I’ve stayed here a few times over the past couple of years. A lovely welcome as always. Clean and the bedding is luxurious and comfortable.
I will definitely return here when I’m working in the area again.

The room was clean, today and warm even if a little dated. The staff (Charles) on the second morning was very attentive and friendly.
Perfect location for the horse racing event at Sandown and access to the train for a trip to London too.

For Us, OK for Overnight Stop

Easy parking, Room was very hot (but fan provided). Window overlooked a busy road, so quite a bit of noise.
Comfortable bed but very small en-suite. The garden doesn't really look like the photo. No flowers, just hedges. The pond was empty and the garden furniture was in a poor condition. Helpful host.

Quiet guesthouse with nice garden

We had stayed here before as it is very convenient for visiting family. Rooms are small but comfortable. Friendly host, easy free parking.
Pleasant pub just around the corner for dinner and very relaxing in the garden.
Good value for this part of Surrey.

I checked in after hours and was left simple instructions that were easy to follow. They had ample parking and my room was clean and warm. It was just a little hard to see the sign from the road at night as it wasn't lit up.

Charles is a wonderful host and his Guest House is delightful. It is a little dated but it is scrupulously clean and has a lovely charm to it.

Lovely small and personal place without the hoards of people like at an expensive hotel. Some of the fixtures could use an upgrade (stair carpet & bathroom fittings) but it’s nothing major. Everything you could want for a freshly cooked breakfast. Warm, cosy, comfortable and bigger than the room I had at a top price hotel recently!

This is a real gem of a guesthouse. Walkable from the rail station within 15 minutes at a fairly slow pace. Comfortable, Friendly and efficient but not overbearing. I stayed November and 'would return if again within a wide radius of the Rosemead, without hesitation. Excellent host. Just superb.

I was in the area for a tradeshow. I stayed here overnight just looking for a place to crash my head.
For a guesthouse, I could not fault the service provided. The room itself clean, comfortable and was well equipped for anything you wanted to make your stay comfortable i.e. TV, electric radiator to keep you warm and a tower fan if you wanted to cool off at night.
The owner was polite, friendly and accommodating.
The only one thing I would say that lets the place down is the communal bathroom and hallway.
Although clean and functional, they are both in dire need of renovating.

Booked the night for my 90 Year old parents to have a night out together and visit the local pub. They were so well looked after everywhere was spotless and the manager was so kind and helpful. Thank you so much they had a wonderful time.

Good - shower only downside

Got there 30 mins after check in due to traffic, place was locked up securely but my keys were left for me alongside a welcome note.
Bed was comfy, room was clean and the tv was a good size for the room. View from the windows was lovely and the tea and coffee making facilities were good. Only downside is the shower piddles out and it takes over 25 minutes to get a full wash as the water has no power.

Warm and friendly place with charm and character

I felt well looked after at Rosemead. Parking was easy, the welcome was kind and the room was fantastic. I required an iron and ironing board which was provided straight away. Full of great quality, solid and characterful furniture. I've stayed at around 7 or 8 places over the last few months for work and Rosemead is easily my favourite so far. I plan to stay again soon.

My husband and I stayed at this Guest House several years ago, it was very good back then, but it seems as the same owner as before has let it go somewhat, we were surprised at the condition of the stair carpet which had tears in every step, also when we got into our room which was room one, we were amazed to see that one of the electric wall sockets was stuck to the wall by some kind of sticky tape, we obviously did not use this socket as fear of getting a shock from it, nor did we turn on the bedside light that was plugged in to it for the same reason, the breakfast's on our previous visits were very good, but this time I am sorry to say that it was well over cooked, as most of the food had black parts on it, also my husband and I have stayed in many Hotels and Guest Houses, but we have never had to give a time that we would like to have breakfast, as the kitchen is open at a set time, usually between 7am and 9am, we stated 8am that we would want to eat, but we got up early so came down early, and we do not think the owner liked that very much at first, cost wise, we paid Fifty Pounds for the one nights stay, if we had known what it was going to be like, firstly we would not have booked it at all, and secondly we would have only wanted to pay half that amount, it really is a shame that the owner has let the essential things slide as it is a nice old building, but it could be looked after much better than it is.

A cosy and typical English B & B.

