Really loved our stay at Batu Kerang. Had a one bed villa - no. 9 - which was spacious, stylish and well laid out. The outside terrace was much bigger than we expected with a day bed, table and chairs and an amazing view.

The property is beautifully landscaped and designed on a steep hill, but if we were ever too knackered to make the walk up to our villa, there was always a buggy around to take us there.

We enjoyed using the upper pools and gym where there’s so much space.

The breakfasts were probably the best we had throughout our trip in Bali and it was nice not to be charged extra for a non standard coffee. We had dinner twice at the poolside restaurant and the food was exceptional.

Special mention for service. We had issues with some of the electrics in our villa and this was dealt with promptly.

Also, my partner mentioned to them that our arrival had left something to be desired; when we arrived at the top gate, we were told to wait in a small, airless room ( think it was the security hut) until someone arrived to collect us and when we decided to have a little look around the property we were brusquely told not to wander off by a security guard. A day or so later we were presented w a voucher for two free cocktails and told that they appreciated being told as that way they could try and improve this for future guests. That’s how you do service.

The views from the hotel are lovely and the staff were extremely kind, but I was a bit disappointed with this place, especially for the price that we paid. Be aware that the upper area where vehicles do pickup/drop off is currently under construction and hard to access/navigate. They had wheelbarrows, motorbikes, and rebar all over the place - we had to squeeze past it, which was hard to do with suitcases. Manageable but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so with elderly or children.

They do have golf carts to take you up and down the resort which is very helpful as there are many stairs and their restaurant food and drinks are really delicious. The room though was where we were disappointed.

The \"A/C\" was not sufficient, leading to the room being extremely hot and stuffy. The bathroom was half indoor/outdoors which in theory was adorable but our room was near the stairs from another suite. I'm not sure if anyone could see in but I could see workers going up and down the stairs multiple times while I was going the bathroom and using the shower, which left me feeling exposed. The bed only had 1 bedside table and plugins on the 1 end of the bed. They also did not have an instruction guide in the room - would've been nice to have instructions on how to use the toilet bidet, when breakfast started/ended, and a few other details.

Lastly, be aware that something is being built next door - it slightly ruined the vibe to sit in our private pool and hear construction noise.

We stayed in villa 2, fantastic position near the restaurant and pool, the accommodation was lovely, the staff were wonderful and the breakfasts were amazing. The resort is built on a hill however a golf cart is always available to take you to the top part. We found it easier leaving and entering to use the bottom entrance. Would highly recommend

From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at peace. I was given the most breathtaking room with an incredible view, and waking up to the ocean, palm trees, and that serene turquoise water was pure magic. The view alone made this stay extraordinary — calming, healing, and deeply special.

The resort itself is stunning: beautiful infinity pools, elegant design, lush greenery, and a sense of quiet luxury that never feels forced. Everything feels thoughtfully curated, from the pathways and lighting to the open spaces overlooking the sea.

Steep hills from room to restaurant and pool area. We needed to call for rides all the time. They were kind and provided the rides in golf carts.

The gym facility was pretty good for a resort gym and the new steam room and ice bath are a great addition to the resort. Worst part was having to say goodbye again . The position is perfect great Thai restaurant right next door and just a small walk on the boardwalk to the little beach and new Lagos restaurant that is spectacular . Breakfast is excellent with many choices and great quality.
Amenities are very good with good gym, ice bath, sauna and 3 pools.
Property however needs more maintenance and upkeep as many things are tired or need attention. Housekeeping also needs to lift their game as major items of cleanliness and maintenance get overlooked.
Great overall experience that could be even better with some good leadership and money spent.

Amazing location, the views are incredible, rooms and those bathrooms breathtaking. Great service good value, staff are very attentive with the buggies to get up the hill- we had 2 x 70 year olds with us on a 3 generation holiday. Great location to walk into town or the other way to Lago beach to swim out to the pontoon or go to the swanky spa next door. The resort is amazing. Situated on a hill, overlooking the turquoise bay, but they have buggy service to help you around if needed. The service is impeccable. The food is also amazing. We were able to check in a little early. They help with everything you want or need and make suggestions for things to do etc. Suggest booking Spa early if you desire (but they were able to squeeze us in). There is a Spa next door, same situation, very busy. Communication prior to check in was amazing. There is a ferry that lands right in front, so check it out if coming from Sanur. The hotel will offer to help book also. We came from NP so it we arranged independently. I wish we had stayed longer. I really want to say this was my favorite place in all of Bali. Yes. That good. Kudos to the Chef and all the staff. Thank you so much.

