Everything was fine until someone enters our room at 8 am without even a knock and woke us up, which is startling for 2 women travelling alone. We put the « do not disturb » sign outside the door but still a staff assumed the room was empty. At the front desk, a quick « sorry, the person made a mistake » didn’t feel quite enough

A really lovely stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff we met were super friendly and welcoming. They all spoke very good English which was helpful as our French is a little rusty!
The hotel downstairs is nicely decorated and in good condition. They had cold and sparkling water taps to refill bottles or grab a drink when you entered. The hotel offered parking ( although it is a small underground car park) at €18 euros which we were happy to pay as parking else where is expensive and their car park is secure.
The room itself was nicely decorated and modern. The room size was adequate for our needs and they added another bed for our daughter ( 9years old) which was plenty big enough. Once in the room, the AC worked brilliantly and we were unable to hear noise from outside or other rooms.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to try!

The hotel lists air conditioning as an amenity but quite simply the building's system does not cool the rooms, and the staff is aware of as much. This was quite disappointing since I specifically came here due to my own broken AC. In addition, there was no fridge in the room. Overall it's a place they slapped on new paint on and are a bit cheeky trying to call 4 stars. The receptionist was friendly

Hótel Le Roosevelt was a nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. The room was fine and a good size for me as a single traveler. The toilet was in an awkward spot with part of a wall in the way, so one had to use it at a little angle. But easily managed.
Overall, I rated it 5 stars except for the surrounding area which I rated 4 stars. To clarify, the area itself was fine, it just wasn't in a tourist area, such as Bellecour or Cordeleis. I would classify the area as local commercial, where residents would frequent rather than tourists. Which is itself not a bad thing, depending on how close you want to be to the tourist areas. There are plenty of restaurants and boulangeries in the area, as well as a grocery store one block way.
It is, however, really easy to get to the tourist areas on the Metro. There are two Metro stops within a few blocks of the hotel. Using this line you can get to Cordeliers and Bellecour to visit, or transfer to another line to visit Vieux Lyon, Notre Dame and the Roman Theatre ancient ruins. The Metro lines run frequently, so you won't have to wait for more than 2-3 minutes.

Quiet street-quiet room in back overlooking the parking area. Nice breakfast served daily. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They know the city and can call taxis for you. Many good restaurants in the area and a great Lebanese restaurant about 200 feet away on same side of the street. Rooms have coffee/tea makings and a refrigerator. Beds are comfortable and A/C etc is intuitive and works. Supermarket is a block away and metro is about 4 blocks away. Lots to see and do. Be careful of pickpockets on crowded metro or trams. Lots of good cafes and restaurants in the city.

The hotel was nice even as we had to change room because in the first one offered the bathroom layout was uncomfortable. The hotel is fairly well situated in a quiet street and close to Le vieux Lyon. The hotel has no parking and we had to use a private close one at a cost of 20 € a night (special 3 day rate). Eating facilities around were limited. But overall nice hotel.

Hotel was generally good but we were let down by the promised air conditioning being shutdown for winter *in September* when it was well over 20 degrees daytime. Rooms very hot at times but the usual French shrug was the response at reception. Global warming? Doesn't exist in Lyon apparently.

It is paid, but there is very expensive parking around, so we were happy to have this option. Would come back any time

Hotel is warm, modern, quiet, spotless with a good breakfast. It has a corporate / short term stay feel about it - it doesn’t have a proper bar, lobby etc. so you only really use the bedroom facilities. Very good continental breakfast each morning. Location is good - close to metro but it is a long walk to the old town. If I was going to Lyon for a weekend break I’d recommend staying in hotel in the 2nd Add. as it’s a better location. That being said the metro is cheap, easy to use and 5/10 min walk from hotel.
One thing to note - the beds are really HARD. If you’ve a sensitive back maybe not for you.

This is a lovely hotel, with very nice staff and a great breakfast. We chose this hotel mainly because of location and it has parking, but the whole experience has been great. The person at the front desk was so helpful in recommending a restaurant on a Sunday evening too. We have travelled the world and this is one of our favorites overall.

La chambre était extrêmement calme et les matériaux luxueux (suite), avec un espace fauteuils bien aménagés. Elle était équipée d'une baignoire ce qui est toujours apprécié :) J'ai par contre regretté l'absence de machine à café.
Au niveau du personnel, il était courtois mais pour être honnête 4 hommes pour accueillir une femme seule peut être un peu impressionnant. J'aurai aimé avoir une présence féminine à l'accueil.
Enfin malheureusement le petit déjeuner ne vaux pas ses 16€ selon moi, il manquait de diversité dans les choix + arrivée à 9h30 aucune table n'avait été refaite depuis le début du service donc plus de couverts propres dispo + la salle est extrêmement bruyante car fait raisonner les voix des groupes qui parlent.

Excellent hôtel, facile d'accès (15 mn à pied de la gare Part Dieu), dans une rue calme, mais près de tous les commerces/restos du cours Roosevelt (et du Métro Foch). Excellent accueil. J'avais une chambre simple, très bien pour une personne. La salle de bain est exiguë, ce qui peut poser un problème à certaines personnes (entrée de la douche, environ 50 cm de largeur). Je n'ai pas testé le petit-déjeuner.

O hotel esta num excelente local, porem, se forem no verão, se preparem, o ar condicionado nao funciona como deveria, passei mal, me deu panico com aquele ar quente, elevador minusculo e antigo. Quarto e banheiro limpos e pequenos, STAFF bacana, mas pra quem quer conforto, esqueça. Passar calor num hotel esta fora de cogitação. Em casa temos ventilador etc, mas num local estranho nao podemos fazer nada. Abrimos a janela (ainda bem que abria), e so consegui dormir qdo o clima externo diminuiu na madrugada.
