Amazing views had room right on beach could walk out sliding door to beach. Pool was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2 room with kitchen , it needed updating but was ok. Patio area was nice.

if not for the friendly staff id leave the worst review possible. lady at the front desk and her husband were great and were helpful and friendly.

truth be told thats where the good stuff ends. the room is old and nasty, smells really bad. bed is funky and if not for being exhaused we might of slept in the car, or somewhere else.

id bet MOST women would HATE the bathroom. my wife did, she didnt want to use anything in it, its nasty.

you ARE right on the beach, BUT most liekly it will be filled with trucks and tents THE ENTIRE TIME. so you wont be able to enjoy any of it.

they DO have a nice pool, and its clean. (i guess is another plus).

Staff? Great. Anything else? not so much.

Nice beachfront stay, comfy beds, clean pool. Room was halfway decent...could have been cleaned a little better but That was my wife's assessment. I just wish there was little things like a sponge for the dishes, and a hair dryer. Price was not too bad, I love the location, and the beach is my favorite. Id stay again ! Pretty good choice!

The rooms are dated, decorated cheap hotel style, need repairs, deep cleaning and upgraded.

The exterior of the buildings are in need of repairs. The parking is ok but no easy access to rooms. Definitely not handicap accessible, the unloading and loading was quite the task for me!

My family and I got this hotel to escape from are everyday life the beach view was great the kids loved the pool the hotel could use a update but that didn’t really bother me the room was big enough for each of my kids to have there own space while we were staying the ac broke the staff was very fast at getting the issue resolved I’m from Florida so it really wasn’t that bad. I would definitely go back and get the same room

Very good beachfront view outdoor space. We enjoyed having breakfast while watching the sunrise with our dog. The only space our dog was not allowed was the swimming pool area. Will definitely be back.

Price was great for an oceanfront room with access to a pool & the beach. Limited parking, room was functional but could certainly use updates. The floor of our room was disgusting, but everything else was clean. Our AC did not work and they immediately replaced it with a functioning unit, friendly and responsive staff. We are non-smokers and unfortunately everywhere we went outside on the property or our balcony, all we could smell was cigarette smoke, wish they had designated smoking areas. Would stay again for the amenities.

The room was awful, you could see through the towels and it was not clean. My granddaughter and I were attacked by a dog twice. Once when we were walking to our room and then again when I decided the room was not acceptable. I requested refund and you did send refund for one night but I paid for 2 nights. I would like the remainder of what I paid refunded as well. Thank you

Enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and was ocean view. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was nice, refreshing, and clean. Even provided some pool fun items for the children. Easy access to the beach/ocean. And a shower to wash off coming off the beach. Fun activities and eateries near by. Beautiful sunrises!

I am not a high maintenance person. If you are this is not the place for you. I thought it was fine. You are literally right on the ocean. The upper floors have a great view of the ocean and the main floors have direct access to the pool. I don't know that I would want to spend a whole week here but we needed a place to stay for the night and wanted to be on the beach. The pool area and beach access was great. It had a little kichenette which we didn't really use but would have been helpful if we had been staying longer. It was clean. The room did have a little bit of a smell but they allow animals so I'm not surprised. Again, the room was clean though including the bathroom. This is a cheap, pet-friendly option and I am glad places like this exist so that not only rich people can enjoy beach access.

The room was clean, no complaints there. Staff was very nice from check in to check out. Booked a beach view room with balcony or patio, was in room on ground floor so patio with access to pool.. beach view was nice. Parking limited but hotel offers additional options, this is going to be an issue at most hotels or motels in Daytona area so it was expected and not an issue. Only “problem” was guests directly above our room was stomping around (either children or parents chasing after children) - woke me up at 7am and after patiently awaiting them to leave or stop for an hour, called front desk who was very nice and noise stopped. I have never complained but it was extremely excessive - overall was happy with how it was handled. Have stayed here once before and would stay again.

Driftwood motel. No issue with room or staff. This motel does not have an elevator to get to the upper floors, you will walk flights of stairs (we ended up on the third floor, even with handicap request). Location is beautiful, right on the beach, the view from the room is outstanding. Be aware that not all rooms have a balcony to watch the sun come up. With the lack of an elevator, I'm not planning on staying there again.