The hotel is in a convenient location on Nusa Lembongan, with views across the bay. It has 3 good pools, 2 great restaurant with a good selection of food, a fantastic whiskey bar as well as a regular bar. The breakfasts are made to order and had some of the best selections of food I have come across in an hotel. The spa is excellent with well trained staff. The room was spacious with a balcony with a view of the sea, but sheltered (for watching thunderstorms!) and best of all the staff couldnt do enough for you. One of the best stays I have had in Bali.

Morning complimentary breakfast was great, except when you want to ask for 2nd cup of coffee, they charge you; 2. In general they were eager to charge you. For example, I just want hotel bottled still water, but they asked me if I want bubbling water or more expensive bottle water.

This property is nice but needs updating. The rustic feel would work better if the blinds worked and it felt more private and one could get quality sleep. The construction going on around the property made my sleep difficult. You can hear all the noises even with ear plugs. They were nice to move my room to get further away from the construction but I still heard the incessant hammering. I had Bali belly so I needed naps during the day. That didn’t work so well. The views are gorgeous and the island is great for all ocean activities. The water is a perfect temperature. The hotel staff was very nice. I can’t comment on the food because I wasn’t feeling like eating much.

We had two different rooms over three nights. They gavebus a free upgrade due to an issue with smoke in the area not caused by the hotel. Both rooms were lavish with plunge pools. A great position but service isn't really up to scratch. Routine requests were made unnecessarily difficult. For example, when I called desk to ask for milk and teabags housekeeping failed to restock that day, instead of just sending the items up, a staff member came to room to \"inspect\" minibar and said this was my fault for displaying \"do not disturb\" sign, which was rubbish as they'd cleaned and made the bed just fine earlier. Then required a visit from a 2nd staff member to get the milk as the first guy came empty handed and only seemed interested in starting an argument. I wouldn't return.

Postcard-worthy views of ocean and Mt Agung! Fabulous staff, lovely, clean, comfortable rooms. Resort is situated on a very steep incline, be aware if you have any mobility issues; however, they provide a golf cart to pick you up when needed. Our first room had an outdoor bathroom with the toilet, shower and tub perched on a ledge a little higher than 12\". This required a large step down which was problematic when slippery from the shower or if you used the toilet in the night. Seemed to be an accident waiting to happen. Front desk was very responsive and immediately moved us to another (actually much nicer) room. Not sure how many rooms had similar bathroom configuration, but our new room was perfect, all on same level. Has a quirky non-Tiki bar that is focused on Scotch. Nice alternative to the tropical theme everywhere. Beautiful sunset view from eating area around the pool and food was quite good. No problem with insects while there. Great location near end of Jungubatu Beach. Highly recommend!

Batu Karang is a beautiful resort that exceeded my expectations and allowed for a very relaxing stay. The staff are all extremely friendly. The location is stunning with views over Jungbutbatu beach which is only a short stroll away, and crystal clear turquoise waters. The resort is on a steep hill but staff whizz you around on golf buggies. Our room with a plunge pool was lovely and had similarly stunning views although was frustratingly next to a large building site. The interior was luxurious and very nicely designed and the bed very comfy.
The only small cons would be one small bin per room based in the bathroom, limited breakfast drink options - only one tea, coffee or juice included, and minimal furniture on the larger decking area. But these are very small cons. Overall we loved our stay here and would love to come back in future.

We will definitely come back! Our honeymoon was made extra special with our own plunge pool, friendly staff, and couples massage. There is a whiskey bar downstairs. The chefs made the most delicious food, and from our room we looked down at the hydroponic crops below. We loved the vines growing over our balcony roof, providing a cool retreat. Great common pool area and nice looking restaurant. The room had an outdoor bathroom with a connecting wall to our neighbours bathroom. (I’ll let you put that together) and we had a cockroach issue that become annoying. Breakfast menu is small and they keep trying to find ways to charge you extra for everything. Food is the most expensive in Bali and it felt like we were there as wallets and not customers.

