AC doesn’t work well in any room. We had two rooms both warm in both rooms even though staff tried to switch us to another room it was a same ol same, very warm in every room, old outdated AC system . We had prepaid for two nights but checked out sooner after not getting much rest first night. Beach is also not swim able at all. They also had a BBQ beach night that was overpriced and food was not good at all, very limited meat selection.

The property is very nice. The rooms at comfortable but outdated, specially the bathrooms. Access to the beach is great and pools are great. Restaurant is good and buffet is very complete. I think if they want to be 4 star they need to make some important renovations and upgrades. Other than that it’s a very good hotel.

Resort is excellent and staff great. We were in a villa with a semi-private pool which was fantastic. Breakfast was fine, some of the buffet food could have been hotter - just go for the egg station. Was lacking shade on the beach, and the beach is not good for swimming.

On arrival the lock wasn’t working so he to get fix, small blood stain on mesh curtain near entrance door, toilet started to leak at the back left corner they sealed as it smelt then started to happen on the back right. Water was cold had to ask to get hotter but was only just warm and took 5 minutes to warm up. Bed was sooooo squeaky, just thankful I was staying with a friend not a boyfriend. Nice chocolate gifts and candle, good mini bar with chips and drinks, dinner was nice but cocktails the alcohol didn’t taste nice. Disappointed due to cost and issues.

Very nice, clean resort in a quiet area, still easy walk to a choice of restaurants and shops. Unique pool area with deck chairs on sand around the pool with ocean views. Good buffet breakfast in dining area. Only small faults is hot water pressure in showers and beach in front of resort not ideal for swimming due to shallow water and currents. Otherwise perfect stay!!

Property is a bit tired on the exterior. The buffet breakfast was cold. The mashed potato for dinner was cold, so were the fries for lunch cold. Housekeeping forgot to supply towels one day. The room doors do not close properly, therefore a lizard rustling in the rubbish bin during the night and caterpillars on the floor. The room phone didn’t work either.

Overall a good stay with our toddler. He enjoyed the large flat beach to play on. Pools are really nice for kids, but preferred staying at the other end of the island due to surf options. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok. Beds comfortable but a little noisy with events they had on. Overall good value for money

This is my 3rd visit to Mahagiri and I’m in love with this hotel. The beautiful hotel is the best on Lembongan Island. From the location that is right on the beach to the lovely staff. The BBQ nights are great and the food in the hotel is awesome with a great selection of dishes. Pools are very clean.walking distance to Lembongan main village strip. I’ll sure be back again!

Pros - outdoor area is amazing, gorgeous beachy area with heaps of sun lounges. Live music and a cool vibe for hanging out. Great location surrounded by restaurants shops and cafes. Easy to hire a scooter for the day.
Cons - food and beverages expensive, rooms are tiny and outdated. My fridge didnt work and shower was pretty dodgy however the resort fixed them when i complained. Overall accomodation was good but personally wouldn't stay again. I think there are probably nicer quiter options on the island.

Nothing Unique about property but we liked that we could sit on beach front & watch the Sunrise & complemtry water & mini bar snacks.

What we didnt like,
1/The bed was Hard as a rock & the wooden bed frame was high & noisy evertime we moved.
2/ Staff were not attentive at all & felt like no one knew what they were doing and didnt have the friendly Bali charm.
3/ Breakfast was average & tea/ coffee cups tasted like dirty dish cloth stronger then the tea taste. We did not go back ate up the road even though it was included.
4/ In the evening we sat out on beach once & asked bar staff for menu to order drinks asked if they would come out to get order, said yes & never did so they missed out on money intake, last time we bothered & from then on got our drinks up the street.
5/ The garden in our pool villa was not maintained well & the view from our day bed was masses of electrical wires coming out of electrical box & filthy grounds with old coral pieces.
6/ The Day bed had stains all over it, I asked for a sheet to cover it otherwise i wouldnt have used it.
7/ When our room was cleaned daily, it wasnt consistant & our glasses were offen not replaced or cleaned or towels were not replaced & i had to keep asking for extra for hair wash & get own pool towel replacement.
8/ Asked to use Ironing board never came.
9/ Lastly on check out our bill had an extra charge that wasnt ours & had two of the same receipts & it took 15 minutes to investigate. Werent going to take it off.

there's no denying the view from the room is fabulous but that's kind of where it ends. I was worried having read other reviews and can confirm they are very much onpoint. The hotel at best is 3 star and was probably ok in the 80's. Food was abysmal, service was ok, beds were super comfy. For the price, definitely not worth it, for the view, probably is. Definitely eat at the restaurant to the left, The Captain Bar and Grill I think, super good food.

