Hotel is well located as you can walk up the hill to the pretty old town. We parked on the street outside which was very easy and only €6.50 for the day. The hotel has quite a “corporate “ feel to it but it was functional for our 1 night stay.

Horrendous hotel

Horrendous hotel, looks fresh from the outside and from the lobby however rooms are old beds made of rocks. Bathroom with a shower that you can’t adjust the shower head so after a shower the bathroom turns into a pool since the shower had no curtains. Mini bar empty except one small bottle of water! Given the price we paid we feel absolutely cheated. The only positive thing were the staff that were friendly.

A pleasant surprise in a town well worth visiting

My wife, adult daughter and I decided to spend a night at Peniscola enroute from Valencia to Tortosa to see its 13th century Templar fortress located in a spectacular setting at the top of a steep peninsula almost completely surrounded by the Mediterranean. We booked two adjoining rooms at the Hotel RH Don Carlos with balconies offering views of the castle and old city and we were very glad we did, as the staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful, the rooms were excellent value, the breakfast was quite good and the hotel, itself, was within walking distance of the castle and close to the town’s long and beautiful beaches. Although our stay was only two days before Christmas, the weather was sunny and surprisingly warm. As well, Peniscola offers a number of seafood-oriented restaurants, one of which we dined in after exploring the old city (the hotel also has a restaurant which we would have tried if our stay were longer). Our walk back to the hotel after dark along the beachside esplanade was well lit and offered beautiful views of the castle in the distance framed by sand and palm trees. Since Peniscola and the hotel would probably be quite crowded during the summer, I would recommend visiting from late September until early May, if possible.

Never got to stay at the hotel as they phoned on the morning of our check in to say there was a problem with our room!!!! They moved us to another hotel 3 km down the beach. They said it was the same standard- NO WAY!!! We were VERY UNHAPPY but it was too late to find anywhere else. Will NEVER stay at this group of hotels again.

We were disappointed that there was a extra charge for the Jacuzzi and sauna. The English translation on the information provided in the room indicated spa treatments had a fee, which we would expect, but that the other amenities (I.e. and sauna) we no extra charge for hotel guests.
We’ve never stayed at a hotel that charges extra to use a hot tub or sauna.

Great location, minutes to the beach, supermarket and loca restaurants, plus only a few minutes walk into the lovely old town. Hotel staff, especially receptionists, were amazing. Pool and gym were good (a little cold as unheated, but was October), and the indoor spa was also brilliant. Only downside was the air conditioning - it didn't work much, so room was very hot, and although we reported it, no change.

We would stay again!

Great Hotel. Suited our needs as a family of 5. We got a 2 bedroom suite which also had 2 bathrooms which was an added bonus. We paid for 1/2 board - so a buffet breakfast and dinner was included. This was excellent value, plentiful and the food was really very good. The lift is very slow so we often took the stairs. We also could not see where they supplied pool towels so had to use the bathroom ones instead. A great view from the pool. We would stay here again for sure. The parking inspector is very quick so never park your car out the front without paying for parking immediately. Or you are just better off using the hotel parking.

Great hotel. Second stay there. Excellent service. Bike hire for €8 per day. Food is outstanding. We had half board. You can choose either lunch or dinner to go with breakfast. Fantastic pool and terrace on the roof which is new.

Only problem was that bed had a very thin and very hard mattress which was very uncomfortable to sleep on. We had a junior suite. Room was very spacious, nice balcony. walk 5 minute to get to beach. lots of options for breakfast at hotel. free cocktail vouchers when we checked in. would stay here again if they change their mattresses!

This hotel is Conveniently located one block behind the beach, so while not right on the beach like other hotels in the area it had convenient parking out the front, was close to restaurants, shopping and an easy to walk everywhere. It is also close to the castle, a must when in Peniscola. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and had good options. Highly recommended.

Meerblick in einer Lücke zwischen großen Hotels. Im Mörz noch kostenloses Parken vor dem Hotel. Betten durchgelegen, Zu viele alte Leute, Esssen zwar reichhaltig, aber mehr \" Masse statt Klasse\".
Personal ist sehr nett.
Zentral gelegen. Für eine Nacht ok.
Zimmer sind definitiv in die Jshre gekommen und könnten mal wieder eine Renovierung vertragen. Balkon sehr geräumig, aber Parkplatzblick und links ein riesiges Hotel, aber es gibt eine Lücke im aufs Meer zu schauen.