Location was convenient and the premises had some advantages with good car parking and close to a station. It was cosy and typical English B & B but there were a few things that needed attention to bring it up to an acceptable standard. They were not costly things but we felt it needed a woman's touch. The most obvious was the worn carpet on the stairs now threadbare.

It appeared that a number of tradesmen use the guest house and they are probably not that fussy and the price is fine.

Perfect for the Buster Lang Weekender!

Lovely quiet location close to local amenities. Staff very friendly and Charles' breakfast is second to none!
Nice comfortable room overlooking a beautiful garden. (Could do with a chair to sit on while I was waiting for my wife to put her face on.)
Overall a very pleasant 2 night stay.

A very welcoming and comfortable hotel

The first thing that impressed us was the welcome. Throughout our four night stay the staff were first class - helpful and quick to assist.
The room and en suite were pleasant, clean and well furnished. Minor issues were a lack of drawer space in the bedroom (full of blankets, which made the storage of our own clothes difficult) and an electric shower which was difficult to regulate and with a poor flow rate.
The general state of the house was good, with ample sitting and dining room space for guests. The only minor issue was that the stair carpet was very worn in one or two places,
The breakfasts were excellent and the staff took every effort to make sure we had what we wanted.

I came over to the UK for a funeral and arrived late as I went to visit my relatives as soon as I arrived in Esher. That Charles was there to welcome me when I finally got to Rosemead at 11pm+ was so lovely. A very comfortable, homely place to stay with a great breakfast to get you on the road in the morning - not forgetting a nice chat with Charles who was very helpful and obliging. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Not a good experience

Single room was so small it contained just a small bed, wardrobe and sink. Only shelf surface was on windowsill. Kettle & tea making facilities on top of radiator shelf immediately inside the door to the room. Could be dangerous! General areas not maintained: woodwork not painted or chipped, carpets threadbear etc. Duvet was excellent and bed comfy. Shared facilities nearby. The bathroom was in need of an update and not inviting to use unless desperate. Broken blinds in toilet. Good breakfast but kitchen looked dirty. Would not stay here again despite helpful owner and certainly not value for money compared to hotels nearby with all their facilities.

Stayed here to visit Hampton Court Flower Show. Train station 5 minutes walk away.
Room was cool despite 36 degree heat outside. The manager was very helpful and being able to get access to the kitchen fridge was great for storing cold drinks. Peaceful garden at the rear. Would stay here again for visiting London and especially Hampton Court Flower Show.

Very Well Looked After

Business stay for 2 nights in Esher. Normally I stop at The Bear, but this was closed due to refurbishment. However The Rosemead (if off the beaten track)was sufficient. A little \"tired\" and in need of some decoration, but all in all a nice little place. Charles ( the host) was fabulous from the offset, delivered superb hot breakfast at a time to suit each individual stopping there. Shower was good & hot, but en-suite needed a little TLC, also no seating in the room, so you had to sit on the bed or stand up, but otherwise fine.

Good B&B with a few rough edges !!

I booked our stay not realising that I was booking a room with a shared bathroom ( my own fault ) Our allocated room was the attic room which was up a steep flight of stairs leading to the attic room. The shared bathroom was on the first floor. Whilst this did not cause us any problems I can see that this may be an issue for some people. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner who showed us around. This B&B has charm but is a little dated & rough around the edges. The carpets looked like they were ready for replacing. The attic room was very comfortable & clean. The bed was superb & therefore sleep quality was excellent. In the morning the freshly cooked breakfast was very good. The B&B owner was always available to deal with any queries we had. The location was ideal for us visiting Kempton Park racecourse. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We would stop at this B&B again but would book an ensuite room.

Nice guest house in an old building

It wasn't easy to find the place as no visible enough sign nor house number.

Our double room was located on top floor accessible via rather steep and high staircase. There was a little basin only, no bathroom, no toilet (not ideal when you need to use the toilet at night). People staying in room under ours were disturbed by our walking up and down the stairs at night.
The room was clean and nicely decorated window opening to a lovely garden.
The shared bathroom and toilet were clean.
Dining room was lovely and well equipped. Served breakfast (Full English) was tasty and hot.

I stayed here to be close to work the next day and was on a budget. My room was tiny but the welcome was friendly, the facilities clean and the breakfast was superb so it was all good value. Slightly faded, period feel to the place but entirely suited to my needs.