Spent four nights here. Nice location. Nice pool and beach area. Very noisy at night. Lots of black mould in bathrooms. Food at breakfast very disappointing. Only thing cooked to order was omelette or fried eggs. Everything else in bain marie cold. Coffee undrinkable but by far the worst thing was the flies. They landed on everything
Im from Australia so very used to flies but these were next level
Has a lot of potential but for the money not worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mahagiri. Its location is amazing- right on the white sandy beach overlook g the ocean and Agung. The three pools are beautiful and our private villa pool was divine. The staff are super friendly and always there to help. Cocktails on the beach at sunset was terrific. Close to other shops and restaurants. If the food was improved like Ohanas, this place would be the best beach club vibe.

A few cons, but if these little things were fixed it would be a 10/10.

Bed was VERY hard and any movement was a very loud screech. We asked for an extra doona to put underneath our sheets, but still slept very badly the nights we stayed. This said, a swim in the morning stretched us out and all was good. Not sure about all the private villas, but ours did not have a table and chairs, so if we weren’t in the pool, or on the bed we sat on the floor inside. Would have loved a little table and chairs to have our morning coffee at in our villa.

Food was below average. And as the days went on they started to run out of basics. First butter at breakfast, then soda water at lunch, then some menu options not available. But there were plenty of food options nearby.

Overall would stay again just for the amazing views and sunset pool vibes.

It is really unfortunate that you can not swim in the ocean out the front due to the Seaweed Farm and the pool was too warm, around 35°C so it was difficult to cool off.
Besides that, it was a great place to stay within walking distance to lots of fantastic restaurants.

While the beach area is fairly nice (its rocky once in the water) the resort itself looks nothing like the pictures online. The entire resort is very dated, no elevator, dark and dingy reception, and the room was terrible. The mattress was rock hard and the AC hardly worked. Breakfast was alright, decent selection but was mostly cold by the time we got there. We had booked for 4 nights but left after one. Don’t recommend staying here!

Nice and pleasant stay but they double charged me and still 2 months later have not refunded me. At check out they said that I hadn't paid when I booked. I was sure that I did but presented my card as I trusted them. After, when I had internet service, I checked and saw that I had paid at booking. I emailed them and they didn't respond. After a follow up they said that they would look into it. I haven't heard from them again after 3 more follow up and 2 months of waiting. I fear I won't get my money back and want to warn others of this.

We were early at the hotel so had to wait in the restuarant/hotel, first thing we noticed is the high number of flies in the restaurant - unpleasant. When we checked into our room we looked over the room and there were ants all over the headboard and in the bed and on the pillows. There were hundreds. We obviously could not stay in this room (which we paid to upgrade aswell) so we asked for another room. The next room, also had ants but on the floor. However the room had an awful sewage stench which was unbearable. They then upgraded us to a suite which was OK, but very basic. There were no shower gel provided, no hand towels, nothing extra/different to the normal rooms. Outside area around the pool, the pool never felt or looked clean. There were millions of ants all over the sunbeds and on the sand and around the pool. The hotel just felt dirty.
The sea, on the pictures look great, however it doesn’t actually seem like you can swim in it. It’s not the bright blue colours the pictures show, it’s fulll of metal rods I think for fishing so unable to swim in the sea. Nobody went in the sea while i stayed there. Do not trust the pictures.

Beautiful place and staff - however for the price I paid for a beach view suite I had expected the wifi and tv to work a little better. The wifi was the worst out of all places I have stayed on my multiple trips to Bali, even though I paid nearly $300 a night for this 2 night stay. The TV also did not work which was another disappointment. Other than that the view, room and staff were amazing.

The Mahagiri Resort had very friendly staff as do almost all places in Lembongan. The resort itself is absolutely misleading, run down, and poorly designed. It failed in every aspect from appearance, location, water access, old and weathered buildings, cement décor, etc, etc, etc.

If you like the Holiday Inn...