Cuando reservé, ya no funcionaba la piscina por un problema de filtraciones.
NO se informó de esa incidencia en la web y nos encontramos con la sorpresa al llegar.
SI nos ofrecieron, tras pedirlo, SPA gratis un día ( puede que si lo hubiésemos pedido para más días, lo hubieran hecho)
En fin, todo bien salvo esa incidencia de la piscina que era grave. Si hubieran informado previamente ...

En general ha sido muy agradable ,el único contratiempo ha sido que al contratar la zona de spa no se nos informó de que la piscina más grande lleva tiempo sin funcionar !y a los 20 minutos después de haber contratado dos horas nos bajamos porque la zona era muy escasa de servicios, teniendo en cuenta lo que se considera zona de spa y lo que anunciaban ,! Deberían de haber informado de esa situación ,salimos a preguntar en la propia zona pero el personal no estaba ,así que lo hemos comunicado en recepción .

O hotel possui boa localização, perto da praia, atendentes prestativos e educados. O tamanho do quarto é bom, porém o conforto da cama e travesseiros deixaram a desejar, o que me faz não querer retornar ao hotel em uma próxima viagem.

Nice modern 4* hotel in the center of Peniscola. with a view to the sea. Very nice room with balcony and an underground parking lot for your car, thou you have to pay extra for this. The restaurant had a buffet and a cook to prepare meat and fish and a pleasent selection of vegtables etc. The breakfast buffet was also with a cook for making fresh fries aegs etc. and a big selection of bread etc. The price offer for half pension was wery compeditive with other hotels at lover class. In all a hotel to return to.

Todo muy seguro con turnos para comer, gel, controles de temperatura. Buffet correcto para estos tiempos, muy buena calidad aunque faltó algo de variedad. En el spa había que pedir hora pero nadie lo controlaba, algún rato hubo demasiada gente. Parking muy estrecho.

Nous sommes ravis du choix de cet hotel ,bien situé dans le centre,proche de la plage et de la citadelle .Personnel souriant, réactif ,chambres bien équipées avec vue sur la mer .Un seul regret ,l'hiver l'hotel ferme son restaurant et la demi pension se passe dans un restaurant extérieur bien mais dont la carte était peu fournie. Par contre le petit déjeuner à l' hotel est superbe varié et abondant.

Solo hubo un problema, que nos dieron una habitación que estaba ocupada, y la pareja que estaba descansando se dio un buen susto, al igual que yo al entrar. Un error imperdonable para un hotel de 4 estrellas
El desayuno muy bueno a excepción del zumo de polvos y extremadamente dulce, con las naranjas tan ricas que tenemos en la comunidad!!!

Hotel choisi parce que belle piscine sur la photo, petit gymnase et spa. Impossible de vous joindre lors de la commande (n° de téléphone ne répondant pas) pour savoir si le spa était en libre accès ou pas, car non précisé dans le descriptif. Au final, piscine plutôt petite, exposée au vent, et spa payant, donc plutôt très déçu sur ces points, car nous venions d'un hotel ou le spa, plus complet d'ailleurs là-bas, était en libre accès.
STAFF : très bon accueil, souriant et agréable
SPA : Hammam à l'arrêt, nous pensions qu'il était en panne lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 17h30. Le technicien qui faisait son contrôle à 18h30 nous l'a mis en marche, on a eu de la chance . Spa très agréable, très calme (le fait qu'il soit payant limite certainement le traffic clients), bien situé, mais les fenêtres coulissantes sont très dures à ouvrir ou fermer.
BUFFET : excellente qualité des buffets petit déj et repas, belles présentations, qualitatif bien au dessus de ce que l'on trouve ailleurs. INFRASTRUCTURE : Construction de qualité, donc pas de bruits des voisins, ni de l'ascenseur à côté de notre porte, ni de bruits de châsses d'eau trop perceptibles.A noter des tâches sur le sol de la salle de bain en arrivant, restées tout le séjour : donc pas de lavage à l'eau fait pendant 5 jours, et 1 chaise sur la terrasse cassée (grande terrasse très appréciée, avec vue sur mer).
Au final hôtel bien situé, agréable mais avec des points rédibitoires pour que l'on y revienne.
