 10PM and after that you tap your room key to get in, unfortunately for us the first night of our stay the key didn’t work and we had to call a number and wait for somebody to come and let us in…
Overall it was an “ok” experience.

Fantastic stay. Family Room (s) was so spacious and comfortable. This family room has three separate rooms. Location is very close to Tram stations (5 minute walk). Staffs were so professional and helpful. A special thanks to the employee who was managing the breakfast and front desk at times, he was super cool, pleasant, friendly and helpful. Front desk staffs answered all questions patiently.
24 hours coffee (Nescafe) vending at 1 Euro per cup. Mint water available for free 24 hrs. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options.
Family room WiFi was not great but lobby WiFi was very good.

The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside and the immediate area is not much to look at either but I chose it because it was very affordable (for Vienna) and it was located right next to Matzleinsdorfer Platz train station. My room was spacious and very clean, the staff were very nice and WiFi worked fine. Vienna Central Station was only 1 stop away on the train and I could be at Karlzplatz and the Opera ring in the city centre in around 10-15 minutes using tram line 62.

The room was very spacious and clean.
The beds were very comfortable to sleep on.
The toilet smelt like someone had smoked in there previous to our stay.
Bathroom on the whole was very spacious and clean.
The doors to get in and out of the hotel are not automatic, which is hard for luggage to get in and out.
When checking out there was no staff member to say goodbye. Just had to drop door key in a box. That will definitely need to change in future for customers to clarify their check out before leaving hotel.
All in all, a good hotel.

First, the service was horrible.
Hotel was under construction which made even more inconvenience as some of the hotel doors were locked without any signs which means people had to figure their way in. Parking was about 3 blocks away from the hotel.
I was given a room with no hot water for shower and the sink was leaking all night and it had cracks in the sink, when I complained the receptionist said I am staying only one night thus they will figure it out next. Also during check in the receptionist said I am lucky enough to get a room there. The carpet in the room had stains. My experience with service was horrible, and overall stay.

So this hotel does not have in room WiFi as advertised it’s available in the check in halls and lobbies once you’re off of the elevator. After checking in and noticing the WiFi was not available in the room. The concierge told me I can be loaned a personal WiFi cube for 30 Euros or by giving them my passport to hold..

The hotel is quite good considering the price. It's located quite near a train station just about 50 metres away and for a new person to the area it's quite accessible. You find a lot of food shops close by and banks as well. A supermarket for groceries is also located nearby and the prices are reasonable. The hotel can still do better to add a personal touch to their service. I had a bad check in experience because I arrived too early (arrived from Africa after 10 hours overnight flight) and they had no room available. I just feel they could do something to make my 5 hours waiting comfortable. I must say however that their young man who took the next shift at the reception was more cheerful and eager to help even with my transport worries. Overall I enjoyed my stay!

Our family of three stayed for two nights during the first week of July. The hotel appears a bit run down, the air conditioner was ineffective and the telephone was not working. We reported this immediately on checking in but were told that maintenance staff would come only after the weekend. You can walk into the centre in about 30mins or take the tram. The tram is underground from this area and it is difficult to select the right direction. You pay on the tram and register your ticket. The base ticket was 2.30 euro and was for 1 direction only.

I think the staff should allocate the rooms and monitor their guests properly. Our room was between 2 rooms occupied by a group of teenage boys. They were walking across the hall with only underwear on, which was very uncomfortable for the rest of the guests. They were also very loud and disturbing at night.

Nice big room with very poor wifi

The location is not ideal. It is next to an highway entrance. Almost impossible to park and check in. The hotel parking is not easy to find and very hard to get into. Also the hotel parking cost 15 euro instead of 11 euro as advertise (they said the 11 euro is for parking in a parking structure 2 km away). The front dest staff is very nice. He helped parking my car. The wifi is almost impossible to use. I finally find a spot with little signal next to the front desk to send an arriving message. The hotel room is unexpected large (compare to the little room in most European hotels) with a double bed and a single bed. Air condition is very good. Bathroom is clean and pretty new. If they could improve the parking and wifi, it could be a 4 star hotel.

Frustrated after my arrival when I found out there was no business center, and no English speaking TV channels, only German, not good for people that doesn't speak/understand German, room was not made the first day, telephone in room not working for incoming calls/wake up calls, bell at the door not working, no \"Do not disturb\"/\"Make the Room\" cards at the door knob...not nice, won't stay there again.

We like the rooms coz its very spacious and clean.
But there is no kettle in the room😞 and the air condition is not working.

Positives: The hotel is very conveniently located near train stop, and surprising little noise from train or street. The room was nice and big, well furnished. Bathroom setup was a bit weird.
Neutral: There are no good eating places in walking distance, but it is very easy to get to main square for food options.
Negatives: The staff was not very helpful, almost rude. There was no hot water when we arrived and they pretty much dismissed it as - its your fault you are not using the taps right! Also they were of almost no help in giving tram directions to get to popular places. We wanted to some hot water for tea and again there was a dismissal. I had to walk down, literally go into the kitchen and ask someone when they pointed me to a coffee machine in far corner.

Stayed one night at a great price. The room was large and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station, and really I think it ticked all the necessary boxes. Also I recommend the Pizza takeaway opposite (not the restaurant that is also next to it, please do not get it confused), a very friendly father and son run this, and they made huge pizzas for just 10 euros!

I had a great stay at Allegro and would !00% recommend it, and i shall be stayed there again shortly.

We (myself and wife) stayed in allegro for 4 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The connectivity to public transport is excellent. The hotel staff was nice, English speaking and ready to help anytime. Though it is not in the heart of the city, it takes only 15 mins to reach there. The standard double room was pretty big. We didn't opt for breakfast as we could find cheaper options available inside metzeilensdorfer platz metro station. We enjoyed our stay in allegro and we recommend allegro with our experience.

Service was good, however, I would like to suggest that a dispenser for hot drinking water be provided. Although, far from the city center, the room was big, very spacious and location was quiet. We dont mind walking to the center as a form of exercise. Subway station is just near if you want to commute.

Great option in Margareten

Hotel Allegro is a very nice hotel in Margareten, right on Matzleinsdorfer platz. The location, though off the city center, is quite good, with great access to all of Vienna through public transport (tram, bus, S-bahn and close to the U-bahn, also with a CityBike rental spot right next to the hotel). The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable -- Natalia was especially great at giving helpful tips for making the most of my stay.