The staff was excellent! We truly enjoyed our time there and I’ve already booked for next year. Basic amenities, and slightly dated, however it is well kept and doesn’t try to hide anything. It is just steps from the beach, and close to many bars and restaurants. My wife and I loved our time there.
I would have given 5 stars but the parking situation can get a bit precarious. We had to park across the street the only night it rained, ha ha. No biggie.

The toilet did not flush. I had to use a plunger every time I went to the restroom. If you don’t get a balcony of view, you’re looking at a wall thankfully, I did have one the screen was out of the window, and I probably would never stay there again.

For the price, you get a comfortable room that does exactly what it needs to do—plus an ocean view on top of that.
One of the highlights was being able to step straight out from my room and enjoy a morning run on the beach. That alone made the stay worth it.

Ended up adding days and ended up staying three nights asked for towels and never got them so in 3 days no clean towels were giving other then what was there at very beginning. We were there three nights and didn’t get clean towels throughout the stay. No housekeeping what so ever. The price was higher than usual and service was not good. 1st room was NOT good. Bedding was old & stained with a few dead bugs inside the sheets and bedspread so we asked to be moved since our room was nonrefundable and we had paid for 4 nights. The nice gentleman who worked there not only moved us but upgraded us and in the 2nd room we found no bugs although the bedding still looked old with stains, luckily for us I had brought our own mattress cover, sheets, comforter & pillows from home so we used our own. The room itself appeared fairly clean, towels were white with no stains, AC & Microwave worked well. We didn’t use the coffee maker or stove top. The balcony gave a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The pool area was beautiful and appeared to have been recently re-done. We had no issue with parking during Thanksgiving weekend & checkout was easy. Our $100 deposit was back on our card within 3 days as promised.

My recommendation to the management/owners:
Throw away all bedding and buy new bedding that’s not all stained, encase your mattresses in zippered covers to protect from stains & bugs & hire a professional pest control. With these few changes your complaints & bad reviews would go down drastically & you’d have return customers.

What I learned: ONLY BUY REFUNDABLE ROOMS & READ GOOGLE REVIEWS because they’re most accurate. I read reviews that were mediocre but I expected that for a lower priced hotel. The day after my Dtr asked if I read Goggle reviews so I did & regretted my purchase immediately.

The motel was dirty, there was bugs in the room, there were bikers in the parking lot doing drugs, drinking and fighting. There were BURN marks around the power outlets.
We felt extremely unsafe and left after one hour and stayed at another motel for the weekend

I knew it was an older motel and I know pictures can be deceiving. So I went in with an open mind. However, there is literally no parking. Our room was extremely outdated and smelled like mold. The smell was so bad that I went and got air freshener spray and an air freshener. It was very hard for me to breathe and I don’t even have asthma or anything.The door was very hard to open and close. Front desk was very kind and helpful. The pool and beach access area was nice. However, the steps going into the pool had no railing. We chose to eat dinner outside at the pool area since I couldn’t breathe in the room. It looked like the rooms that face the beach and pool area are updated And probably more enjoyable to stay in. It is safe to stay here, but I would only stay if it was like one night just to get some sleep. It wouldn’t be an ideal vacation motel for an extended stay.

Each bed only had 2 very uncomfortable pillows.
Building/balconies need deep cleaning.
All doors, front and balcony very loud when closing.
Overall good stay for price, with better upkeep could be very nice stay.
Easy access to beach from hotel but very crowded with beach parking in front of hotel.

The support staff were friendly and helpful. Our friend was locked out of their room twice, the first time it was about 11:30 pm and when we called the office they stopped answering the phone, prompting us to knock on the office door until someone answered.
The railing in the pool was missing and a piece of PVC was in the hole.
The sofa in the room looked and felt like it had been rescued from a dumpster or the side of the road.

Loved that suite fronted beach with a nice porch with chairs & table, green area with pergola & more seating. Murphy bed cabinet was broken, futon couch was taped up ? Previous tears repaired?