If you like the Holiday Inn, you'll like this resort. It is trying to be very Westernized with huge buffets of overpriced average food and groups of Chinese day tourist that visit the resort. You can walk 2 minutes down the street to get better food and drinks for half the price. The rooms are basic and the bed is very uncomfortable. The worst part is that the rooms have ventilation in the bathroom directly to the outdoors so when the locals burn trash, the burnt trash smell is in your room cycling through the air conditioning. The pool and beach are fairly nice and the management staff try to keep the trash off from the beach. Overall I wouldn't stay here again. There are many other hotels in a Balinese style, with all the same comforts, right down the street for half the price.

Too much noise plus annoying rooster that crows at 3:30am, which is why I’m awake right now writing this review. Otherwise the food is great here. Staff is super friendly. The view is incredible. Saw the sunset yesterday from the hotel’s beach. Can’t wait to see the sunrise today from the same beach.

No complaints about Mahagiri Resort!!! This place was absolutely beautiful and it made our stay in Nusa Lembongan a million times better! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool was so warm and clean and being right on the beach was perfect. The breakfast buffet had everything you could think of and was delicious. If ever I return to Bali I would love to return to this resort.

We had a great stay at Mahagiri. The location is good, with spectacular views across to mount Agung. We did however pay for an ocean view room, but this was pretty much obscured by palm trees. The rooms were large and clean, but not as modern as they look online. Also, there was no full length mirror, or even mirror, in the room, which made getting ready a harder. The food was average and the staff were friendly. The resort hosts swathes of day trippers every day, who completely take over the resort and the restaurant area from about 12- 4. We were aware of this from previous reviews, but it was still quite overwhelming and affected the peace of the resort.

Generally we had a great time staying here.

New Resort on the Beach

We stayed at the Resort for 10 days and it was a nice place to stay. The resort is new and is kept in great condition. Each morning the sand around the pool is raked and a team of cleaners kept the place spotless. The staff are great and friendly. The hotel is right on the beach but you can really only swim there at high tide cause of the old coral. When you get there, go across the road and hire a scooter. The hotel was great for my wife but as I am a surfer, it is a long way from the surf breaks, hence the scooter. The area it is in, is really growing and the hotel is well positioned for the next few years.

Meh..

The resort is nice I must admit. But the boss of the hotel is so rude and cocky! I didnt know abkut a certain rule. Instead of saying to me nicely as it was the first time, but he shouted at me and threaten me. If thats how the boss talks to you, that shows how the workers will talk too. But other than that, the resort is ok. But too much chinese tourist and they shout(talk) loudly at night. I think there are better cheaper hotel than this.

Lovely stay amazing beach view overlooking pool. Good room, enjoyed brekky and dinner. Great restaurant and good cocktails.
Would be good to get a bit more local and hotel information on checkin. EG Sunset on the beach.... we only saw other guests gling

Dates hotel but trying to improve

The hotel is close to the beach and the rooms relatively comfortable but definitely so not justify the cost per night. I saw rooms that were half as much that were about the same quality. Wouldn't recommend staying. Either worth spending a bit more or about half as much to get a budget accommodation.

Got some work to do!

Where do I start? We arrived off the boat and were left waiting for transfer to the hotel for an hour. Two phone calls later we were finally picked up.
The hotel is Chinese owned, and caters to Chinese tourists, with all the best dining tables reserved for lunch for the Chinese. Day 2 awoke to no water in the room. Cocktails served in plastic glasses. The room looked nothing like the website, and more resembled a basic inner city style hotel room from the 1990's. On an up note, the food was great as were the staff. One last thing, that wasn't the hotel's fault, the boat trip back to Bali was horrendous, with the majority of passengers very seasick due to the 30 Knott winds and the boat driver trying to stick to schedule. If you suffer seasickness, I'd seriously reconsider going to Lembongan unless conditions are calm.

Great looking hotel

Our stay started a little rough, they had music with a bass box turned all the way up. You could hear it in our room and it felt like we're sleeping in a dance club. However after talking with the manager he quickly resolved the issue. The ocean view from the room is spectacular and the hotel grounds are kept immaculate. There's three large pools that add to the experience.The only critic I have is the staff don't remember your face so every time you enter the hotel you're treated like an outsider until you tell that you've been staying here for 3 days now. At the end of our stay the manager came to talk with us and thank us for staying. It was a classy touch and shows that under his leadership it could be an upcoming 5 star hotel for sure.
