Hotel casa colonia is beautiful as a whole. But the room we stayed in was so doom and dark that we left a night earlier because we couldn’t be inside the room.
Everything was proper, clean, well kept, but the lack of light made it impossible to stay and be relaxed.
The property has a beautiful pool and staff are kind and helpful. Only offers breakfast and dinner. I am not sure I would choose to stay again.

Casa Colonial is a beautiful, restful, secure place with many charming features owing to its antiquity. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful; the room was spotless and well-appointed; the al fresco dining was delicious; the spa services were first-class; the Centro location was ideal ... and overall it was a great value. En general el hotel está bien. El staff es muy amable, la comida del restaurante es buena.
La alberca se veía un poco sucia. Los jardines y áreas comunes en muy buen estado.
El wifi es bastante malo y las instalaciones de los baños tienen algunas fallas.

Everyone at Casa Colonial was exceptionally friendly. I traveled with my service animal and they were most welcoming. It was enjoyable seeing couples cooling off in the pool. I particularly want to mention Marta, the cleaning person who is the personification of Mexican friendliness.
The grounds are beautifully maintained and though in the heart of downtown Cuernavaca and on both Frida and Saturday nights our room was noise-free. All in all, an excellent choice.

Hotel Casa Colonial was amazing! Beautiful large rooms and very nice pool area. Staff was all super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a master suite for one night and the Presidential suite for 7 nights. Both rooms were large, beautiful and clean.

Small room, beds were very uncomfortable one was so old yhe matter sank all rhe way down the other felt like a plastic hospital bed i had to put blankets on it to make it softer. You are paying for the feeling and looks of an old hacienda not for comfort or quietness.

Es un edificio muy bello. Nuestra habitación daba a la calle por lo que se escuchaba algo de ruido por el tráfico. El bano requiere de cierta remodelación y no estaba muy limpio. Las puertas son preciosas y, probablemente originales, con hendiduras que podrían ser entrada para mosquitos en su temporada. En general buena estancia.

Beautiful property in a historic mansion with wonderful inner courtyard and pool. Definitely worth having breakfast here. Hot water with good pressure in the shower (which has not always been the case during our Mexic trip). Very close to main attractions (cathedral & Cortes palace)

“Comfy and Cozy “

Friendly and efficient staff provided great service. I stayed in a large, spacious room with a comfortable bed, that had direct access to a large terrace, equipped with a table and chairs on one side of terrace and a sofa and large coffee table on the other. Although, it is time to replace the old worn sofa, the terrace provides a very comfortable place for reading or writing. The overall ambiance of this hotel is charming, peaceful, and serene. The breakfast at this hotel restaurant is outstanding. The hotel is perfectly located and a great find for the price. I will definitely be back.

Our first room had a very noisy a/c, but they upgraded us up to a very lovely room—everything worked perfectly. The front desk staff were endlessly helpful. The restaurant was excellent consistently; only complaint was they weren’t open past 2PM, There was classical music coming from the kitchen—a sign of quality people, I think! The gardens are restful. It was an oasis in the middle of a very busy city.

Got injured with the shower rod falling on my back while showering.
Not able to have coffee as I wake up or go to bed or for company.
Light from outside comes
In into the room through door crevices. Had a lizard small one visit me while in bed. No bar, meals only till 2 pm.

At the restaurant the food was very good, but the waitress brought us, some bread we did not ask for, I did ask for the price and it was extra from the breakfast that we order, I think people may enjoy it, thinking that the price is included, but is not, not a good practice, to do that.

Depending on your needs, this may or may not be a good hotel.
We needed a place close to the cathedral and close to the bus terminal to Mexico City and just for one night. Safe and clean go without saying. It met those needs.
The amenities were of little relevance, although it has a nice pool and a dining area around it. They only serve breakfast but, that was all we needed. For some, this may be an issue.
The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.
Being in the center of town means it is an old building which has been upgraded over the years but with obvious limitations. The rooms DO HAVE AC which was a must during our brief stay.
Not a resort, but a good value and it met our needs.

No habia restaurante, y si querias estar en la alberca solo podias pedir cerveza. Nada de cocteleria. No podias pedir ni botana, ni nada. Las camas, de lo mas incómodas, y se movian como locas con las rueditas. El baño sucio y el agua fría. Todavia de la estancia, te cobran el estacionamiento. Jamás volvería

Conveniently located close to the cathedral and across the street from Pullman bus company that can take you to Mexico City. Nice patio and swimming pool. My only complaint was the noise the air conditioning unit was making all night, the second night we moved to a bigger room and had a good night sleep! Breakfast was good and not expensive. Will definitely stay here next time I visit Cuernanvaca!

Casa Colonial is a unique kind of property, not for everyone.
If you like a property with tons of character, with a beauty of a bygone era this hotel is perfect. The room where I stayed was very spacious, and felt more like a casita than a hotel room.
Plenty of hot water, and nice bathroom amenities.
I can’t think of staying anywhere else when in Cuernavaca.

The hotel property is a slice of paradise. The staff are friendly and helpful. The building and rooms are historical but fully functional and comfortable. The walls are adorned with very lovely paintings of a historical nature with some contemporary artwork as well. All carefully chosen as if from a private collection. I only wish I didn’t have to leave.

Excelent hotel to stay in Cuernavaca

This is a 200 years hotel hacienda, in a location with a vast amount of restaurants, banks, bus station, the cathedral, very nice museums and parks, you cant miss to visit the park close to the cathedral that includes a museum which is so worth it.
Very close you will find the Cortes palace and the very well known Casa Hidalgo restaurant that has a very nice view and all the food is amazing and well priced.
The place including the pool area is clean, the interior of the rooms can be improved but in general the place is ok and very well located. I would stay again.

The property is very cute and cozy. There is a restaurant to enjoy next to the pool, which has a very relaxing environment. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. I definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you come to Cuernavaca!

Oasis of Colonial charm In Cuenavaca

Casa Colonial was an oasis of old fashioned charm, set in a garden with a pool. The building is obviously old and quirky but had all the things you need including air conditioning in the bedrooms- which can be hard to find in Mexico. The bathrooms were huge and tiled traditionally but not ultra modern- so were in keeping with the building.They also have Spa facilities available.
It is well situated with a short walk to the Cathedral and main Plaza
The hotel di not open for dinner but there were plenty of places to eat up the road. Breakfast was available from 9-1pm on the weekend. There was a limited snack menu available around the pool and patio till 8pm.
