The hotel has a great central location, within easy walking distance of central bus lines, Trevor fountain and Spanish steps.
The room was comfortable and a mini fridge, kettle and tea provided.
Staff were super helpful and friendly. Thank you for looking after us 😁

Beautiful old hotel in a fantastic location, very close to the Trevi Fountain. The staff is amazing; very friendly and welcoming. I even spent over an hour talking with one of the staff members, which made the experience feel very personal. I would definitely stay here again!

Desk staff very friendly. This poor review is because although I left the Do Not Disturb tag on my door and was vigilant about pulling the door shut as I stepped out for the day, upon returning, I saw my door was ajar and the do not disturb tag was tossed on the floor of my room.
I never use the safes and take my documents and valuables with me. Someone with a master key obviously entered and rummaged my room.
Nothing was stolen because nothing of value was left in my room.

We booked two rooms and are extremely happy with our stay. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy. Absolutely perfect location. They hotel receptionist, Rosa, was AMAZING! So helpful, caring and friendly. We highly highly recommend Hotel Julian!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel advertised an airport shuttle yet when we inquired about it they said they could call a taxi for us but there was no shuttle. Our safe did not lock. The whole place is dingy and run down. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Although the location was good, I would not recommend staying there.

I traveled to Rome by myself and honestly I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay ! I stayed in the economy room which was honestly perfect for just me and very much in my price range . It’s nothing fancy but perfect place to sleep if you’re a person on the go like me. The women who was there when I checked in was so sweet . i recommend this place for my solo travelers who don’t wanna stay in a hostel. The location is great .

We booked this location based on decent reviews and location (which actually was great). It wasn't on a busy street so it was quiet at night. It also had a functioning AC which came in handy for those hot July Night. We traveled with some other friends who stayed at an Air Bnb next door.
However, one of my friends seemed to have some sort of reaction to something in the room which caused a slight rash on the first night. Thinking it would just go away, we didn't think much of it. The second day however, she broke out in hives all over her body and was having difficulty breathing and her eyes were shut close. I ran to speak to someone in the front desk and it was an older man who was so dismissive and rude. Stating that \"it must have been something she ate\" which was not true as she only broke out in hives in the room. I showed him photos of her and he kept saying that \"it's not true since this has never been reported before\". We were not looking for a refund or anything, I just wanted to know what it could be if maybe the sheets or mold in the AC. He kept reiterating it was something she ate and when i stated that it wasn't that he rudely said \"oh so what she hasn't eaten today?\" in a very snarky and condescending matter. We are so thankful we had some friends staying at an Air Bnb next door so she can go stay with them. I don't know what would have happened if that wasn't the case. Very rude staff and for that- I would never stay here again.

Great location and Rosa the front desk clerk very helpful and accommodating I had made an error in booking our reservation and she got it straightened out for us so that we were not inconvenienced and she gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Would definitely recommend this property. It’s close to all amenities and in walking distance from a lot of the tourist attractions.

Great location - easy walk to a lot of the popular locations. Staff was very helpful at the front desk. Hotel sits on an inclined street - be ready to walk with your luggage up and down the hill and cobblestones. Lots of restaurants nearby. Room not huge but it had A/C. Small bar in the hotel, no food. Good choice!!

Hotel Julia was a great stay, the staff was absolutely amazing with every question and concern they went above and beyond to help, shopping and dinning right outside the doors , it is a very old hotel but you are in Rome so expect everything in Rome to be old and resemble the area if you want high end stay that is more like LA hotel Julia is not for you if you want a clean place to sleep wonderful caring staff and everything walkable this is a gem we enjoyed our stay thank you to all the staff Rome left a mark in our hearts and Hotel Julia is a big part of it

This was an absolutely fantastic location for our stay. We could walk everywhere, and it was safe and easy.

The room was great, we loved the window where we could people watch 😊 it was big and had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. We had no problems at all with wifi. The shower was hot and had really good water pressure.

Our only feedback is the bed which made me feel like I was a nun doing penance 😂 it would be good to have a decent mattress.

When we go back to Rome we would definitely stay at Hotel Julia again.

The property is fine for the money. Reasonably clean , good location. Only problem is that our bathroom was impossibly small. Im and average size man and i had a difficult time taking a shower because the shower stall was so tiny. Definitely not for bigger people.

Highly recommend it!