It's a 10 minute walk from the beach, don't bother with transporation. However, I had a massive problem before checking in. The hotel didn't receive my Expedia benefits status so I contacted them for early check in and late check out. They denied my request. I contacted expedia who called and emailed the hotel 5 times confirming my benefits. The hotel continued to deny me and were very rude is their communication to both me and expedia. Very poor experience.

The property is one of the best on the island. It is now aging, reasonably expensive and I noticed the occupancy rate was well down.
The food is excellent but expensive. The site is most beautiful on a very steep slope above the water. Golf carts are used to transport up and down the hill on a very steep, long gradation. This can be inconvenient although a cart and driver is always available.

The place is beautiful, well situated with good dining options (NO ROOM SERVICE) and spectacular views. This IS NOT AN EXPEDIA VIP property as NO ONE in the hotel wasn't even aware of what that is, never mind honouring the benefits. The staff always greet you with a smile even when they have no idea of what you saying as some of them clearly speak very little English. Nevertheless, despite these hiccups, it is a very pleasant hotel and most likely I will be coming back.

Lovely stay at the hotel and the staff was very gracious and kind. The room was relatively well appointed and the dining options were good. Only complaint was late breakfast (7:30am) so we were not able to eat before excursions. The kindly offered that we could grab some fruit the night before and store it in our fridge but we missed that as well as kitchen closes at 9pm.

The place is on a hill and very difficult to get around, when you arrive the system to get you checked in is a little odd and takes way too long. The pool near the beach closes at 4pm, and even the other one closed at 6pm which seemed odd for Asia. The other pool was up so many steps it was really hard to get to. All this would put me off going back. Island wise I didn’t think it was that amazing pretty average.

The best place to stay on Nusa Lembongan. Close to two great beaches and lots of great restaurants. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Staff were very accommodating in helping me organise transfers and transport. Had the best view from my room! Would highly recommend.

Can not go from the room without their transportation, too steep to walk, very inconvenient because at times it took a long time.
Very limited food choices and not great quality. Roads in Nusa Lambongan are terrible. I will not recommend anybody going there. We ended up doing nothing.

This is a beautiful property with amazing rooms, views, and amenities. The walkable access to other nearby sites and restaurants was great. Loved the variety of restaurant options within the hotel. My only complaints would be that the pools close early. Also, the staff are lovely and very nice, but service seemed to occur at a slower pace than other stays we have enjoyed in Bali. I think it was more of an issue of the hotel system and not an issue with the actual staff who were all lovely.

We had the most wonderful time at Batu Karang. All of the staff were incredible, always greeting you with a smile and would always go out of their way to help you. The facilities were beautiful and the grounds were immaculately kept. The breakfast is amazing and the views speak for themselves! We would come back in a heartbeat if it wasn’t a 17 hour flight away!!

Lovely place and amazing staff. Lots of things are under maintance which is unfortunate (sauna, some areas).

STAFF ARE AMAZING GOOD VIBES AND POSITIVE. I feel bad they need more staff (seems too busy for them). Overall location is amazing. I noticed there were 5 different pieces of bedding and towels that had makeup, stains that weren’t changed (didn’t feel as clean). I’d give this place another chance tho. Also this place isn’t wheelchair friendly (fyi) its very steep (maybe not the best for older demographic)

We had an adventure getting there since it was pouring with rain but when we arrived they welcomed us with a welcome drink (although we would've preferred to get to our room and have a shower first). The hotel was very nice, the pool area was lovely and the room was clean. The service at breakfast and at the bar was excellent. We didn't dine at the main resturant as we only stayed a couple of days, however the food looked very nice.

It was in a good location just outside of the town. However, be aware if you come from Bali, \"taxi's\" are much more expensive on this island, also watch out for pick-pockets when you get off the boat whe you arrive.

You can not go wrong booking Batu Karang. Hands down the nicest hotel on the island. The team are so kind and welcoming for the minute you arrive through to checkout. Breakfasts plentiful and healthy, the restaurant is also amazing. The rooms are the winner, we booked a room with plunge pool with the most spectacular views.. highly recommend!

Be very careful if booking through Wotif and staying with Batu Karang. When booking through the app the app will default with no warning to the nearest date to the date your trying to book if the date your wanting is fully booked.. and with no warning until you’ve locked it in at the end. Then the hotel will provide no refund or exchange or credits. Extremely disappointed
