Clean room, but very strong smell of bleach when I arrived in my room, pool lovely, breakfast basic. If you want to go around the best thing to have car . The hotel is far from faro city bus costs one way 5.50 and after 8 no buss go twords zodiac hotel. Uber is way cheaper than local tax . Uber cost around 13 euro but local taxi will charge you 35 euro. Bus stop is close to hotel like 3 minutes walk. Beach around 10 minutes.

Stayed here a few times now, the hotel is kept clean by a great team, nice to see the same staff faces. Didn't get much of a chance to use the pool area, but that was also kept clean. Breakfast the same as always, no change in items, but enjoyed what we had. Will stay again.

Just returned from a 3 night very enjoyable stay.
It’s conveniently located if you want to visit other locations and only 8-10 minutes walk to the sea which had plenty of places to eat or sit and watch the gorgeous sunsets even in November
It’s a reasonable priced hotel with parking and included continental breakfast which was an added bonus
Our room was as shown on the website, very clean and comfortable bed, which was made up every day and towels changed
In general the hotel was spotless.
We didn’t use the pool although it was sunny it wasn’t
The hotel does have a restaurant but as it is quiet at this time of year it wasn’t open, the bar was and we did pop in the evenings prices were very reasonable.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful they gave us some good choices of restaurants to try.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The facilities, are great and most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The hotel is spotless and the location is roughly ten minutes walk from quarteira.within the area there is a supermarket and a couple of restaurants.

One small niggle - the window in our bathroom let in light which lit up the room disturbing sleep this could be easily remedied with a blackout blind.
Also, tea & coffee in the room would be a good addition.

We would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff member at the check in was not friendly and kind of sarcastic when asked questions about the check in process and the hotel. They do not provide a second card for the room when there are two adults which is very inconvenient since accessing the room becomes very complicated. The breakfast is included but very very basic. They have eggs but nothing hot to go with it. The coffee is really bad.

Room was a good size. Lots of free parking. Only negatives were no electrical outlet in bathroom for a curling iron if you use one. There were plugs in the bedroom but none beside the mirror. Bathroom shower floor was also very slippery and perhaps should include a rubberized bath mat. More than one chair in the room would also add to the comfort if there are two of you,

O hotel é bem localizado com bastante opção de restaurantes, comércio em geral nas proximidades. A equipe é bem acolhedora e o ambiente em geral agradável ! A piscina é excelente ! O restaurante é bom e o pequeno almoço estava bem ao nosso gosto. A única coisa a melhorar seria pensar mais no meio-ambiente e pararem de utilizar papel sobre as mesas. A troca de papel a cada cliente gera um lixo desnecessário. O banheiro do quarto é muito pequeno, a tampa do sanitário estava quebrada e sem ventilação.

The property was nice, clean and spacious. It was quiet but we did find that people slamming their doors was a nuance. The doors do not slam shut - you have to make them slam.
No mini fridge in room. You could get ice for your bottle for a cost at the bar.

Pleasant enough hotel. Very clean. Bit dated.
Hairdryer inadequate but Receptionist lent me a decent one. Not enough electric sockets.
Reasonable offer at breakfast. Small lunch menu.
Plenty of sunbeds with very comfy mattresses.
Ten minutes walk to nearest beach. 20 mins walk to bus station where you can catch buses to various places.
Quiet at night as away from the town centre and beach area.
Staff reasonably helpful but the absolute star was Simao. Spoke excellent English and extremely helpful.

The Hotel Zodiaco's rooms are small, but they have far more space dedicated to enjoying the facilities than most hotels. There is a pool table, 2 seating areas, a patio, pool with lots of chairs including ones that are covered, a bar and a large breakfast area and restaurant for lunch. The facilities are always clean and you can see the staff wiping down beach chairs, and cleaning walkways etc. The staff seem to take great pride in the facility. The hotel is about 4 blocks from the beach area and promenade which has a lot of restaurants, including Fantastico which has a small menu of great Indian choices. The hotel is great for families with all of the common space and the free and ample parking was a big bonus.

I stayed at Hotel Zodiaco with my family for two nights in Quarteira.

We arrived at the hotel ealier than our check in time. We were greeted by a friendly member of reception staff who allowed us to leave our luggage in the building until check in time. That way, we could stroll around Quarteira bag-free.

The rooms were small but perfect for us who spend most of our time out in the town. There is a bar that serves a variety of drinks (including Amarguinha!) and a pool table.

We had breakfast each morning and were happy with the variety on offer. The fruit could have been more fresh though, the apples and bananas were a bit overripe.

Some things we would like to see improved before we visit again: One of our bathrooms had a broken heater so the room kept fogging each time we had a shower. It would also be good if there were glass cups instead of paper cups for drinking. Also, there was no separate bins for recycling and regular waste which I think is important for the environment.

I would recommend Hotel Zodiaco to anybody looking for a stay at Quarteira who likes to spend a lot of time out and about in the town.

It was nice to see solar panels on the roof of the hotel but their benefits should be stressed somewhere in the hotel's brochure. I always welcome care for the environment.

We stayed at this hotel in mid November which is towards the end of its season. The hotel was quiet but the staff were still friendly & efficient. Breakfast excellent.
It is only a walk onto Quarteria beach road and a short drive from Vilamoura, Qinta do Lago or the main A Road link to Spain or Lisbon.
We would use again.

Very pleasant staff on check in, happy with room, great air con, comfy double bed, good shower. No where to dry off damp towels or costumes, so just hung them in the shower Nice quiet room. Quite a large pool area, comfortable good quality sunbeds, only issue was the mattresses held a lot of water, quite often our towels were wet, so not sure if it was people using them as they came out of pool. Took a while to dry. Breakfast was good, would be great to see some tomatoes! We enjoyed the coffee, nice scrambled eggs. We used the bar, friendly staff. Had a great week here.

Very quiet area. 10 minutes to walk to the sea, shops, restaurants, the airport is about 25 minutes by taxi.

It was a nice hotel and some nice staff etc. However, I was accused of smoking in my room (by letter put in by cleaning staff) because people smoked outside right below our window and if it was open, it came right into the room! They should also rethink where they locate families as it was me and my very young daughter! When I complained to the staff member about receiving the letter they just said to me that they are just \"doing their job.\" They might want to check things out properly before accusing people.

Overall great - small concerns

Overall, it was a very nice hotel - clean, comfortable, well-maintained and the employees were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was quite good as was the food/bar service and the room price was quite reasonable. Our concern with the hotel was around management policies; there was a 6 euro charge to use the pool table in the common area and one member of our party was charged 1 euro for a glass of ice (while others were not). Several guests (including our party) were \"reprimanded\" for moving the lounge chairs out of \"formation\" at the pool; the hotel employees (who were really very nice) were reluctantly compelled to implement these policies by management. While we really loved our stay here, the management might consider eliminating the various surcharges (even if raising the room price slightly) and perhaps being less rigid about policies that don't seem to be essential from the guests' perspective. I would definitely stay here again. Also highly recommend Café Happy Andorinhas 1 block away - fantastic small family run restaurant.