I got everything I needed during my stay at Hotel Julia. I had Excellent service from Mrs Kathy at the reception, who was kind enough to upgrade my room and give me a very nice room and accomodate me with things I needed.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Fontana Di Trevi, a 2 minute walk to a supermarket & the bus stop, a 5 minute walk to the metro and 10 minutes by bus to Roma Centrale train station. Location was great.
Will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend it!

i tried to check out at 6.30am 16.11.2024. No one was there, the office closed and locked. I needed at taxi, and had to walk up the street to another hotel and had them order.

the rooms are too small, the AC remote was not available and we have to ask for it. The wifi doesn't work in most rooms, we have to be in the lobby to use the wifi. the staff was not friendly at all. The guy when we checked in was a little helpful.

I want a refund but I know that the trouble it would cause me to fight for it isn’t worth it. Terrible place. Expedia should be ashamed allowing a long term platinum member read these time of amenities without fact checking them. Sorry WiFi only in lobby. I want to sit in lobby all night with my pajamas on. No tv. Dirty bathroom. Hot water was a joke.

Complete dump. Tiny Shower lacked pressure and cold water only. Ceiling AC unit leaking water which dripped on floor all night keeping us awake, placed towels underneath but did not help, completely soaked them. Cracked and chipped walls, paint, counters. Rusted piping. Only positive is the location and the staff was friendly.

The only good thing about this hotel was the locatio and A/C. Rooms are very out dated, not very clean, bathroom waa okay and the beds are very hard with thin pillows.

It was only 5 minutes away from the Trevi Foutain, Spanish steps, the location is perfect. Bus stops close by grocery store, shopping and restaurants area everywhere.

We absolutely loved this property!! It is located in an amazing location, so convenient, lots of food and drink options nearby and so close to the trevi fountain. There is a reasonably priced grocery store one road down. The street is honestly pretty quiet, despite how close it is to everything!

The best part of the hotel is its location. It’s close to Trevi Fountain and dining. However, staff was not helpful or friendly. We also had the A/C fail two nights and the temperature was in the high 90’s!!! Instead of being apologetic, I was questioned whether I had left the A/C running all day!! Simply horrible and not willing to help. Also, even when we asked for suggestions for dining and tours, none were given.

I stayed one night at this hotel in a single room. The staff was very friendly when I was checking in and out. The location was very close to the Trevi fountain area, which was very convenient for exploring and food options. Really close to the metro line A as well.
I will say that the shower was very small in the bathroom of my room. I am plus sized, and it was a tight squeeze to get in, so this could be something to take into account if you are considering this hotel.

Beautiful old hotel in the heart of the walled city. The room had windows over looking the rooftops of Cortona and down in to the valley… beautiful.
Swallows flying right by the windows..
Lovely front desk/reception staff… very helpful and kind.
Rooms are spacious and clean, and the hotel is safe and quiet.
Decent continental breakfast in the morning. Only negative is that there is no staff on duty after 8pm until 8am the next day.

This is not a five star property, but the location is within walking distance of Trevi, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Pantheon, and more. You'll find a million shops and restaurants within reach, and the Metro is only steps away. Book this property for the prime location. The desk is staffed early to late. The room had a great air conditioner, but be reminded that the electricity only works while you're in the room. It will take a bit to cool down after you arrive. My room also had a convenient mini-fridge. Thank you, Hotel Julia. See you next time.

But, the room was small and there was no WiFi in the room (the floor was missing the access point and due to the thick walls, other floors access points could not reach the room).

My stay at Hotel Julia was fantastic! The location was perfect, with the metro station just a short walk away which made exploring the city a breeze and plenty of restaurants nearby. Having a convenience store at the bottom of the street was very convenient. The Trevi Fountain was within walking distance.The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Hotel Julia for a great stay in Rome!

The location of this property was absolutely perfect. Right by Trevi fountain. We walked to Vatican City - Pantheon - Spanish steps - Colosseum no problem. Lots of Dino g and shopping options. Hotel is basic but comfortable and quiet.

location was perfect, you can access the historic center of Rome on foot. the staff was really nice and helpful. what I did not like was the keychain that weighs a lot, too many keys for one room, and the shower was scary small. other than that I would recommend it for people who want a walking distance to all good places.

The sheets appeared clean. That is my only positive statement. Rooms look many years old. In desperate need of construction upgrades. The ventilation system caused my wife to have sinus problems. WiFi was horrible. Blanket / quilt was to small for the bed. In general Rome is a very dirty city. And the hotel didn't improve the visit. Forget handicap accessible! No parking! And at 6'1\" 230lb. Everything is a tight fit.
I would never return there.

We were a family of four. The shower had very poor pressure, it literally dripped. The decor was tacky and dated, unlike photos on Expedia. The only window was behind a closet, with very little light in the room. It was clean but old. The couch bed was springy and uncomfortable. The fourth bed was placed at the foot of the queen bed with no room to walk. Laundry service advertised but when asked, they have no laundry. For breakfast, there’s a better place in the alley around the corner. I would not stay here again.
